How would you feel if you found out that the person living in this house was paying less property tax than you?  The house is worth almost $3.65 million.  The reason it isn’t taxed is because a pastor lives in it and the church bought it.  It is a parsonage.  The church doesn’t pay taxes.  Here is the link:  Link

The Washington State Legislature is considering a bill that would make it a crime to “operate a motor vehicle while reading, writing or sending electronic messages. 

A few serious accidents have taken place because people were text messaging while driving.  The issue has come up in relationship to people talking on there cell phones while driving.  But text messaging appears to be even more dangerous.

Most states that are looking into the issue are considering serious fines for the offense.  Oregon is considering a bill that would fine drivers up to $720 for driving while texting or holding a cell phone up to an ear.  Here is the link:  Link

Should it be illegal to DWT?

I was just reading an article about how long the wait can be at certain restaurants.

The article mentioned that some restaurants could make a person wait 85 minutes to be seated.  Then the person has to wait to order and then wait for the food to be delivered. Here is the link:  Link

I went to a restaurant recently where someone who was waiting told me they had waited for 2 1/2 hours.

How long of a wait would it take to make you walk back outside the door?

I found an interesting link of how a person can put a youtube video on their xanga site.  It was posted on techcrunch.com.  According to them, all you have to do is go to youtube and pick out your favorite video.  Copy the addy.  Then past the addy into the box on this site:  Link  Then hit “get video.” 

Then in about two seconds, you will hear a noise.  Then scroll down the right scroll bar and hit “download link.”  Then a little pop up will ask you what you want to do next.  You will want to hit “save.”  This saves it to your computer.  You will want to save it to your video and remember where you saved it too.  For example, I would save it to the “my video” section on my computer.

After I hit save, it will ask you what the file name should be.  You will want to give it a name.  For example, say it is a video about my dog “poopster.”  I will save it as “poopster.flv”  You should add the .flv at the end because it is called a file extention.  It allows you to upload it later.  So no matter what you call the video when you are saving it, make sure you add “.flv” to the end.  For example, if the video is about your cat “tomcat,” you should save it as “tomcat.flv”

The next step is to go to your site.  You should hit “Upload video.”  Then you hit the browse button.  This is where it is important to know where you saved it.  You pull up the video.  And you save the upload it.  Give it a few minutes to upload and you are done.

The Supreme Court will be hearing a case about a young man who was suspended when he and some friends held up a sign “Bong Hits 4 Jesus.”

Joseph Frederick and his friends held up a huge banner in front of television cameras as the Olympic flame passed by in January 24, 2002.  The principal, Deborah Morse, had allowed the students to leave class to see the Olympic flame pass by.  When she saw the students holding up the sign, she destroyed the banner.  She suspended Joseph Frederick for 10 days.

The student is saying he was exercising his free speech.  He is arguing that his free speech is guaranteed under the first amendment.  The principal is saying that “school officials need to be able to impose discipline.”  Their concern is that they will lose the ability to stop negative messages that support drug use.

Some religious groups have actually sided with the student.  They are concerned that students will lose their ability to express religious views.  Here is the link:  Link

My wife has been out of town the last four days.  While she was gone, her Victoria’s Secret Catalog came in the mail.
