BAD F-ing taste.
Funny
Bad taste, just as everything South Park does is. And that’s why we love it.
Bad taste. South Park is stupid
~*RoXy*~
Bad Taste
when is satire ever appropriate?
i love southpark <3
That is horrible. Come on, the guy died barely two months ago. Our culture has lost all sense of propriety.
steve irwin is beloved by many, so it’s a risky move. i would have to see the show and see if it was funny or not…
Thats South Park for you. They aren’t scared to do anything.. and they don’t hold back. That’s just how they are. They’ll make fun of everyone so at least they don’t discriminate. It may not be tasteful but.. in some ways they are geniuses. Thats why I love it so much ha
I find it rather humorous….
(But I can see how folks would think it is in bad taste… It is a bit soon after his passing.)
Bad taste.
Love Southpark, and satire is not known for it’s good taste.
Which makes it so bloody funny..
Bad taste. South Park isn’t even that funny. It’s just gross most of the time. And this episode sounds extremely rude.
Maybe it would be funny later…
but I don’t think it was appropriate for them to do that now.
I think it’s bad taste, but it goes along with most south park episodes… doesn’t mean some of them aren’t funny.
I understand that it’s South Park, and they are generally always in bad taste, but come ON. I’m sure that if his wife or kids found out about it, they would be disgusted to see Steve portrayed with the stingray, the blood, the whole bit and at Satan’s party to top it off. What are they thinking???
A little of both…Either way it was funny. Yay!
bad taste
What’s there to make a satire of Irwin? Would he just go to devils and go “aw, crikey!”?
It’s not bad taste, per se, but the joke is weak.
Pretty fuckin’ funny
Ewwww, Very Bad taste !
South Park is known for it’s crude stuff and doesn’t usually offend me, but in this case it’s bad taste.
Thats crossing the line. Very bad taste.
bad taste and sad
Great entertainment!
C’mon! That is such bad taste! Even a year later that would be bad taste. I don’t see why someone would want to make fun. Don’t they think of his wife’s feelings, or even later his children’s to know that the show is out there somewhere?! I think you can be funny, but you don’t have to be cruel to get your laughs.
I think it was somewhat appropriate because of the way they presented it. Satan had said “Dude, it’s too soon for that, go change your costume,” but it was actually Steve Irwin. At least they showed some sympathy within their humor.
Bad Taste, but then again, lets look at how people watch it, whether they say like it or not they most likely A.)Find it humorous and watch the show reguarly or B.)Do not find it humorous, but watch it anyways and rant about it senselessly.
But it is also a guilty pleasure for some people, I can hardly believe that no one has ever made a joke of someone who had done nothing to be blamed for.
im not offended but it might be a little too early still to joke about that cuz so many people took it seriously and since people have to have SOMETHING to bitch about…
Awful, they tend to cross the line often to me, I think it’s wrong…just like the episode about the teacher that had sex with the student - sick
Hi-larity.
Bad taste. Really bad taste
how about “just plain funny!” I mean the guy was a thrill-seeker. Dying is part of the contract in situations like that. Geez people lighten up…
thats terrible
bad taste! of course, South Park usually has bad taste in everything it does.
South Park has used ‘bad taste’ like this for years. It’s their gimmick and really the only thing that they have going for them.
I love South Park, but in this case, I don’t know whether this is in bad taste (I would actually have to watch the episode), but I do think it is too soon.
Most of the time I don’t like South Park – that sort of humour doesn’t appeal to me; neither does the language.
but that made me (I’m sorry that it happened to me), laugh out loud.
a stingray! it’s so cute!! and just makes it hilarious.
ryc: True. I think it is good in some ways… I’m just dreading the rush that’s expected to come along with it. hah. It’s really great though to see the reactions of some people when they have no insurance or even some of those with insurance when you tell them it’s only $4. The relief on their faces is priceless because it really is heartbreaking when you have to tell someone how much something is knowing they don’t have that much money or even taking their money… ugh, that’s something I hate.
this is what south park is known for. they did an episode about the whole terri schiavo thing the week after. if it wasnt south park id probably find it to be bad taste
Twisted, but typical of Southpark. If you don’t like it, you’re free not to watch it. Who cares?
EK! BAD TASTE!
its great!
am i the only one who thinks he should NOT have been out in the woods in the middle of nowhere doing who knows what to animals all in the name of science??? you dont pick up a dangerous animal and go “i wonder what makes it tick?”
i mean how would youy like it if a god or giant came to earth and took off your roof and picked you up and started holding to to show you to some other massive being?? or they picked you up to see how you re-act and what you do. all in the name of so-called science.
its fate he was killed by animal. he always said he would never die by animals but instead would die in a car crash; because cars are the real danger; WRONG. was this fracking retard on crack, dsl, pcp, cocain or what???
people say he was educational. however i never wanted to ever learn about the sex patterns of a posionous snake or snider or whatever else can kill you. he was always saying “this can kill you.” DUH listen to what you just fracking said you idiot.
in my opinion this guy was a fracking idiot. You play with fire; you will get burned. thats all there is to it.
am i the only person who thinks what this guy was doing was wrong and maybe death will teach his soul not to go fracking with things you should not be messing with. maybe he learned that in the afterlife?? maybe???
ps – sorry for the ranting and very very bad spelling.
honestly, I don’t think any of South Park’s satire is appropriate.
That’s pretty bad… and that’s coming from someone who didn’t even like him…
yeah, that’s definitely bad taste…
Eh…I won’t watch it…
RYC: Thanks for the birthday wishes, Dan!
It’s a fucking hilarious episode.
Bad Taste………..
BAD taste..Inappropriate… and insensitive.
bad taste.. but then, so is most of South Park
Bad taste of course – but that’s South Park’s specialty. Wonder what Steve Irwin would have thought of it tho, he always liked publicity.
Very poor taste. This is someone’s husband who died…someone who was loved very much…and they’re making it into some sort of joke. They should be appalled by themselves.
Bad form, he’s death was way to recent.
funny hahaha
um…i have never really been epressed so no i have never had explained depression!!!!!!!!!!!buh bye
~chelsey~
that soon after the event – bad taste. Should definitely have waited 20 years.
bad taste
a little of both, I think.
south park is halarious
xX-Nicole-Xx
south park is always in bad taste!
Well…South Park isn’t usually known for it’s “appropriate satire..”
..but still, this is a bit much so soon…
Bad taste. But, you know, it was bound to happen; I don’t know why anyone would be surprised about it. It’s South Park. We’ve come to expect these things from that type of show.
As satire goes, appropriate.
I mean, they at least have him dead, and not coming back to life as a zombie or something.
Appropriate.
no 2 people could look at it the same way so it could be really funny or really sickening. just depends on the script and how you percieve it.
Bad taste. The man has barely been dead for two months. Is there no respect for the man’s family?
if he’s drinking a foster’s that’s bad taste
because it’s shitty beer
haha, i love puns
Bad taste. Especially so soon.
this isn’t worse than princess diana being in hell and gene siskel, and stuff.
i saw parts of that episode… missed that part though… im sure it was funny… i mean… steve irwin is freakin awesome… but its a show… if i died and they put me on south park… id be excited… i mean cmon… hes on south park…
Inappropriate. But my taste nonetheless.
Heads up, it’s time for that Mr. & Mrs. Xanga thing.
just because it offends you doesn’t mean it’s in bad taste.
and just because it doesn’t offend you doesn’t mean it’s in bad taste.
the shit they said about scientology and all this other stuff was offensive too.
I like South Park for it’s satire, however, I think it is too soon to mess around with Steve Irwin.
I reckon it’s a great idea!! C;mon, Steve Irwin was aussie through and through, and we take the piss out of ourselves all the time. It ain’t a bad idea, when you think about it.
’nuff said….
I like a lot of what is on South Park. I think they’re funny. I think they go out of their way to make people mad sometimes, including Christians like me. But that’s part of their act, sometimes for better, sometimes for worse. In this case I’d probably lean towards the latter. Pete.
You really kind of quoted it out of context. In the episode, Satan is holding a costume party, and he goes up to Steve Irwin, thinking someone is dressed as Steve Irwin, saying that it’s too soon to be making a joke about that. Then he sees that it’s actually Steve, who he promptly throws out for not having a costume. Irony.
Matt Stone and Trey Parker do their best to offend everyone in anyway that they can. That’s why people watch it.
bad taste – but that’s south park for you
Ha! Ha! Funny. I am laughing more at how people are reacting to it though.
lol, its south park. of course its bad taste. everything they do is bad taste!
Steve Erwin already showed up on that show, no one gave a shit then, why is it distasteful now? All you have to do, is realize it’s all entertainment for someone. If you don’t like the show, don’t watch it, if you want your kids watching it, block that channel.
~:|:~
Very bad taste….but probably funny….
Candy
In all the interviews I’ve read with Trey Parker and Matt Stone, they’ve always described their goals as “loosening people up.”
As a world society (and especially as Americans) we take things way to seriously. We place a stigma on anything that could possibly be construed as “offensive.” In some cases, yes, it is necessary to censor what we say in order to keep society flowing smoothly, but as far as South Park is concerned, it’s a comedy. The goal of the show is to make people laugh at things they normally wouldn’t laugh at.
Satire ranks with emulation as the highest form of satire. Steve Irwin is dead. We miss him, but he’s dead.
Many cultures don’t actually mourn their dead. Rather they party to cermonialize someone’s passing. This seems sensible. Sure, the death itself is unpleasant, but the point is to remember the life the person lead. Nobody needs to remember that they’re dead. Everybody knows that.
Bad taste…but oh well. everyone laughs when kenny dies; everyone laughs at scientology, they crucified Cartman on a cross, they have a show called Jesus and Pals…heyck they make fun of everything…why should the death of an icon be any different?
And Attercop, that wasn’t a pun.
funny as hell
Ugh. I’m pretty sure that the point of that show is to push the envelope. . .you know, shock value and all.
its funny that its so offensive?
i would be PISSED if i was his wife/kid.
what does it matter. south park has always been the show to throw something disrespectful in peoples faces and thats why they’ve become so popular. we are just waiting for whats next. so i dont mind it. im not offended by it.
i think its pretty funny…
rather sickining id say…
South Park is pretty much rank.
VERY VERY VERY VERY BAD!
that hat he’s wearing is wrong tho. it should be on Crocodile Dundee.
I saw that episode…they are pretty quick to be up with the current events (like the one about Terry Schiavo), but I admit it’s a little sensitive sometimes when they do that… But the thing about South Park is they don’t discriminate against anyone…they are equally offensive to whatever walk of life or belief or race, etc. that you’re a part of…
did I miss it?
south park = bad taste
JFK Jr. is in hell. I don’t here any of you whining about that and that was a far bigger controversy.
very very bad taste.
It’s kinda stupid, but ITS SOUTH PARK. You cannot watch south park if things offend you. The whole thing is one giant offense if you think the Steve Irwin thing was inappropriate. They had princess Diana on there as well…people are STILL upset when she is referenced. Will it ever be ”appropriate” or “just funny” for them to make fun of certain people? NO. I don’t think it has to do with time so much as how effected people are by said person’s death.
After reading many of these comments, I don’t think most of you watch South Park or read any interviews with Trey and Matt. Then again, judgement without knowledge is trendy and fun!
thats nice but i dont really like southpark!!sorry!!!wellz buh by!!!
~chelsey~
Nothing is sacred to South Park. Though the untimely death of Steve Irwin is unfortunate, nothing like humor to get through it.
yeah. thats definitely crossing the line between funny and just…not funny.
You should have seen the one where they railed Scientology
bad taste…
poor family.
Terrible taste.
It’s too soon for something like that.
That’s just waaaay out of line.
Very bad taste. Glad I don’t watch. Not funny at all if you have to make jokes with dead people.
it’s south park so everything is in bad taste… but it is soooo funny anyways!
I think some people are inspired. Finally they have an idea as what to go as, to the Halloween Party of course. So glad that’s not a big thing here in the precious R of SA!
I find the whole show to be in bad taste, why should using a dead Steve Irwin be any different?
Um…South Park??awww..i don’t know…
Hope you are having a good Friday and have a good weekend too Dan…
The way they did it was really funny. You have to see it in context.
I think it is too soon after his death to do a cartoon on him. Way too soon. I LOVE South Park because they pick on everyone equally, but this is a little much this soon.
I like South Park.. but I think that the Steve Irwin gag is beyond bad taste. What kind of people would find that funny? Not I. Steve Irwin was a father… a husband… and a hero to many. I find just the idea of that South Park episode offensive and beyond bad judgment and poor taste. What happend to that man is not a joke… nor should it be made into one.
bad taste
extremely bad taste
It’s not satire. Satirical humor requires wit, which implies intelligence. South Park is moronic, sophomoric, crap.
I saw that episode last night! I usually get a kick out of South Park’s satire, but I definitely think they crossed the line with the pun on Steve Irwin. That’s really sad, considering that his death was so recent and it’s still on a lot of people’s minds. BAD TASTE, for sure!
Most likely bad taste, but I’d have to see the episode to know.
Lol, South Park is hilarious, in the episode Satan even says “Its to soon for that costume man”. Its hilarious!
bad taste
Very, very bad taste. But since when is South Park not bad taste?
It might be appropriate to point out this is no slur on Steve’s morality. In South Park, only Mormons go to Heaven. They aren’t saying anything bad about Steve. If anything, it is a compliment to be included by them.
Boo.
as much as I adore that show, I think in this case it’s bad taste
Question is where Satan is now right? If our father in Heaven changed his mind and decided (opps, free will being what it is maybe Satan changed his mind) to have the reunion of times instead of the hate filled separation of times as the end of the Bible portrayed, then Satan is in Heaven and it is no big deal, right?
Wouldn’t that be a double kick in the pants!!!!
I personally think it’s pretty sick and in very bad taste.
dude….
it’s south park…
they hold the market on doing everything too soon, to crude, and in very bad taste. it’s a niche that is always inevitably filled, so I guess I’d rather see it filled by a group of people who don’t take anything they say seriously and are in this for the humor.
Wow, definatly bad taste.
I’m sure Steve’s family appriciates that one.
bad taste
-Ko
how sick. what stupid bastards they are. that is just too much.
Ha!
It’s funny though…. Why is THIS in bad taste when their countless bashings of world religions, wars, disabled people, etc. is still ‘Funny’? Is it just too soon? Should they have waited two more weeks or a month before it became appropriate to laugh at?
Meh.
In any case, I know one person who definitely doesn’t have a problem with it—-Steve Irwin. He’s dead, remember?
Evan.
At least wait a year for it to be less of a bad taste, good gravy.
yeah it is in bad taste not good at all but that is South Park for ya
That was the one part of the episode I found in bad taste.
South Park is generally funny, but occasionally. Actually frequently, they go over the line.
bad taste
bad taste.
the world is now completely lacking wit. it now will feed soley on cheap stunts and piggish humor. how sad.
Southpark has it’s better moments, but this is not one of them. Very bad taste. They’re just shocking for the sake of shocking at that point, and it’s a sellout.
his death is much to recent to start making jokes about it.
too*
Yeah, satire may often be inappropriate, but that’s just too much. I’ve never quite enjoyed South Park’s brand of satire. Bad taste.
Personally, I’ve always found South Park to be distasteful. There is nothing satirical about it. It’s just inane and mindless. I know three year olds that could write a better dialogue. But instead of saying SH#$, they’d be saying poopie over and over. But then, today’s youth are rebelious, lethargic, and loud-mouthed about both. I am irritated to no end.
Bad taste, but so is that whole show. It’s not out of character for South Park.
wow, bad fucking taste
Disgusting!
its bad taste to say that steve irwin went to hell but just think of how many dead people there are who are made funn of on tv. this isnt that much different.
Satire, but bad taste because it’s too soon. At least wait until Irwin’s a skeleton before you laugh at his death.
if it was next year then it would be in appropriate….but this year is way too soon, definitely bad taste.
However, I think that it would be bad taste both years…I wonder why our opinions change over time…like you never tell a bad story of someone at their funeral, but you have no problem saying it later. Time doesn’t change the situation, it just passes by.
South Park, anything goes, even if it is in bad taste. It’s a little too soon, I think, to find this episode funny…
how can something possibly be tasteless on South Park? they make fun of EVERYBODY!! if you get offended by it, then you seriously have issues.
i don’t think people should give their opinion unless they actually WATCH the episode. the Steve Irwin part was funny.
never seen the show, but totally bad taste. I saw a mini video cartoon of a sting ray chasing steve, I started crying.
Bad taste. But it’s South Park. Everything they do is in bad taste (and it still makes me laugh! :X)
wow. thats pretty bad taste but people will tune in just because they are curious.
click
skip to around 5:30. it’s not bad at all.
ah…. its south park, but even for them i think that was a bit too far….. had they waited another few months after the shock kind of passed then it wouldnt be so bad, but this was too soon, even for south park……….
Bad taste…how about some sympathy for his wife and kids who just lost someone?
Eh, I think they are doing it a little too soon….but either way they will eventually make a show about it. They make fun of everything.
Saw the episode…REALLY bad taste, but expected from South Park. Their whole point is to offend…EVERYONE.
bad taste
i dont watch the show thats how they always are
I think that’s rude.
But hey, it South Park
*it’s
bad taste. it’s completely disrespectful.
Yeah, but when every day joes die, its pretty funny.
gay
bad fucking taste
thats just dumb
bad taste.the south park creators do it to everyone, lets sue them.im not kidding.seriously,,we should sue.
well ok i saw the episode right now on youtube. it didn’t seem that bad, but still no one would like it if they mocked the death of some. they need to be considerate especially to his wife and kids who are still trying to cope with his death.
What else is Southpark known for but bad taste?
ryc: Thanks Dan =) I didnt think you would be old enough to know what that show was. I know you dont remember Lidsville or H.R. Puffnstuff, right? *lol*
South park usually doesnt bug me but thats crossing the line.
bad taste
That show can be summed in two words: Bad Taste.
Cheap amusement.
I guess it depends on your standpoint(as most of the issues you address here do).
If I died, I’d at least want someone to get a laugh out of it, right? I’d hate for the world to be all touchy over it. ): What does Steve Irwin think?
It’s kind of both, I guess.
I’ve seen that episode. I didn’t think it was bad taste at all, it was pretty funny.
I think the fact that Steve was a very liked person makes it seem tacky. I wonder what Steve would think, he did not seem to be overly sensitive, as long as animals were not being harmed.
That episode was fucking hilarious! Steve Irwin wasn’t even a main character in it, anyways. They only showed him once or twice. And I hate how people make a big deal out of stuff like that. If you think the episode is inappropriate, don’t watch it, it’s that simple.
-KrIsTiN-
It’s meant to be ironic. Bad taste, yes, if it wasn’t South Park.
Bad taste. It was such a short time ago, we’ve barely had enough time to honor his memory. Wait a few years for this one.
Terrible taste, for one thing he just died so it’s exceptionally offensive to use his image (not that it isn’t for any dead person), but it also implies he went to hell. Disgusting.
Psh, it’s appropriate! They’ve made fun of way worse.
Terrible taste, for one thing he just died so it’s exceptionally offensive to use his image (not that it isn’t for any dead person), but it also implies he went to hell. Disgusting.
Posted 10/27/2006 at 4:44 PM by emmyelle
they aren’t really implying that he went to hell. in the South Park movie, millions of people are in hell. only like 1000 went to heaven. they even have Gandhi in hell haha.
Bad taste..normally I can stand southpark…but thats just too much
aww.
most stuff that south park does makes me laugh, though. :]
It’s always bad taste.
very..bad taste. -_-”
depends on the jokes they make.
its south park, you can’t get mad at them, its south park
they make fun of everything
There’s a degree of inappropriate that is completely appropriate for a show like South Park. I remember watching the last new series and I remember it not being funny, just mean. But I’d like to see this in context before making an educated opinion.
Satire. Either everything’s okay to poke fun at, or nothing is.
Very bad taste!
bad taste, if i had to guess.
Doesn’t surprise me that it’s bad taste.
Bad timing.
bad taste.
kill the person who came up with that idea
bad taste, but then, it’s”southpark”
BAD TASTE.
but it’s that kind of bad taste that makes you go =O and try not to laugh >_> <_<
Or, you know, maybe my sense of humor is still just too immature…
But, for the most part, I would probably just say…too soon. Wayy too soon.
sick puppies.
As much as I love Steve Irwin, it’s a satire in bad taste.
I saw that episode. The satire works; however, I can see someone having qualms about it because the death is so recent.
Poor/bad/insensitive/pathetic/disgusting taste
It’s not funny. At all.
He hasn’t even been dead long.
beyond bad taste
awful
bad taste.
Bad
Really bad taste. But South Park’s no stranger to that.
Bad. Bad. Bad.
Its just funny. People need to get over this whole taboo of joking about things “too soon”. Come on, at my great grandfathers funeral people were making jokes about him. Its better to laugh it off than to keep stiff about the stiff.
Besides, I’ve always thought the best way to honor someone’s memory is to make a terrible joke about them, then say “…Oh, but seriously folks”
That is some really bad taste. I have seen the show a few times and I thought it was hilarious but I think this is crossing the line.
bad
bad taste
bad taste. its a little soon, dontcha think?
I love South Park but yeah…that’s just going to far…even for them. I woudn’t want to censor them. I just be sure to miss that show.
I love Steve Irwin but c’mon its funny !!!
I am just wondering how Steve would have felt about it.
bad taste. I was just reading about Steve Irwin. It’s to tragic to be comical
Steph(y)
bad taste.
i don’t think the sting ray should be attached to him.
Okay, so. The reason South Park is never in bad taste is because it never picks on one thing specifically. Instead, it just finds absolutely everything in the world that could possibly be made fun of, and it offends everyone, therefore bringing everyone together and AMUSING THEM.
It’s genius.
i would have to say that is in bad taste because just five minutes ago my sister’s boy friend announced he wanted to go to a halloween party as steve erwin…and i screamed out my indignation instantly.
Very bad taste.
South Park does this shit to try to provoke a response. They go all out to insult all religions no holds barred (except Christianity of course). All in all their like children not doing what their told. Bad taste
Another instance of South Park going a wee bit too far. That’s not satire, that’s distasteful humor.
bad taste
That makes me sad. :’(
watch the episode before you judge it, i know its a crude show, but i don’t think this is a big deal unless you make it one.
South Park is nothing if not tasteless.
terrible taste
South Park ALWAYS has bad taste. That’s its trademark. It wouldn’t be funny if it was in good taste.
Very bad taste.
B-A-D sowii. an its kinda not cool. he jsut kinda passed away ay kno?
I don’t think his wife and daughter would find it in very good taste.
South park creators and supporters shall be punished……
That is awful!!!
Both
South Park does this shit to try to provoke a response. They go all out to insult all religions no holds barred (except Christianity of course). All in all their like children not doing what their told. Bad taste
Posted 10/27/2006 at 10:11 PM by TheSinnersCafe
Then why does Jesus have a cable access show and box with Satan in one episode?
South Park is going to do whatever they want to fucking do. Doesn’t matter how many think it’s bad taste or not. South Park has tackled just about everything they can. As long as the masses will watch and the ratings are high, they will continue to do what they do best… sattire in good taste and in bad taste.
very bad taste
South Park is amazing, and they do what they want. If everything can’t be made fun of, then nothing can.
They didn’t really do much to offend him, except for the stingray thing.
Yes.
I don’t think it’s appropriate, considering he hasn’t been gone very long….
But when did South Park ever care about that?
Definitely bad taste.
Definitly Bad Taste, Steve was an Awesome guy!
That’s not funny. That’s just stupid.
I love South Park – In their Intro – they say “if we failed to offend anyone ………………” that’s what they do – Princess Di is on there too – nobody’s protesting that – Don’t watch it if it offends you I say – TV’s got channel changer and an OFF BUTTON.
South Park is, in its entirety, in extremely bad taste.
bad taste. and its kind of mean to put dead steve on there….
Very bad, and this is why I don’t watch that show.
Hilarious satire.
absolutely 100% crossing the line. vile
i do think this one is in bad taste… thats judgeing steve irwin.
but then again.. what else is south park known for? and they do it in what they call good fun, so i suppose it’s not meant to be so bad.
I didn`t see the episode, but it sounds like its in bad taste. to me.
Imagine his family seeing that.
Horrible. What is even worst that people actually think its funny. Disrespectful — it all boils down to ratings and the almighty $$$$$
That’s horrible, and it’s definatly bad taste!
I say it was not tasteful, but it was funny.
I saw the episode and there were a lot of people who could be offended by the “tastefulness” of having such people as Frank Sinatra mentioned, or Biggie Smalls (that was hilarious btw). I say don’t worry about it, if you don’t like south park anything they do will seem detestable, so don’t get all upset over it.
baaaad taste
Bad taste. That is why it is so popular.
[ariana]
Bad taste. That’s just horrible
bad taste but then again the show is not even funny- they have to do extreme things to gain viewers
I’ve always been one to laugh @ South Park but when I saw this episode it turned my stomach! I thought it was horrible!
It’s South Park and that’s what they do. If you don’t like it, don’t watch.
Appropriate…for them. thats what make this show so famous.
Very bad taste
I think it’s an idea…however seeing that his death was so recent, I think they probably should have waited on ususing him as humor. Funny? Maybe….but just not “yet.”
Disgusting…bad taste
South Park is always doing stuff like this, that’s why they have so much money. It would be funny though, but in a mean way.
Bad taste, but has South Park ever had good taste? I don’t think so. They are very smart however and know how to generate an audience.
That is very inappropriate and bad taste, knowing that he just died not too long ago. It’s crossing the line and I wouldn’t find it very funny. He was a good guy and didn’t do anything to people, so why should they ridicule him and make him the center of their bad comedy. It’s cruel and revolting.
Pretty damned funny, but a little too soon.
i hate that south park does those kinds of things…..its mean and disrespectful to people who have died…..i am really mad that this is happening!!
*horrifyed/saddened*
I think Steve Irwin might have thought it was funny, but I didn’t know him. I think it’s in poor taste, but that’s South Park.
It’s South Park, so it’s automatically bad taste. But, our culture thrives on things like that which make us laugh, which is the reason we love it.
i think its wrong there doing something like this
Considering it’s south park, it’s not like anyone’s expecting to witness any tact or classiness anyways.
It’s South Park.
Nothing on there is ever in good taste.
Effing hysterical, but never in good taste.
bad tatse… its too recent anyways…
wow.
just wow.
now i love south park, but that is bad taste.
even for south park that is bad taste.
ouch.
if you can’t make fun of the dead, then who can you make fun of? he’s not alive to be offended by it. yah yah i know it could possible offend his family, but if they’re still really sore over his death, they’re probably not all gathered around south park in the evenings. besides, i would consider it more of a tribute to him than poking fun. . .

When did south park ever do anything of good taste?
I don’t think anyone should take it too personally.
Very bad taste
I can honestly say that even though I think a lot of that show is crude and vulgar,
I’ve never thought it had truly crossed the line
That’s just awful
I have to see the show to determine.
I think it was much too soon for anything related to Steve Irwin to be appropriately joked about. His family is still fresh in mourning, as well as his friends and fans.
I do love to watch South Park, but I saw that episode and I just though “Wow, that’s just a little too much a little too soon.” South park or not, don’t fuck with Steve Irwin. It’s not really in bad taste, just kind of a low blow. I love South Park however.
BAD TASTE. Gosh. He wouldn’t even bleed like that. They have no sentiment.
No. Humor does not have to be ugly and tasteless. I don’t watch South Park; I didn’t watch Beavis and Butthead; I didn’t watch Ren and Stimpy. I love cartoons, but Rocky and Bullwinkle can hardly be classed as the same thing as South Park. Stupid, vicious, love-less, haterz all.
That’s just mean. When he died, there was only a stingray barb. That is just Ugh.
They pointed out that it was “bad taste” to be dressed up as Steve Irwin (b/c in the show orginally satan thought it was someones costume) so in a way they recognized it themselves.
terribly bad taste and lacking of respect for Irwin’s family, i suppose
It’s a CARTOON…
get over it people
