i’m pretty sure that the fact that i am posting second validates my statement.
I just blended.
I still want to see Raiders, even though this one was so awful.
No one thought they were cool in high school!!!
I think I just blended in, for the most part.
I was cool, fool!
We had a very small school and everyone knew everyone… so there was no where to hide. we all got labels… I’m not sure what mine was, but I probably had one… I had friends from every group and liked being a drifter…
I guess I just blended in, although I was a nerd at heart.
Band Geek/Hippie.
I was neeeeeeeever cool.
blended
None of all those things.
blend in the crowd. This was a step up from Nerd in Middle school.
I blended so well I think no one knew I was there at all.
Nerdy football player. More like a surpise nerd.
But you don’t question the biggest, strongest football player, even if he *is* ridiculously geeky.
I’m still in high school, but I’d say I’m one of the well-known-likeable-coolish-nerds. =)
I openly confess to liking to play video games, read, draw, write, and listen to Japanese bands..but I actually have a lot of friends of all different social groups.
Maybe it’s just cuz there are some nice people in this town?
i wasn’t cool or nerdy. but a lot of people knew me at school.. even those i didnt know. o_O
I blended in with the nerd crowd
cross between blend and nerdy at the moment…
I’m waiting for someone to bring up the “we shouldn’t label people” argument. I was going to, but then I thought that would be too nerdy
Band geek!
Well, I was in band so some might say I was a nerd. But I would say I just blended, I definitely wasn’t “cool”.
Geekish.
i’m in middle but i’m between cool and the blended, but into all the neardy thing out there except startrek
Which High School?.. I went to soooo many schools. Mom and Dad didnt know what we went through moving around all the time..SO…. I was ALWAYS “The New Kid” sigh*
@nidan - Half the kids in my school think there cool when there not
Don’t know yet…I’m excited to find out when I start this fall. WOOOOOOOOOO
Somewhere between nerd and blended.
I didn’t go to high school….O.O
but among my friends and the people who knew me, I was cool.
Define “cool”. Is anyone in high school really cool? All us nerds thought they were total losers for thinking they were cool…
@XfantomcatX - wow. you’re lucky. My school is filled with cliques. It’s kind of like your stereotypical highschool movie. (mean girls, jawbreaker, etc. )
@saxy_grrl - in alot of cases the “cool” people become the “losers” later on in life.
Band Nerds Unite! (That’s what we are at my school, not band geeks. The computer geeks took the geek name.)
(D) none of the above. I was too small, short, and had, have, a heart condition which prohibited me from being athletic. I was never popular at all. I had too many friends a life to be considered nerdy. Plus, I wasnt just another kid in high school so I never really just blended in.
I was the outspoken Christian teenager who was given the nickname of “Pastor Phill” my senior year.
too cool for school!
Blended or nerdy. Not sure.
-Anna.
I’m still in high school and supposedly I am a freak. Lol. No shame in that, I guess.
I thought I blended. But, I think I was cooler than I thought at the time.
Go figure.
I was a nerd, but damn well proud of it!
I tried to blend in, but growing up as a home schooler and then showing up at high school events, I sorta stuck out like a sore thumb. Not in the cool or nerdy way either.
Middle of the road for me…but I was still cool. Eh!
I was a Band Geek – still am.
None of the above – I was the respected loner, neither accepted nor rejected by any group.
i was a complete nerd/geek/dork. i was a music and drama geek and i used to tutor people in the breaks becuase i understood things before everyone else. total nerd!
i do find the picture of kierra knightly as being “cool” quite offensive though hahaha
Cool doesn’t exist at my school. Â It’s a strange backwards universe. Â
I think I was pretty average in high school.
i was all three. honest. that’s just how public schools in sf are.
Until my junior year, I was a nerd. We moved every year – I never went to the same school two years in a row. My junior year I decided I was tired of being a nerd, cut my hair, ditched the horrible glasses (which would be ultra fashionable now), finally got the braces off my teeth and blended in at my new school. I got along with all the different cliques, but never felt a desire to join any of them. I was very happy to graduate and move on.
Blend
I was myself
Band geek/rebel.
Us band geeks pwn ass.
Are those all the categories you can come up with? What about all the choir/ band/ orchestra/ speech/ debate/ theater jocks?
The cheerleader who got stoned.
Ha, HUGELY nerdy.
The crowd blended into me.
I was/am the intimidating punk chick.
Blended.
I was in between nerd and blend into the crowd…
i blended but most will tell you that i was “cool”.
When I was in highschool I was an outcast. I didn’t belong to any cliques at all, except for the rest of the outcasts who were ostrasized by all other cliques. My anthem in school would have been…
I’m a creep I’m a weirdo What the hell am I doing here? I don’t belong here
And my peers made me aware of this each and every day.
I was a nerd, but I always had a lot of friends.
I’m a cool nerd. -__-; perhaps just a nerd.
i blend in
Both nerdy and cool.
I blended in with the cool nerd crowd.
nah, I was homeschooled, soooo I don’t think I count.
I blend. Plus a lil bit nerdy cuz I openly admit to liking High School Musical and Hannah Montana, I suppose. Most people just know me as that girl who does the weather on the announcements.
Stoner. But the cool kids liked me anyway cuz I was funny.
I was the class individual hah
so far im all of the above. XD
I’m a sophomore in highschool, but I analyzed myself and I’m pretty sure I’m all three. but mostly cool and nerdy. and blending in with the crowd. oh, boy.
geekish. still geekish. i’m going to read some batman now…
blended into the crowd
None of the above..
Why are those three the only choices?
I’d say I’m between nerdy and blended. Although, I’m still in middle school. ^^’
NERD!
But at my school even the cool kids are really smart and get really nerdy somtimes. It’s kinda nice, actually.
Some may think it isn’t possible as a JOCK, but on the basketball court I was a hero ands well liked, but get me away from Basketball I was considered kinda nerdy I guess…well, just a goober like now. Being 6’10″ was great for the basketball court, but not so great off the court…especially when you are a gentle giant. I guess people felt good about themselves that off the court they could make fun and ridicule me and not be pounded in the ground. That was me, be nice to everyone.
Band Geek to the core…and weirdly enough, at my school, that was a pretty cool thing to be.
I blended into the wall – AKA wall flower. I wasn’t really a nerd or a cool kid…not a goth or jock, punk or skater. I wasn’t really part of the crowd. I was just there. In the library often, or hanging out with a friend. I was a floater. Unable to be contained in a category. I rock just that much.
Well, during high school nerds were pretty cool Hmm…I wasn’t really cool, but I didn’t care. I didn’t care much for the nerds but I guess I identified with them more. I always thought I was just me, so I don’t think I blended. So if I had to choose, I’d still say cool nerd who didn’t blend
Freshman-definitely nerdy… by the time I graduated I was more towards the popular end of the spectrum.
Kiera Knightly = cool? Everybody knows coolness is measured in Fonzies…
i was mad cool.
yearbook staffer who was friends with everyone. i think i understood the value of networking at an early age.
wall flower here. faded into the background unnoticed by anyonre.
I’m sort of above blending in, but not completely cool yet. Most people know who I am, and I’m fairly well liked, but being cool is like, 95% of the school knows who you are and likes you, I’d say l’m at about 75%
I was a total nerd – probably queen of the nerds!
I was an art nerd… hung out w/ all the “freaks” who smoked accross the street… we stood out in the crowd
I was a well-known nerd.
i just blend in the crowd. neither here nor there. only stood out because of sports. but basically everyone just left me alone to my own devices…
I didn’t blend but I didn’t fit into one type of group.
I was in every group!
Who were YOU in high school, Dan?
…I tried to blend, but it didn’t work as well as I wished it would…I still got made fun of.. Luckily though, not enough to be remembered. *whew*
giant nerd. I once even had to tape my glasses at school (the horror!!)
Cool, and nerdy
Not really anything. In middle school I was nerdy and that kind of carried on to high school even though I’m not like that at all anymore, those who knew me in middle school still have that impression of me. To those who didn’t know me in middle school but are like the rich popular girls, I am just someone that blends in the crowd. And to people within the music department, I’m cool. So it all depends who you ask.
I guess out of those choices I would have to choose blended in with the crowd but it really isn’t a very good description.
I was a blender =(
I wasn’t in any of those 3 crowds.
I’m pretty sure I blend in now. That or I’m a nerd, but eh, more power to me. xD
I blended in with the crowd even though I was friends with some of the “popular” kids in school, or at least they pretty much know everybody! -LoL-
A blender.
i’m neither nerdy nor cool and stick out pretty profusely. artsy oddball?
Total band nerd.
I blended in with the crowd
I blended into the crowd back in high school. If I went back there today for a reunion, everyone would be terrified of me. lol I went from being shy and quiet to just plain creepy.
I was a part of the wall. No i was not popular and the cool thing is now that we are all in our 60′s, all of the pretty people are all old and wrinkled too.
I’m still in high school… lol.
i’ve been described… mostly by myself as “colorful”. and that doesn’t mean I’m gay.
geek. but a likable geek.
neither. i was loud and rebellious.
I’m just awesome. I’m in my own category. [:
Somewhat blended in AP/choir dork.
Nerd. But I run the world, so it is OK now.
i was a cool nerd =]
I was a cool kid while maintaining my geek/indie sensibility.
All of the above – depends what day, what mood, what year I was in. lol.
not nerdy, cuz nerdy is sort of compliment these days, I was just plain weird. inside and outside. now I am just weird inside and only a few ppl know
I had a little bit of cool, a little bit of nerdy… so I think that means, I mostly blended. =)
a cool nerd! ;D
A Cool Geek that Blended in
I don’t think I blended cause my school was kind of small so almost everyone knew each other, but I floated from group to group (didn’t have a click you could say) so I wasn’t nerdy or cool either.
I saw myself on the nerdy end of the scale. Even though I was on drill team and dating a football player senior year…
Overall, I was the nerdy type, but I did jump from clique to clique quite often.
None of these.
an inbetween!
I hung out with the cholo gangbangers… i had big hair..
I was a Nerd with cool tendencies! Given that I played drums and rugby (thankfully, not at the same time) it was ignored that I was also computer geek number 1.
given that I was homeschooled, I couldn’t very well blend into a crowd. So….yeah, nerdy. Nerdy’s good.
blended…but was my own person and didn’t care what others thought…
i was the weird punk girl, though the other kids would say goth. senior year i became a nerd.
I am an outcast of every group hhahaa…and the friends i hang around…we are all actually different from eachother..
Its fun to not be in any group
Except…people keep telling me im emo, goth, chav, scene…
I blended in except in chorus, where I had my own niche.
None of the above. The girl who was crazy smart, and depending on the year, either stuck-up teacher’s pet or semi-cool. I’m getting better. Of the options, it’s probably closest to nerdy, but I don’t think that describes me right at all.
I guess NERD… I always found it hard not to be in a group. I was either in the AP kids group (some, never all of my classes), the smart group, the choir group. I never really clung to just one group but I guess Nerd would define me the best since I did well in classes (mostly A’s and B’s, am more introverted, and do consider myself pretty smart – though not enough of course to get any scholarships for college!!! urg.)
I blended into the crowd in high school. ^_^ Along with being nerdy. Hehe.
i guess i’m kinda a “cool dork”.
I have friends in lots of diff groups, but i’m in the “smart” classes and a BIG band geek…
My crowd at the later half of high school were the stoners, so that could have been part of my label even though I wasn’t one. But I was one of the “smart kids” and I have the summa cum laude medal to prove it.
Yay me.
Everything that made me a total nerd in high school has made me cool ever since.
I blended right in
none of them..
I was well-known, but not well-liked. even my “friends” trashed me behind my back.
i blend in and get along with everybody in my school but mainly because i play sports.
I was the nerd that the nerds didn’t want to be around.
I basically blended in. Haha.
I was cool. Very popular, BUT I was friends with everyone. I didnt just hang out with my softball friends, my basketball friends, my emo, my nerdy, my dumb, my jocks…..
I hung out with everyone.
I thought you were more mature than classifying people like that.
I was a Hottie- But was not aware of it….
I was none of these things. Why? I’m not in high school! lol. I can tell what I will be though. Way too different for words.
Cool
I was an in-between. I could work with most anyone in school. I tried to see both sides of everybody. It wasn’t always easy, but I think I liked where I was at.
It’s not cool to say you’re cool.
blend!
I was a sexy nerd that blended in
c(__) Cool nerd that blended..
I just blended into the crowd… and was very forgettable…
Nerd with way too many connections and a mouth.
Still in school, I can say I don’t think I blend in with the crowd. Not choosing from your labels, I’d say I’m the responsible one to trust.
None of the above.
Not to sound conceited, but I am pretty well known in highschool, and i’m friends with A LOT of people at our school. so i’d say cool.
I was nerdy… definitely. But I wasn’t SUPER nerd or anything… I had friends, did extracurriculars, all that.
I blended
I “thought” I was cool. Then I found out that “cool” wasn’t so hot!!!
Becker
nerdy and blended :/
all.
I was a cool nerd. I was valedictorian, teacher’s pet, graduated with honors, but I was also Prom Princess……..Nerds rule! Yeah!
Blended all the way. I’d say eclectic, but really, I don’t think anyone noticed me.
i like your photo blogs… and the fact that you ask for ppls input it is always nice to think my opinions are read and regarded
and i was neither I considered myself nerdy but ppl would say I was too cool it was weird and I think I influenced ppl unintentionally …hum… maybe highschool wasn’t so bad
None of them. I was quite, polite, did what I was told, and no one really notice me. If I have to choose I’ll say I blend right in the crowd since no one notice me.
I was a nerd, and I still am. :B
I was none of those in high school, I was myself, I had people who loved me and people who hated me… I was a “Goth” but got into cheerleading at some point! I was myself and I always will be myself!
I was kind of nerdy. I was in the top quarter of my graduating class and had the neatest (as in cleanest) locker in my class. I did not go to parties (at least not to parties thrown by people from my school), football games, or even the prom. I was not as popular with the ladies as the jocks in my class were. *whips out a violin and starts playing a sad tune*
i am definitely in the nerdy/geeky/dorky half of the student body, but i am by no means an extremist
I had no label. It was awesome.
One a guy I was talking too was shocked I hung out with my friend Andy. He said “Andy ****” you hang out with him? But he’s a nerd.” I was surprised he didn’t consider me a nerd. But I wouldn’t mind being called that. But in highschool I was mostly a half stereotype. You know that couple that’s always togehter and seems to lack the ability to separate that every school has?

I would guess that of someone with “hippie” in the screenname and “Daria” in the Xanga icon. =)
Blended in with the crowd I guess. There weren’t groups and cliques like that in my highschool so everyone blended in with the crowd.

I’d say eclectic, but really, I don’t think anyone noticed me.
i like your photo blogs…
and the fact that you ask for ppls input
it is always nice to think my opinions are read
and regarded
and i was neither
I considered myself nerdy but ppl would say I was too cool
it was weird
and I think I influenced ppl unintentionally
…hum… maybe highschool wasn’t so bad
But he’s a nerd.”
I was surprised he didn’t consider me a nerd.
But I wouldn’t mind being called that.
But in highschool I was mostly a half stereotype.
You know that couple that’s always togehter and seems to lack the ability to separate that every school has?
