• Terror

I want to dedicate this post this evening to those who are in a fight against terrorism with the U.S. and the whole world. The UK was able to avoid a terrorism plot the other day.

In Scotland, a jeep crashed into a Scottish airport.

I think we need to see these attacks to be against all of us.

• As a pilot, an attack against any airport is an attack against me…..

and then there’s that whole I’m a human thing…

• What do they have against freedom? Or democracy depending on who you ask.

• and third and fourth while am at…..

• hatred at it’s finest

• this is just so sad, how hateful people can be..

• Terrorism will always be around, and always have been. Just not on the scale it is now.
Not that it’s not horrible, but hatred in such a way is never new.

9th.. or 10ish. =)

• hmmmm……do I get a hint of sarcasm here Dan?

• Oh, wow.

Crazy.

Why can’t people just get along.

• *agrees with seducefate*

• Oh yeah man. I hope airports heighten security in the next couple of days. Don’t forget July 4th is a national holiday and the terrorists know this. I seriously hope we don’t get any “unexpected fireworks” this week.

• Even if we pull out of all hte middle east will they stop? No becuase then they will lose the lil power base they have and the men will go back to thier lives after the jihad. THe terrorist leaders will attack again. We pull out they attack with whoel countires as thier base, if we stay they attack us anyway. Burden of the powerful.

• The question you might want to ask is, “Why are people like that?”

• damn it, that’s terrible

• “Why are people like that?”
6/30/2007 11:40 PM faerieshadow
Because they are brainwashed their entire lives to believe certain things. It happens everywhere.

• I’m having a hard time deciding if this is one of those sarcastic posts of yours or not.. >_>

• We need to learn to play by the rules the enemy understands. They attack civilians I think that we should attack civilians. I know that we can do terror so we should wage a terror campaign against the countries that harbor terrorists. If you attack the civilians of those countries then eventually the people will rise up and put an end to the support for the terror groups.

• I’m not on either of your teams. You people can crash your cars and airplanes into each other’s buildings and torture each other’s prisoners of war in your concentration camps to your heart’s content, bloody barbarians. Don’t lump me into your cart of failed foreign policy. If you crank a tiger’s tail long enough, eventually it will bite back. Problems like this should never occur to begin with. This whole phony terror war has been dedicated to the ineffectual treatment of symptoms such as this while the root causes of discord have been deliberately ignored in order to provide smooth causus belli for the grabbers of power.

• terrorism is what this shit is all about. it is not just the war in iraq. people in america have this false sense of security as if we are untouchable. this is a very bad situation, and the genaral populace has no idea of the dangers. wake up america or at least watch your back !

• “All of us” meaning who? Westerners? Non-Muslims? Supporters of the war? People with common sense?

• stupid fucking terrorists. let’s kill them all

• i will never be able to comprehend how some people can do that…honestly it kinda scares me

• Dan, why do you trust FOX with your news?

Oh yeah, you’re one of those damn conservatives…

• I have to give a hand to terrorists. They’re not middle-aged mothers. And if they are, at least they’re doing the responsible thing and taking their own lives.

• Sometimes, I wonder what the older generation did to those dreams of peace and love and all to leave us a world screwed.

’nuff said…

• and what fuels that terror. Terror has been around for centuries. It has become more prominent how is the greater question…

• any plot to kill is against all of us, I did not see any sarcasm, yet most of the times you don’t post anything real, so maybe there was sarcasm? then of course, back to plots, one could say any plot to defend would be the same……….yet it is not………and yet the ones plotting to kill could say it is a plot to defend……in their twisted minds………all in all, it is all quite sad……and will only end the day He decides it to……..and then, it will get really ugly, would not want to be around for that :) and will not be :)

• and people say the crusades were a bad idea…

• Yes, it is against all of us and it affects all of us. And by all of us I do mean ALL of us, Western, Muslim and everyone else. When will people learn that violence is NOT the answer?

• I’m glad the UK was able to prevent the act of terrorism .. so many lives were saved. It is sad that people are so coldhearted and hateful that they have to kill innocent people.

I hope you are enjoying your Sunday, Dan!! Alicia

• Guys…

He’s most likely being sarcastic. You can tell because he built it up only to say it was a simple car crash.

• USA received a warning two weeks ago that there will be an attack at Glasgow Airport. But, we ignored it.

HMMMMMMMMMMMM WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN LAST?!

• I’m only just catching up with the whole UK thing. I pity anyone who messes with those UKers!

• A strike against anyone is a strike against God’s creation. Yes, we have to fight. We have to stand up against those who seek to destroy. That means everyone. Even the ones we fight with have people who are bullied and brainwashed into fighting for something they don’t believe in, but have no choice. Someone sitting in a stone house in Scotland and someone sitting in a hut or tin dwelling in Africa should have the same equal backing of the rest of the world. I don’t see why we can’t see that? I shouldn’t say that…I do know why. It comes down to three letters S I N.

• they’re afraid.

• That really scares me. I’m flying to Africa on Saturday, and am just a little bit worried about it. On the side: I wonder why this kind of stuff happens to

• whoops
*to the British more often and we haven’t had a terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11. Britian is waaaay more permissive of radical groups saying whatever they want. Maybe that has something to do with it.

• How sad. Some people are just horrible.

Thank God for people like my Husband.

• USA received a warning two weeks ago that there will be an attack at Glasgow Airport. But, we ignored it.
HMMMMMMMMMMMM WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN LAST?!
7/1/2007 9:25 AM
juStxwondering (message) AMEN! I mean honestly. The terrorists play by the rules, even though the propaganda that is fed to Americans through sources such as Fox News [PROPAGANDA IN ITS FINEST]. Honestly, if there was more understanding of ones anothers cultures and beliefs and not just most Christian Americans spewing the same crap along the lines of “Become a Christian or you’re going to hell! And we’ll burn you at the stake now!” Fuck conservatives. The terrorists are proving a point.

Um… I think they still hate us, no matter where we get our news from. It’s nothing personal of course, just the way it’s supposed to be. So let’s all be very open-minded of their culture and beliefs and not cry the next time Al-Quaeda blows up something killing thousands of people.
Go ask the 6 million Jews slaughtered during the Holocaust about being permissive and understanding of other cultures. It’s all good and well until they try to kill you.

• I don’t know who we’re fighting against. That is a problem.

• I am NOT traveling on July 4th. It would not surprise me ONE BIT if another 9/11 happened. Then everyone will say ‘Why God? Why could you not get us off our lazy butts and make us tighten security and go to measures that would protect us?’ Peh.

I shall call this generation ‘The Generation of Insanely Idioticly Stupid Vacant Headed People’.

• My heart broke when I saw this scene on the news.
I love Great Britain and Scotland… I wish somebody would start taking these attacks very seriously. So the new PM is scottish, but is he really scottish? I want Tony Blair!

• :/

• I live in NY so, I’m terrify they will come back for another attack. :(

• I don’t really understand your last sentence. Did you mean to say “we need to see these attacks as being against all of us”?

• Since a great percentage of jeep owners are white, I have to naturally assume this was racially motivated. Double the punishment for a hate crime!

• My sister was in glascow that day. She was on vacation visiting some friends overseas. She’s actually coming back from there today, and it’s unsettling to think that if it had been about a day sooner her life would have been threatened. It’s scary. I don’t understand why those people thought it was necessary to try to explode their jeep in the airport. What was their point they were trying to prove? Just the fact my sister was there makes me care even more about it, so I’m probably being more grossly biased than I normally am, but still. What do you think their point was? I know I don’t know.

• *glasgow-sorry I couldn’t spell it.

• Someone gets bent outta shape because someone has something or can do something better. they brainwash people. thus, a terrorist group is born.

Hitler killed the Jews because they were better than him at school or art or something.

• People snap everyday. Haven’t you ever seen “Falling Down” with Michael Douglas??

• Turtle 12 has been reading Kurt Vonnegut or something…

• I believe bittersunday asked it first: who is this “us”?

• If you are interested in tracking all these things this a great map that documents things of interest every five minutes world wide.

http://www.globalincidentmap.com/home.php

• I was really worried about that when I heard about it. I have friends in Scotland.

• …And that map that gwenhyfar777 was talking about, I checked it out. It’s kind of scary how there are easily more than a dozen incidents marked in the US, but none in Canada or Mexico. It just shows us Americans that there really is a big problem going on in our country.

• “If you attack the civilians of those countries then eventually the people will rise up and put an end to the support for the terror groups.” mrcolorful

Mrcolorful is suggesting that the U.S. attack civilians in order to change the minds of the muslims that support these terrorist actions. I don’t know about you, but whenever another group attack the innocent of another society, the victims have in most cases risen back up in unity against the aggressor. Essentially, Mrcolorful is way off base by making that statement.

• You’re right. We do. Easier said than done though.

• religious zeal and self-righteousness gone to seed once again

well, religion serves as a good excuse anyway, and often hides one’s true motives, even to oneself.
