Mary
This is also a reprint from two years ago:
If you were Joseph, would you have believed Mary when she said she conceived by the Holy Spirit?

if the angel hadn’t come i wouldn’t have
No.
No
LOL. No. But it is a good story.
Merry Christmas!
Probably not..
Depends on what Mary was like really..
That cheating bitch!
I’d probably stone that bitch.
I agree with the first comment.
Not a chance. (sorry Mary)
Not until the angel showed up
I don’t think so.
Sorry to correct you Dan, but it wasn’t Mary that told him that. It was the Angel of the Lord. (Matthew 1:19-21)
But, before the Angel appeared to him, he doubted. That’s probably what you were referring to. So, in that respect, I probably wouldn’t have believed.
mary – “umm, joseph?”
joseph – “yeah?”
mary – “you know how we’ve never had sex?”
joseph – “yeah!”
mary – “well, god made me pregnant”
joseph – “jesus christ!”
mary – “oh, you already know?”
jim gaffigan kick ass
and, no, i wouldn’t believe her
Probably not if it weren’t for the Angel.
Noope.
back then, not sure. with today’s knowledge, though, prob not. there’ve been ppl who have been victims of rape who swear that they were visited by some kind of spiritual entity.
lmao, no way!
Definitely not.
That Jim Gaffigan comment <33
No. Even if the angel came, it still seems a little sketchy.
I actually pondered it for a while when I was in church today. lol
Come on…. would anyone realistically believe that if they were told? I’d be like bitch, please…
Haha. No way. And even if I did believe her, I’d be mad at God for going around with my woman.
If I was the “faithful Christian” I would believe anything.
But I’m not. Therefore no =D
In this day-in-age, no. But if I lived when miracles did happen, then possibly.
Today my sister asked each member of our family which part of the nativity you would be if you had to become a person, animal, or thing from the typical nativity scene. My mom said Mary, because Joseph stuck with her through a lot…he must have been a very good man and she would love for each of us [her children] to find such wonderful husbands.
No but Joseph didn’t believe her either. It took an angel in a dream to convince him
Nope. I would have needed an angel’s visit just like Joseph did.
NOPE
Well when the angel comes how could you not?
No.
But that’s where faith comes in.
Chances are no
No.
If I had the same dream, maybe.
He didn’t and ether would I. I would need to be told that from God himself or really reliable representative. Which is fairly close to what happened
If I had a dream with God telling me about it, then yeah, I’d believe her.
i think so.
it would require a LOT of faith and a LOT of courage.
but considering an angel appeared to me as he did for joseph, i think that’s a valid reason to believe.
I had a muslem friend who told me a different version of the story (which he showed me in the Koran). Jesus was born under a palm tree. Nobody belived Mary was a virgin and she was tormented until the baby Jesus spoke and freaked everyone out with his words. Interesting…
merrychristmas
Ha. Absolutely no evidence, no proof, scientifically impossible unless she is a mutant that reproduces asexually. Hell no.
Uh, no.
I’d be like “You’re a harlot.”
And then DESTROY HER.
Nope, I’d have need the angel too.
no, unless an angel said she did.
“Joe, I’m pregnate. I was made pregnate by God himself!”
“Really….ok, which position did he do you in?”
“Missionary.”
“Liar!! God would screw you up the ass first before he got around to making nice.”
’nuff said…
Of course………..and Merry Christmas Dan
Not without the angel. I would think that would have convinced me, though.
he didn’t, at first. not until the angel appeared to him in a dream. but God chose wise Joseph and not me for a reason.
merry christmas, dan!
Not until the angle came.
PSH NO!
no, i wouldn’t. i’d want to, but i think i’d have trouble. until after the angel came.
Nope.
Not with out the angel, I hate to admit.
no
Like Joseph, only when the angel came.
Merry Christmas, Dan!
At first I was inclined to say “No.” But if he knew Mary well and knew that she never lied, he might have had a reason to believe her.
Nope.
Yes, he was a righteous man
Hell no.
<33
No way. But Mary was also likely not a virgin. Are you guys seriously naive enough to think a married couple never got freaky?
Not really.
nope! not even if i had dreamt about the angel telling me about it.
I don’t know…maybe?
Apparently Joseph needed a dream from God to help him believe it, too.
If my wife had told me she got pregnant by the Holy Spirit when we were engaged, I would have probably not believed her. If I had lived at Joseph’s time, I think it would have been a bit more buyable since the Messiah had not yet come.
no, i wouldn’t have believed her. i asked my husband once, if he would believe me if i were suddenly pregnant when we hadn’t had sex recently. he got really mad and didn’t find the question humorous or thought-provoking at all.
Only by the angel would I have believed Mary’s story.
If i had been visited by an angel yes.
Other than that, whenever girls use that line on me i know it’s over.
no- and God knew this would be so therefore he sent the angel to inform Joseph. no one would hae any reason to believe otherwise in those days- DNA testing was non-existant.
Without the angel telling Joseph what had happened, I doubt that any man would have gone ahead and married her. Anyone put in that situation would have said yes though after being told by an angel that the child she bore was from the Holy Spirit. Those who say no would NOT say no in that situation, reguardless of what you say now. Not something to make jokes about either, but that comes from man’s depraved mind, so yeah I understand why people say no reguardless of the facts.
No.
nope! LOL!
I’d be like, “Hell no, bitch, get out my house ‘foreI stone your ass”
…And then the Angel would come, prove me wrong… and I’d go to Hell.
Nope
not immediately. but remember, he had a vision from an angel. i’d believe that.
Yes, and she would have to be exorcised.
