Christmas
It won’t be long and Christmas will be here. So it is time to begin writing out our wish list.
If you could have one item that cost under a $1000 for Christmas, what would you want?

Comments (173)
Books!
Laser hair removal on my legs! Wouldn’t it be amazing never to have to shave again?
A gift certificate to amazon.com.
The one-laptop per child laptop.
World peace.
A good book.

under $1000? hmmm….books, a few movies, maybe a PS3…
Or I could forgo all of that to have EVERYONE I could ever possibly want to see here for Christmas.
RYC:: Yup. ^ ^
A Wii, a respectable flatscreen TV, and a digital camera only cost around $750, and would indeed make me unfailingly happy.
Plane tickets so I could visit a friend.
An Angus Trim leaf-bladed longsword with the Christian Fletcher “Maeglas” upgraded hilt furniture and scabbard.
In case you were wondering, it looks like this
After watching ‘Bordertown’…. that the world would be a fairer place.

This one is easy, a laptop, I would love to be able to blog while laying comfortably on the couch or in bed – yay!
Or, I would have to say Xbox 360, with halo3 and guitar hero3, and xbox live…….errrrr, was that over a $1000 yet?
a TI-89 calculator, cell phone, digital camera, new jeans, new sweaters, more socks, any of those would make me pretty happy right now. But really, to choose just one, cell phone!! Its so hard to survive without one when everyone else has them
a plane ticket to alaska. or the UK.
I’d like a bass; I’m trying to learn it, and it’s kind of hard to learn without your own instrument.
Either that, or the ability to apply the $1000 to a trip across the US. I’d like to create my memories while I can, and a personal dream is to traverse as much of the US as I can before I settle down. Heaven would be the ability to get away with never settling down, and eventually making it through Europe, too.
Premium annual passes to Disneyland for all my friends and I.
or 1000 in gas.
the money. to go toward our ethiopia adoption fees in bringing our baby home.

I second what IssyMae said. It would be heaven to never have to shave again…
otherwise, I’d love a camcorder…
or a Wii… or a PS3…
I never want anything. I think I have everything I’d ever want.
That is so damn cliche. But it is true.
A Wacom tablet. More specifically: a 12 x 19″ Intuos3. With the leftover money, I’d get myself a drafting table, if only I had space to put it in this tiny apartment.
ryc: Aw, it’s my favourite kind of speech. When you write it out beforehand, it’s less nerve-wracking but also a lot less fun. Depends on the audience tho… if I was going on TV or something, I’d at least have some cue cards ready.
ryc: LOL! Not in the least famous. And glad to keep it that way.
First thing that comes to mind is lifetime premium.
a keyboard!!
I actually asked my mommy for a kitten. *little kid face*
I’ve always wanted one and we already had a cat, so she said no. But our ancient, 23-year-old cat died at the beginning of this year, so she has no excuse now. *crosses fingers*
I have the worst time thinking of Christmas wish lists. The only thing I really want/need is clothing.

Plane ticket and hotel room for couple of nites..

ummmm….a trip…for me and my bf.
RYC: Yeah, I made the switch on lying when I was about 17. The problem is when I get stressed, old habits sometimes die hard, and I slip up and make bad mistakes….I am going to tell them…the question now, is -when- do I tell them. Before or after Thanksgiving? lol…any ideas?

books, iPod touch, and some money for iTunes
I’m already getting it. Round trip tickets to the UK for Christmas and New Years and one general admission pass to NECNYE, the biggest rave in the uk for New Years Eve… 12,000 Brit ravers…
And me.

Currently I would like a 3500 word research paper on the Atlantic Slave trade with proper primary and secondary sources with Turabian citations oh and I would like it on December 7th
I’ll just take the money
I’d like to have a nicer digital camera. RYC: Yeah, the taxes on our house are set up that way, but the property with the barn on it, & the woods we own next to it are seperate from the house taxes, & are billed in Nov.
Laser hair removal…good idea!
Actually a $1,000 gift certificate to our wedding caterer would be grand!
RYC- we try and plan this early in November, before the guys get busy hunting and family dinners/events fill the schedule. Plus its so fun and relaxing, a great way to kick off the holiday season.

The first three answers sounded amazing.
I think I’d ultimately have to go with laser hair removal.
A digital SLR – I’m ready to completely ditch my print cameras.
$999
Since all of the places I want to travel would realistically cost more than $1000 when I add up plane tickets, room, board, etc…
I was going to say all of my textbooks for next semester, including the ones I’m buying for my own interest, but this was too good:
Currently I would like a 3500 word research paper on the Atlantic Slave

Oops. not kitt katt but wickedglee
Seriously though, I’d pay for my plane ticket to Italy next semester. Studying abroad is SO much more expensive than I expected it to be.
Hahaha, comet, I thought, “Wow! Someone else knows who that is??” then saw the comment above mine and realized that was probably what you meant.
a stock certificate of my chosing
A personal trainer for my mother and I. We are trying to get in shape together.
Well, hubby and I have already decided to splurge on a digital SLR camera, so there’s that, but since we’ve already decided on that purchase my 2nd option would be a glider rocking chair. They’re incredibly rare here for some reason, and usually cost more than $1000, but I’ve seen some on sale for less than that. I figure having a glider will make sleepless nights with our coming little one a bit easier…
umm??? a macbook! which is just at $1000.
a dog
An entire day at the spa !!!
the most badass labtop ever…
To be able to give the cash ($1000.00) to my church…they are having a hard time financially right now. I would definately give $1000.00 to them to help out with the church’s bills.

Daniel (doubledb)
$999.99 check
Madonna’s full discography.
Kenneth Cole shoes.
Ed Hardy clothes.
Dior sunglasses. Oh yeah.
Laser Hair Removal.
Or an iPhone. But I’d rather wait until newer ones come out with more guarantee that they won’t screw up.
a brand new acoustic guitar.
I’d be fine with brand new acoustic and electric guitars. They don’t even have to be in good condition. It would just spark my interest in playing again.
Under a $1000 you say. Hummph. I’d have asked for a wish under $100.
If your number is correct, things are worse than I expected. how sad.

How much does a supportive family cost?
a flight home
I wish the whole damnable commercial insult to anything spiritual would go away. It is crass commercialism manipulating religion for its own purposes. Any Christian in their right mind should completely turn their back on it.
The Orange Box
I came across this rosary recently. Although I’m not a Catholic, I do like items like this both for their spiritual connotations and because I like gemstones, quality metals and jewelry.
playstation 2
A nice digital camera for class.
I never own a camera and planning to get one myself soon. It would be nice if someone give it to me as a Christmas present. But, I know that would not happen.
If you’re buying, I’ll let you know, otherwise, I have no specific things, lol. I know what I ”got” to get, and since I’m not expecting anything from anyone else, lol, I really don’t have a “wish list”.
a pug puppy.
