  • Dog or Son

This is two year old Noah Newbold.

    dog attack

His face was scarred by the family dog.  But his mother has said she will keep the dog because her son was responsible for the attack.

The two year old toddler “provoked” the dog by pulling his ears.  The site asked the question “Would you have gotten rid of the dog?”  Here is the link:  Link

Would you have gotten rid of the dog?

  • Holocaust-Themed Float

A Holocaust-themed float is causing a stir in a carnival in Rio de Janeiro.

    Photo

The theme of the carnival floats is “Shockers.”  Local Jewish groups are offended by the float.  Sergio Niskier said, “There are still survivors of that horror who have the marks of that tragedy on their skin.”

The artistic director of the float said, “The float is extremely respectful, it’s a warning, it’s something shocking that we don’t want to happen ever again.”  Here is the link:  Link

Is it disrespectful to have a Holocaust float of this nature?

  • Drawing Six

While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

Now, while doing this draw the number “6″ in the air with your right hand.

Your foot will change direction and there is nothing you can do about it.

  • Jury Duty

Potential jurors were questioned in the trial of a woman who is accused of killing her month-old daughter in a microwave oven.

The jurors were asked how they felt about the death penalty.  They were asked if they could recommend the death penalty under “certain circumstances.”  Here is the link:  Link

If you were being questioned to be on this jury and were asked if you could recommend the death penalty under certain circumstances, what would you say?

  • Child Support

A man must pay child support on a child that he did not father.  An appeals court agreed with a lower court that the man must pay child support.

The man was married to the girl’s mother.  He thought she was his child.  The girl was born in 1997.  The couple divorced in 1999.

The man tested for paternity after his ex-wife made statements indicating he wasn’t the father.  She is now 10-years-old.  The court ruled the man must pay child support because it was in the best interest of the child.  Here is the link:  Link  (Courts will often not even look at the DNA evidence in these cases but only look at what is in the best interest of the child).

Should the man have to pay child support for a child that he did not father?

  • Spy Satellite

A spy satellite is heading to the Earth.  It will hit the Earth in February or March.  Here is the link:  Link

    SELENE lunar satellite

The satellite is 10 tons and is about the size of a bus.  I guess this means our missile defense system that we have been working on for 20-30 years still doesn’t work if we can’t take out something that is the size of a bus with all of this advance warning.

This has caused some to wonder if the old team should be put together.

    armageddon

I think there is another option.  There is the team from Space Cowboys.

Who do you trust to save us, Bruce Willis and his gang or the Space Cowboys?

  • Hijacking Your Account

A 15-year-old girl had her myspace account “hijacked.”  A few of her former friends knew her password and posted on her Myspace site “sexually explicit and hateful content.”

Her mother warned other teenagers that they could avoid the same attacks “by remaining vigilant and keeping their passwords to themselves.”  Here is the link:  Link

I must have been lucky because about 30-40 different people have had my password for my xanga at one time or another in the last 3 years.

How many people have had the password to your xanga?

  • President Hillary Clinton and the Race Card

I believe Hillary Clinton is going to beat Barack Obama in the race for the Democratic nomination.

I believe that Hillary and Bill Clinton are using race to beat Barack Obama.  How are they using race to beat Barack Obama?  They are reminding you that Obama is black.

    art.2134.obama.ap.jpg

A short time ago, Barack Obama won the Iowa Caucus.  Iowa is a state where 93% of the people are white.  Immediately the media picked up on the idea that people were able to look past the fact that Obama was black.  He would be like Oprah or Michael Jordan.  He would step above race.

But then Bill and Hillary decided to point out that Barack was black.  The strategy wasn’t subtle.  They raised issues that highlighted that Obama was black.

Hillary Clinton made a comment about Martin Luther King.  She said, “Dr King’s dream began to be realized when President Lyndon Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It took a president to get it done.”  Here is the link:  Link  This has been reported as a mistake on her part.  I don’t believe it was a mistake.  I think she did it on purpose.  I think she was raising the race issue on purpose.

Bill Clinton predicted that Obama would do well in South Carolina because of the race issue.  He said, “They are getting votes, to be sure, because of their race or gender. That’s why people tell me Hillary doesn’t have a chance of winning here.”  Here is the link:  Link  In fact, Bill Clinton projected that Obama would win the South Carolina primary and suggested it was related to the racial makeup of the state.

Bill and Hillary have as a strategy to turn Barack Obama into the black candidate.  A campaign manager of Hillary suggested that Obama would get labeled as the black candidate:  “Clinton campaign strategists denied any intentional effort to stir the racial debate. But they said they believe the fallout has had the effect of branding Obama as ‘the black candidate,’ a tag that could hurt him outside the South.”  Here is the link:  Link

Do you see what the campaign strategists is doing?  She is making a suggestion that Bill and Hillary have been making all along.  It will be subtle but they think there is advantages to having Obama looked at as the black candidate.

Obama was winning in the polls going into South Carolina and the Clinton’s needed to make an excuse in advance of why Hillary would lose.

Notice a statement of Bill Clinton after the South Carolina contest.  Bill Clinton compared Barack Obama to Jesse Jackson.  Bill said, “Jesse Jackson won South Carolina in ’84 and ’88. Jackson ran a good campaign.  And Obama ran a good campaign here.”  Here is the link:  Link

So what were the headlines coming out of South Carolina?  “Strong black vote lifts Obama over Clinton in S.C.”  Here is the link:  Link

I want you to watch Bill Clinton and Hillary very closely.  I want you to watch how many times they make references indirectly or directly to Obama’s race.

The media played right into Bill and Hillary’s plan.  They are discussing race.  What the media should be doing is asking whether it was appropriate for Bill and Hillary to raise the issue in the first place.

I believe that Hillary will win the nomination and I believe that neither Bill nor Hillary is a racist.  I think they will simply do whatever it takes to win.

  • Dating

Do you tend to date people more attractive than you, less attractive than you or equal in attractiveness to you?

  • Inherently Better

The following question is from Merriej

Do you believe that any one person can be inherently better than another?
