Today is my birthday. I am 36 years old. I am halfway to 72.
Do you hate your birthdays or celebrate them?

This is part of a message I received from LarsThunder:
“If you are an agnostic, atheist or do not believe in Christianity, does that mean you don’t take off the 25th of December? It would seem to me that if you don’t believe in Christianity, you shouldn’t participate in the “holidays” that they are known for. I am not talking about the Christmas/holiday season, but rather the one specific day, December 25th. If you are an agnostic, atheist or have a belief other than Christianity and take the 25th as a day off or holiday, then you are hypocritical of your beliefs.”
Do you think it is hypocritical for an agnostic or atheist to take December 25th off?

I was reading an article by a woman that was discussing how women will often date men who are less attractive than them.
She points out the couples on TV but appears to think this is the case in real life. Here is the link: Link I am not sure but this might be a regional issue because I don’t see that much around here.
She writes a statement at the end of the article: “Still, it seems like men — attractive or not — have it easy in the dating department.”
Do you think men have it easier in the dating department?

Here we go:
Gigging:
“The idea is to go out on a boat in shallow water at night. Then you shine a spotlight into the water so you can see the fish. Then, you have something called a ‘gig’ that looks like a giant fork on a long wooden pole. Then you slam it into the water and hopefully into the fish. You pin it down until it stops squirming and then you pull it up into the boat.”
Is gigging redneck?
A Christian group is asking Christians to avoid shopping at stores that censor the word “Christmas.”

So it is that time of the year where we need to ask the question:
Does it bother you when people use the abbreviation Xmas instead of Christmas?
Many of you have probably seen the “Flying Man.” It is hard to tell if it is real.
I saw another example of it on nattata’s site.
Do you think it is real and would you want to try it?

A woman had a one-night stand with a man.
She became pregnant. She decided to keep the baby a secret from her family and the guy that got her pregnant. An appeal court in the UK ruled that the woman could keep the baby a secret from the guy. She is putting the child up for adoption but felt the husband wouldn’t be a long-term solution to provide care for the child.
The court ruled the woman has “the ultimate veto” on whether the father knew of the baby. Here is the link: Link
Do you think a woman should be able to give a child up for adoption without informing the father?
I started my Facebook today. I am hoping to get settled in here tonight. If you would like to add me as a friend, here is my site: Link
I want to give my first impressions of Facebook. I am always confused when using a new product. I am not very technologically inclined so I have to slowly make my way through with the help of someone on IM.
I have asked people what product they like better between Facebook or Myspace.
But it feels different actually spending a few minutes on Facebook. Maybe it is just because it is new but I like the feel of it. I get the feeling that Facebook is a superior product to Myspace.
Which do you feel has better features, Myspace or Facebook?
