  • ButtCam

There is a store now that have placed video cameras just outside their dressing rooms.

The purpose of those cameras is for people to be able to check out their own butt.  The store, Hub Clothing in Scottsdale, Arizona, has place cameras outside the dressing rooms and has a big screen TV.

A person can come out of the dressing room and see how their butt looks on a big screen TV.  Here is the link:  Link  It is said that the buttcam is a hit.

Do you think your butt is big screen worthy?

  • Reading

One out of four adults say they have not read any books in the past year.  Here is the link:  Link

Have you read at least one book from cover to cover in the last year?

  • Minorities, Teachers and Testing

Over half of the black and Hispanic applicants that wanted teaching jobs in Massachusetts have failed the writing portion of the state licensing test.  52 percent of Hispanics and 54 percent of blacks have failed the test in the last decade since the test began.  23 percent of white applicants fail.

The high failure rate is making it more difficult to bring diversity to the teaching profession.  Minorities also fall behind in subjects like English, history and math.  Since diversity is the goal, the chairman of the state Board of Education is “willing to consider other ways of assessing teachers, as long as standards remain high.”

The state is looking into the issue of why the minorities are scoring lower.  There are those that are suggesting that the tests are culturally biased.  One lawyer is going to be filing a lawsuit against the Department of Education for three minority teachers who failed the test.  Here is the link:  Link

Do you ever get the feeling that the people who write these test are just racist?

  • Family Loyality

Rudy Giuliani has been out running for president with the other candidates.  While he was out on the campaign trail, a woman asked him a question.  Katherine Pudhomme-O’Brien said she asked, “how he’d expect the American people to give him loyal fellowship if he was having a hard time getting it from his own family.”

    Katherine Prudhomme-O'Brien

Rudy Giuliani’s response is what has made the news when he answered, “There are complexities in every family in America. The best thing I can say is kind of leave my family alone, just like I’ll leave your family alone.”  Here is the link:  Link

Now this woman was not a reporter.  Regular people are going to ask whatever they are going to ask.  When Al Gore was running for president, she asked him about Bill Clinton’s person misbehavior.

She has suggested that the media is not doing their job:  “I’m very frustrated by the media. I think maybe they want to maintain access, so maybe they’re selling their soul for access and not doing their job.”

Is the question How do you “expect the American people to give him loyal fellowship if he was having a hard time getting it from his own family” an inappropriate question?

  • Illegal Immigration

Elvira Arellano was an illegal immigrant who went to a Chicago church for protection against being deported.

Authorities would not go inside the church to arrest her.  So she stayed in the church for a year.  She was an illegal immigrant who had a child in the U.S.  She was arrested the other day when she left the church and she was sent back to Mexico.  She left her son here with her pastor.

She has said she will fight the separation of immigrants and their families.  Her son is a legal citizen because he was born here.  Here is the link:  Link

Do you believe that illegal immigrants who have children in the U.S. should be given priority for U.S. citizenship?

  • Regret

As I mentioned in my photoblog, the results of a recent study showed that married women were almost twice as likely to wish they had married someone else than men were.

The title of the article was “Why women regret their choice of spouse more than men.”  But the article never answered why women were more likely to regret their choice than men.  Here is the link:  Link

Why do you think women are more likely to regret their choice in a spouse?

  • One Single Master

Russian President Vladmir Putin accused the U.S. of trying to make itself the “one single master.”

    Photo

Putin said, “What is a unipolar world? No matter how we beautify this term it means one single center of power, one single center of force and one single master.”  Here is the link:  Link
