when i do remember my dreams, it’s always in the process of waking up
Mostly. they mostly come out at night, mostly.
most of the time, usually in the morning right before i wake up are the ones i remember the most.
Yes.
Sometimes…if it’s especially wierd or disturbing, I’ll remember it.
If I wake up sticky I can pretty much guess what was going on.
Only if it was a nightmare or a recurring dream from times past.
most of the time. ill forget randoms facts throughout the day though and that bothers me. oh well. i love dreams. most of the time. they’re like little adventures that are beyond the norm.
Unfortunately, yes.
If I get more than 7 hours of sleep, yes. But since that’s pretty rare, my answer is no. I don’t usually remember my dreams.
When I actually sleep well, and wake normally, not when I get 3 hours of broken disrupted sleep for the 5th night in a row…
Sometimes.
sometimes. Recently I do remember them. I think I used to block my dreams out. I can only assume they were bad.
yes
sometimes. I like it when I do. I learn useful things about myself and God in dreams.
I dream every night. They have been more solid rather than just fleeting moments. More like a story rather than stand alone images and atmosphere. They have been more intense. The rub is that I tend to lose them quite quickly, within a few minutes of waking up. Either they are way too detailed to recall as I have done so in the past or else because I am in the midst of finals, I have to get my focus about me first thing in the morning.
Yes…especially when I run through the dream one more time in my head.
Yes.
Very rarely.
Only assholes dream.
When I do they’re pretty remarkable. Most often they are just jumbled bits and pieces of memories
I never remember a thing
I dasn’t sleep. Hence why I’m posting here.
Not always.
a lot of the time. And my dreams are epic. I enjoy them.
Not much. I usually forget them the moment I wake up.
Do dreams have meaning?
Yes…I do, but I got to jog it down or I will forget.
the good ones
Yes, often. My dreams are pretty vivid and in detail though so it isnt hard.
no
Nope. But I’m also B12 deficient. :]
if I write them down…
i usually do
mostly
If it’s particularly memorable, yes.
only the really weird ones.
It depends, not on the dream, but on whether I’m really asleep or not. If I’m in that perfect not-really-asleep-but-definitely-not-awake-either state, then yeah.
If they freak me out, which they usually do. So normally, yes.
By the way, people, ALL of you dream.
yeah i do actually, only if my dreams were vivid
Sometimes, and I do dream in color which I heard is uncommon.
Sometimes.. I wish I could remember all of my dreams..
I do know that I die in almost every one! ..It’s fun to wake up after dying..
ahh.. I Love dreaming so much.. it’s the best
Sometimes yes. Especially if it had a huge impact on me.
Yes, for a few minutes. If I don’t tell hubs right away, I forget them. This morning I dreamt that my father was feeding my baby and a snake slithered up the highchair. I ran in and grabbed the snake and was afraid he would wrap around the baby or bite me. That’s when I woke up. I will probably have the same unfinished dream a few more times. They tend to haunt me.
Yep, I worked out a problem I was having on learing an ice hockey play in one of my dreams. I worked out all the details in one dream which was good since my coach would have skated us if I hadn’t learned the system by then/
I do remember most of the time. It depends on how vivid the dreams on to stay on my mind longer instead of poof** when I wake up.
I don’t dream.
Yes, this morning my dream that I recall was I was Santa, but Santa as a guiding spirit to all the Mall Santas, see they couldn’t see me, but I helped them…..Odd isn’t it? Yesterday was a classic – being chased by bad people, but I got into that situation because I was seduced by a floozy……..that was more befitting of Biker Boy
Yes. I lucid dream as well.
Yes.
Im an insomniac, so when i do sleep, i’m constantly waking up in my third stage of sleep, which is lucid dreaming, which makes me remember all my dreams, down to the point of what was said before i woke up, strange huh?
Depends ont their content.
Some of them..but not all.
if i eat right before i go to bed i always have dreams that wake me up and stick with me. i dont remember unless they wake me up.
sometimes. one time i wrote a dream down because i wanted to remember it
Generally not.
If you remember dreams, you’re not getting all of your sleep cycles.
Wanna know a secret? People don’t really dream the future.
Here’s what happens:
1. Your senses lag, making it so that you see/hear/etc. things before you actually realize you see/hear/etc. them.
2. When your brain finally picks up the messages from your eyes/ears/etc., it interprets the previous messages (or the current messages, however you want to think of it,) as dreams that you’ve had before.
3. You also tend to feel a little dizzy or like you’re in a surreal state.
It’s pretty cool. A person’s mind can do so much to them.
Yes, actually, for the past straight two months, I’ve woken up and the dream will be implanted in my brain. I usually forget most of it, though, if I don’t make some attempt to really think about it or write it down …
very rarely…but i do dream in color
I do not usually dream at nite only during my awake hours :^)
yeah.
but only half the time.
sometimes. like last night i dreamt that i dreamt the whole golden state warriors beating us even when we were in the lead practically the whol stinking game
AGHHHHH DALLAS IS SUPOSSED TO WIN IT ALLLL THIS YEAR! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
and i’ve just realized that i’ve been reading your site for almost a year now. hmmm. wow. time goes by fast.
Yes, usually. And then I spend the day piecing together what I’d forgotten until I’ve got the whole thing down. Then, that night when I go to bed, I lie in bed analyzing it (and elaborating on it?) until I fall asleep to dream a new one.
Sometimes I wake up conscious of the fact that I had been dreaming but completely unable to remember any details about the dream. Other times I wake up with a vivid remembrance of the dream. I’ve been told that we only remember the dreams that closest to the point of waking.
Almost all the time, unless I am rudely awoken.
sometimes.
I go through phases. That’s how I know I’m slipping back into depression– when I have memorable dreams.
Almost never. My daughter, however, has vivid dreams and always remembers them. She dreamed once that she was standing at a window watching a giant wave come toward her, but she was very calm and felt no fear. A few days later, when the tsunami hit Thailand and my brother couldn’t be located, she assured me that he was okay. She was right. She’s done that more than once, but her dreams are usually just crazy silly.
Depends on how deeply I slept.
Really only a nightmare or a dream that was totally wacky.
yes, sometimes
I remember some the first few minutes after I wake up….and then they become a blur afterwards.
Yes, If it was a sweet dream!
I hardly ever remember my dreams, and when I do, it’s rarely very detailed.
Sometimes.
Only if I had it right before I woke up.
Like this morning
Rarely.
On occasion, yes. The really vivid dreams are always remembered.
No. Not at all.
Yes, some I wish Iwouldn’t remember some, but others are very insightful and I have litterally had some come true.
I just wanted to debate an earlier post saying we don’t really dream the future. I had a dream about going into an antique store that I had never been into and a lady with a long patchwork skirt asked us if she could help us with anything. I remembered the dream at that time because of the skirt so when It actually came true and we went to this store I remembered the dream. As a child I dreamt about having more sisters before they were born. That dream itself was a nonsense dream but the part about having more sisters was not.
Very rarely, and only ones close to wake-up.
always.
Not usually! LoL
I remember my dreams fairly regularly. So does my husband. We joke sometimes that it’s what we eat that causes us to remember our dreams.
No I forget them all. All those vibrant dreams that I can’t remember. Somehow I know I was dreaming, even though I don’t remember dreaming, which may not mean I’m remembering anything real – since I forget them, who knows?
Anyway, for sure, the dreams I do have – I remember those. Of course I do. Because I remember them. I probably just don’t have the dreams I forgot.
*snarf*
I’ve only remembered the horrible ones lately….I’ve been so busy and tired (6 hrs. of sleep tops for at least several months). I used to remember them all…and they were so wonderful. I can’t wait for summer. I’ll probably get insomnia, but when I finally do sleep, my dreams will be wonderful.
I very, very rarely remember dreams. I find it kind of disappointing… I wish I could remember them. =(

Usually 3 or 4 per night, sometimes more.
Often.
But generally I’d need to write them down. . .
Else. . .

Never. Unless it’s a nightmare and I wake up from it. Dinkin Flicka.
lately, yes… and they aren’t dreams, they are nightmares.
depends.
Oh, yes. I’m a vivid dreamer. Sometimes, I have been known to wake up from a particularly boring dream. When I was a waitress in college, I’d dream of clearing tables. Last night, it was a mix-up with some chicken I was supposed to be making. Full color and lots of details–to sleep, most times to dream. I love it when I can recognize bits from my day and how they changed in my dreams.
vaguely
Some dreams are that vivid I remember every detail of them, some well are best not to remember, sometimes yes and sometimes no!
Yes … but usually not in the morning. If I wake up from a dream in the middle of the night, go to the restroom, take the puppy out or whatever, I usually think about it until I fall asleep again.

the upside is dreaming in layers…. actually having a dream. then, taking a nap, while I’m inside my dream so whoever and whatever my dream world is get’s to have a 2nd layer. those are usually the most intense and enjoyable. I’ve had 4 layers, but that only happened once and took FOREVER to wake up. lol.
sometimes, especially if I woke up by an alarm or something……….
sometimes… ive been dreaming a lot more lately and i usually forget more than i remember. Ive had two dreams in the last month i remember:
(1)Something was going on in a house and then there were snakes everywhere, that was an odd dram
(2)I dreamed i was with a group of knights who were carrying a queen down hills and through the woods and they had british accents. Every now and then they would say, “mind the big rocks!”… lol, thats was hilarious and i laughed when i woke up.

Vaguely.
Yes, but they’re gone by the end of the day.
No. Close to never.
I can only recal 4 dreams at this moment. And I only recall ever recalling dreams on 8 occassions.
these days i hardly dream, so when i do i want to remember it, to analyze it.
yess
Yes, at least 80% of the time. In fact, they are so vivid that I occasionally talk about them in my sleep and wake up hearing myself talk.
They are quite weird as well. Like last night, I dreamt that my dad was bored and decided to fly to Florida for vacation and only go on the vacation for one day, even though it’s over 1,000 miles away. And the other day I dreamt that I was in a debate round but had forgotten to write my affirmative case and was in front of the judge and didn’t know what to say. Scary.
Although, my weirdest dream ever was when I needed to hide from Nazi soldiers, so I turned into a paper clip and sat on a barrel. But hey, they didn’t see me. Wahoo!
I’m sure that’s more than you asked for. Oh well.
Sometimes. I have been recently more than usual.
almost never, i only ever remember nightmares -_-
I remember about half of my dreams, and unfortunately, I tend to remember nightmares more than good dreams.
Yes, and I have lots of dreams. Some greys and some “technicolor”. I have bouts of recurring dreams and dreams that continue when I fall asleep again. I can remember vividly lots of dreams esp. those that recurred in my childhood. I think the weirdest was a recurring dream in which I am a ball that can’t stand rolling on the rough sand so I take to a wire suspended over the sand but then the ground is really smooth and I “have” to get back down to the sand only to have it get really rough again. I also had one in which I was trick or treating with King Kong…As an adult my recurring dreams are usually of tornadoes.
If it’s profound enough.
sometimes, but they have to be really wierd or random. One time I had a dream where a goat ate me. Yes, a goat.
I don’t usually remember my dreams, is that bad? Or when I do, it would be for a split second right when I wake up … it’s annoying as hell.
yeah most of the times. but like when I tried really hard to get the details, I tend to forget the whole dream.
> When I have a dream I can remember….
Peace when you can remember how…..
Esp if I tell someone right away
I would say about 10% of the time, and of that 10% only a few dreams seem to stay in memory for more than 5 minutes! BoOoOoOoOo!
Yup, but only if I have been drinking the night before. Infact my roommate and I were just swapping the freaky dreams we just had. It appears that alcohol either gives us some really freaky dreams we remember, or doesn’t really effect our dreams but just our ability to remember them.
Typically, no. And usually when I do, I wish I didn’t.
Sometimes.
yes , I usually do..and I dream alot
sometimes, like this morrning. but usally only the interesting or wierd ones
Not usually. I tend to remember dreams if I wake up in the middle of them, though.
yes in fact i found one recently so amazing i just had to write it down so i worte in down in a blog on my myspace
Most of the time.
Most the time, yes.
Sometimes but I hate them because there weird
sometimes. but sometimes i don’t want to remember the ones i remembered.

yeah most of the times. but like when I tried really hard to get the details, I tend to forget the whole dream.

Peace when you can remember how…..

Yup, but only if I have been drinking the night before. Infact my roommate and
I were just swapping the freaky dreams we just had. It appears that alcohol
either gives us some really freaky dreams we remember, or doesn’t really effect
our dreams but just our ability to remember them.
Typically, no. And usually when I do, I wish I didn’t.
Sometimes.
