It’s kind of like making your myspace name something in a different language when you don’t speak that language at all. People just want to show off. This person doesn’t actually want to be assaulted, but she thinks it would be cool to be able to fend someone off and tell people about it. The idea of it seems very romanticized to someone who has never actually been assaulted and has no idea what it’s actually like. I think probably everyone has these types of thoughts at some point. They would never want certain things to happen but they fantasize about what it would be like if they did and came out the hero.
