“Pro-Life” drugstores have been popping up across the country.
The “pro-life” drugstores do not carry certain contraceptives. Some do not carry birth control or Plan B and some do not even carry condoms.
Pharmacist have been running into conflict with pharmacies over the filling of prescriptions like Plan B. So some of them have opened up pharmacies where they can stock whatever items they want. Here is the link: Link

Last night I posted in the issue of “Race and Crime.”
I linked an article that gave a hypothetical situation. Here it is:
“Say your wife’s car runs out of gas in the middle of the night in a desolate neighborhood. She has no idea which way to walk to find a gas station. However, if she walks one way she has to pass by a half dozen black youths lounging on a corner. If she walks the other way, she would have to pass by a half dozen Indian immigrant youths. Which way would you prefer she went?”
I want to change this situation just a bit.
Imagine your car broke down in the middle of the night in a desolate neighborhood. Imagine you have to walk to get help from a gas station. Imagine in one direction there are a group of black youths. Imagine in the other direction there are a group of white youths. (Imagine your cell phone doesn’t work).
Do you walk towards the black youths or the white youths?
A man in prison has won a civil rights case over his diet while in prison.
The man was sentenced to life in prison after he was convicted of beating his 5-year-old son to death. The man is a Buddhist and said the prison was violating his “civil rights by denying him a vegan diet.”
The prison had offered him a “standard vegetarian diet.” But he wanted the diet to exclude “all animal products, including eggs and milk products.” Here is the link: Link

It is time for someone to stand up and state the obvious.
Black people commit more crimes than white people. I was just reading my favorite site that pointed out that “blacks are imprisoned on average 9.1 times as often as whites.” For too long we have been hearing that this is because of racism.
But everyone is afraid to point out the real problem. It is time that black people started taking personal responsibility and stop committing crimes.
If it was a racism issue, then the high imprisonment issue would be focused on the Old South. But the imprisonment issue is worse in some of the most liberal parts of the country. Take Washington D.C. for example. Blacks are 56 times more likely than white people to end up in prison in Washington D.C. Here is the link: Link
It is time for someone to stand up and to be unafraid.
We need black people to stop committing all of these crimes.
It is time for black leadership to stop complaining about black people in prison and for them to communicate a message of obeying the law.
I was reading an article that was exploring the idea of whether teenagers considered it cool to be pregnant.
The article mentioned Jamie Lynn Spears and her pregnancy. The article also cited the movie “Juno.”
But the focus was on 17 teenager girls who are expectant moms. It is being reported that the teenage girls made a pact to get pregnant together.
A psychiatrist was quoted as saying that the pregnancy of Jamie Lynn Spears and the “Juno” movie may have played a factor in the pact the girls made. Here is the link: Link

As I mentioned in my pulse update, I walked into the daycare where my wife used to work and I got the attention of the children and told them “Barney is dead.”
As I mentioned in my pulse, it was my wife’s last day of work so it was ok to tell the children that Barney had died.

President Bush is pushing Congress to end a ban on offshore oil and gas drilling.
The ban includes waters along the East and West coasts. With gas at around $4 a gallon, support is gaining to use domestic oil and gas.
Some Democrats and Republicans oppose lifting the ban because they are “fearful that energy development could harm tourism and raise the risk of oil spills on beaches. Here is the link: Link

The Lutheran Church in Germany is considering electing their first gay bishop.
(This is not the gay bishop. He is just a google bishop).
