  • FIRST!

    Nicholas

  • my daycare teacher

  • My father. Even though we live together.

  • what the big deal about first?

  • My friend Ben, he was great but he kind of tore his life up and I haven’t seen him since

  • I was friends with a group of kids in my middle-school, but when high-school came around, we sort of went our seperate ways. Now that we’re in college, it’s extremely rare that we ever see eachother. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of drifting apart from people you’d thought you’d be friends with forever.

  • My friend Scott from High School.  We tried to stay in contact at first, but after 6 months just completely lost contact with each other.

  • Well, at least I made the top 10, haha.

  • easy peasy Q

    my cousin’s

    i haven’t seen them since i was 6 or 5

which is like… 9 years ago… i’m going to go see them in the summer tho!!

    <3 Catrina

  • my grandfather. He could actually put me onto the right path in life and let me know if my atheistic views are correct or if I should really get some religion in my life…lol, that’d be interesting. Man, do I miss him.

  • My best friend who moved.

  • David!!

    Nicholas

  • Scott.

  • 5 years…My best friend growing up.  Her name is Jelayne.  Me and her were pretty much inseperable and then she moved to South Carolina.  I went down to visit once a year and then it stopped…

  • alex.

    alexandra paige to be exact.

  • Any one of my friends from high school.

  • My friend Jeff from high school.  I pretty much ditched him when I went to college.

  • Well, my friend Alex hasn’t been five years yet…maybe Jackson…

  • Hmmm… I’m not sure. Perhaps some college friends.

  • There is no person I have not seen in five years. I am not very old, and we travel a lot. But there are people I haven’t seen in two years … or even one year …

Mr. Theologian, sir, you have a way of hitting where it hurts.

I should talk to people on the phone more often.

    God bless,
    Shohna

  • My friend Brent. I wish he’d give me the time of day now.

    *A*

  • Oh … wow … I didn’t realise how young this post is … cool!

  • oops! Five years… I’ve seen him within five years.

I guess my best friend from K-3rd grade. – Weston

    *A*

  • It would have been my friend Amanda, but I got to see her again a few months ago. That made me happy. Now, I can’t really think of anybody that jumps out in front of the others.

  • My grandmother who died….I loved her so….

    Candy

  • my old roommate. we were like soul sisters and had a falling out.

  • All the kids I used to be friends with in elementary school before I had to move…I’d love to know what they’re doing now…especially the guy I had my first huge crush on, Bruce.

  • The math teacher I had for all four years of high school. They probably played one of the biggest roles in helping shape the person I’ve become.

  • Shauna. Girl I have alot of history with.
I’d really, really love to talk to Chandler, since we now live across the country, and have been best friends on and off since before kindergarten. But I manage to see her every year or two, so. Doesn’t meet qualifications, haha.

  • my mother and my first crush……..

  • yeah i came across those pics and topic and decided to write about it. i personally found the body implants to be gross.

np for the ‘kind words’ andd as for the person..

there are many, all about the same amount i guess.

  • That’s a good question. I don’t know. I think maybe I better let sleeping dogs lie. ;)

  • My best buddy Joe…he’s in Italy right now and I miss him dearly!

  • My best friend from elementary school, Aaron.

  • Ky Park, the most beautiful person I have ever met.

But I cheated, because I haven’t seen her in 3.

  • hm.. for some reason.. i couldnt think of anyone….

  • An old high school friend.

  • My grandfather.

Or for someone still living, a pen pal who I met once in ’99 and lost touch with over the years.

  • Cagnur…my friend in Turkey who I was really close to when I was there…I miss her so much…lost complete contact about 3 years ago…very sad for me…

  • My 4th grade teacher, Ms. Kline.

  • wow… this one’s kinda tough.

One person I’d say is my old best friend Amanda.  We were inseparable when we were kids.  Then my family and I moved to the states and for a while we wrote… then eventually it just kinda stopped.  She got married a couple years back, my parents got an announcement.  I emailed her twice and never got a response.  She has a kid now.

  • my cousin, katherine

  • an old friend.

  • my grandmother or my father in law, both of who have moved on. I talk to them, but it would be nice to have them talk back.

  • Devan, perhaps. He is a boy that attended middle school with me before I moved to Florida. It’s not 5 years; it’s 3. In addition, I did have an opportunity to talk to him one time since, but it was for only about 3-5 minutes.

I have added you to my protected viewing list in case you are interested.

  • My former best friend Jeff.  I lost him when he got married and his wife told him no female friends….

  • My old buddy Ross, he moved away to a different city. We had stayed in contact for awhile but then never talked again. I tryed finding him on MySpace but couldn’t.

I would also like to talk to a girl I used to go to school with. Her name is Sally, and also a few other people from school.

Other then them no one else comes to mind.

  • hmmm, its be a year, but my ex gf, natalie drozda.

  • my grandmother…

    she died…

    i miss her

  • My friend Clinton… We were best friends in high school. I stayed closer to home for college, he went four states away. He hardly ever comes home and I haven’t seen him in ages.

  • Mrs. Perrin…She was my favorite teacher in school.

  • Any one of my exes….At one time they were an important part of my life and I am nosy.  It would be nice to catch up on their lives.

  • my best friend thanh when i was a kid…hanvt seen him since i moved away.

  • my old friend Jason…. childhood sweetheart kinda thing…

  • I can’t pick one…my maternal grandparents.

  • Well, 5 years ago I was only 11, so let’s just pretend you mean two years. The answer to that would be all my friends and teachers from my old school. I haven’t even seen my best friend in all this time, though we do keep in touch. But how long can that last, I wonder. Then my favorite teacher ever…I hear she’s very sick.

  • My grandmother. I’ve spoken or seen her in 10 years.

  • My mother.   My dad’s a close second, but it’s only been 4 years.

  • no one comes to mind…i graduated from hs last year…so there really isn’t anyone…
    Kelly

  • a great friend that i haven’t seen since i moved outta NM over 6 years ago

  • Derrick, probably. :)

  • Three of my exes.

  • Michael Hibbard.

  • zoe bake-paterson and jeremy macleod

    sorry that wasn’t one ;p

  • Whoever from my childhood is now an eligible bachelor/potential soul mate.

  • The friend I new before they took a path that I could not tread

  • It’d be weird for me. To speak with that person again. But, it’s something I’d like to do.

My cousin in Korea. Our language barrier kills us. I have plenty of cousins, but me (I have a twin brother) and her were the closest aged cousins. We were best of friends in 5th grade when I went to visit. I went to visit again the summer before my junior year in high school. The language barrier just grew and we didnt’ really talk. I’d really like to talk to her more. However, I did talk to her brother more who’s.. 4 years younger.

  • hmmm i guess my pops…though he’s been gone longer then five years.

but i only came to this conclusion because i read the first five commentors.

    that is an interesting…question.

    i think i will subscribe.

  • Oh. And I’d also love to talk to my [biological] father. He died when I was two.
From what I’ve heard though, he was a really great guy. So.

  • My parents (both dead way more than 5 years)
    Grandparents (all dead)
    My cousin, Sharon (also deceased)

    So many….

Mikar, a friend who helped me through some very tough times and with whom I’ve lost touch.

  • My father.

Hi Dan, hope you are doing well.

    Take Care

Don’t get buried in the snow tonight.  Oh hey,……………

I haven’t been on line much so I don’t know if you wrote about it or not, but did your part of town come out ok, after last weeks tornados.  I hope you all r ok.

  • My gran – she was such a difficult lady but now that I am older I think I understand her and I would love to tell her that

  • My mom who passed away a few years ago.

  • You misspelled “too”; it’s “to.”
    I should say… my 6th grade teacher.

  • Five years ago I met this stranger on the way back home from Malaysia.  We tried to keep in touch but lost contact.  I would love to spend one hour with him again.  He was alot of fun.  What about you?

  • Mine I haven’t seen in three years, hope that’s ok!
It is a guy called Fred who moved from NM to Texas and I lost touch with him. He was a father figure/older brother figure to me and I miss him so much.

  • Scott…an old boyfriend from high school. I’d just like to know how he is doing. He was such a nice guy, it just didn’t really work for us.

  • my grandfather.

ryc: that’s because I was up officially 43 minutes ago {:O)

  • Kanat from kazakhstan. Or benjamin bloomsma, who also used to live in kazakhstan.
    stefan

  • My friend Angela. She moved to Alberta, got married and has 2 beautiful little girls now. I have no idea where she is, or how she’s doing. She moved, and I didn’t have her new phone number and then I moved to England, so she no longer has mine :(   Perhaps one day I’ll find her again.

  • This girl who went to Chinese School with me while I lived in TX…

  • My friend Joey

  • A very good friend of mine, Vincent, died when I was very young. It’s been more than five years since I’ve seen him; I think that this year will mark the eleventh anniversary of his passing. If I could have just a little time with him, to show him what I’ve done with myself, where I am in my life, share my future plans, and ask how he’s doing, and if there is, in fact, anything awaiting us beyond what is in the ”here and now,” then I think I could continue with my life as the happy camper I know he’d want me to be.

    Stephen

  • My old best friend Tyler. I see him everyday but we haven’t talked in years.

  • Bruce Crytzer, are you out there?

  • Josh…

  • My first roommate out of high school…she’s dead many years now from lifestyle choices.

  • well, it’s only 2 1/2 years, but my ex-best friend sarah..

  • Granted it wouldn’t be the best thing to do, being that I’m married….but…

I would like to spend an hour talking (and I mean talking) to an old friend named Tamra.  I knew her in high school almost two decades ago (still can’t believe it’s been that long).  Last time we talked was for about 10 minutes about two years ago.   She came to a point in her life where she needed God, and asked me a lot of questions.  It was a good conversation, and she told me she felt better.

I’d just like to know how she is now.

  • Heather, an old friend from camp.

  • Well, I haven’t seen my two once best friends Kay and Emma in a long time.  I’d like to talk to them!

  • can’t think of anyone from my past that i’m missing now. everyone i’ve wanted in my life i’ve kept in touch with. everyone else isn’t that important to me.

  • My best childhood friend, Katie.

  • Zac an old friend of mine

  • My father.  I never felt I got to know him very well.

    RYC:

“I think it also varies according to experience.”

Variation seems to be the theme – lack of consistency in performance from one individual to another and from one community to another.

    L,r

  • RYC…that’s what I figure for me too.  I’m about a week into it and today is the first day I’ve really felt semi-good since then, so I figure another at least 3 days or so till I’m “normal”.  lol  There’s some nasty stuff out there this year.

As for who would I talk to…I would say any one of my grandparents.  They died more than 5 years ago; 8, 10 & 11 years respectively…but it would be nice…if not a little scary.

  • I will choose 2 people.   My mother who passed away almost 7 years ago and a former lover, and father to my oldest daughter….its been like  15 years.

  • either my ex-husband, to find out if he has stayed clean, or my best friend from highschool, guido, who i miss terribly

  • Well, for someone who has passed, my father. For someone alive, there are so many it would be hard to pick one.

  • RYC: I think it’s cool, too. When I figure out how to use it exactly.

  • My friend Shara. We worked at summer camp together for a few years, and she had a bad experience one year, and then joined an Ashram and went all…”every way points to God”. After one letter of explanation from her, she disappeared. I’ve been looking for her for awhile.

  • my grandmother that passed away (my Mommy Kelly) on my B-Day in 1999- she’d be sooo excited about R and I getting a new house…

  • Moe Benda.

  • first off my oldest sister…no one has seen her in like 4 years….i am worried about her and love her dearly….i wish she would pop out of no where and say hello to let us all know she is well and doing good…that would be awesome if that could happen…it would ease mine, my siblings and most of all my mothers minds….hopefuly that will happen soon….i also hav another….my best friend when i lived in another state…we kept in touch for a long time but it seemed to have slipped away over time as we both grew up, got boyfriends, had kids and lives of our own….i miss her…thats bout it…have a good day dan

  • My grandmother

  • my friend jack. its been less then 5 years though i havent seen him since the summer. ^.^

  • Matt Stine….I bet he’s a cool kid now.  He was a punk 5 years ago though ;)

  • J.B., i’d rather see my old dog than any human.

  • my ex boyfriend daniel. he was mt sister’s best friend’s cousin and he lived in west virginia. he came to visit 3 times a year and during the period when he wasn’t here we’d spend hours on the phone and on instant messager. when he was here we’d spend hours riding our bikes toghether and getting dairy queen, coldstone, or ben & jerry’s. we went on long walks through the woods in my back yard. then we kinda drifted apart… o god i miss him

    *MICHELLE*

  • this is going to actually be a little longer than 5 years, but…oh well.  There was this guy, Tony, who was my best friend in grade school…he was so funny and sweet and smart…I knew him up until middle school, and then he dropped off the face of the planet.  I don’t know where he is.  I just want to talk to him and see how everything is going…

  • Well, not to sound like everyone else, but my best bud from Jr. High Karrissa O.

  • I would have to say my old friend Sebastian from the Kindergarten to the Third Grade. Now I’m in the Eigth grade and I really wish I had a friend like him again.

  • 128th

    my old youth group leader

whom I had a crush on for 3 years

  • My step-mom who left abruptly and never bothered to speak to our family again, except in court which was only to get money out of my Dad.

  • I don’t really know anyone like that.  I guess some old high school friends or something.

  • Good question…probably some girl I met…I really haven’t met anyone that I haven’t seen in the last five years…I keep it real with all my homies…maybe some of my friends from elementary school?

  • jesus.

  • Good question…probably some girl I met…I really haven’t met anyone that I haven’t seen in the last five years…I keep it real with all my homies…maybe some of my friends from elementary school?

  • I like your xanga basically because you update a ton. And it gives me something to do. Thank you, sir, for entertaining me.

And I think I would talk to this one girl. Don’t remember her name. She let me feed her horse apples and had a really fuzzy kitty. I think I last saw her… when I was three or four.

Because I’m typically pretty good at staying contact with people. So I’ve kept in contact with the majority of people I care about.

  • very good question, it would have to by a couple of high school friends, that i use to talk to on a daily basis, however we all lost touch after college :p, wow my answer seems ao generic

  • My old best friend Anjo. i dont even know his real name anymore

  • CAN’T SAY THAT THERE IS ANYONE…I DON’T BURN BRIDGES & I STAY IN TOUCH WITH MOST EVERYONE (THAT I WANTED TO). I GUESS I WOULD LIKE SOME TIME WITH CAT “PRESTON”…HE WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR ME WHEN I NEEDED SOMEONE TO CURL UP WITH.

I have missed him so much since he dies when I was 16…

  • My guy friend Serafin, we were great friends, but we went to college and little by little lost track of each other. =(

  • My old bestfriend Kacey

  • I’m not really old enough to properly answer this question. 5 years ago I was only 9.

  • My friend. We have not seen each other few months ago…but that just feel like more than 5years… : (

  • Myra my ex coworker. She was sweet, I didn’t see her much after I got a new job.

  • my best friend Rebecca Sanchez!!!!!!!!

  • my dad and this girl named Sara from the 5th grade

  • My sister Stephanie…although its only been a little over 2 years.

  • Hmmm, either I’ve seen them, talked to them, or don’t want to.

  • I’m not sure… I stay in close contact with most.

I’m amazed though at the huge number of people who would talk to their Dad’s.
    How sad.

  • Just one person?? OF course it’s someone who’s passed away as if they were still alive, I’d make contact to talk to them…I would be my Dad…just one more time to talk to him, to hear his voice, smell his special Daddy smell, to hug him one more time and tell him how much I love him….so yeah….’til the next

  • My Uncle Charles.

  • I would like to see my dad and talk but he is a stubborn person, he don’t like to listen what others think or say (especially if I’m just his daughter, not his son). I have a really serious arguement with him in the pass 5 years about my life and my future. I do cares about him but I can’t do anything if he don’t care about his daughter =( and I’m not the only daughter in my family, we all are being unrespect all the time.

  • well…it’s not exactly five years…more like one. because anyone that i haven’t seen in five years doesn’t really matter to me. i’ve probably forgotten about them. anyway, i haven’t spoken to a group of friends that i used to hang out with about a year ago since, well, a year ago.

  • My granny.  She was so funny.

  • My friend Theresa. Lost touch after college… regret that.

  • There was a girl in high school that I had an unspoken crush on.  Looking back at what she wrote in my yearbook, I was able to easily create the illusion that she liked me too.  So about once a year, I will google her and try to find her.  No luck yet, as she probably got married and changed her name years ago now.

I actually made finding her one of my New Year’s resolutions.  I now have no illusions of us being more than past friends, but I would like to find her and reminisce a bit.

    Anyone know a Pam Voth?

  • My grandmother.

  • My old best friend Laura. I loved her…(not romantically)…..but she saved me in a way from hell…

  • My aunt Mary Ann. It’s been over 5 years since I’ve seen her, and I really miss her. She lives across the country from me, or I would have visited her. We used to write each other and call each other a lot, but I haven’t heard from her in ages. I think she got angry with me for taking my mother’s car keys away from her. Mama was 81, with hypoglycemia, and had no business driving. I would love to talk to my Aunt Mary Ann over the phone, or e-mail, or anything! I really miss her…

  • i recently IMed a girl, amy, who was my best friend in first and second grade. i moved in third grade and talked occasionally with her online for about a year. but thats been over 6 years. i imed her the other day and we talked for about an hour. it was so weird talking to her. she told me she had a myspace, so i added her. it was crazy seeing my 8 year old amy all grown up. i sometimes wonder what i would be like if i had never moved. it we would still be friends…

  • Corey Tanner — one of my college roommates, who has resisted all of my attempts to stay in touch with her (well, the attempts were like ten years ago, but still).

. . .And the guy I dated before Papa Bear– I’d actually like to talk to him on the phone or in person for an hour or so.  We were such kids when we “dated.”  I’d like to see how he turned out as a grown-up. . .if he has grown up. ;)

  • Cythinia and Leah
