Plus-Size Models
In the last post, there was a little discussion on whether these women were plus-size models.
Do you consider these women plus-size models?

ummm nope, first
Not really, no.
definately not!
no
not really.
Anybody who isn’t an anorexiac in the model world is “plus size”.
Goddamn fat asses.
No, they look pretty skinny, just not anorexic.
not fat, but definitely bigger than most models!
the pictures don’t come in.
Hello no. Not even fath, Atheist. Not even close. They look healthy and fit and right on!
being a plus size is not intended to mean that you’re overweight but your body size is a little more curvier than some. so yes.
NO , and how Sexy they are !!!
they are plus-sized models. they are probably wearing plus-sized clothes. it doesn’t make them fat… it makes them larger than a size 14.
well, by definition they are… but that’s unfortunate
Yes – I think they are plus size models…. They would have to wear plus size clothing. This doesn’t mean that they are fat – just large. (and I don’t mean that in a bad way – we come in different sizes…. )
I think they are both attractive – much more so than a woman with her ribs showing…..
yep. they got some extra meat.
i think we’re now saying that it’s “ok” to be overweight. Well…it’s NOT OK! People need to stop stuffing their fat faces with tons of crap food and get healthy.
look..these are models… most “fat” chicks who wear stuff look like crap. seriously!
no
considering they aren’t stick thin, then yes.
that is so sad the media has cookie cutter images of
models.
They are plus cuz they have big busts.
yes. these women have curves! hell yea. they arn’t sticks so defiantly.
i’m so sick of everyone think it’s ok for fat chicks to walk around in belly tops and tight jeans. IT’S GROSS!!!!!!! So… to all the overweight girls… GO BUY CLOTHES THAT FIT YOU! and please don’t display your lard ass all over the street. Sheeeit..I don’t want to see skinny girl’s belly or arse crack either.
NO, they’re a normal size!
No! These are not plus-sized women.
I think they’re pretty….at least number 2 is…number 1 has a bit much makeup. Notice…they hide “plus” size with a table and ungodly amounts of layers.
When I was in modeling school, I was told that sizes 6 and up were plus size models! Size 6 is plus size????? It’s crazy.
absolutely not!!!
I think they look “Healthy” unlike most models. But as far as media is concerned, they are plus size because they are not a size 0/2 like today’s top paid models. How unfortunate.
But Evowookiee is right, they are covered up quite a bit.
They’re perfect!
To all the people that think that these girls are “fat asses” and “large” need to consider that a long time ago these kinds of women were considered beautiful. Who want to be as skinny as Lindsay Lohan, or Nicole Richie, honestly people wake up! The real woman does have curves, not a woman who looks like her head was plopped onto a 13 year old boys body! Jerks……
By normal model standards, yes, they are but by normal people standards they look pretty darn good. And in some stores, plus-sized is considered a size 10. That’s CRAZY.
They look normal and healthy to me. I suppose everyone has a different opinion as to what is plus sized. I think you can be different sizes, large or small, and can be healthy and unhealthy. Just like a size 2 can be healthy, you can also have the ones that aren’t natural and diet down to that size and make themselves sick to be that size… You can also have a person a size 12 that is perfectly healthy whereas someone way too short eats themself silly and is overweight at that size. It all depends.
But those women I would not consider plus sized, fat, or anything of that nature.
*Jac*
Think about it. In today’s scoiety Marilyn Monroe would be considered “fat” and a “plus size” model. Cleopatra was said to be quite a large woman, but that was considered powerful and sexy at that time! Generations have different opinions of what is desireable, What is sexy. This latest generation has taken skinny to the extreme! I’m scared to see what will come next.
They look to be size 16, that’s not fat in my book. Marilyn Monroe wore a size 14, for cripe’s sake!!
They look…Normal-sized.
(I’ve got to start spell checking before I submit)
Yes, I do consider them plus-size models because that is what they are compared to the regular 105 lb. stick figure models. Do I consider them plus-size WOMEN? No. They’re average. As long as they’re healthy, who cares..
“Marilyn Monroe was NOT a modern day size 14. She may have worn a 14 back then, but in today’s sizes that is probably a 6 or an 8. American women are much fatter than they used to be and the sizes have been changed to flatter their vanity. She was shaped like the proverbial hourglass. A woman with a waist as small as her’s is going to have her pants fall off if she put on a modern size 14.”
They look like normal size women. I don’t think they have a lot of layers on. It’s just that compared to the half naked skinny models, they appear to be “layered up”. It’s sad really. If you have curves you’re considered fat.
Yes – they seem bigger than an average model so I think by definition, that’s plus-size.
Yes – they seem bigger than an average model so I think by definition, that’s plus-size.
No. If they are, I’m pretty damn overweight.
Probably by modeling industry standards they’re “plus.” They mostly look ordinary to me.
No.
And even if they were, who cares?
plus is the chest area definitely. you can’t tell if someone is fat without a good look at the ass though.
From these photos they look more like voluptuous models.
They just have big boobs.
I think they’re full-figured, but not necessarily “plus-size.”
In the traditional sense, yes. They are plus size models. That doesn’t mean they aren’t stunningly beautiful (which they are).
blehh.. those people aren’t obese…
A “plus size” usually implies a “bigger” person,, in other words someone fat or obese.
I don’t get this… People who are obese shouldn’t expect “special” treatment!
it’s their fault in the first place! you don’t get naturally obese people.. it is naturally impossible!
it’s like beating on anorexic people.. don’t beat on anorexic people unless you are ready to beat on obese people!
they’re basically the same!
They look pretty normal to me… not too big and not too small.
Haha. No way.
Yes
they would be considered ‘plus-size’. Plus size in the modelling industry isn’t Size 14+ like most people consider a plus size (Plus Size stores usually sell sizes 14 and up). I think a size six or eight is considered plus size for models. In fact, I think Tyra Banks quit because she was getting up into the Plus Sizes and she didn’t want to have the weight pressures anymore.
“Marilyn Monroe was NOT a modern day size 14. She may have worn a 14 back then, but in today’s sizes that is probably a 6 or an 8. Um..I’m a size 6/8 and Marilyn was MUCH bigger than I am. Marilyn was not a modern day size 6/8
Hell no, curves are sexy…they look healthy.
Those are normal women. They are gorgeous! It’s better when you’re not counting ribs.
-Guru on the Hill
They dont look fat to me. But I would rather not see all that cleavage. Women who reveal too much kind of make me want to vomit. Big and Small.
I stand corrected: An average of Marilyn’s measurements:

My appologies tragicbeauty_x
In the context of modeling, they are probably considered fat cows.
But in the real world, I think they are not plus sized at all. They represent what many women actually look like.
A woman is more beautiful when she actually has some shape that suggests she is a women, instead of being a piece of skin pulled tight over some bones.
If I wanted to hug a skeleton I would’ve started dating “Dr. Bones” from eighth grade science class.
I think Guru on the Hill nailed this one on the head.
maybe the first one, but not the second one
Like my hubby says…you’ve gotta have something to hold on to!
Yes, they look plus sized to me, but I don’t think that they are unattractive. I would much rather see girls that have a little curve to them, than walking coat hangers.
i would call them plus size, but that doesn’t mean that they are not attractive.
A plus-sized woman wears a 14+… a plus-size model wears something like an 8 or 10. So, yeah, they’re plus-sized models, but probably not plus-sized women!
No. They are only a little bit bigger than I am. I don’t know though. Instead of telling people they’re too fat or too thin, why don’t we just tell them to be healthy. And if your health weight turns out to be a size two and mine turns out to be a ten, it’s all okay because we are both healthy, which is way more important.
I don’t consider them plus sized. Certainly not in an age of increasing obesity among the general population. I think they look quite healthy.
Unfortunately the modeling industry seems to think a size 0 is the norm and anything bigger is ‘plus’ sized.
No……I should have taken a pic of one chick at the casino last night, she was seriously like 500 pounds and had some SERIOUS junk in the trunk…..it was more like a garage sale in the trunk.
In the modeling world, they are definitely plus size. Models are anorexic, they have to be. Those models above aren’t fat at all, though.
i feel like if i say “yes” i’m going to get attacked, but yes. i do.
All women are beautiful.
Yes, I think they are. And I’m very glad that they can be overweight and still beautiful. <3 The way most people talk you’d think it wasn’t possible.
the first one yes, the second one no.
but neither is particuarly heavy in my opinion. they’re pretty stacked, though.
(did you know Tyra Banks is called a Plus-size model for Victoria’s secret because she wears a D?)
yep, I think they are plus size models. curvy and a bit larger than the minus – sized models…
*hugs*
not at all…but in the fashion world anything over a size 6 is considered “plus size” (sheesh, i must be a whale since i’m a size 11/12)
In my mind when I like of attractive women, they look like them. Curvy, healthy, sexy. They are not plus size.
Yes, they have someeee curvessss.
I think they’re average weight.
It’s hard to tell, they have a bunch of layers on.
Not at all- Being someone who’s always been told they have curves, I would be considered at “plus size” model because I don’t look like a skeleton. I love the excuses for having super skinny models, and I’ve heard it often: “the clothes hang correctly.” Hang?…Aren’t clothes supposed to sorta…fit? We’re not flag poles…
yes, they are deffinetly bigger than alot of modles. dont get mad at me for saying that, im plus size too, but they are not youre avarage stick thin little things. they are much more beautiful, and guys, you dont have t wrry about breaking them.
Swt
Yes, not that there is anything wrong with that, plus size people can be just as pretty.
Indeed they are!
xoxoxox
Yes, compare to Asian women … hehe
those who decide they are plus are the same peoplewho think Nicole Richie could lose a few pounds…
I think these women are beautiful, I’d love to be as pretty as they are!
HOWEVER… I do find frustration in the backlash against “skinny/anorexic” individuals. It seems that because this is viewed as unhealthy & unattractive, being “plus size” is all the rage. Anyone can berade a emaciated girl… but don’t you dare make fun of the overweight one! Being overweight is as unhealthy as being underweight. Let us not forget that carrying around exess body weight can be as damaging to one’s heart as bulimia. It seems that “plus size” “overweight” & “plump” have become the better of two evils.
If showing underweight models drive us to eating disorders and discontentment… do plus size models make us complacent and too content in our unhealthy state?
How about showing fit, healthy models with APPROPRIATE body mass indexes… neither overweight or underweight?
& how about striving for the same by focusing on our health over appearance?
they look like normal size women to me.
yes and it all has to do with the broadness of shoulders, size of breasts and proportions of waist…don’t ask me how I know this…except I know some models plus and “normal”
Those women are hot in real life–especially that second one, yowsers! And I’m a real man. But it seems “obesity” by the standards of Hollywood and the modelling industry (both of which exist outside the real world) is screwy. A size 2 woman is a pencil in real life, but in Hollywood she’s made fun of for being too fat.
I agree with my_daily_diatribe. I couldn’t have said it better myself.
“If showing underweight models drive us to eating disorders and discontentment… do plus size models make us complacent and too content in our unhealthy state?”
nah…just normal. Realism.
And besides… as any girl knows, women’s sizing is a bunch of crap. BMI or body fat percentages are probably the clearest gauges of size
I am 5’9″, 150lbs…Some stores-I wear a size 4. Some stores I need a size 8 or even a 10!
So to say that these girls are plus size because they wear XYZ size seems a tough call.
yes
Well, let’s see–they appear to have both breasts and hips, so…yes. I guess that qualifies as “plus-size” these days.
heck no. they are normal
I think plus size is a sad word. I’m one to two sizes away from being a plus size, but people don’t believe me.
They are definetly BIG girls (I’d NEVER want to weight THAT much) so I guess they are “plus size”, but are they FAT? Not really. There are a lot BIGGER women walking around.
are you kidding me? NO. they are smaller than the average american woman, which is a size 12 by the way. those girls are size 4 at most– not plus size at all. it’s demoralizing to those beautiful plus size women to call those models plus size. they may be in the industry, but they are not in the rest of the world.
The first one not so much, but the second one is a ‘bigger’ girl. you can see both sides of her hips. That sounds kinda mean, considering I’m overweight. To be honest, I wouldn’t buy what the second girls is wearing. I think that shirt looks unflattering. The first one, yes. I like that outfit much.
nope, those are normal girls…make me a model and then you can call me a plus size model
It’s really hard to tell because these women have done a lot to cover up. Tricks of photography are greatly deceptive.
Um..not really…
Thanks Dan,Have a good Monday…
…
Well in the fashion industry a woman who is a size 12 or 13 is considered plus-sized. But also if they were bigger they are toned with their body… which makes these pictures unrealistic.
I just consider these women HOT. Those bony human skeleton heroin addict looking stick figure bimboid models can go choke on a horse’s unit for all I care. But these buxom babes can dance for me anytime!
if those are plus size, then i’m a cow.
i’m a thin girl, but i’d kill to look like that
Plus size models, yes. Not necessairly plus size women.
Not really. They appear average, but I can’t tell the difference between a doctored photo and one that isn’t.
No
maybe.
they’re attracctive and in good porportion, but they are plus size.
not really.
I’d hit either one of them.
yes I’d say they’re plus-sized models in comparison to “traditional” models, but they’re close to average sized people in reality
you can easily see their clavical… no, i dont think they’re plus size. well, im sure they are, but they shouldne be. they look great. healthy….
I’m not sure they should be called “plus-size”…….that usually means like 16-18 and over, doesn’t it?! They look to be about a 12-14…..maybe more like an average woman with a big bust.
yeah…. for a model they’re plus-sized, and for average… i guess they’re a little bigger but not big
compared to ‘models’ yes.
But plus sizes when it comes to clothes…these women would have to be huge
Forget labels….those women are gorgeous!
definitely NOT
plus-sized boobs yeah.
I think they’re average sized models. They’re just a bit larger than I am, but the photography makes them seem smaller than they actually are, probably as a means to tell plus sized women that “you too can look this fabulous in our clothing”. It’s all marketing and good photography.
Plus-size models, yeah. Plus-size women? No. They just look average.
The modelling industry isn’t the same as real life!
No, these two look healthy to me. Why do they label “plus size” models? I think if they have to label them, then the thin ones should be called………..”emaciated size”models.
Hard to tell, everything’s in the way of actually seeing them
Compared to the standards of today’s models though, yeah
definitely “plus size” models
No, they’re normal. That’s really upsetting.
Yeah.
if you count the whole phrase “plus size models” then yes, they are on the larger end of models.
The model in the top picture is a plus sized model. The one in the bottom picture appears smaller, but I guess by definition she is, though probably weighs less than the average American woman…
nah
In my opinion, no they are NOT plus size models. However, the modeling industry considers any model a size 14 and above here in America as a plus size model, yet the average size for a high fashion model is a size 0-4!!! That’s why you see many models size 5 and above working as plus size models because the norm in the high fashion industry is size 0-4. It’s an impossible situation!!! Especially for REAL women who have curves and are F.A.T. (Fabulous And Thick).
no
i don’t think they are plus size but in today’s socitey everyone thinks that if you aren’t anerxic then u must be plus size

I’m 5’0″ and weigh 265 pounds so what I am about to say does NOT come from an skinny person’s perspective but rather from someone who is F.A.T. (Fabulous And Thick). I agree 100% with the comment I quoted above! I am so sick and tired of seeing lovely F.A.T. Ladies dressing as though they are skinny! To F.A.T. Ladies everywhere, there are just some thing us F.A.T. Ladies just can NOT wear for heaven’s sake! Sometimes we don’t need to be wearing those lowrider jeans and having a muffintop and making our asses looked all nasty and squished like sardines in a denim can! And sometimes those babydoll T-shirts are just not flattering unless you have Pamela Anderson’s breast trying to win a wet t-shirt contest! Yes, those babydoll T-shirts show off our blessed chests but they also show off every roll we have in the front, side, and back! We have curves and we should be working with those curves not against them! We should be dressing in such a way to bring out the beauty that’s already there! I learned a long time ago that there are just some things I can’t wear without looking hideous and utterly foolish because I don’t have the right body type for it. I just wish other Lovely F.A.T. Ladies would come to this realization as well. And for you skinny ladies, you showing your ass crack and your thongs is not really appealing to most people, except to the select few who may like anal sex and want to get a look at your ass crack or the weirdos who like to sniff women’s used underwear… but for ther most part, people do not think it’s sexy.
nope
BTW: In the United States the national average for women 5’4” and 152 lbs. Also 67% of women in the United States are a size 12 and over.
nope
They look like normal-sized women to me. “Plus-sized”, while technically meaning over size 6, if I’m not mistaken, makes them sound fat. Which they do not appear to be so much. Why not call them regular models, overweight ones plus sized (or whatever) and the current standard models “petite” or some such?
No, they look normal. Plus-size to me would mean someone like…. eh, I dunno.
Or we could just throw out all the labels all together, eh?
its ridiculous what people consider plus-size models today. In the modeling world, a size twelve is considered a plus size. HA! as-if. I personally don’t see whats so great about being a stick. If your healthy and you wear clothes that fit you and accentuate whats good about your body, then anybody can look great. but does hollywood listen? nooo….
p.s. YAY CURVES!
Well, by model standards, of course they are. By real people standards, not so much. Most models certainly don’t have such abundant cleavage.
They look healthy. I would consider them to be picture perfect plus size…no where near where fat chicks think plus size is. These girls look nice…not sloppy.
kind of. i didn’t even know sizes went all the way up to 16.
Nope, they’re normal.
yes, unfortunately.”Normal-size” is “plus-size” in the modeling world.
not even close
yes
Yep. You can see the extra weight in the first one’s face. They don’t look too shabby, but why does there have to be two extremes? Why can’t you have regular people instead of either wicked skinny, or ‘plus sized.’
I don’t fall into either of those categories, so who am I supposed to look at when I shop??? I’m 5’3″ 118lbs. I think models should be a healthy weight for whatever their height is… not skinny, not big.
no way.
I know that it’s not healthy to glamorize excessive thinness, and plus sized models get a lot of public support for looking more like the general population of women, and of course they are very beautiful. However it’s not necessary to slam on thin women in doing so. Some of us happen to be skinny, some of us happen not to be. No need for hateration. We should celebrate diversity in sizes instead of calling some women “pencils” or “sticks” or other women “gross” or “fat. Both are equally repugnant forms of referring to human females.
hell no!!!!
No way! Curvy and sexy…yes!
Unfortunately, they’re ‘plus size’.
At least, according to the modeling industry.
I’m a size 8 and I’d also be considered plus size in the industry.
Those women are normal, and sadly it’s considered ‘fat’ to be normal now.
Shame.
nah…big boobs doesnt = plus size
not really.
but it is a step up from “stick thin”
they’re medium
aw theyre so pretty!
The first woman could de deceptively photographed, but I doubt she is really, “plus sized.”
The second woman is perfect. Whatever you want to call her is a good thing. You can’t bring that beauty down.
They have full bodies and curves. They arent large, just not rail thin.
Sadly a lot of people think any model over a size 10-12 is a plus size and by that standard these girl would be considered “plus size”. I feel plus size is anything 16 and over and even then it depends on a persons body style!
HELL NO! a size fourteen is not PLUS SIZE! the average american size is 14…are you saying that the majority of the women in the US are plus size?
Look normal to me, but in the modeling industry they would be plus size. Their tits are huge.
Especially for REAL women who have curves and are F.A.T. (Fabulous And Thick).
Posted 10/16/2006 at 2:04 PM by LadyValkyrie37
Oh, that is such BULLSHIT. A real woman has a vagina. I don’t need to be of a certain weight in order to be a “real” woman. People who spout of shit like that are no better than the anorexic girls who say you can’t be a “real woman” unless you are a size 000. Same side of the coin.
I’m skinny as shit (5’6, 100ish lbs), and I’m as much a REAL WOMAN as anyone. Fuckers.
yeah, definitely
Yeah, for a model, but they’re good sizes.
plus size? what, plus 1?
they are probably size 8-10. so most definitely no. and look how sexy they look!
I tend to call that disgusting.
no their healthy
No, I think that they’re pretty damn normal looking.
yea, they are over size 8
Uhm…yeah but I’ve seen bigger. They’re really pretty.
Visit Torrid.com
ehh between plus and normal.
The have Plus sized boobies and I like ‘em for that.
obviously they are
if you wear plus size clothing
and are a model
you are a plus size model
just because some people are obese… doesnt mean those women arent plus size
yess
first one yeah
second one just looks like someones hot mother
nahh. Just well-endowed… by surgery or naturally.
No.
And they look beautiful.
So much more than those stick models we see everyday in ads.
nope, bigger women just have to try a little harder to look decent.
I’d consider anyone from size 12+ to be plus size. (Not a slam toward any bigger girls, I’m on average a size 16.) You have to be plus size to be a plus size model.
hardly
No. I call them biguns.
It’s hard to tell in the first picture because of the clothes, and the second one gives the optical illusion with the pose she is is, but no, I don’t think they are.
[ariana]
well, they’re probably wearing plus size clothes, so yes.
yes…they ARE plus sized arent they? they really look it!!
No. But in the fashion world, they are. Designers want walking hangers. While I can understand that as they are displaying art on the runway, in consumable advertising–like magazines and televsion–it can be an unhealthy image for young women. Kudos to Dove and the Milan fashion week coordinators for realizing that curvy and normal are not the same as truly “plus-size.”
they’re curvy…beautiful.
THey’ve got a little junk in their trunks, yeah.
inbetween thin and big.
Most certainly not.
Number one is a little … eh (in terms of facial attractiveness, not weight), but the second one … she’s REALLY pretty.
noooo…haha plus sized
No way!
0_0 Those ladies are considered”plus” sized? Lol. I’m surprised nothing was said here last week about this poor woman0_0:
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&ncid=1756&e=1&u=/061007/481/aa0efca57a6d467ba96638bdc99bb32c
Of course!
Well, realistically, no. But in the modeling business, yes. I would kill to look like the women in those pictures, lol.
-KrIsTiN-
is that a fat joke??
Check their BMI, but yeah. they probably are.
They look hot…and healthy…..unlike those sickening girls who have bones sticking out every which way and look like skeletor….now THAT is not attractive at all.

LMAO! You know why you are so “bitter” bittersunday? Because you’re hungry. Try eating instead of throwing up. LMAO! Hmmm… Fuckers… Hmmm… One who Fucks… INDEED… I am one who Fucks… on a regular basis if I can. Why? Don’t you? Maybe that’s another reason you are so “bitter” bittersunday… maybe you need to get laid? Anyway, I never meant to say that skinny women were not real women. All I meant was that real women naturally have curves and it seems that the fashion industry wants to strip women of all curves and make them walking skeletons. So, don’t get your panties in a wad sweetheart. Personally I think for your heght and weight you are underweight but it doesn’t mean you are not a real woman. But I am curious as to what you think about transgendered individuals who go all the way with having the gender reassignment surgery since you believe a vagina makes you ultimately a female. But I guess that’s for another discussion. LOL
I can’t get past the weird coat-hanging-off-the-right-shoulder look to even decide what type of models I think these women are. Am I supposed to want to buy this coat? Do people in some part of the world actually walk around with their coats like that? I’m so confused…
BTW bittersunday, a woman who is 5’6″ who has a small frame they should weigh 136-142 pounds… a medium frame they should weigh 139-151 pounds… a large frame they should weigh 146-164 pounds. To find out what type of frame you have…

Extend your arm in front of your body bending your elbow at a ninety degree angle to your body so that your forearm is parallel to your body.

Keep your fingers straight and turn the inside of your wrist towards your body.

Place your thumb and index finger on the two prominent bones on either side of your elbow, then measure the distance between the bones with a tape measure or calipers.

Compare to the chart below. The chart lists elbow measurements for a medium frame – if your elbow measurement for that particular height is less than the number of inches listed, you are a small frame – if your elbow measurement for that particular height is more than the number of inches listed, your are a large frame.
Their bones are big, but there’s no real fat.
they are gorgeous…

plus size? no, I think of plus sized as 20+. I look at woman in like 16s and think they still look good. My cousin wears a 16 and is about 5’6 1/2 and I think that looks nice. But in the reality we live in anything over like a 5 is fat and plus size I think. My step daughter was in a 7 and doing pageants and they told her that she needed to lose like 15 pounds, but she didn’t look any bigger than the other girls… its rediculous! Then again, I am fat and I want to be like a 12… I think I would be very happy in a 12. Wow went a little off subject there, sorry
they’re pretty normal sized actually

they look really healthy too ^_^
yes because, plus-size is a term applied to the size clothes you wear. They are most likey tall so they don’t appear to be or plus size but I bet they wear atleast a size 14 pants… thats plus-size. Yes they appear thin, and yes they are more attractive than the emaciated models that walk the runway but Technically they are plus-size if they wear atleast a size14 in clothing.
the top one maybe
It’s only because their bones are a little wider and their boobs bigger that they’re considered plus-size models. The modeling industry is filled with lies! And I see a girl’s comment up there saying that plus-size models are above a fourteen–there are size tens that are considered plus size.
Just because we can’t see their bones doesn’t make them Plus Size. Though that’s probably what models believe…
I think these two look normal!
yeah… Plus size breast that is.
I think it is a good idea to use “plus sizes” on the larger-sized models, as so many women, are currently at least a little plunp. It is a good idea, for sure. They look just great!
Well they’re big to me cuz I’m little. I don’t think they’re plus-size models; the other models are like coat hangers/skeletons!
according to the model industry, anything that’s above a size 2 is plus sized.
you’re bmi is meassured according to your elbow bone & height? i never knew that. must google it.
Not really. “Plus-sized model” is actually another way to say FAT. These women aren’t fat. I wouldn’t want them to get much bigger, or they’d start to look overweight.
These women are far more beautiful than the usual waif’s I see on runways.
definately, have you SEEN the other models?? They’re like thin air compared to these models, however I’m not saying that they’re fat. They have more cuves and bigger boobs than most models, they’re definately plus sizes.
No.
In the world of modeling, someone who is plus-sized is an 8-10; that’s not even close to what plus-sized is considered to be in real life. If we’re not going by the modeling industry’s standards, hell no, those are not plus-sized people.
No.
Yes, they look kinda pludgy, like they’re pregnant.
ya they are totally plus sized!***
yes!
well they are bigger. but not quite what i would call fat. they probably wear sizes over 10, and as a skinny girl i would like that to be considered plus, because i want all clothes catered to me, so that it is easier for me to find clothes…
Their boobs are but nothing else really
Omg! thats not plus size at all! Maybe one day the fashion industry will realize that people are supposed to eat more than a breath mint a day! And then experts wonder why there are so many cases of depression today! Ugh. stuff like this makes me mad. Those types of models called “plus size” should be seen alot more often. It makes the entire country look healthier.
LOL

Wow. Calling me bitter. I have never heard that one before. Seriously, that was cute and clever maybe the first 40 times I heard it.
I get laid plenty of times thanks.
Don’t need help with that any time soon. And I don’t throw up to stay thin either. I’m naturally this skinny. I know I’m underweight, and I’m happy being underweight. Some people are happy being bigger, and some people like myself are happy being smaller.
Maybe you shouldn’t be getting your panties all up in a twist either.
> Yes, as has been stated, it means full figured, not necessarily over-weight….
Peace with a purpose

No. They are normal size.
I once had a friend who was tall, skinny, around a size 10 or so. She was offered to be a “plus size” model. So I guess that gives you a good idea of what that means. Tyra banks is a size 8 and she is considered “big” for a model. It’s just wrong.
No, that’s what real women look like.
Those models look great and my answer is YES!
they’ve got big shoulders.
they qualify.
They look great and healthy if you ask me. Just not skinny and erm… disgusting. Just full figured. And I’ve seen bigger plus size models on the runway. [i.e. steven tyler's daughter, Mia.]
…they’re my weight…
yes
Plus sized? – yes
Overweight?- absolutely not!
Attractive?- yes
women com in different sizes and shapes i don’t think the label is important.

They are two of the most beautiful models I have ever seen! What the modeling world calls attractive is ugly. It is nothing more than a scam to sell diet plans. They are healty and in shape to hell with fashion and the rag trade.
