Myspace is threatening to shut a site down if the mother continues to place pictures of herself breastfeeding her child. Melissa Rocks has said the network keeps removing images on her myspace of her nursing her child. She has reported that myspace has told her that the images are “too sexual.” Here is the link: Link

I was just reading an article about how Bill Gates and his wife limit the amount of time their daughter can spend playing games on the computer.
She is given 45 minutes of “screen time” a day during the week and one hour a day on the weekends. She is allowed additional time for homework. Here is the link: Link

One issue that is debated in Christian circles is the grounds for which a person can get divorced. Here is a passage on the words of Jesus from Matthew 19:
And some Pharisees came to Him, tempting Him, and saying, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause at all?”
And He answered and said , “Have you not read, that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, And said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 Consequently they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”
They say unto him, “Why then did Moses command to give her a certificate and divorce her?”
He said to them, “Because of the hardness of your heart, Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but from the beginning it has not been this way. And I say to you, Whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another woman, commits adultery.”
I want to focus on this last phrase which gets a lot of attention: “Whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another woman, commits adultery.”
If a person gets a divorce for a reason other than adultery, is it sin?
I was talking to someone the other day and she mentioned that Britney Spears will lose her children.
I hadn’t given it a lot of thought. But she mentioned with all the things that Britney was doing, she couldn’t believe that she still had the children. Then tonight, I saw an article about whether Britney was fit to be a mother.
Of course, there is the alternative.

The state I live in has had an ongoing issue with an American Indian mascot for the University of Illinois.
There are those who thought having an Indian mascot was “racist and and insulting.” The mascot just performed at his last even tonight a the men’s basketball game. The NCAA banned the school from hosting postseason athletic events because of the mascot. An agreement was reached so that the university could begin hosting postseason events by getting rid of the mascot. Here is the link: Link
