  • Christmas Gifts

I am almost done with Christmas shopping for my wife.  I have bought her a few gifts but I need one more idea.

Give me a good gift idea for my wife at under a $100.

  • Buy her something what she wants.

  • I would love to help, but I don’t know your wife. Maybe a cute shirt or something…

  • I can’t even begin to help you…I am still trying to figure out my own gifts to get….AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

    Is it December 26 yet?

  • Good book or a CD is always a winner. But that’s the cop out gift, a *good* gift requires a great deal of thought and must reflect both on yourself, the person you are giving it too and the relationship you have.

  • while shopping for the holiday, don’t forget where the stuff comes from…

  • I don’t know your wife, so I can’t help you.

  • Gift certificate for a massage?

    Merry Christmas, Dan!!

  • How about a gift certificate for a spa or a restaurant that she likes?

  • Just don’t get a gift certificate! No for somebody close to you, you should know her better than that.

  • Concert Tix

  • comfy silky pajamas!  One NEVER has enough

  • I like the gift card idea for a nice dinner out somewhere.

  • Idk… Yeah, I know that was ton of help. hehe

  • As a wife, I’d love a romantic night with my Hubby…a dinner out…or us cooking dinner together…maybe a movie out or a favorite movie at home…time to talk about anything but the kids and our families…talk about when we met, our dating years, our early life, our hopes and dreams for the future, our love for each other…candles, or a flower centerpiece, a letter or card from him expressing his love for me…and of course, I’d like the night to end in “the bedroom”.

This could happen for under $100. You could make a coupon to give your wife, that she can redeem for this special night! A person’s time is always more valuable than something that costs money. It is the best gift!!!

  • HA!! ^^ The answer above mine is the BEST!!! Love it!!!

  • I personally would love a gift card to Barnes and Noble or amazon.com, but that’s me. Books make me very happy. What makes your wife happy?

  • I like the orgasm idea!

  • LOL…I knew someone was going to say that! Thanks Drakonskyr!

  • A certificate for a massage, spa day, something relaxing.

I have been trying to get one of those for three years.

How many hints does a girl have to drop?

  • How about a full body massage at a spa?  They are wonderful.

  • SHINY!

Okay so it’s a bit over your price range at $150, but you at least have to go  look at it:

I looked at this necklace and the matching ring in person. The color is superbly vibrant, the side detailing is perfect, and you can’t hardly beat the price for the size of the stone!

Otherwise this lovely 1/4 carat diamond circle pendant is actually in your price range at $70:

I must admit though, PollyannaPest’s idea is wonderful.

  • A pampering gift certificate would probably be really appreciated. Or if you are into it, a night out on the town. Gotta love a date night!

  • I think you should take her to a romantic dinner — or even better, plan a picnic lunch somewhere.  I don’t know how warm it is during the winter where you are… but you could always cook a great dinner and move the furniture in the living room, drop a red-checked tablecloth and pretend it’s a picnic.  :]  I’d love that!

  • Day spa certifcate. There’s not a woman (or man) on earth that wouldn’t love a day at the spa. Just put a hundred bucks on it, and make sure she takes a day off of work to use it. :P

  • You’ve already gotten multiple gifts for your wife and your last one will cost up to $100?

    Got any single brothers?

  • http://www.jessicabravata.com for all of your fun, personal needs!

  • PollyannaPest’s idea is a great one! But so is Drakonskyr’s!Bet she’ll love either one of those.

  • Assassin’s Creed

If she doesn’t like, send it my way.

  • Two things, either a spa certificate for a facial and a massage – this gift wins, no matter what.

or get a night at a hotel in the biggest town nearby. I love doing that, keeps the romance burning.

  • Maybe you could stay off of Xanga for one full day and spend the entire day with her.  It won’t cost anything and it would be something she might appreciate.

  • I don’t know a woman who wouldn’t like a spa gift certificate, for a massage or facial or something pampering just for her!

  • Can’t ever go wrong with jewelry and spa gift certificate.

  • there are some high quality vibrators for under $100. I’ve been to East Village enough times to know.

  • I like the idea what Hecalmsthestorm suggested about staying off Xanga for a day.

I might get some stick here,  how about donated some of the money to her favorite charity if you are struggling what to buy her.

  • A plastic ring from one of those vending machines inside the doors at a Wal-Mart.  That should only run you about 25 – 50 cents.

Or you could buy her a box of ammunition.

  • A new mop ‘n bucket?

  • “Save My Face” pillow…www.savemyface.com…get her the small one ($40) it’s AMAZING.  Put it on top of your pillow and it’s the perfect addition, whether sleeping, watching TV in bed (if y’all do that), etc.  Highly recommend it.  :)

  • There is nothing more meaningful than a well thought out gift. Even if you get her something that she REALLY wants like a massage, it won’t mean as much as something that took your time and energy.

surprises are always the best. give her the time like pollyannapest says to. and also, do something a little costly, like the massage or the jewelry.

But most of all, do the romantic. Make her a day-to-day calendar (you know like the quotes ones you can buy at a store) with each day reflecting on another reason you love her, or what you’re looking forward to in your life together, or a fun memory in your past.

Everybody needs a new calendar at the end of the year…this is just one way to spice it up and make her melt.

  • type up “100 reasons why i love you” and then kiss her passionately and give her the $100 for spending money. that`s what i would want. :)

  • Watch Jewlery Television.  You can some fabulous values…and it’s all jewlery.  Hold on to your hat though, I can’t stand the voices of the hosts.  I watch without the sound on.  What a break!!!!!

  • I know you’re near Chicago, so why not a helicopter ride over the beautiful skyline.  I’ve done it, and it’s freakin’ awesome!  It’ll run you between $235 – $350, but if you return all those other gifts you bought her, then this should work out.

Mix in a dinner at the Signature Room (top floor of the John Hancock building), and an overnight stay in a one-day condo rental in downtown.  This part will run you close to $500 extra, so you may want to make this gift a Christmas/Valentine’s Day present.

If the dinner is too pricey, then any restaurant near Navy Pier would also work.  You could walk onto the lake (it should be frozen over in early Feb.) and take some memorable pictures.

  • A pet iguana named Todd.

  • I love photo albums and scrapbooks or anything made by someone else.

  • a coffee table with little coffee set. You could get them from bath and beyond. Or get her foot spa or a bath that she can use repeatedly instead of going to the spa, yet again they are from bath and beyond

  • A new decanter, espresso maker, license plate stickers ($78 to Jesse White is just horrible), tickets to some type of U of I basketball something, vehicle maintenance, GPS, new wine glasses, pajamas, paying off unpaid parking tickets. (This is part of my list btw… ;-} )

  • Before my fiance broke up with me, I asked for a black lab puppy and flowers for Christmas.

  • Dan I believe you are abusing your power by asking questions for person gain.

    Jk

  • serious answer: I like the spa gift ideas being put forth by the other posters. Plus, drakonskyr’s answer is actually pretty good. You could give her a coupon, redeemable at any time for one day of nookie time for the two of you. When she calls it in, you guys can send the kids off to their grandparents, and the two of you can get busy. It will spice things up!

  • If you got any kids Dan,  have you asked them for ideas – if you are struggling.

  • This is one that i went with this year that I think will be liked:

Get a little treasure chest, fill it with cholocate half dollars, then mix in there some of the new dollar coins.  Fun gift that you can easily control the price of.

I have about $100 into that entire project.

  • Put together a photo album of all the really old/silly/cute pictures and write captions about how cool she is

  • Something from PersonalCreations.com ?

They have like message in a bottle things and glass name things that explain the meaning of the name.
Or maybe a picture frame with both your names on it…?
    I dunno.

  • The certificate for a spa day or massage does sound like a good idea–

Let us know what you decide on!

  • A new Swiffer and a few extra boxes of Refills…not only is that nice, but it just re-enforces your expectations. That’s a nice manly gift, Dan. You may want to wear a cup just in case though…cuz not everyone can pull off a gift like that.

  • I don’t know her now do I know what you have already pershased for her. Howvere I do know that alot of people enjoy a cerificate of some sort to a spa….

    Just a thought.

  • I think that for a woman you can never go wrong with jewelry. I recommend a nice pair of earrings. Perhaps her birthstone?

  • I bought myself some comfort pillows at Costco and a faux leopard throw for the couch at Target. The two do not go together so you’d also have to buy some pillow cases for the pillows. What better gift than comfort?

  • A makeover certificate perhaps. A lovely frame with a black and white picture of your wedding day to remind her of how much more you love her today and always, much more personal x

Merry Christmas to you and your wife

  • Diamonds.

You can never go wrong with Diamonds!

  • i don’t know her well enough to give you suggestions… but i would personally prefer presents that are useful to me over a bunch of jewelery or something

take a look at  her life and see if theres anything she could use like a radio on that frying pan or something

  • A pretty bottle of perfume always makes me feel pretty myself. Not too strong, but a light, flowery scent. You usually can’t go wrong with that. “Lovely” by Sarah Jessica Parker is good, or “Flowerbomb” by Alex and……can’t remember the other guy’s name……..Hey, every girl likes to smell good!

  • theater tickets or concert tickets.

  • Make those little “coupon books” that the kids make! And put a gift card in there, too. :] It’d be cute.

I don’t know if she’d like that though. But those are exciting.

  • Something she can pamper herself with.
A lot of women love that shit.
    Ergh.

But yeah, I would go to Bath & Body Works and just get her pamper-y stuff.

  • oh, give her a gold, heart locket! and if you want, put your picture on the right frame and a picture of both of you on the left. and you could get one for yourself too- a dog tag locket. you could buy beautiful gold filled lockets for under $100 at stickyjewelry.com. its really beautiful!

  • Below $100? A nice silver watch from macy’s should be good. =)

  • My mom works in a doctor’s office and is on her feet all day.
I bought her an AMAZING $40 foot massager from Macy’s. I think it was money VERY well spent. Then had one set up to try…it had 2 rotating balls and heated up. I sat down and tried it for like five minutes and felt it for the next 15.
My boyfriend also got one for his mom.

There’s a link if you wanna check it out and see what it is.

But, I’m sure it also depends if she likes that kind of thing.(though most women I know like things like that..)
I plan on sharing it with her. lol

  • It’s hopeless, Dan.  There is no right answer.  j/k

If she likes to get out of the house with her female friends, maybe you could sponsor that activity.  Get her a gift card for coffee or whatever.  Maybe there is a magazine subscription she’d like?  Does she have a hobby?

Whatever you get her, try to do extra chores around the house so that she actually has time to enjoy your gift.

  • You can never go wrong with luxury items….jewerly bath stuff and flowers….never appliances.

  • perfume, pedicure gift certificate, movie passes, wine, pretty nightgown from victoria’s secret w/ matching slippers…..

I could go on if you need more suggestions.

  • A full dinner from KFC (WE EVEN GOT CAKEZ)!

  • I made my boyfriend gifts from my heart =] I took lots of photos of us and made puzzles =] That is REALLY romantic, do you agree? =] I am sure your wife would be. . very loved ^__^

    x0x MK

  • I like techie gifts. Does she have Bluetooth for her cell phone? Mom’s need a hands free thingy if they have kids. I was checking them out in the Sharper Image catalog. Maybe she would like that?

  • Gift certificate for a facial or manicure/pedicure. Gift certificate to her favorite salon.

    Tickets to a show

I have a beautiful diamond cross necklace that was $100- I love it and wear it everyday.

I would like a gift certificate for microderambrasion- that cost $100.

  • a gift certificate for  a professional massage…or trip to a day spa

  • Get her a gift certificate to a salon for a pedi, mani and massage maybe..? Or just a massage.. I bet you’ll get something in return.. wink

  • If she likes perfume, getting her some at a department store where they give you a bonus gift bag with extra stuff is a great gift.

  • MP3 player with something she’s been wanting to listen to but hasn’t had the time

  • Take her to the ballet! Go out for a nice dinner then the ballet and leave the kids at home, and make it a suprise. (well not a total suprise. tell her when and to dress up, but otherwise suprise!) Tickets range anywhere between $15 and $160 (at least here. but I doubt it would be too much different anywhere else, except maybe New York), so it really gives you a wide selection to fit your price range. Beware of the far wings, closest to the front though. you can only see about 3/4 of the stage.

But then I’m also not someone who likes getting gifts. I’d rather spend time with someone I care about while doing something interesting. If you’re looking for an actually straight up gift, then I’m afraid I can’t help you too much.

  • get her a 1 hour massage (or 2 30′s) they are awesome!!

  • My hubby bought me a necklace for my first mothers day with 3 kids.  It had one blue stone, then a pink one, then another blue one.  That is the order my kids were born in.  Anyway, he said it was for The two boys and one girl.  I thought it was sweet.  He got it at Shane and Co. Jewelers.  Don’t know if you have one where you are.

  • simple, special piece of jewelery?  it COULD be under $100
