it makes me uncomfortable to watch a homosexual couple kiss, but only because it’s something i was not exposed to at all until recently. i don’t mind it; they have the right to do whatever i want. i support gay marriage, but i’m still uncomfortable seeing them kiss. i’m sure i will be more comfortable with it as i witness it more.

I don’t look at it like that. Normally when I see two people kissing, I think it’s cute as long as they arn’t half bent over the nearest object, with their tounges shoved down eachothers throat. Less and less people will be bothered by it as time goes on. It’s like everything else and needs it’s period of adjustment.

No, the kind of kissing that makes me uncomfortable is when two (drunk…most likely) heterosexual girls start kissing eachother at some party to get attention. Kissing, as a sign of affection (not PDA type, but maybe some cute smoochies here and there), is not an offensive act to me be the couple same sex or not. Kissing, to let the world know how much of a slut and attention whore you are makes me want to slap a bitch.
I do feel a bit awkward watching homosexual couples even though I don’t see anything wrong with their right to marry and live like any other couples. Perhaps I need to be more exposed…S.F. here I come!

I’m glad you didn’t get really irked with me, as I certainly didn’t mean it to offend or anything. I think that what it really boils down to, for me, is that I like to really get to know a person and when I stop by your site I never really feel that I’m getting to know you, or could get to know you … because your blogging style is different and less focused on yourself and more concerned with letting other express their thoughts through you. I’m guessing that this could be the reason some people are negative towards you, or suspicious of you, or even [heaven forbid!] jealous of you.

Really depends on the kiss itself rather than who is kissing. To be perfectly honest, I’d rather watch two gay men kiss than two gay women.
It doesn’t bother me to see straight or gay people kissing. The only time public kissing bothers me, is when it starts turning into something that could be taken to a more private place. I think it goes for anyone, that they should carry a certain level of respect for those around them when it comes to PDA.
I’ll admit to it being a bit strange around where I live, but it never makes me feel uncomfortable. It brings a bit of a smile to my face to see it, though, considering I’m usually one of those girls that everyone stares at because she’s kissing someone of the same sex. =]

@Krissy_Cole - It’s one thing when we are talking about kids in a public school. School is for education, not for hooking up. However, it’s quite another thing when we are talking about 2 consenting adults. Personally I have no problem with PDA between 2 consenting adults. In fact I think we need to see more PDA in this world as opposed to all the other negative stuff. But then again, I am a hopeless romantic.

No, not really, it’s a relative situation though. I feel embarassed when I witness intimacy that leans toward physical stuff, but I kiss my son, grandson, sisters, brothers, and friends when I greet them. One of my barristas threatened me with a lawsuit if I denied him the right to kiss his boyfriend in front of my customers. Sometimes I just have to say “yes, I understand, it’s hard to be in your position, feeling like the whole world is against you, and no, you may not kiss your boyfriend in front of my customers any more than I would kiss my boyfriend in front of them”. I have noticed a trend: sometimes intimacy doesn’t seem intimate anymore. Sometimes it seems like a seedy novel brought to life.
Here is my order of comfortability:
(1) Heterosexual Kissing – Normal
(2) Lesbian Kissing – Oddly Attractive
(3) Gay Men Kissing – Repulsive!
I have often wondered why I find two women kissing to be attractive but two men to be repulsive… lol, one time I was at home with my mom (conservative like myself) and two women were kissing on the TV. She asked me if I found that attractive and I said “no”. I always wonder what she would have said if I said “yes”.. ha ha. I dont tell lies usually but I didnt see any other way out…

It has never bothered me for people to kiss, no matter if it is male-female, female-female, of male-male. It does not bother me. I am straight, full out, but I understand people have different feelings for different genders. It is a persons choice, decision, and in my opinion, their right, to kiss who ever the hell they feel like kissing, whether of the same or opposite sex.
