If you could choose one tv show to live in which one would it be and why?

A law was passed in Connecticut that required hospital personnel to give emergency contraception to all rape victims.  The Catholic church runs four of those hospitals and initially the Catholic church refused to give out Plan B because of religious reasons.  The church leaders changed their minds.   Here is the link:  Link

It is being reported that Saddam Hussein offered to go into exile a month before the U.S. went into Iraq if the U.S. paid him $1 billion and if he could keep all of his information about weapons of mass destruction.  Here is the link:  Link

The cost of the war is estimated to be at $455 billion.                            

Knowing what you know now:  If you could pay Saddam $1 billion to go into exile and let him keep his information about weapons of mass destruction, would you do it?

We talked about this on the show tonight and I said I wanted to post about it.  The issue was whether a woman should be criminally responsible if her child is deformed if she uses drugs while pregnant.

It is said that it is her body.  I found one article on this issue but it is old and I don’t know if it was appealed to the Supreme Court.  Here is the link:  Link

A Harvard student went to court in order to receive extra time on her medical licensing exam so she can “pump breast milk to feed her 4-month-old daughter.

The medical licensing exam is nine hours long.  The standard is to give students 45 minutes in breaks during the exam.  The appeals court judge ruled she could have an additional 60 minutes in break time.   

The student, Sophie Currier, argued that she ”risks medical complications if she does not nurse her daughter.”  The appeals court judge ruled that she needs the break time “to put her on ‘equal footing’ with the men and non-lactating women who take the exam.”  Here is the link:  Link

“At what age should a young adult be responsible for their own well being? Such as…work, pay their own living expenses (housing, food, transportation), make decisions about their future and the responsibilities this entails (college, move out on their own, etc.).

In essence, when should a parent cut the apron strings with their children? I realize this is based upon ability and maturity of the child, but when is the age to that these responsibilities are NOT the parents anymore?”
