We are at the time of the year where everyone is beginning to talk about New Year resolutions.
Can you remember even one New Year resolution from last year?

I was reading an article about some of the jobs that the presidential candidates had worked during their life. The article mentioned that Mike Huckabee cleaned glass windows.
Hillary Clinton “spooned the guts out of fish.” Mitt Romney worked in a sewage pipe. Fred Thompson worked in his Uncle’s drag strip. Here is the link: Link
Name a job you have worked.
I mentioned that Mike Huckabee is a former pastor in the post before the last post. I also mentioned that he raised his hand in a debate as a person who didn’t believe in evolution. I saw the debate when this issue came up. Here is a link of that video on youtube: Link
In the post before the last one, I received a comment from la faerie joyeuse. This is part of her comment:
“And Dan, I think the question you should be asking is ‘Would you feel comfortable voting for someone who was a Baptist preacher?’”
Would you feel comfortable voting for someone as president who is a former Baptist preacher?
Guess what type of mystery meat is in this photo.
Edit: They mystery meat is a stack of salami. Here is the link: Link
Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has been in the news because he has been polling well in Iowa recently.
Mike Huckabee is a former Southern Baptist preacher. In a debate back in May, he and the other candidates were asked to raise their hands if they didn’t believe in evolution. He raised his hand.
Mike has said “I believe God created the heavens and the Earth.” Here is the link: Link
Would you feel comfortable electing a president who didn’t believe in evolution?
According to wikipedia.com a troll is “someone who intentionally posts controversial or contrary messages in an on-line community such as an on-line discussion forum or group with the singular intention of baiting users into an argumentative response.”
Do trolls hurt or help a discussion group?
This is Jose Mestre.
His face has been disfigured by a bloody tumor. He is Jehovah’s Witness so he couldn’t have the surgery to fix it because they are not allowed to have a blood transfusion. Now doctors believe they can treat the tumor using ultrasound waves “to coagulate the blood before the operation.” Here is the link: Link
That is not what I want to talk about. I don’t want to talk about whether the boy should have been given the surgery even thought he was Jehovah’s Witness. I don’t want to talk about whether the government should have taken him from his parents and given him the surgery. I want to deal with a more important issue that impacts all of us.
A deaf man was just getting out of the bathtub when he saw police surrounding him. The police had forced their way into his home because they were responding to a reported shooting. The call was fake. The police didn’t know that the man was deaf.
The man shouted, “I can’t hear. I can’t hear.” The police thought the deaf man was “refusing to obey their commands to show his hands.” So they shot the deaf man with a taser. Here is the link: Link
I have noticed a pattern. In this case, it would be easy to point to the issue of the police being concerned about him not showing his hands. (Never mind that the man was probably holding up his towel with his hands).
But it appears as if police are tasing people because they won’t immediately obey their commands. The other day a police officer tazed a man because he wouldn’t immediately show his driver’s license. Here is that video: Link2
Should a police officer taze someone for not complying with his command?
