I was walking through the Katy Mills Mall tonight in Katy, Texas and one issue was just pressing on my mind. It was in reference to two key leaders in our world. Those two leaders are President George W. Bush and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
It wasn’t the issue that the U.S. will have spent more time in Iraq than it spent in World War II as of tomorrow (Link). It wasn’t the accusations that Putin was involved in the murder of ex-Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko (Link).
I think George W. Bush and Vladimir Putin as world leaders have more important issues facing them.

Should a man still leave his bottom button on his suit unbuttoned?

Yes,
and that was first!
who cares? are you drunk?
lmao, you rule.
i wouldn’t know.
sure…
uhh
i don’t think that really matters?
I don’t think it particularly matters all that much. Although it does make for a stupid picture.
just for the sake of answering, yes. go wild. rebel. don’t button that shit up.
Yes. He can.
Ohhh top ten!
Yes.
if they want
I don’t think it matters. I think it’s probably more comfortable with it unbuttoned though. I know I hate having the bottom button buttoned when I wear a button-up shirt.
You really need to expand in the humor department.
what?
doesn’t really matter
always gotta look good!!!
It you are hiding a gun then button it, otherwise just relax and leave it open.
wow, that’s a funny picture.
and yes!
Of course! And you were in Katy Mills? You should have said so, we could have gotten you all kinds of complimentary food!
Doesn’t matter. His choice.
Eh. Either or.
I don’t know. Does it mean something if your bottom button is unbuttoned?
Absolutely not. =O
Just kidding. I don’t care.
yes
lol, I bow to your wit and humor my friend!!
I’m sure glad there are no photographers waiting around to take silly pictures of me.
no its un classy
Hey I live there! Here?
hey, I was in katy mills too! I wonder if I saw you?
lmao hell yeah
bwahahahahahahaha-unbutton button when sitting down, standing up-button it for cripe’s sake!
Yes.
stfu yo.
On one of my shirts, the bottom button always comes undone because the hole is too big.
So yes, he should be able to keep it unbuttoned.
you know that is terribly important. No, you don’t have to. Thanks for letting me link you too, the issue matters…
RYC: Why does that not surprise me? j/k
GASP! FASHION BLASPHEMY!
I’d give [insert...uh...something...] to be able to dress them myself one of these days. Heck, i’d give [insert bigger something] to overhaul their wardrobes.
*evil grin*
You heading for Austin at any point?
Bush looks like he’s passing gas.
Putin looks like he’s smelling it.
But..seriously.
But let’s not forget that though the conflict was over in 1945, the occupation of Germany and Japan still continues.
Do they do that when they sit down? If so and they are then standing up for a picture…they should.
No. I think it looks crisper when it is buttoned.
Of course.
Millscorp. Suck.
Pittsburgh Mills Mall < PRETTY FOREST. X[
Also, George W. looks a bit like a deer caught in the headlights in that photo. As for the suit? Eh.
This is a very important issue. the decision to leave one’s button open. if left open, it could give off the impression that the wearer is so un professional that he/she is uncapable of doing anything productive. on the other hand, if buttoned, the wearer runs the risk of seeming too up tight and gives the impression that “it’s my way or the highway mister”
this is why i avoid wearing suits all together.
and why i’m dying my hair blue for the wedding i have to be in in may.
You are like, 20 minutes tops away from me. That’s so weird.
Rachel
No shit
Should we throw shit in our water and drink it, no
should we leave the bottom buttoned un bottuned
yes.
idk…never thought of that. i think so.
Yes. otherwise when he sits down, the suit jacket gets all bunched up and awkward.
My sister used to live in Katy.
depends on the size of his gut.
How many buttons does your suit have to begin with?
Unless I know this, I cannot answer.
Unless you are going for a Pee-Wee Herman look (or you happen to have some weird-cut suit or weird-cut body), you leave the bottom button of a suit jacket unbuttoned. Kind of sad that more people don’t know this.
Oh my freaking goodness. I could’ve seen you at the mall!!
Doesn’t it look like he is sucking himself in that suit…Very Bad Tailor.
To stand next to a man that poisoned another one to shut him up is not the pic I want taken. Radioactive sushi….How original Russia..NOT.
Up to the guy
I think it looks classier if it IS buttoned,
but heck, if they’re actually wearing a suit to begin with, why nit-pick?
Yes.
who cares about how much time we spend in Iraq. Just as long as we get the job done…
Either button, or unbutton, but for heaven’s sake, quit playing with it.
Wow, are they button twins?
Actually you are supposed to. It leaves room for sitting.
I was recently in the Katy Mills Mall. Had no idea I was as close to your end of the xanga when I was on vacation!
i don’t think it matters
lol Bush looks like he’s constipated. xD
I’m laughing so much I can’t answer the question.
I don’t have a choice – if I buttoned my suit, the buttons would have to be registered as legal weapons. lol
WW2 was a real war, we put effort into that. Iraq. I don’t know what that is, but I thought the war ended awhile back when congress said it did. So what ever.
do you live in katy?
It depends on if you want to put your hands in your pockets. If you do that, then you’ll look like a dork if your bottom button is restricting your movement.
lol, yes. hehe, this made me smile.
No. They should buy it big enough to fit after eating a meal.
yeah.
yes
I don’t think it matters. Unless there’s some secret man code about it … ?
yup. The rule is, if you have three buttons, it goes, from top to bottom; sometimes, always, never.
I say definately not. It’s so tacky and unprofessional
You live in Katy? Sorry, you don’t know me; I just read your blog sometimes since it’s on featured and all.
Absolutely!
Oh, except for euro-cut suits made so that the bottom button be buttoned.
…ah yes, my son was in that very mall yesterday (seriously…he is a longs ways from Alaska) and said he thought he saw CS Lewis. That musta been you…you dont look a day over 35.
I dont know about the buttons but the red tie has to go. I thought it was part of the flag.
I guess not? Whatever the dress etiquet (spelling) is.
I leave that to the individuals discreation.
>….not if you’re still seated and depending if it’s double or single breasted…. too much to contemplate…. With these two who gives a hoot….
Peace
ARE THOSE 2 MEN?????
Oh yes. I found out that was so a gentleman could draw his sword.
They should start carrying swords.
I don’t think so, but I’ve been told so.
yes
Yes.
No, its uncivilized
hilarious!!
Word I got in professional dress seminars said: @ button jacket button both. 3 button jacket leave the bottom undone. but in either case, unbutton when you sit. Supposedly fashion is moving toward 2buttons only? Who knows, with the infrequency of men’s wardrobe changes, it may never go away!
uh.. yeah .
