  • Pedophile

Jack McClellan is a self-described pedophile.

    AP Photo

He says he has never molested a child.  He has never been caught molesting a child.  But he had a Web site where he posted photos of children and talked about how he liked to go to parks, libraries and fast-food restaurants where little girls would hang out.

Superior Court Judge Melvin Sandvig issued a injunction that prohibited McClellan from going within 30 feet of a school, playground or any place where children congregated.

McClellan has also been banned from “contacting, videotaping or photographing children.”  Here is the link:  Link

I am not sure that you can be a parent and not be angry at the thought of this guy.  But others point out that he has never committed a crime until he violated an order by a judge to stay away from children.  There are people in the media that literally defend his right to say whatever he wants.

Should a person have court action taken against him/her for expressing his/her thoughts?

    Is a shaved head attractive?

  • Genital Herpes

The following letter came into the contracostatimes.com:

“I am a lawyer. During a first date with another lawyer, we had sex, and I wore a condom. Days later, when I came down with a bad fever and couldn’t determine the cause, she revealed that she had genital herpes. A judgeship will soon open up in her county, and she’s a near lock for it. But if I report her lapse of sexual ethics, I doubt that the selection committee will pick her. Should I?”  Here is the link:  Link

Should the man report the information to the selection committee?

  • Proofread

I was reading an article where someone was expressing their disappointment with what is happening with the English language.  One of the questions she asked was “Are there no proofreaders anymore?”  She mentioned that the computer spell check only catches so many errors.  So people need to proofread.

Do you proofread your entries before you hit submit or do you just hit spell check?

  • Art Museum

My family and I visited the Art Museum today.  I would like to make two observations about the Art Museum.

    # 1 The Art Museum is the one place where you can stare at naked people and not look like a perv.

    # 2  Some of the art at the museum doesn’t belong there.

I can never get over what is called abstract art.

Take this piece by Theo van Doesburg:

(According to Wikipedia, this piece is no longer copyrighted).

When I look at this piece, I don’t understand why it is considered art.  I don’t understand why it belongs in an art museum.  Anyone could create it.

    Is this piece art?

Can you ever really ban guns?

  • The Rev. Ted Haggard

The Rev. Ted Haggard stepped down from the church he pastored after admitting he was involved in “sexual immorality.”

Now he needs financial help. So he has asked his supporters for financial support. The financial support will help him for two years while he goes back to school.

He is getting a degree in counseling.

Do you think you could send financial support to a fallen minister?

  • Terror Attack

Hillary Clinton suggested the other day that a terror attack before the next election would benefit the Republican candidates.

  • Big Bang Theory

Ralph Alpher, the provider of the model of the “Big Bang Theory,” just met the Provider of the model of the creation theory. Here is the link: Link

Do you think that something as complicated as the world could just pop into existence without a creator?

  • 300

A history teacher at Westside Middle School decided to play the a few minutes of the R-rated movie “300″ in class.  A parent was upset because the movie had “prolonged scenes of female nudity, sex acts, lesbian and homosexual content.”

The school administration reported that the clip that was shown had no profanity, no nudity, no violence.”  Here is the link:  Link

Is it appropriate to show a movie like “300″ to middle school kids as long as you don’t show the profanity, nudity and violence?
