  • Back Stabbing

Rosie O’Donnell is being quoted being critical of the women on “The View.”

    Photo

She is being quoted as saying: ”I got to tell you, I’ve been hanging around with those heteros for a full year and it’s not fun. Turn around one minute and they’ll stab you in the back with a high heel. They will.”   Here is the link:  Link

Why is Rosie allowed to say things like this without any consequence?

  • 10 Commandments of Driving

The Vatican issued the “Ten Commandments” for drivers.

    Photo

This is not a joke.  Here are the “Ten Commandments:”

    1. You shall not kill.

    2. The road shall be for you a means of communion between people and not of mortal harm.

    3. Courtesy, uprightness and prudence will help you deal with unforeseen events.

    4. Be charitable and help your neighbor in need, especially victims of accidents.

    5. Cars shall not be for you an expression of power and domination, and an occasion of sin.

    6. Charitably convince the young and not so young not to drive when they are not in a fitting condition to do so.

    7. Support the families of accident victims.

    8. Bring guilty motorists and their victims together, at the appropriate time, so that they can undergo the liberating experience of forgiveness.

    9. On the road, protect the more vulnerable party.

    10. Feel responsible toward others.

Is it making light of the original Ten Commandments for the Vatican to come up with the Ten Commandments of driving?

  • Star

This question is based on something I read on Wannabeeskinny2

Is it pathetic to star your own post?

  • Privacy and the Internet

I received this post idea from http://www.xanga.com/pseudoecho

“I just downloaded this type of software on the computer my two girls use. They’re 12 and 13.  It takes screenshots of all the sites they’ve been to, monitors keystrokes, passwords, chat logs, basically everything they do on the computer.

Do you feel this is a violation of their privacy or do you side with the parents who use this software as a means to protect their children from viewing adult sites, pedophiles, etc?”

Does it violate a child’s privacy for a parent to install monitoring software?

  • Jon Stewart

It is being reported that NBC is attempting to bring Jon Stewart over from Comedy Central.  Here is the link:  Link

Do you think it would be a mistake for Jon Stewart to leave Comedy Central?

  • No Touch Rule

A middle school in Fairfax County has banned touching.  They have not only banned fighting and inappropriate touching.

They have banned hugging, holding hands, handshakes and high-fives.  The rule is “NO PHYSICAL CONTACT.”

The students are punished if they give a classmate a hug.  The school officials believe the “no touch rule” is the only way to keep the school safe.  Here is the link:  Link

I think I went through jr. high and high school and didn’t feel the need to hug someone once.

Do students really need to hug in jr. high school?

  • RYC

I have read several posts or comments in that last 2 years on the issue of “RYC.”  RYC is an abbreviation for “Regarding Your Comment.”  When a person wants to respond to something that was written on their post, they just go back to the commenter’s site and write RYC:  plus their reply.

But I have noticed in comments and posts that some people are offended by people using RYC without actually commenting on their post.  It bothers them when someone will respond to their comment but not even take the time to read, think and comment about their post.

Does it bother you when people use RYC without commenting on your post?

  • Being a Prince

Recently Matt Lauer interviewed Prince William and Prince Harry asking them questions about their mother.

It is the ten year anniversary of their mother’s death.

In the interview, Matt Lauer asked them “What’s the coolest thing about being a prince?”  Here is the link:  Link

Do you think you would want to be a prince or princess?

  • Poor Grades

If you received poor grades in school, would you rather the reason be because you had a learning disability or that you were just lazy?

  • Donating Sperm

I have a friend here on xanga that has an interesting situation that I asked her if we could discuss.  She is a lesbian and her partner and her want to have a child together.  The problem is that they need sperm.

Now they can get a sperm donor through the regular method of going to a “sperm bank.”  But it is cheaper if they find their own donor.  So she has a guy picked out.  He is everything she would want a man to be if she was interested in men.

But her problem is asking the man for his sperm.  She explained to him what she was doing and he sounded interested in the process.  The man would sign off the rights to the child.  The problem is she is sort of embarrassed to ask the man to make the donation.

Ladies:  Could you ask a man friend for his sperm for the purpose of getting pregnant?

Guys:  Would you give your woman friend your sperm if she asked for it?
