Wouldn’t be somewhat necessary to be drunk if you’re going to be on The View??
not for danny, no
Nooo. I hope not. I love Danny Devito!
he still has a career?!?
I don’t think I could tell the difference if he were sober or drunk. So, no … in spite of the fact that I though he was already a has-been.
What career?
Damn. I missed it.
Devito will get a pass from a liberal media that likes him. If a conservative like Tom Selik had done it, there would be hell to pay.
Hmmm…I wonder if it will, what has he been doing lately anyways?!
it shouldn’t but it probably will.
I thought he was obnoxious….don’t know it will affect his career….I like him less now though….
Candy
Haha, it takes some serious balls to go on “The View” while trashed. By the way, it’s only 3pm here. When would you have to start drinking in order to be schnocked in time for an interview several hours ago? Also, will it affect his career? With heavy drinking like that, I think DeVito must already be aware he doesn’t have much of a career anymore.
i didnt know he still had a career lol
Uh… what career?
no, he’s too cool
oh wow yes it will
His career? I don’t know.. His morality and reputation? Yes.
yeah, danny devito is a has-been. this can also be tied in to the guy from seinfeld saying racist comments at a comedy club
meh who cares
Nah. He’s a comedian, right? People are funny drunk. . .
who watches it?
hahahaha!!!!!
Uh….what career? Does he even still have one?
dont know dont care
nah. it wasnt as bad as the media is making it out to be. it was quite comical.
no
Doubtful. He was the Penguin, for crying out loud.
Oh, probably not. He’s still a great actor. He just likes the happy sauce now and then.
As long as he didn’t say anything about the Jews, he should be fine.
I never watch the view and happened to see it on the other day. He was hilarious!!
no way!!! it was an act; hes an actor; he was doing it to promote his new movie “dunk on TV” or to promote his character who is a drunk on a show on FX called “its always Sunny.” He plays as a drunk in a few shows; he was more then likely told to do it.
The View? Hmm. I don’t blame him.
he has a career
He has a career? You mean pretending to be a fire hydrant is a career?
Only drunk? Nowadays? I doubt it, it would take something more serious than that.
Yesterday I heard on CSI the quoting of an old Hollywood movie industry piece of advice: “Never be caught in bed with a dead girl or a live boy.”
To quote Mr Punch: “That urr way to dooit! that urr way to dooit!”
i thought it was on november 29….
Hell no it was funny!!
nope. he had an excellent interview on NPR a yesterday.
i really cant tell you, not that i really care too much
probably for about… two months. Then everyone will forget about it.
WOw, I didn’t hear about this. It might effect his career.
doubt it
No, people are just gonna laugh and get on with their lives.
no his career is over
Haha, he makes me laugh.
I don’t know, probably. eh, I could care less, I hate the guy.
And by that “Haha, he makes me laugh” I mean the picture.
1. he doesnt really have much of a career anymore 2. if he did, this could only help it
who is he??
He is yesterdays news, drunk f’ing midget……….oh my that wasn’t nice, screw him and his silly antics!
it will be good for him. the view is stupid.
he should make a Twins 2 movie with arnold.
You never know what’ll mess up your career… sometimes it’s alcohol, sometimes murdering someone, but then again, these can boost it…
*shrugs* What do I know about careers?
He doesn’t have much of a career to speak of anymore, so I guess it’s not a big deal… His problem
Hardly.
maybe if it was 1983, but he is old…. i get him and the bald theif from home alone. They look alike.
lol, he’s too old to care if it destroys his career or not.
RYC: lol, thanks
no. he wasn’t even sloppy drunk or anything. he just slurred his words some and criticized Bush (and tons of people do that on tv).
Nope I doubt it, he’s Danny Devito after all. No one cares, people either forgot he existed or think he’s cool despite his sobriety (or lack thereof).
-Jared
no probly not
I saw it on tv and he didn’t strike me as really intoxicated at the time
It shouldn’t.
He has a career still?
Nah, not really. He is kind of a has-been, but I still think he’s very funny in spots. Also, I saw the interview, and it really was not that bad. And I’m easily offended because I think celebrities (at least those on television making political commentaries) should be intelligent and composed in interviews. He was sloshed, but no more obnoxious than he usually is.
it always affects a career when you show up drunk…weather to work or on tv.
Kelly
not a bit
… didn’t know he drank till I saw him sober …..
yes, in a good way
In Hollywood, there’s no such thing as bad press for a lot of people. His wife did the same thing several years back on Leno after the final “Cheers” taped. He’s established enough where he’ll be fine. I can’t stand “The View”, so hah! on them.
he still has a career?!? Posted 12/1/2006 at 3:10 PM by RaVnR
He does?
Oh, and I was going to say the main thing that’s going to hurt his career right now is that horrible looking movie he was on “The View” to promote in the first place.
I don’t suppose it will affect him. Yeah, it’s bad publicity, but it’s still publicity…
No, probably not. People might make a big deal out of it, though, so it might possibly effect his career.
-KrIsTiN-
no
Who the hell who matters wathces the view
what career?
i think that was a few days ago…
Danny DeVito has a career?
I doubt it will affect is career.
what career?
not likely. He’s a goofy guy anyway, and it’s not like he went out and drove drunk and/or hurt someone. It’s just one of those embarrassing moments. I do wonder, however, what the conversation with Rhea was like after the show, when he got home. LOL…
He basically has never bothered the public very much. As far as publicity about it, he has that. Dragging it out is another thing. I guess we are helping with that. Two weeks and it will be all forgotten. The next “scandal” will be in progress.
He’s…still got one?
WELL THERE GOES ANOTHER ONE INTO TREATMENT.
Bill O’Reilly and his two guests said it wouldn’t.
I kind of wish actors and actresses would act and keep their personal opinions to themselves. I have started boycotting the ones who give political messages, are vitriolic, and who annoy me with their rhetoric. Perhaps I am old fashioned, but I really prefer the values that were shared many years ago.
I agree with ThePresidentsCafe – If I had to sit for 15 minutes and talk to Rosie, Barbara Wa Wa and others – I don’t blame him.
who is danny devito?
sadly enough…probably not, at least not in the negative…
That’s Danny Devito? Yeah, I live under a rock and didn’t know what he looked like.
i read the article today aobut how geore clooney said it was his fault…
i don’t think it will really affect anything…
I don’t think so. I’ve always seen him as kind of a joke so this won’t make a difference.
he still *has* a career?!!?!! :O
honestly, who cares about danny de vito?
No. Why would/should it?
I HOPE IT DOES!
what career? LOL
Danny Devito has a career?
bah! I don’t care?
I don’t think it will.. for starters he has the Cows of Bashan backing him ( the women of The View) and for whatever reason, if they talk long enough and beat a subject to death enough, the liberals of TV land will listen and believe whatever is spewing from their faces. Also, he was, in a very idiotic manner, bashing the president, which seems to be the schtick of the day, again liberals will eat this up and his fan base will grow. Finally, he gets jobs in movies that should go straight to video and never see the big screen…. it can’t be that easy to screw that up… they need all the drunks, anorexics, and has beens they can get to fill the roles.
If he were black, yes.Being white,I doubt it.
ewwww….you could have picked a better picture (even if you had to go way back to the 80′s or something).
His career died a while ago. Since when has he made a movie that was actually any good?
If anything, it gets him noticed again.
He looks like he ate my cats, I better go look for them.
ugm, what career?
nope.
Psh definitely not.
He still has a career? But, no it won’t hurt him. We are talking about Hollywood, as long as he isn’t lighting puppies on fire he will be fine.
gosh, I haven’t heard anything about him in ages..

Yes it will. :/
definitely
no.
Not very much
heh. not like britney’s.
nah!
Wouldn’t be somewhat necessary to be drunk if you’re going to be on The View??
