His detractors need to quit listening to the absurd crap they have making up and get in touch with what the president’s job really is. His job is not to do what the idiots who make up most of the population want to be done, his job is to do what needs to be done for the betterment of this country. Bush is the rare politician who actually understands that and is strong enough to do what needs to be done. Looking back at history many of the presidents that we now consider to be among the greatest were unpopular at the time because they were looking towards the future, those presidents include Lincoln, Truman, and George Washington. I believe that history will prove Bush to be correct in taking the humanitarian action that had been needed since before the first Gulf war. Bush has made some mistakes in his presidency but most of what are commonly called mistakes are not mistakes at all rather premature judgments and differences of opinion.

i think this is a slanted quiz. there are usually five degrees…very-very-anti-bush, very-anti-bush, anti-bush, pro-bush, and very-pro-bush. there isn’t really an in-between “eh” type answer for most of them. i ended up with 9/10. i see myself a bit closer to 5-6 of 10.

I admit that I don’t know Bush very well. Who knows, maybe he’s really a pleasant person to be around. All I know is that he’s a Republican, and Republicans don’t agree with things that I do agree with. Therefore, they must all be bad. Hmm, I got higher than I thought I would. Probably because I went with the more favorable response in most situations when I couldn’t find a middle ground answer.
Bush is far from ideal for me. My biggest issue with him is probably spending, but I’d feel that way about a lot of politicians.

Respect is earned. In my opinion, becoming president doesnt grant you that. The good you do in that position does. Bush has done absolutely no good, he’s barely told the truth! So, I don’t feel I’m being unpatriotic with my perfect 0 (and I promise I didn’t miss the one), I just feel that the things he has done were horrible. I liked him in the beginning (when i was young and dumb), so it honestly is the things he’s done that makes me not like him, or even respect him. He doesn’t deserve it.

Some of those choices were kind of…exaggerated. I don’t want him dead, I just don’t want him to be president. I’m not really leaning toward electing him again, but I don’t loathe him with every fiber of my being.

Yeah, I got a 9 out of 10. I think people don’t give Bush enough credit. It’s not easy being the leader of a country. Most people blame him for things he doesn’t even have control over. People don’t know what they’re talking about.

And it was pretty accurate, down to supporting him originally and then rethinking it since he refuses to listen to any opinion about Iraq that’s not “Let’s send more troops and stay longer!” My brother, a U.S. Marine, literally left the United States today for Iraq. I am not completely against war–I believe in “just wars.” But I do not think Iraq is a just war and if my brother dies there I will consider it a shameful waste of human life, not a necessary and honorable sacrifice for a noble cause.
