 Richard Gere has been ordered to be arrested by an Indian court. 

As I mentioned in my photoblog earlier, Richard Gere kissed actress Shilpa Shetty a few weeks ago at an AIDS campaign event in India.  It was determined to be an obscene act that was committed in public.  The issue has not died down in India since it happened and now a judge has ordered him to be arrested.  Here is the link:  Link  Here is the actual video of him kissing her:  Link

The University of Northern Colorado has stirred up a little controversy by placing a list of people that are banned from their school on their internet site.  They placed their actual photos on the site.  Here is a link so you can see their photos:  Link

One of the reasons this has created controversy is that the school linked the site as what they were doing to stop a situation like Virginia Tech from happening at their school.  One of the students has expressed displeasure over being compared to the shooter at Virginia Tech.

One of the women on the list suffered from anorexia and had a heart attack.  Brittany Bethel was banned from the school because she was a threat to herself.

Does it violate the student’s privacy rights to have their names and photos placed on the school website as banned?

A few designer babies are about to be created.  The babies will be from families who have been touched by breast cancer.  The embryos will be screened to prevent the children from having the disease.  The embryos will be selected that do not have the gene that has the highest risk of carrying cancer.  Here is the link:  Link

Many of you may have heard already that presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani has warned that if a Democrat is elected president in 2008, that we run a risk of another 9/11 type attack.

I might have a problem on my hands.  I just read an article about Bratz Dolls. 

Bratz Dolls are dolls that are created by a child.  They can give them clothing and makeup. 

The article I read by Sally Wadyka.  She was asking the question “Are Bratz Dolls too sexy?”  The article focuses on the fact that young girls play with these dolls and learn to be sexualized at an early age.  Here is the link:  Link
