Swimsuit
I was reading an article about Kate Hudson and her being in a swimsuit in a movie.

She mentioned that she is only in the bikini for one shot. She also mentioned the fear of being in a swimsuit and having it recorded forever: “Aaaggh be on film for the ret of your life in a bikini.” Here is the link: Link
Would you feel comfortable appearing in a movie in your swimsuit?
Comments (94)
Yes.
If I was a woman with a body like hers, hells yeah.
Ha! Not really, look at the trunks I’m in on my post now ROFL
Well, at least she looks good.
I’d be a lot more comfortable today than a year ago….let me rephrase that: if it were summer…..
Right now I’d have to be in Australia to be comfortable in ANY swimwear!
With her body…ABSOLUTELY.
I would not feel comfortable appearing in a movie just in my swimming trunks
I’d feel comfortable, but it would kill the movie.
Yes but no one would want to see that movie.
/shrug. I dunno. I’m pretty OK with my body… dunno how many other people are, though
Not so much, but then I’m an overweight, out of shape 54 year old. She’s not!
On the other hand, if they paid me handsomely for the appearance, I certainly would do it.
Not so much.
Considering that I once aspired to be a porn star…
No. Yes. Maybe.
I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Um….only if I was underwater!
Of course! I would just demand they surrounded me with people who aren’t very sexy so I look okay in comparison
Boy that movie poster looks horribly photoshopped…whoever did it did an awful job.
If I looked like Kate I would ALWAYS be in my bathing suit. lol
Yes, I don’t care. If I am ever in a movie and they ask me to be in my swim suit sure why not.
Heavens no! Not now anyway…but when I was 20…yeah!
I wouldn’t be comfortable anywhere in a bathing suit.
If I looked like her, sure!
If I had a body like Kate Hudson’s, hellz no. I would show it off.
I mean, hellz yes, I would show it off. Lol
I wouldn’t particular feel comfortable in a swimsuit, no.
As is, I would first have to GET myself a swimsuit.
Last time I went swimming. . .was over a year ago.
And before that the last time was a few years earlier in a Glacier lake.
hahahahahaha…… not if I had a body like hers!
If I had her body.. Dang.
not to be comfortable with how yr body looks? that’s quite insecure i think.
what’s “the fear of being in a swimsuit”? wow…
i’m sure she feels great about it being on the cover
I don’t know what I’d be doing in a movie, but it wouldn’t bother me. Not too much, anyway, because I’m pretty much okay with my body. :]
Like everyone else said, I would if I had her body.
ROFL
No, not at all. Even IF I had a body like hers. Which I decidedly don’t. So even more so in this case.
I wonder if that is really even her body in that poster? Maybe it is a perspective thing, but it seems like her head is too big or something.
HA HA.. yes, especially a BIKINI.. ha ha
Why not, I’m not built as well as she is, but you can find pictures of me in one on my site. If I was embarised to be seen in a bikini, why would I wear it in the first place?
If I looked like her, heck yeah!
Like this? Only if it was a storyline of the bathing beauties of the 1920s…
Now, if I could just work out a little more…
No, and I can’t believe that’s the best photo they could get of Kate Hudson. I don’t think it’s very flattering.
I’m not comfortable wearing one to begin with, sooo…
when i was young maybe but at 43….not on your life, movies are supposed to be a pleasant experience
Didnt you know…? I was an extra in Norbit..
Not if it was that suit!
I would be so incredibly uncomfortable.
If I had her body, sure.
Haha, well probably. Not in a tiny bikini though, something a touch more covering.
I don’t feel comfortable in a movie to begin with, let alone in a swimsuit.
I wouldn’t feel comfortable appearing in a movie, period. However, once I’d been forced into it, wearing a bikini wouldn’t really make things any worse.
LOL I don’t think anyone would pay good money to see me in a bathing suit…
I wouldn’t be able to do that, kudos to her for being able to be in her swimsuit.
Oh yeah…but I would be the soft and ample middle aged woman in the background that no one would even notice.
That’s Kate and the PR attitude. Kinda makes you “want” to take a look see at what she is talking about. Forget about her body, her mind is right on the money!
wouldn’t see it under the fat rolls. lol . JUST KIDDING!
Nah, my fear would be over exposer of the film because of the white skin. But that wouldn’t really be a problem would it?
Sure-
being a guy if i give the standard “if i could have her body” it would take on a whole new meaning… so i’ll pass on the obvious joke and say i would do it for the money. i if i got paid what they get paid i would do one of those nekky ass shots they do every once in a while.
then, when people came up to me and said “hey, arent you that ugly fat out of shape guy in that movie?” i would say “no, im that ugly fat out of shape RICH guy in that movie.”
No but then I’m not a walking skeleton like her.
Oops for some bizarre reason I can’t explain I was thinking about the wrong Kate so forget my last comment. Hell if I was her I would have no problem at all.
Honestly, I would hide behind a surfboard.
I’m nothing impressive – am I the leading man or a supporting actor? I’d need some time at the gym to be a worthy leading man (unless they were going for an Every-man effect).
Uh, in a movie, no. But there’s no danger of that ever happening.
I think I would have been o.k. with it about 15 years ago (if they’d had all the fancy sunless tanning products back then).
If I was that skinny, no. She looks like a barbie doll! sheesh
yep
If I didn’t look ugleh.
Somehow I don’t think that Fool’s Gold will be remembered for very long at all.
yes… because I am fat
I don’t think I’d really mind.
No, I have mild anxiety attacks just shopping for a swimsuit.
I usually come home with a large pizza instead.
i wouldn’t have a problem with it.
but then. ego’s not an issue with me.
I hate swimsuits. I haven’t gone swimming or worn a bathing suit in years.
Not if I looked like her!
Heck yeah, the clumps of hair on my back go well with my pasty white skin and black speedos
It’s been years since I appeared in public in a swimsuit. I don’t like to see myself on film when I’m fuly dressed.
interesting for her to say …
If I had a body like that I would! With my body, I wouldn’t go be in a movie until I lost 30 pounds and got a six-pack after working out hardcore w/ my trainer!!! Ask me again in April . . . thats when I hope to have the perfect body!
I haven’t seen myself in a swimsuit in almost a year, so I’m in no position to answer. Guess it depends on the swimsuit…
Oh god, no. I’d be cast as the random ugly annoying fat girl.
I don’t see why not! I am comfortable with my body. I don’t have a perfect hourglass figure, but I am comfortable enough in my own skin not to think I need to have one.
With Matthew McConauhey at my side – YES!
i wouldn’t be uncomfortable at the time of the shooting.
i just fear it will cause self esteem problems for me as i age. i would hate looking at how young and [not be conceited or anything] NICE my body is, and then compare myself all the time to that height of beauty for my body. especially with a body like kate hudson’s… remember, once you’re at the top, you can’t go anywhere but down…
Is a wetsuit a swimsuit? If so, I wouldnt mind.
if i looked like that? yes
no… it would be weird…i don’t even own one right now
in high school musical 2, all the girls wore tankini’s or one pieces
Sure. I would know that I’m probably in the best shape that I’ll ever be in, so it’s not like I’ll look back on it when I’m 50 and think “OMG I was so fat!” or whatever.
Besides, cinematography is so much bigger than personal insecurities.
Disclaimer: this movie does not necessarily employ any elements of the art of cinematography.
Actually, I’d wager that it employs none of them.
kate hudson sure has nothing to be insecure about! though knowing that someone’s gonna see more of your skin anytime is a pretty uncomfortable thought.
i’ve seen the commercial for this movie a couple of times (and i still don’t really know what it’s about) and that mcconaughey dude seemed to be comfortable,
considering he was shirtless 99% of the commercial. wonder why he’s not going “agh, shirtless in a movie for the rest of my life!”.
if i was more built, i’d think i’d pull through with it, considering some million people will watch it and i’d get alot money for doing it.
but aside from media, no matter what the physique, anytime in a trunks can be comfortable to me.
If I had Kate Hudson’s body, hell yeah. I’d want as many bikini shots as possible:)
HAHAHA uhhhh sure…… if the company is willing to make 24$ it’s first week
Absolutely. Especially if I was in her shape at the time, because then when I’m 80, I can look back and go, ‘Wow! I used ot look great in a bikini!’
Not only no, but heck no!
I wouldn’t feel comfortable in a bikini on a secluded beach!!
Oh the perils of having children….:P
I hate being in public in a swim suit. When I was 15 and tiny I stayed in a bikini all summer, but alas my bikini days are over.
sure! but then again I’m a summer girl and like the clothes better
I sure would! I’d be perfectly comfortable!
if i had her body, and i get to see how it gets edited into the movie, yes.
No, I don’t have the curves as she does.
