  • Personality Traits

An adult recently told me that my son asks a lot of questions for a child his age.  He mentioned that my son would ask difficult questions that were hard to answer.  I couldn’t help but to chuckle.

What quirky personality trait do you plan to pass on to your children?

  • Loneliness Part 3

Would you rather spend your whole life believing you were loved and being wrong or spend your whole life knowing you weren’t loved?

  • Loneliness Part 2

Who is more lonely, a person with only two good friends or a person with ten good friends?

  • Hollywood

My wife and I were watching a show the other day.  As I was watching the show, I told her I couldn’t believe the subject matter.  I thought it was amazing that people would think up the stuff that was on the program.  The program made it appear that the subject matter was normal activity.  I had never heard of any of my friends ever participating in the activities they were expressing.  I don’t want to even mention the content on my site.

I have heard that Hollywood only expresses what people are really doing anyway.  Others would say that Hollywood is expressing ideas that ultimately are corrupting society and morals.

Is Hollywood having a negative impact on morals or are they simply reflecting the morals of our country?

  • Miners

Is the media more concerned about being first than being accurate?

  • Prayer Post Part 9

Tonight I want us all to pray for one another.  We will list prayer request that are weighing us down.  You can list your prayer request and then stop and pray for all the others.  If you don’t have time to stop and pray for all the others, you can pray for the person who commented just above you.  In fact, if you pray for that person, go to that person’s site and tell them you prayed for them.  I cannot promise to return every comment.  But I will pray for every request that is left on here.  You can even leave the same prayer request again.

David said in Psalm 4:3 “The LORD will hear when I call to Him.”  We can know that God will hear our prayers.

So if you have a prayer request, leave it here.  Pray for as many as you can.  But at least pray for the person above you.  If you have time, go tell the person above you that you prayed for them.

Do you have any prayer request?

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger

A friend of mine and I were talking about potential candidates for president.  She was wondering what I thought of the potential of Arnold Schwarzenegger as a candidate in 2008.  You may know that it would take a change to the constitution to allow for him to be president.  Currently only someone who is born in the United States can run for president.

Should the constitution be changed so that Arnold Schwarzenegger can run for president?

  • Library Part 2

Should a public library filter content that can be accessed on the internet?

  • Library Records

Does the idea of the government checking your library records bother you?

  • Prom

When I was a junior in high school, I wanted to go to my prom.  I was at work one night and was working with this one girl.  I kind of liked the girl but had never asked her out.  I had a friend who had just asked her to go to prom with him but she said she couldn’t go with him.  She told him her parents wouldn’t let her go.  I thought that was probably just an excuse so I thought I would ask her.  I felt it was a risk to ask this girl out because she worked with me.  I knew if I started something I would still have to work with her.  I was at the stage in my life where I didn’t want a girl creating a lot of drama for me.  But she was cute so I decided to ask her out.

We had to go down to the storeroom to get some items.  I asked her if she wanted to go and she said “Yes.”  I was looking forward to my prom.  I wanted it to be special.  I didn’t want to go with a girl I had gone out with before.  I liked the idea of going with a girl to prom that would be a first date.  I always liked first dates.  I thought it would make the night more magical.  She was super short and I was tall.

The night couldn’t have been more perfect.  I didn’t go out with her before prom even though I asked her out a month or two in advance.  The night was carefully planned by me but also very spontaneous.  We danced and held hands.  I think we looked funny on the dance floor with me being so tall and her being short.  But I quickly forgot about that.  I just loved the way her hair was fixed and the cute dress she was wearing.  Everything about her was perfect.  I was a little more straight laced and she was less that way.  But it made for a great combination.

We went out to Chicago that night and got lost.  I brought her home at about 5 in the morning.  And then we kissed.  It was a simple kiss but very special.

What was your greatest high school memory?
