  • Eh… Weird… But is it really that big of a deal?

  • *eyeroll* … maybe it was one of those things where you keep your hand on an elderly person to steady them even if they may not need it…   Still, that’s pretty funny.  How embarrassing for her, now, though… with that spread all over the news.

  • Hmm…That would be annoying.

  • Why is it that things like this go all over the news? Why does everyone make a big deal about THIS – what about things like actual issues and whatnot? People know more about who touched than they know about which bills Congress is passing!

  • ryc:  Well I was going for the definition “Effective in achieving specified results”, not so much in a sense of being fertile. :)

  • I think that was actually longer then 30 seconds (but I wasn’t counting…). Why is this important? I find it kind of sad that this woman didn’t have anything better to do then mooch up camera time with the president. What’s also sad, is that this is what this woman will probably be known for. Gah.

  • What a strange thing to write the news about…

  • Wow!   Laura will knock that ladys socks off.

  • Come on. who cares?

  • making a mountain out of a molehill…

  • well you know Condi does that too. Maybe that swagger has its appeal…

  • If I were him, I would feel a little creeped out, but maybe she just wanted some camera time.  I feel sorry for her.  I would be really embarressed.

  • I’d like someone to grab me for at least 30 seconds

  • Hah. Baaad taste. Poor woman.

  • Lol…oh my goodness…

  • Why does that woman look so huge?

  • She wants him

  • Hahahaha! I also can’t help but notice how damn short he looks around all those other people.

  • I wonder if it is some sort of a bet that she was taking part in. Either way, it is very weird.

  • This Congresswoman was just elected last year. She is one of the few “good” freshmen in Congress this year, and this was her first State of the Union address. It was a big thing for her and she was enthusiastic. Good for her!

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahgahahaha

    HAHAHAHAHA      HA…..

    HaHahhhhhaaaaaahahHahaHaHhaHaha…..

    ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh……………………… hahahahahahaha….etc.

    LMAO

    8eprops! too bad i can’t!

  • it’ll be funnier if a monica lewinsky-like trial comes out.

  • Is she that desperate?

  • This past year, I met Barb Bush, met the First Lady Laura Bush and Chaney’s wife. Also I had the priveledge of hearing the President speak, WISH I were able to meet him, but the thrill and excitement is overwhelming.

Mom and I were able to attend a Meet and Greet with Laura Bush and we’re nearly about to pee our pants out of excitement.

I’m sure that’s all there is to this new Congresswoman, she is overjoyed to be so close to the man who is President of the best country in the world.

  • Michelle Bachman is crazy. Simply put. I am proud to say I did not vote for her. And yeah, she’s pretty much fanatical about the POTUS. But meh, it’s not a huge deal.

  • haha… michelle bachmann is great. i think she was just trying to say one more thing but didn’t get a chance to. this probably won’t be the only thing she’ll be known for. she is one of the select few smart people that we minnesotans elected to go to congress.

  • hehehe. I saw that on the State of the Union last night and thought she was touching him for at least 30 seconds. We laughed about it for awhile. .

  • that person belonds in a mental institution.

  • WOW! I wonder how embarassing that is for her today.

  • Um……okay…..kinda wierd. You’d think she’d realize that she was on NATIONAL television, and that the whole world is gonna see her manhandling the President.

So very sad. And wierd. Really wierd.

  • Laura… it’s time to kick some ass!

  • I had a crush on a guy and he was really popular. He also gave autographs and kissed girls…

  • When I saw that last night, I laughed. It was great to see her face after she kissed the President. I thought the President handled it well by shifting his attention to the other side of the aisle.

  • lmao I’m surprised she didnt use her hankerchef to wipe his brow

    RYC….lol I knew there was a body behind the brain!! ; )

  • Silly drudge for evening linking it.

  • That’s strange. When I clicked the link I thought it was going to be just some random woman who posted a YouTube about how much she loves the President. I was definitely surprised that it was a Congresswoman.

  • I promise I wasn’t ignoring this (yeah, like you have time to look at your footprints anyway ) …. But I was waiting until I get home where I can watch the video

  • Well, that awful woman (Michele Bachmann) represents my state. Needless to say, I’m glad not to have to read about her hateful agenda every day in local papers anymore, but seeing her on the national stage is not pleasing.

My friends and I were laughing about that last night. She had her hands on Bush for a solid 30 seconds. Continuing to touch him (even when he wasn’t talking to her)like he was going to heal her.

For someone who spent her whole campaign talking about her “wonderful marriage”, she obviously has a bit of a thing for President Bush.

  • Thats a pretty strange.

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha…this is just funny. :)

  • i don’t see what’s wrong with it. looks like she wanted a better pose with the president for a photo op and didn’t want to let go until she gets it. well, she got what she wanted. good for her!

  • hahahahahahaha eeeewww the whole time my shoulders were just cringing, like just LET GO hahaha wow

  • A) He’s a married man …
    B) He looks like a monkey
    C) Why???

  • that’s funny.  she definitely stood out when he walked in to give his address.  her animated hand-shaking, huge grin, and loud speech was over-the-top.  i missed the autograph scene.  even her outfit… the white suit… was designed to stand out.  she definitely did some careful planning to get face time with the prez.

  • My friend from MN says that she thinks the president is very cute and she had a cardboard cut out of him in her dorm room. That being said, I’m a Minnesotan and I have no crush on the president.

  • It’s me isn’t it?

    :^D

  • looks like somebody ran out of interesting news stories for the day.

I would now like to instert a witty job about clinton and monica…….

  • Needy bitches.

  • fucking retarded.

  • I think it is great how she just embraced the moment with geniune joy!  Good for her!!!

  • It wasn’t a “real issue” in the news.  It was just one of their closing segments, like a squirrel on water skis.

Maybe she originally did it to get dibs on a hug.  After that, it was just a few more seconds.  Or, maybe not.

  • That is typical of those congressmen/women.  Pictures are being taken constantly not to mention the live and video cameras are rolling.  It is a big deal to have their picture taken with the president. It was obvious she was not looking at Bush but at cameras and smiling real big for those pictures to show she was with the president. Nothing new here.  No crush, just typical ”I am standing by the president and having my picture taken silliness”.

  • I’m sure he gets that attention alot. At least she is still excited about the process.

  • BAHAHAHA. That’s fantastic.

  • it takes all kinds, doesn’t it?

  • She just wanted camera time; did you see that smile?  “Look at me!!  I’m with the president!!  Aren’t I cool??  I’ll bet everyone who made fun of me in high school feels stupid now!”

  • who cares?

  • lol what she’s thinking : “I am SO not letting go until I get my hug/kiss”

  • I would have been excited if i had been invited.

  • dang….. its 23 degrees in your area? I think its around 50 here in Houston

  • Where’s the Secret Service when you need them?  I thought nobody was supposed to touch the President? or was it the Pope?

  • That would be Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), of Minnesota’s 6th Congressional District.

  • *shrugs* I can’t watch it

buuut, in ryc: I kind of thought you were. And kind of not. Sometimes it’s just hard to tell those kinds of things online..

  • Good grief! If I could put my hand on the shoulder of the most powerful man in the world for 30 seconds without secret service throwing me to the ground I would. Wouldn’t you? I’m sure she was just taking advantage of the opportunity. Or maybe she is crushing on him. . . power is attractive. Anyway, who cares.

  • She did it for publicity. Nothing more.

I don’t see the huge issue.

  • I don’t think that qualifies as crushing.

  • I think its funny. And stupid.

  • Maybe she’s a friend…?

  • My stomach already hurt before I read this post…but now I kind of think I’m going to hurl…

  • Ew, lol.

           -KrIsTiN-

  • OMG. She held on to him for 30 seconds! OMGOMGOMG.

Like, I have to call my friends and tell!

  • Psht. Who cares. She was just excited. Jeez.

  • Omgosh, WHO CARES?!?! So maybe she wanted his attention or was “star struck” or something. Big deal. It’s funny what people make into news these days.

  • Probably nervous as hell. I don’t see much in it.

  • looks like she still wanted his attention and if her hand hadn’t still been on his shoulder she would have never gotten it.  smart lady.

  • who is really that stupid?

  • Someone has a crush on that bird-looking tard?

Is this secret admirer a canary?

  • Haha. He’s so short.

  • hhh i wouldnt say crush…she’s just wanting attention.

  • i just have one thing 2 say…

    EWWWWWW!!!!

  • HAHAHA!

wow… that actually was somewhat lame.

    *rolls eyes*

    Ah well, politics.

  • That is very unprofessional. I mean, she kept her hand on his shoulder… even when he was walking out from under it… I think it’s out of line.

  • Geez…..evidently a slow news headliner day!  I smell a Democrat behind this story. lol!

  • That’s not a big deal.
    -David

  • *Sigh* She’s obsessed.

  • Several thought come to mind…

    Why is this news worthy??

How is this level of attention on her behavior affect Bachman over the next several days/weeks/months?

Perhaps she WAS trying to just spend a little more time with the president. I know I would be excited to spend some time (even 30 seconds) with someone in a high position like that. Heck, I’d settle for 30 seconds with Bachman.

Didn’t Monica start to pop up in several televison footage of Bill? Perhaps there IS something going on here.

Why is this news worthy? (Yes, I know I already said this, but it’s good enough to ask twice.

  • LOL poor soul.

  • no, she was just excited. yes unprofessional, no not out of line.

Agreed. Well said. This is making a big deal out of absolutely nothing — is news really that slow, that they have to make a big deal out of making fun of some minor thing?

  • us crazy Minnesotans. never know what we’re gonna do next!! I might just go milk a cow…
