  • A Threat

In my last post, I quoted a written comment that someone left to a teacher on an evaluation sheet.  Here is the quote:

“Joe Disponzio is a complete a**hole (edited). I hope he chokes on a d*** (edited), gets AIDS and dies. To hell with all gay teachers who are terrible with their jobs and try to fail students!”

Now the guy didn’t say he was going to kill him.  He said he hoped that he would choke while performing oral sex and that he would get AIDs and die.

    Was that a threat?

  • Anonymous Course Evaluation

A student filled out two anonymous course evaluations for one of his courses in college.

    DISPONZIO

The student was critical of the teacher and his sexual orientation.

The student wrote “Joe Disponzio is a complete a**hole (edited). I hope he chokes on a d*** (edited), gets AIDS and dies. To hell with all gay teachers who are terrible with their jobs and try to fail students!”

Then on a second evaluation he wrote “Joe Disponzio needs help with his issues dealing with homosexuality. Fags are not cool and neither are ney [sic] yorkers.”

The school hired a handwriting document examiner and determined which student wrote the evaluation.

The school said that the anonymous evaluations wouldn’t always remain anonymous.  They said, “When a report is made that indicates a violation of law or policy, the anonymity may be waived.”

The student was not kicked out of school but was punished.  Here is the link:  Link

Do you think it is fair to hold a student responsible for what he wrote on an anonymous course evaluation?

  • Angelina Jolie’s Lips

Apparently women are asking doctors who perform plastic surgery to make their lips to look like Angelina Jolie.  Here is the link:  Link

Are big lips attractive on a woman?

  • Xanga For Life

One of my friends got a xanga tattoo on the back of her hand.  Here is the link:  Porcupinesol

Do you think you could ever get a xanga tattoo?

  • Friday Night on Xanga

Do you feel like a loser spending your Friday night checking your Xanga?

  • Email

Should your spouse have the password to your email account?

  • Cancer Treatment and Pregnancy

A mother named Lorraine Allard was pregnant when she found out she had liver cancer.

She had the choice to abort her baby and receive chemotherapy or wait to get her treatment until after she had her baby.  She decided to have her baby.

She began her chemotherapy after her son was born.  But it was too late.  She died two months after his birth.

The mother is described as “courageous and selfless.”  But she left her new child and three other children behind.  He had three daughters;  Leah, 10; Amy, 8; and Courtney, 20 months.  Here is the link:  Link

Was it selfless to leave 3 children behind in order to save one?

  • Man on Mars?

This is the photo that has caused buzz:

This photo was taken from the rover Spirit on Mars.  People think it looks like a man.  Here is the link:  Link

Do you think that is a man on Mars?

  • The Homosexual Gene

A short time ago, a person left a comment on my site that went something like this:

“If homosexuality is genetic, why doesn’t homosexuality die out?  Homosexuals cannot reproduce so if it was genetic, it would have died out.”

If homosexuality is genetic, why doesn’t it die out?

  • Medical Marijuana

Gary Ross was fired from a telecommunications company after he flunked a company drug test.

Medical marijuana is displayed in Los Angeles, August 6, 2007. ...

Gary Ross had a medical marijuana card that authorized him to use marijuana to treat a back injury.  But the California Supreme Court ruled that the use was illegal under federal law.

California voters voted to legalize medicinal marijuana use back in 1996.  But the U.S. Supreme Court “declared in 2005 that state medicinal marijuana laws don’t protect users from prosecution.”  Here is the link:  Link

Do you think that a guy should be fired for using medical marijuana when the California voters voted to make it legal?
