Religion
I read a comment on another site that mentioned that a great deal of the people on my site are Christian. It doesn’t surprise me that I have a great deal of people that are Christian because I am a Christian. But I also think that there are a great deal of people on my site that would not describe themselves as Christian. I am sort of interested in how you would describe yourselves. I want to give a few different categories that I think are out there and then you can describe yourself as one of them or something else.
Which of the following do you think best describes you:
- Christian
- I would not describe myself as a Christian but maybe some day I will become one and I am pretty open to Christianity.
- I am not a Christian but I am not hostile to Christianity. It is just not for me.
- I am a different religion than Christianity.
- I am opposed to Christianity and everything about it.
- Christian

1. Christian – dedicated follower of Christ.

not gonna lie. didn’t read it
want ranking
Yep. I’m forgiven. I’m a Christian.
4.
but some poeple have given me a reason to be 5.
I don’t think many people are fully aware of their views on religion.
I’m not opposed to Christianity, but am not 100% agreeing with it.
Woah, how did I get second? Cool. . . anyway, I guess I should explain. I am a Christian, but I am an openminded philosophic Christian. I believe other religions are also correct, and I’m a democrat. I don’t appreciate people who are closeminded and I tend to think of God as a hippy. So I’m probably going to hell, and it’s just easier to describe me as random.
amazing, i made first comment without even trying…..haha…..
Christian!
1. (FC)^2 all the way
3 & 5
I disagree and oppose and am thoroughly sickened by many christian things, but I don’t preach about them. If someone wants to be christian than let them, same as someone who doesn’t want to be christian.
I AM CHRISTIAN!!
1.
friend of God… that happened thru the blood of Christ, so yes, i would consider myself Christian on that note… depends on what you mean by that though…
1.
I really enjoy reading your site!
Okay… I’m not Christian, but i’m not hostile…. Sort of. If’n you try to convert me or peddle the bible as absolute truth, then i’m hostile. If you think you’re better only because you’re christian, then i’m hostile. Otherwise i’m pretty okay.
1, are you going to tally up these results? cause that’d be cool {:O)
Lessee…do I answer the question then face the wrath? I was raised as #1…now I am #3.
#3
*Gasp* Did Dan just reveal something about himself? I’m shocked. It’s a sign of the Apocolypse…
Christian Catholic, so Number One, and can ya super size it?
#1.
oh, so totally christian.
:] much love.
4 and 5
#1
number 2 I suppose…… I share the same beliefs but I’m not going out of my way to not sin lol
2
i am not a christian but all the school that i went to (except uni) were christian schools!
Whole-hearted Christian… but I guess the screenname, my comments, and my posts kinda gives that away.

Christian, more specifically, Catholic XD
1
::Christian::
I’m a believer in Jesus, if that’s what you mean.
1st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Christian through the grace of God.
Without a doubt CHRISTIAN.
3 mostly. Im a pagan/buddhist.. I dont really think about religion so I never got around to choosing one. I have friends of all religions though and as long as they arent in my face about it what is there to have a problem about?
Christian. ^.^ the only religion for me.
Christian!
CATHOLIC! SO THERE!
Despite the negative connatations the word “Christian” has picked up over the years, I’m happy to claim #1, properly defined.
4.
6. Sinner
numero dos.
Hm. I’d better go with 3 and will likely be 4 at some point.
Christian with whatever else sounds like it makes sense (like I’m personally a huge believe in karma)
ps. I love your site
Define Christian.
#1 for One Thing
I agree with Tonys and Oliver… I’m #3. I was raised Christian… but I now consider myself “spiritual”… I am open-minded about all sorts of religions and incorporate into my own beliefs. “religion” can be too deadly and too painful and too blind to what may be the actual truth
5.. I was once told I was under full control of Satan, actually. XD
I’m not a bad guy, I don’t do anything inherently wrong or against Christianity.. I just have very different views.

3.
I’m not hostile to Christianity nor TRUE Christians, but I am hostile against people who constantly try and hit me over the head with a Bible and try to force their beliefs down my throat. I have no respect for those kind of people. Especially if they get rude and immature about it.
Your options are pretty Christian-centric. Perhaps some people would not define themselves as Christian or Not-Christian, as if there is Christianity and then there is everything else lumped into an undefined category. I’m just noting this since your title says “Religion” and not “Christianity.”
Numero Uno.
i AM christian

1. Christian
Yea, I’m a christian
On another note, I don’t know you, but have heard of you, and I am just checking the site out.
1! God is so incredible!!!!! God loves me so much more than I could ever love Him, and that’s just….awesome!!!!!!!
I am a Roman Catholic Christian.
Most of my friends are Christian, and my parents are. I have respect for them for know what they believe and for following it, just as I have respect for anyone who knows what they believe and follows it. Kudos to them.
As long as believers leave me be and respect my opinion and personal choice to be agnostic, I have no issue with ANY Christian.
I’ve been told by random people here on xanga who have read maybe ONE of my posts and do not know me that I’m “anti-Christian”. Far from it. If I were anti-Christian, then why the hell are most of my friends Christian? I have no beef with them. We get along fine. We get along because I don’t tell them to become agnostic and they don’t tell me to go to church. We’ll debate sometimes, but it’s all in good fun.
With that said, I am 100% NOT anti-Christian. I am just anti ANNOYING Christians, just as I would be anti annoying Buddhist or Wiccan. I’m pissed if ANYONE gives me a hard time about my choices and lack of religion. Not just Christians.
Yea, I’m a christian
On another note, I don’t know you, but have heard of you, and I am just checking the site out.
#1. A nondenominational Christian.
How about #6: I am technically a Christian, but am currently in a state of disenchantment and could care less about religion?
I am Christian… a United Methodist to be specific
I think option 3 describes me best.
I don’t consider myself a christian anymore b/c I do not accept that Jesus is the ONLY way into Heaven. I know many christinas who are also open to other possibilities and still call themselves “christian” but to me accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is one of the most essential tenets of christianity and without that I don’t feel it’s right to claim to be a christian.
As far as christians go… I have mixed feelings. I still adopt and live by many christian standards. I see chirstianity and religion do wonderful things in people’s lives. And perhaps I’ll go back to the church when I have children. But many times the views of christians make my head spin. I cannot stand the judgementalness many christians adopt (which totally goes against many of Jesus’s teachings) and other hypocrisies people exhibit. And it bugs me that so many christians blindly accept their faith and views without there ever being room for questioning or examination. What’s the value in something that you just take in without making it your own?
1.5. Trying to be a Christian.
And before someone gets on my case and brings up the Great Commission and says that my friends and parents are supposed to try and convert me–I know this. But there is a fine line between talking to someone with respect and constantly badgering them.
I’ve politely asked my parents and my friends not to try and convert me. This does not include random debates. And because they respect me as a daughter and as a friend, they kindly do so. So there.
“Preach the gospel at all times. If necessary, use words.”
3/5.
I’m not Christian/or religious.
And I honestly don’t care if people are Christian.
But I hate hypocrites
And I hate religion being shoved down my throat.
So I’m pretty much against the majority of Christians.
And that few I’m not against…
They run a fine line of idiocy.
1
in response to voting i think you’re wrong for teaching your children something that isn’t proven. if anything its proven that voting does count. how can you possibly say voting isnt important when in other countries people are DYING to vote. literally.
i though that might have been one of the most close minded and selfish thoughts somebody oculd ever teach to their kid or say in general.
as for todays entry…
i guess im 3. however im fully against people who try to push their bliefs on you. no matter what religion you are. i hate that. i know my own opinion and i dont need other peoples :]
im not saying you do that w. religion.. but yeah, im 3 i guess.
number 4
1. I am a true-blooded Christian. I have a story about it to…
But that’s for another time.
5: I was once incredibly angsty about it and felt there should be some kind of insane violent manifesto against it, but i’ve calmed down recently. I’ve realized that most people that go to church every Sunday are, for the most part, somewhat dedicated and God-fearing. Of course, i only know this because i’m still “dragged along” to church nearly every week too. Surprisingly, though, it’s actually really interesting to see it from an anti-Christian perspective. For example, i start to see the Bible as a piece of literature…
Wow, this has gotten really off-topic. I guess i’ll just end it with the fact that its values don’t suit me and i think its history is still prevalent today with the way many Christians treat other belief systems.

6. Devout believer in Fox News and the 700 Club.
Numero Uno, Senoir Dan.

very much a christian…
Agnostic. I could care less.

i don’t like those pushy, bible belt crazy christians that believe everybody else should be christians. like my mom.
what are the difference between 3 and 4? I would be either.

1.5 Christian but struggling with life

I think you already know but I’ll post it anyway. I’m a Christian and so proud that my daughter is getting baptised this Sunday and so she will also be a Christian. Did you see that post of mine?
i am a Christaian all the way out
#1.
I am a christian.
I guess I’m one and two. Actually, I was baptised into the Catholic church… so I have a pretty warped image of religion. I don’t know what to describe myself as, because I love Jesus, I follow the 10 comandments, I’m just not to spiritual. I live my life the way I want to, religion doesn’t really take up a huge part of my life… I’m confused, lol.
i am a christian, most people don’t think it.

This has turned out to be pretty interesting. I agree earlier with whoever asked for a tally.
I’m sure you have a few that will already be doing it for you!

I am Christian. And I shall never deny the fact, thanks.

#3. I don’t believe in the Christian God. I have faith that there is a higher power of some sort, but I’m not sure what it is. I respect people’s religious beliefs, and the one thing I hate is when people tell me that if I don’t agree with them that I’m going to hell.
Christian, southern baptist by denomination.

where do you have the time to come up with all these ideas and make all these posts and read all these comments?

I WOULD LOOOOOOVE TO KNOW THAT ANSWER! azntimmae
christian
haha some girl said she’s a Christian but then said that other religions are also right. *sigh*
Perhaps you should do a non-question post explaining your idea of what a Christian is?
Definitely Christian and PROUD OF IT!!
Christian. Not by works nor luck nor any method of my own, but by faith in Jesus Christ, the true and only way to Heaven.
-Jared
none of the above.
I’m athiestic — I can understand why people believe there is a God but I don’t. However I’m not “opposed” or “hostile” to any religion, I disregard them all equally, and support the choices people make in either direction regarding their faith.
3. I am not a Christian but I am not hostile to Christianity. It is just not for me.
#1 I’m a unitarian.
I’m a Christian.
1 all the way. Christian 100%. Nice topic Dan. It’s interesting.
Three.
numero 1. but i dont voice it….i dont have time to listen to people “quiz” me on it. god bless me and my ADHD.
we’re number one! we’re number one!
…ok, that was lame, but yeah, #1
1 Christian
1…even if I’m not very good at it.
1
#1 looking forward to the return of Christ.
none of the above. I am a christ-follower, I think the term “christian” is too easily thrown out, because like 80% of americans call themselves christians but they certainly don’t act like christians are supposed to act. so I don’t want to be thought of as one of those judgmental superficial sunday routine-church-goers. I’d rather be seen as a follower of christ.
<3
3&4. I am an agnostic Jew.
agnostic is a reflection of my spiritual and philosophical development.
Jew is a reflection of my cultural identity.
4
None of those…I have no religion.
and 3…rarely, rarely 5.
1. Christian.
also, I think tis’ interesting the way peoples’ answers on here about their religious affiliations reflect their political and social opinions that they write on this site.

i don’t fit in your categories. and that’s just the way i like it.
I am a Christian
3 and 4. I’m a Muslim.
3. (atheist)
1
Catholic
Chrisian…very Christian
You people seem to think easily as christian. Christian it self means 1.One who professes belief in Jesus as Christ or follows the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus. 2.One who lives according to the teachings of Jesus.
Now, I don’t call myself a christian for the fact that I cannot live up to the standard that the bible has set for me. I choose the second, not because I have not let Jesus into my heart, and not because I do not beleive that he died for my sins (Baptist by the way), but simply because “christian” is something I can only hope of acceiving right now.
6. Christian that never goes to Church.
3. and 4. I’m Buddhist but I respect all religions.
1
1. I’m a Christian, Calvinist, to be more specific.
Christian here Dan…
Love, Candy
I am Christian, but you have to realize that there are a lot of divisions within the Christian religion, whether we like to admit it or not, there are so many different types. I fall into the progressive, personal relationship, non-denominational, liberal Christian. NOT the republician catholic conservative crowd…
have a wonderful day
Michael
Christian.
1. Christian
Catholic
Ultra-conservative, non-denominational Christian – not a Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, or otherwise – just a Christian
forgiven and number 1
ONE…..
Christian…and not ashamed!
christian!
um… My parents are Christian. But I’m only 18-mo old and don’t know of any of that. Man, I’m still trying to figure out how to take over the world, so I dunno about this faith stuff yet.
I’m in between number 1 and number 3 and number 5. It’s complicated. I’m not sure what I believe in yet, and I’m in no way against everything about Christianity. I’m opposed to a couple things, but I like the religion as a whole.
Who can really define a true “Christian” nowadays?
Mostly 3.
Ashamed.
1. And yes, there are those that claim to be Christian and think that they truly are a Christian (and I’m not going to go into a intra-sect argument), but I just want to let you know that I have accepted Jesus Christ as my savior, the Holy Spirit as my guide, and God as my Father and asked him into my life. I did it and I knew what I was doing. I don’t know about other Christian religions, but my southern baptist ‘religion’ says that I’m going to heaven becuase of that. And I see God working in my life every day. I’m glad to know you’re a Christian.

can I say none of them?!
2, 3, and 5. I’m much more of a #3 than the other two, and I don’t like being a #5 when I am.
I’m hostile towards Christianity sometimes, but I don’t like that and I’m trying to quit.
We all have our prejudices, this is one of mine.
1. Christian
#3!
LOL, almost everyone is a 1.
#4 – Don’t believe Christ was son of God, so I can’t join the club.
Christians frighten me . . .
Christian – Bible studier and Jesus follower.
Please post your results, if you would.
RYC: Thanks Dan, and to let you know the situation did work out for my friend ok…it was a pretty harsh wake up call though.
Overall – I’m a Christian. However, I do not believe my beliefs can be held over those of others. Who am I to say the Buddists, Muslims or anyone is “wrong” in their relgious pursuits? I believe, and hope, that am open to all ideas and understandings.
11111111111111111111111111
I believe in god and jesus Christ so what am I?
I believe I am a good person , but sometimes may not be a nice person. Just going through a rough time right now!
I guess I’d pick number three. I like some of the ideas in Christianity, but ideas from other religions are better than some Christian ones. So I’m not really Christian, or any religion.
I am not a Christian but I am not hostile to Christianity. It is just not for me. I’m atheist.
Christian. But I gather you already knew that from my posts!
1. But I believe that when some people claim themselves to be Christian, they really have no idea what a true Christian is.
#1, I love God!
6. I was a Christian, but am no longer. I have no problem with others who are Christian except when they try to shove their religion down my throat.
Christian, which is why I love everyone equally.
Christian – born again to boot!
Somewhere between 4 and 5. Probably more towards 4.
Christian.
i know what i believe but i’m not sure if there is really a group to classify me in. i believe a lot like a jehovah’s witness and they consider themselves Christian but a lot of other Christians don’t consider them Christian. Of course I am not a Jehovah’s Witness just because I share a few similar beliefs.
3 & 4
Well, I was raised Catholic so that puts me under #1, however I don’t really believe in orginized religon so that would put me under #3
Christian- follower of Jesus Christ.- and not only that.. we are friends

100% Christian Forever
2 and 3
I’m back again. I wanted to read other’s comments. It seems quite a few people that are not Christians seem to think that Christians are close minded because they don’t believe in anything else. I don’t think they realize that to truly be Christian you could not possibly believe in any other religion. It’s not a matter of being judgemental or close minded it’s a matter of faith. You cannot believe that the only way to heaven is to accept Jesus Christ as your savior AND believe in other religions, it’s contradictory. It also seems like there are alot of lost people out there, some that admit it, some that don’t. I was once there myself, I believe most of us were or at least questioned our faith at one time or another. I would also like to see some kind of follow up to this post. A follow up as to what it means to be a Christian. Or maybe you could pose the question “What does it mean to be a Christian?”.
Have a good one!
“6. I was a Christian, but am no longer. I have no problem with others who are Christian except when they try to shove their religion down my throat.”
Me in a nutshell
3 and 5.
I’m an agnostic atheist. And I don’t mind Christians in general, I don’t really mind Christianity at all – I do mind all the hypocritical bullshit [Thou shalt not kill - except for anyone who's in the way], etc. And I’m pretty far left. I don’t like the anti-Gay and pro-Life stuff. Especially the anti-Gay, that’s just moronic.
4, leaning towards 5-about some so-called ‘Christians.’
Well, they ALL can’t be brand spanking new!
1.
5 indeed, though it’s an interesting question to pose.
I am saddened by the number of people who put themselves into category five. I think that means two things- that many people in the church need to straighten up and fly right like they’re supposed to be, and that people have many fundamental misunderstandings about Christianity.
<LI>Christian
Christian.
I am all religions
#1
Interesting that hardly anyone said #2.
Larry
i’m kind of surprised to see how liberally and lightly people use the term “Christian.” maybe it should be defined?
4.
I am absolutely not Christian. But the things I dislike about Christianity are the same things I dislike about any religion, or person really. Righteousness with a bit of intolerance dressed up pretty with love. So most Christians are ok, so are most jews, and muslims. There are some truly insufferable athiests as well…
Hmmmmm. I’ll say 1 and 5. Well 1.5 and 5. I’m trying to be a Christian and make it real but have had problems thus far. I also, as with many others, hate it when Christians are hypocrites and try to force their beliefs on people of other religions.
Either #3 or #5 depending on the day or the denomination.
*1*
Christian, properly defined.
1. to the max, a prophetic worship leader.
1. Christian (Southern Baptist)
i came upon this entry late, so i got to read like 230 others before i put in mine. it’s actually really depressing. even reading those that answered #1. some that put they were Christian and then gave an explenation(sp) makes me realize that they aren’t classified as actual Christians. i mean, yeah, they mark it on a checklist for forms and whatnot, but that won’t make them a Christian. this is what i mean…
…Christians follow Christ. that’s where the word is from. if you follow him, that means you believe him; he said he was the only way…ergo, he is THE ONLY WAY. in my mind (and maybe i misread the Bible here) that means if you follow any way other than him, like some said they did, you aren’t a Christian.
i’m not really doing a good job explaining what i mean. if you want to know what i mean, click on my little icon thingy & ask me to explain. i’ll try again. and this is definitely the longest comment i’ve ever left on your site.
I am a Christian, but not the definition that most people would use. I put my faith in Christ, my beliefs, my trust, everything I am and hope to be center around Him. I find the defintion of my being as a reflection of who He is and who He says I am. I have a personal, alive relationship with Him and believe He is the only way to heaven.
That’s what makes me a Christian. Not going to church. Not being religious. Just simply following Christ the best I can, with His help.
Best decision I ever made. I’m a Christian. : }
1-let them bring in the evidence in truckloads.

i’m probably number 2.
I don’t subscribe to any organized religion, but I am in no way hostile to Christianity (or anyone, for that matter, unless they are hostile towards me first). The way I see it, everyone has the right to believe whatever they want, and one thing that really bothers me is when people attempt to force their religion upon others.
one please.
Born again christian, it’s the only way.
# 1!! and loving it! and Him. : )
Christian.
Honestly, you are either a 1 or a 5. There isn’t any middle ground. Sounds harsh, but true.
If Christ would return today, a “fence rider 2″ or an “open minded 3″ might as well be a 5.
There is love and grace for 2-5, and we pray for you, but there is no safety to stay there.
Safety only in Christ.
To make NO decision is to make a decision.
#1…by faith, really.
1
And droach79… you can be of a different religion/faith and still respect Christianity. Just like we can respect other faiths as Christians. It doesnt mean you have to agree… but it doesnt mean you have to hate or shun them either. It’s just a matter of being tolerant, but yet still holding on to what you believe to be truth.
I would say that I’m somewhere between 2 and 3. I’m not religious myself, I’m not a Christian. But I really respect and admire many of the Christian people (and others I know with religious beliefs) because many of them seem to have excellent morals and are just all-around wonderful, good people. Sometimes I feel like there’s something missing in me or I want my life to have more meaning, and it’s then when I think that I might someday become a Christian or something else. But at the moment, I’m no more than simply agnostic, not feeling much one way or the other towards religion.
Christian … and I’m not ashamed to admit it!
I’m totally a 5
No.4
1, im a christian…Catholic, in fact, and loving every grace-filled minute of it
I am a Christian.

Depends on how you define being a Christian.
1. a) Christian: Arrogant, judgemental, self righteous, discriminating, stuck inside a building w/ a whole bunch of cushy benches, complaining about those punk kids…but I’ll still greet you w/ a handshake on Sunday…
OR…
1.b) Christ-follower, reaching out, understanding that “the church” is a large body of people who believe in Christ and not a building, realizing that know Christ does not mean that we have “arrived” but that we only have so much farther to go. CARING FOR PEOPLE…yes, even the homosexuals who are people too… etc etc etc…
I am a Christian in light of answer 1.b)

I can’t understand how some people claim to follow Christ, then call him a liar by saying “other religions are correct…there are other ways to heaven.” that’s not what Jesus said- Yay for cultural Chrisitanity :
honestly even though I should probably be #1, I fall more under #2.
neither of those coices describes me. I don’t believe in god. There fore I’m an Atheist. Not a radical one, but just one.
#1 without a doubt.
When did there get to be more than one definition for Christian?
Isn’t it about being a follower of Christ?
L,r
I was going to comment about the scripture that says He will spew the lukewarm Christians out of His mouth. But I decided not to for fear of offending someone.
L,r
christ follower, christian

Yes, i am a christian and i’m veeery proud ! =)
Definitely, 100% a Christian!!
I think that there should be a licensing requirement for Christians. You have to pass a test before you can wear the label and then you have to be re-examined every 5 years or so. Kind of like a driver’s license thing.
I could write the test!
Maybe we could weed out some of those who judge and condemn first and become like Jesus and show love and compassion first.
L,r
Thanks for posting this.

im a christian but i really dont wanna be. i believe that there is a god that we dont know of that actually did everything
For lack of a better label Christian. Do not subscribe to any organized religious group. Love the bible, God and Jesus. Do not like churches at all, a lot of them are why people are #5.

I am a Christian. I’m actually sort of surprised by your results, as it does seem most people commenting are choosing option one. However, on other questions with the possibility of religious responses I’ve always thought you had a pretty divided group of answers. I would have thought more would be answering two. I think there are some who may not fully understand what Christianity is, and are choosing option one because they think there is a God, or because they think they are good people. But Jesus said the only way to become a Christian is through the acceptance of Him and not through works. I think, as others have mentioned, it would be interesting to ask your readers what the definition of Christianity is.
1
I was a christian for the longest time, but now I’m an offshoot of christianity; gnostic.
3 or 5 depending on how I’m feeling.
catagory 2: I really would like to keep on reading about Christianity, although I am technically a Christian. I’d like to learn more and understand the concept of “faith”
5 – I’m an atheist.
I also don’t like Muslims. Actually all religion bugs me, but some are more tolerable than others.
I think Christianity has, for the most part, good morals, but I greatly dislike those who would pass it off as the Ultimate Truth. Wonderful fables, false religion.

Christian!
Number one, totally and completely.
Uno.
I am #1, but with some serious reservations. I’m a Thomas, I guess.
I’m not Christian and I am hostile to certain aspects of Christianity. But then I’m not a fan of any religion.
#1 JESUS ROCKS MY SOCKS!!
I’m a catagory 3. I used to be a Christian and now am… nothing.

Christian.
born-again Christian
Christian…Christian…Christian…and…Christian…hehe^^
1. All my actions and mentality is geared towards Christianity thouhg I’m still studying other religions.
I’m a 4, for sure.
My family really never had a religion, and I had a lot of people try and convert me to Christianity when I was younger. Eventually I made the decision to explore religion on my own, and eventually became Jewish. (Though I was never officially converted, I consider myself a Jew.) But I also believe very strongly in reincarnation, so I don’t completely fit into the Jewish mold.

3, I’m really agnostic but I do believe that even if it is a more scientific force there is someting larger than us in life.
#1
5.
How about #6 Believes in and prays to God, does not go to church, does not believe everything in the bible. That’s me.
1. This is like your most popular post EVER. Ha.
1. I am a Christian!
Pesky
Born-again Christian.
3, 4, and sometimes 5… though I try not to be hostile to an entire religion because I know not everyone in it is a zelot.
Born-again Christian!!!
God Bless,
Wade
1. Hypocrites exist. Denominations exist. Fundamentalists exist, and that all makes me very sad. Being a Christian means you accept the gospel of Christ and TRY to live by it. We can never perfect ourselves and follow everything we should. That’s just the way it is, and when true Christians’ spiritual struggles are added with widespread hypocrisy, ignorance, and the horrendous events of misguided history and politics (religious wars of 16th century for example) the faith appears to be a shambles…but that’s only the shambles imperfect humans have made in following it that many view and judge. Either those outside the faith are confused or embittered by this, which makes me even sadder.
been here quite a few times to check it out… I like it, and to answer your question: God fearing Christian

5. Opposed to any religion.
I heard a rumor that you and Gucci Man are one and the same. Say it isn’t so. He is such a shmuck.
And as for religion, I like pop tarts.
And fuck all these Xtians. I know you’re pagan just like me, huh?
im totally a christian and i love god and try to everything for him but usually it doesnt work out like that
Definitely #1.
I am Christain, and I go to a Methodist church, but I don’t believe everything in the bible. So I’m basically a six, I don’t take the bible literally and I believe in evolution and not exactly heaven. But I believe in God. Maybe I’m more like agognistic… I don’t know. But for now I’m Christian. ^_^
#1!!! ^_^
a Christian by the grace of God!!
i noticed some people said they were Christians but they dont believe everything in the Bible. Well, i dont know how that works coz if you’re a Christian you have accepted the Lord and thus have believed that He is omniscient and His words are truth. Either you believe Him without question, or you say He’s a liar. I think He’s telling the truth, don’t you?
5. i think everyone has a right to their religion, i’m not trying to like… tell people their religion sucks. but i personally, amd completely opposed to it.
1.
Enough said.

I’m a practicing Catholic (Christian!).
I”m a Christ follower
3 or 4 I’m an atheist so therefore i am without religion but i am not particularly hostile towards chirstianity, though I do not believe many of the things that it teaches.
Christian. Sometimes stuggling Christian, but a Christian.

YEAH… I’m all those thing, well at least I try to, but God is merciful, so when I do mess up, He forgives. Being a Christian doesn’t mean you’re perfect, you’re forgiven.
w00t w00t! CHRISTIAN!!!!
I fit into the first category, but I want to add to it: Roman Catholic
Christian. Wish I was a better one.
ehhhh 4 and 5 mixed
Probably a 3 or a 5. I can’t decide. Maybe if I square root it, divide by it’s median, and add 2, that will be my answer. (I don’t have to show my work, do I?)
I am a different religion than Christianity.
Okay, um, I’ll take #1 for $500.
2. I am very confused about religion and don’t know what to do.
1: follower of Christ, w/o we’re nothing. Get it thru ur ehads 4′s and 5′s

It strikes me as bizarre that you, who seem to be so perceptive and intelligent, buy into such an obvious ancient farce. Don’t the overwhelming scientific and sound philosophical objections to Christianity eat you alive?
3 i think
1. Christian

None of the above… 6] I want to be a Christian.

#1 christian! My God rocks all the way!
None of them.
I am a Catholic.

woah!!.. i can’t believe MOST of the people who noted said they are christian and only a few said they weren’t and or hated it.. this entry suprised me

Number one.
I am a Christian
dang. you elicited quite a response. 368 comments. wow.
I personally would say #1 as my response but with this objection: I think the word “christian” has become a bad word in American society today, meaning hypocritical, judgemental, closed-minded, and rude. I would much rather go by “follower of Christ” than “Christian”
