Visiting Places
When I was nine years old, I visited Washington DC for the first and only time. There was so much to see. I went and visited the Washington Monument. I visited the Smithsonian Institute. I visit Capital Hill where Congress meets. I was so impressed with the size of that building. It was during that time I started to get interested in politics.
I also visited Ford Theater where Abraham Lincoln was shot. There was a little display set up in the basement of Ford Theater where you could see some special memorials from that fateful night.
The one place we didn’t get to see was the White House. At the time, it was always closed on Mondays. I really wanted to see what it looked like on the inside even if it was a two hour wait.
Don’t mention a state or a country. Name the one place you would like to visit.

Heaven
Disney World
Teen Valley Ranch (Plumtree, NC)
Hawaii… and one day I’ll go!

Paris. So you haven’t seen a Bruce Lee movie? I recommend you see “Enter the Dragon” and “Return of the Dragon.” Those are must-see Bruce Lee movies. I promise, these two movies will not bore you at all.

The Eiffel Tower
I’ve been there before but I was sleeping when we went to sight-see. They asked me if I wanted to go up and I said “no”. Well, it turns out I was talking in my sleep, had no recollection of them asking me, and was terribly upset when I found out what had happened.
NYC, the Statue of Liberty and Rome.
(Oh was it “list ONE place you’d like to visit? LOL I never was one for paying attention to the “rules” LOL!)
Torgua Hill in Germany, where one of the deciding battles of the 18th century was fought.
Sorry, i can’t name just one: Great Wall of China … the pyramids … International Space Station … Taj Mahal … Himalayas … and many, many more
Just a comment, first — I have been on the White House tour but I’d like to go back. I’m afraid I was old enough to remember being there, but too young to appreciate it!
That’s a tough question….. I know there are places (as in countries or states) that I’d like to visit, but I don’t know if there is a specific place I’d like to see. Oh! You didn’t say not a city so….. London!!
The best pizza place in the world.
How’s that for not naming a state or country?
I would like to visit wherever I can to see the Aurora Borealis.
The Taj Mahal. I would dearly wish to visit that awesome monument.
Everywhere, anywhere, and nowhere.
The Vatican. I would love to see the art collection there.
Does it have to be just one ? Hollywood.. maybe Las Vegas..
God Bless..
If I were to disregard Time, I would say the Great Library of Alexandria. Before the idiots burned it down. But if we were to take into account Time… Penguins on the Beach.

The Engineering and Science Facility in Antartica
The current heart/soul of my beloved.
a really good stargazing rock in the middle of a meteor shower.
Vietnam Memorial Wall or the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial. I have a friend who visited with her family and her little girl. At the time the girl was around 5, I think. My friend didn’t think her daughter understood what had happened, but took her anyway. They looked around and the daughter was perfect, no loud talking, no loud walking around. About the time they were leaving, her daughter squeezed her hand and said, “I get it Mommy.” It makes me tear up each time I remember the conversation. It must be such a powerful memorial!
The massage therapist’s office.
I would love to go to Bavaria again, and Octoberfest
The Eiffel Tower, Body Worlds, the White house
Gettysburg
Prague
Ayer’s Rock
Yellowstone National Park, or Old Faithful

Now to visit the White House you have to make reservations at least six months in advance….my parents went this summer and didn’t get to see the inside, but had a wonderful trip. I can’t wait until my kids are old enough for us to go…..and yes that will be awhile.

2) this lil’ Chinese restaurant in san francisco’s chinatown… yummy chow fun…
3) the park area near the golden gate bridge… I forgot the name exactly… where everyone runs, bikes, play with their kids, toss with their dogs, etc… I wouldn’t mind running right there now… as opposed to sitting here at work and getting sidetracked…
4) the aids memorial in golden gate park… their long bench would be nice to lay on right now… trees shading the sun too…
5) that one area in den hag (netherlands) where the trolley tracks all meet at the shopping center… to stand there and watch all the ppl on the trolleys…
6) for some odd reason right now, the sudden urge to be on those lil’ cable car thingies at ocean park (hong kong) where they bring you from one side of the park to the other side over the bloody mountain and all those jagged rocks below that you can see cause the floor is glass and me being scared crapless cause I’m afraid of heights… for some odd reason, the sudden urge for that…
7) my grandparents place in the bronx (ny)… well… their old place since they’re gone now… I want to sit on their couch that I completely sink into cause the thing is like literally a foot of the ground and years and years and years old…

i’ve been to dc twice. i was really impressed by it too. i was not impressed at all by kennedy’s eternal flame. to me, that one was a big let-down. i was most impressed by ford’s theater. the museum underneath it with the clothes, guns, & actual stuff from that night really got to me for some reason. i had never even been interested in it before then, but it just had a way of really getting your attention. i don’t know what it was about that place.
my favorite thing is snow skiing, so my favorite place would be a freshly powdered mountain i have never been on. i would want it to not be in the big us, though. i know i’m not supposed to mention a country specifically, but i think i’d have a killer time by the lakes & mountains of switzerland.
Fenway Park
Hagia Sophia.
The native rock art just west of Thermopolis, WY.

However, I suspect I’ll be lucky to get out of the State before I die.
Sigh
