The dark bits might be seasoning, like peppercorns. I am guessing some kind of lunch meat. I vaguely recall eating stuff like that before I became a vegetarian. Btw, if it is like hotdogs, it is probably made with stuff like snouts, lips, tongues, internal organs, lots of fat, and other icky parts of the animals, but ground up so you can’t tell what it was.
