I’m surprised that with the high volume of comments you get here that you remember that I’ve griped about you. I assume you are remembering the correct person and not confusing me with some other person who has griped about you in the past.
To be honest, my gripe was not necessarily with you as a blogger as with the manner by which Xanga did the Featured Content(when there was a Featured Content). The reason for this was because in the past, I had begun what eventually became a very popular blog. The name of the blog was Gucci Chimp. I don’t expect you to remember it because it was about two years ago. Regardless, I would get 75 to 100 eprops and not make Featured Content. I don’t know the reason for this. My best guess is because of the popularity of the blog “Gucci Man,” which was always on Featured Content at that time, although my blog never mentioned him and really had nothing to do with him. Countless times the blog would get enough eprops to make Featured Content but was deliberately not listed. I did my best to make Gucci Chimp friendly, funny, and respectful. There’s really no reason for Xanga to have kept the blog off of featured, but I have considerably less respect for them as a company because of the way I was treated.
I’ve had alot of blogs, but I put more of my heart and my soul into Gucci Chimp than any of them. I responded thoughtfully to every comment, read their blogs, tried to make my comments relevant to what they had written. I suppose I’ve become disillusioned with Xanga, but there’s really nothing else comparable on the internet to choose in Xanga’s place. If there was, I would go there.
I’ve always believed that you get out of something what you put into it, and that works everywhere but Xanga.
