yes!!! babe ruth…hank aaron…mickey mantle…and the rest of the old ball players didn’t “juice up” and they hit hundreds of homeruns…..Bonds gives baseball and bad name….
no i don’t think so
His cheated in baseball. So the answer is YES.
Yes.
Yup!
We talked about him in DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Eduction) in school.
yeah
Top 20!
idk…the evidence appears soo, but I’m gonna say no
RYC: LOL not referring to you–although I wish it was ”stranger” that was visting my site so frequently because I wouldn’t be so pissed off
Dan!! You deleted my answer!! not cool man not cool. Haha j/k peace and love bro!
If he has or still is usung the steriods, then YES!
yes
YES he should be banned from the record books.
Scumbags! Come on, Dan!
Let me be the first to day no. And I do think it’s sad how people hate on him so. By the way, Babe Ruth actually DID use performance enhancement substances. Many players in the early days of baseball did and it wasn’t considered a bad thing. In the early years, baseball players were not tested for steroids the way they are now. I do not know if Bonds uses, but if he did he has a lot company: Jose Canseco, Mark Maguire, Jason Giambi, Ken Caminiti… where is the hatred for those guys?
what happened to my comment?
from what ive heard, yes
proboly
Innocent until PROVEN guilty. And I don’t mean in the media. I mean by either the Baseball commissioner’s office, or the judicial system.
Who?
maybe.
Many think so, but has it been proven? I haven’t seen the evidence so I have to say I don’t know. In America, at least before The Da Vinci Code and xanga comment boxes, we don’t decide what is or isn’t true by uninformed voting.
No idea
Yes. It would surprise me if many of the current sluggers are not taking steroids as well.
yes.
Probably.
wasnt he the guy who was on Steroids?! if so then yea…
!~nicole~!
Who is Barry Bonds?
Who??
I think he’s been faithful to his wife as far as I know.
Larry
yes
but who isn’t in prefessional sports?
Yes.
If he was using steriods, then Yes – the rules are clear about the use of performance enhancing drugs.
without a doubt.
Absolutely, and I don’t believe he has the right to join the ranks of Babe Ruth.
good question, I don’t know the answer.
Yes…well, innocent until proven guilty.
Who is Barry Bonds?
ditto to squeakysoul, performance supplements are not a new thing in the world of baseball. the other “greats” used forms of them also. don’t go hating on bonds just because he isn’t on your team.
yes
yes
Cheater in what way?
i dont put it past n e one
I’m not sure the judicial protections of “innocent until proven guilty” apply to media stars or bums whichever the case may be as far as whether they should have an asterisk in the annals or not. It certainly doesn’t appear to apply according to most reporters. I myself like Barry. Yeah, he has a chip on his shoulder, especially for the media because of the way they hound him, trying to question him into a corner. His father, Bobby was one of my favorite players, and his love for his father is for some of the same reasons that I love and remember mine. As bad as Barry’s image is, people who met the Babe don’t put him ahead of Barry (so said my Dad who met the Babe). And, as far as Barry’s performance goes, he grew up in the major leagues with Willie Mays as his Godfather. That might have influenced his ability to get around quickly on inside pitches at least as much as whatever the rumors say he was exposed to. I suffer too much from a love of the game to be swayed by news stories. Now, salaries, on the other hand…
yes he is a cheater and so are Mark Maguire, Jason Giambi.
They bring SHAME to the great american pastime
no Hall of Fame for you!!!
for ETERNITY!
Yep, he’s a big, fat cheater who should be stripped of everything.
baseball???
anyhoo i agree with RvL1978
innocent until proven guilty.
steroids bby.
Who’s Barry Bond?
RYC: I have the same notion you do. When a person invites…they pay. I always invite my friends to go out to eat so I always pay. I don’t need them to toss a $10 bill on the table when their meal cost atleast $30. I guess that’s why me and her don’t hang out like we used too.
Ew. Yes. Why even ask?
How can you prove it guilty? I would like to know that… but I stand ignorant of the issue.
At his age, he is well past when his athletic performance should have peaked.
I don’t know much about baseball, but I’m going to have to say yes.
And in any case, it’s all about basketball and the SPURS! Too bad they lost this year, oh well. There’s always next year!
I think he is guilty of being a moody sullen sour puss!
If taking roids cheating…yes
Very definitely
Yupp!
yes
If not, he’s the only player …er person… I have ever heard of whose muscles inflated like a blimp at 35 years old that was not involved with muscle enhancers. So I guess if he is not a cheater he is a hero for pushing yourself beyond the limits of others. Since we never hear that story, it seems unlikely.
were the first players to use cleats cheaters? were pitchers who threw spit-balls cheaters?
I don’t believer bonds is cheating because he found a way to improve his personal game. I also know that if I took steriods, I still wouldn’t be able to make it into the majors.
I think sports should be played with natural skill, not with players who took the easy way out and took steriods. I think he took them, and I think it’s a shame that the we as society want to win so bad that we resort to artificial means and technology to earn victory.
Yes.
Yes.
Who cares?
I think so! I never liked him
I think so! I never liked him anyways!
who’s he?
The ‘roids have helped him, that’s not a question. But even with them, they do not help hand-eye coordination, which his always has been incomparable. And this is coming from someone who isn’t necessarily a Bonds fan. The man has always had incredibly fast hands, and an eye for the strike zone like no other.
hell yeah he is. anyone who says he’s not is just kidding themselves… and are also likely the ones who steal paperclips from the office.
in my opinion, yes. steroids = cheating. and to squeakysoul, i don’t know about the others, but as a rabid yankees fan, i can say (and i know i speak for much of new york) that i was extremely disappointed in jason giambi. he was one of my favorite players before the steroids.
The earth MIGHT rotate on its axis today. Barry Bonds cheats.
I’m surer of the second sentence than I am the first. Does that answer your question?
What’s a Barry Bonds?
L,r
He’s admitted he used them unknowingly, but that still makes him a cheater in my opinion, even if it was before the rules of baseball were changed.
*
yes … but so is anyone in baseball who is on the juice
I think he’s innocent. Just because his case is over blown cuz he’s going to break the record. What isnt ther as much hype/speculation concerned with other players who use these steroids?
I believed he had taken steroids in the past, whether it was for one month or one year… but i believe right now he is clean and legit.
sorry but im just joining in so i dont have a clue what your talking about
Maybe…
I don’t think so; it would seem that home runs require more skill than strength.
No i dont think so
No i dont think so
> Don’t know….. Were any of the the charges of steroid use proven beyond the format of ‘biased’ , sensation seeking media? or a confession on his part? If not, it is quite an accomplishment. Had to happen some time. Looks like we’ll have to wait ’til he confesses…..
Peace
No. You can’t be a cheater if the rule wasn’t put into effect when you did do the crime. And even then players now are much better then they were back in Babe Ruth’s time. The rules were different in each person’s respective time of baseball.
