President Bush approved the execution of a member of the military today.
It was the first time a president had approved the death sentence for a member of the military in over a half-century.
Ronald A. Gray had been “convicted in connection with a spree of four murders and eight rapes.”
A member of the military cannot be “executed until the president approves the death sentence.” Here is the link: Link

An anthropologist conducted a two-year study and found that self-deprecating humor was the most successful way for a man to seduce a woman.

I was just talking to kestryl on IM and we were talking about close friends. I told her that a friend told me she had 6 close friends. I thought that was impossible. Kestryl told me she had 8 close friends. I told her I didn’t think it was possible to have more than 2-3 close friends at a time.
Can you have 8 close friends at one time?

I was just reading Obama’s prayer.

A jury has awarded a woman $150,000 in damages after her fiance broke up with her.
She sued him for breach of contract because she says she gave up her life and career for him. She also said, “He changed his mind for no good reason.” Here is the link: Link

I was reading an older article about a 14 year old boy who killed another person.
The author of the article was discussing the issue of whether a 14-year-old boy should be treated like an adult in sentencing. An adult would normally get a 30 year sentence for the same crime. The lawyers in the case were hoping for a lighter sentence because the youth involved was only 14 years old. Here is the link: Link
