I think I actually deleted my myspace account on three separate occasions. No matter how much of my time that thing wasted, I kept coming back to it… until I found facebook.

I never get fembot friend requests, I haven’t had that many glitches lately, I don’t get random marriage proposals. With the “redundant clicks,” I don’t get it, because you can go back to your comments or messages once you’ve sent your comment or message, so that’s never a problem for me. All of my friends either have nice layouts – or I don’t visit them.
Number 7 is a pain in the ass, though. Eight doesn’t happen a lot, you can post your contact info – I’ve done it before. You just actually have to type it in somewhere, like in the “about me” or some other spot… heaven forbid. You can delete Tom from your friends list.

I have too many people I want to keep in touch with who are on myspace but not facebook and vice-versa. Myspace has gotten more annoying then facebook, but there are ways to keep bots from messaging you/friend requesting you.

No. It’s where I keep in touch with friends back home. Even if I were to delete it, I’d just do it and not on a specific day. I’m actually against boycott days, such as the gas thing as well. If you can’t do it on your own, then perhaps you’re not ready to do it at all.

I don’t think it will matter either way. There are so many users adding and deleting accounts daily that it wouldn’t matter. Hell, Remy and I were looking at the number of friends on Tom’s page one day. We just sat there and kept refreshing it for like half an hour. The number would dramatically increase, slightly decrease, dramatically increase, slightly decrease… He gained about a million friends in the half-hour that we were watching it. Tom is a somebody, and Simon Owens is a nobody. It doesn’t matter how many other nobodies follow Simon’s lead. Somebodies don’t care about nobodies.Simon is just another disgruntled little nerd who feels that he’s going to make a difference. He won’t make a difference.

Um… as tempting as it is, probably not. I have adblock so I don’t see adds, I don’t get weird friend requests, Tom has been deleted from my friend’s list, and none of my friends care about who has the most friends, my page is set to private, so I really don’t see a reason to delete. Except for the part about people’s layouts making your eyes bleed, but all I have to do is not visit their site to avoid that.

I have 3 different myspace accounts – a personal one, one for a group I run and one for a costuming I’m designing.
I have the option to prevent the profile song from starting set on my private account. I also have the option for adding that only allows people who know my last name or email to contact me for an add.
I only use myspace for networking purposes.

I won’t. I don’t get much spam there anyway……. I pre-aprove comments and use the capcha or whatever is called to weed out the spammers. Works good and my real friends don’t mind jumping the hoops….
