Kind of… I just want it to be over with and to find out who wins. I’m rather impatient.
Yes!! Xangans please stop posting about it!!! PLEASE!
YES
I’m too sick of it to thoughtfully answer this question.
I was sick of it a long, long time ago.
not just yes, but H*LL yes…
I was sick of the elections when Bush won AGAIN.
>.<
I’m sick of hearing about it.
I’ve been sick of it for a while.
I just want to vote and get it over with. We’ve been hearing about the candidates’ stances on various issues for months now. Although, I would like to hear the two VP candidates speak. I know a little about Biden and how he thinks, but the only stuff I know about Palin comes “media investigations” and not actual speeches.
I JUST THREW UP. HOPE IT IS NOT MORNING SICKNESS, CUZ I WAS JUST ASKED TO RUN FOR QUEEN OF ENGLAND.
it just got interesting….
but i wish it were over…. it’s killing me-adieu, stace
Absolutely.
But, you know, the more we blog about it, the more change will start happening!!
Oh, wait, no…I mean the more we blog about it, the sicker we’ll get of it, and the petty shit-slinging that’s already going on will just get worse.
Newsflash, Xanga – you’re not going to change anyone’s opinion, and in most cases, why try to make someone feel horrible for what they believe in? That goes against every side of the spectrum you could claim to support. So shut up, do your research, and vote in November. That’s the only thing you can do that’ll do a damn bit of good.
I’m not sick of the election, I’m sick of the politicians involved in the election. Can we get new ones to dissect into million pieces? A redo perhaps?
Nope. Here at college I am a bit more isolated from news because I don’t have a TV. Rahahahaha…
@StillChris - I don’t think there’s a running for Queen. Unless you’re talking about like…Drag Queen of England.
since the day it began
YES…very sick. And the media and “regular” people have no real reasons to be dissecting the candidates.
Palin-she’s a “bad” mother and should be home with her down’s syndrome baby and pregnant teenage daughter McCain-he’s old Obama-he’s black (and Muslim-though it isn’t true) Biden-well, I haven’t heard anything about him yet, and that might mean there is hope for the Democratic party.
If maybe I saw more valid issues with them than invalid ones, I wouldn’t be as sick of it as I am.
Yes I am. I can’t wait to just vote and get it over with.
It’s just getting interesting now.
yeah — they start this race too damn early. Also, i’m sick of the 2-party system, of that woman’s face, of Obama’s voice, of Mccain’s name, and FOX news. I’m not sick of parody pics though.
I’m more sick of the Kaley/Casey Anthony storey.
I just don’t watch TV, I get all my news from your blog, actually.
it’s getting worse than american idol… seriously…
@whitetrashpoet - Darn those Xangans voicing their own opinions on their own blogs! Darn them!!
i think it’s quite interesting…
nope, because the Daily Show is my news source, and the more media screwups and speech gaffes there are, the funnier my nights.
YES
Actually, Dan… I think I’m tired of you posting about Palin!
My god yes.
I’m even sorry I wrote about politics. Now my site is blowing up with these political zealots who are completely out of touch with reality and human suffering.
I’ve got a right mind to delete the post…but part of me still wants featured.
@UberGoobah - Actually, it was more like “Darn those Xangans who start little ‘debates’ in the comment sections of someone else’s blog, when it’s obvious that no one is using ANY factual material whatsoever, and they’re just arguing for argument’s sake, and it’s quite obvious that either party would consider you detrimental for their image.”
Not so much as I am sick of seeing her and her pictures everywhere. So she’s a relatively pleasant looking 44-year-old. Get over it. She only looks appealing because all the other women in office look like old hags. I am so sick of her, just how I was so sick of Beyonce years ago when Destiny’s Child was still popular. Get. Over. It. People.
I LOVE the election. Seriously. I love politics. I love the issues. I love both candidates this year as both bring something totally unique to the table.
To live in a country in which democracy is a peaceful and (most of the time) successful process is amazing. I embrace it.
P.S. I certainly believe that the Republican party dropped the ball with Palin. Dont they have background checkers that would have realized what a scandal this could potentially be?!?
To both of you… wow. I really hope you are not serious. I just wrote a super long post about the election with facts and figures from crediatble sources. Stop being so jaded and appreciate the world you live in.
Those who say that we should not participate in the debate process are ruining democracy and the intention of freedom of speech. We cannot afford apathy for another four years. If you cannot find importance in this election, then I feel sorry for you and your misguided complacency.
@innerblondness - I do support educated opinions on politics. But if you don’t see the ugliness it brings out in people LONG before the election even takes place, I feel sorry for your naivete. I know this election is important, and I have been following everything with as open a mind as I can, but I know that few people will do the same while multitudes will take bits and pieces from what they hear and use it in ridiculous arguments.
I thoroughly enjoy a good debate with a person well-educated on the topic, especially when our views clash radically. But VERY few people can do so without getting petty and rude. And it’s disappointing, and it’s everywhere. Sorry that I’m jaded about it, but can you seriously blame me?
YES! Let it be over NOW! >.<
@innerblondness - And I’m not apathetic, I’m just appalled at the common person’s political views, regardless of party. I’m overjoyed when I meet someone who can discuss the issues and explain their view; I’m disheartened when I meet someone who doesn’t care at all, or who doesn’t have the slightest goddamn clue as to why they’re voting for whomever they chose.
I’m sick of seeing this women surely
I’m sick of hearing people put one another down in the commercials. Ahhhh! Yes, I’m VERY sick of it.
@innerblondness - I’m happy to see that you posted factual information, I’ll be sure to check your’s out. I’m tired of reading people’s posts that are completely fiction. I’m trying to learn and make a good decision for my vote. I don’t want to read immature non factual posts in attempts to sway my vote. I’ll go to a credible source before I use Xanga.
@whitetrashpoet - I dont blame you at all for being jaded. I just feel sorry for anyone who does. I understand that it is not your fault that we have to be bombarded with news regarding the election- even those that are not relevant.
I just think it is terrible to ask people to stop talking about the election. Even if they are not well-informed, just give them the benefit of the doubt and move on. I am happy to meet anyone between the ages of 18-25 who has an opinion, period. I am happy to get into a debate, even if it is with someone so set in their opinion that it is painful.
I am certainly not clueless when it comes to this election, or the last one either. I know what my generation faces in terms of the future. While we cannot make a difference by blogging (in which my blog is just a personal one, not one intending to influence or even publicize any of my ideals), I think it is beneficial to put on paper what we feel and see, even if misguided. Uninformed bloggers are the least of our worries at this point.
Thank you. If you need a source site, let me know. I actually wrote a paper on this for a political science class about issues that matter most to me in this election. If you are still undecided about which candidate to support, I strongly suggest looking at the washingtonpost.com’s article I cited in regards to issues. I paraphrased a bunch for sake of length, so clicking on the link will lead you to the whole source.
Nah. I never got to go to the circus much as a child, so this is great entertainment.
I’m not sick of the elections. I think it’s interesting to learn how this country is run, how we pick our leaders, and how many people can be swayed by the liberal media into simply accepting a candidate based not because of their actual merits but by whether or not they’re a “minority”.
YES!!
Can November get here already?!?
you have no idea
I’ve been sick of it for about a year now.
YES!
I only want to hear a debate between both sides.. that is all
Better question: how many times have you put this picture on your site now?
Yup…
I’m sick of all the FUCKING SARAH PALIN on your blog.
Haha, you just got all excited because I said fucking Sarah Palin…and you aren’t. Hahaha.
@xxmissbettyxx - I’m glad to see you say that. I have made that same point about the media’s approach to this campaign and how willingly people accept all of it. I’ve been called a racist every time I’ve done so. Once, it was even my Aunt called me a racist but she is left-wing nutcase and believes the media is overly conservative so it didn’t bother me too much.
Actually became re-excited with the news of Governor Palin’s selection. I’ve known about her over a year and known about her reputation for integrity and attacking corruption even from within her own party. I’ve been saying for a while that she was headed for bigger and better things, and was glad to see that John McCain agreed.
I am getting sick of the sexism and religious bigotry coming from the Democratic Party. It’s not surprising, as this is how they treat any woman or minority who disagrees with them, and how they treat evangelicals in general. It’s still sad that people who hold themselves as so open-minded can resort to hate so readily.
SUB-QUESTION:
Are you sick of Dan posting pictures of John McCain’s running mate because he wants to bang her?
Jimiry
A hearty and emphatic yes!
Yes
@mrcolorful - The media exists to protect the interests of those in power. It is nonpartisan.
@xxmissbettyxx - Oh, wow! So that’s why people support Barack Obama! Because he’s black! It all makes so much more sense now.
@whitetrashpoet - Why wouldn’t you discuss someone’s opinions? Not all opinions are based on fact. Who made the world? God? Oh, OK. Love the factual proof on that one. Why not mention your own opinions in regards to someone else’s? It’s your little corner of the internet, do what you want with it. Anything you make public on the internet eliminates the right to bitch about someone voicing their own opinions about your opinions.
Yes, yes, this election ceased to be fun ages ago.
@UberGoobah - I know. Okay, how about asked to be a running mate for Ralph Nader?
@JimiRy - If the media is non-partisan then please explain to me why they can never say anything positive about any Republicans but fawn over Democrats? If you ever watched the news objectively then you would see that the media is heavily biased in favor of Liberals.
This election is scary. I don’t claim to know everything, but jeebus, there are some kids on Xanga who took a political science class or two and think they know everything. I wish the Olympics were on again. In fact, I wish we could just decides who wins with a good old trampoline jumping competition. Maybe a power-walking race.
Are you sick of Dan posting pictures of John McCain’s running mate because he wants to bang her?
that’s a hell yes! how many pictures can u put of her? no offense, but she’s not that HOT.
I only just started paying any attention… no thanks to YOU! LOL… This sums up my feelings pretty well.
I get tired of talk radio hosts yakking for days on end about the same topic without any new information coming to light. But I’m still interested in the campaigns.
I’ve been sick of the election for about ten years now. It has been at least that long since the idea of Hillary Clinton running for president came around. Besides, didn’t McCain try to get the GOP nomination in 2000 and lose it to Bush? This scenario has been around for a very long time. Let it end five years ago.
Actually, I’m more excited about this election that I ever have been for others. I may be ready for the Palin talk to die down (I know, says she who just blogged about her) but I think the McCain/Obama run here is gonna be pretty exciting.
her kid has down syndrome? her genetic lifestyle is affecting my decision to respect her as the vice president of this new millennium. plus mccain reminds me of charlie brown. and now, yes im sick of the election crap. I feel like obama knows hes going to win but he isnt done yet; and i dont want to see him stress out before hes even elected into office, he’s getting older with this election, hes too sexy for this type of streessss… NOVEMBER WHERE U AT!
Yess’m.
Freddie Cantu has been playing the exchange student card for weeks now and I think he’ll make a terrible student body president.
I was sick of it the day it started!
Not anymore.
i’m only sick of stupid conservatives
Haha! But the election never ends! When November comes by pundits will start talking about the next election, and the next and the next until your head explodes! Mwhuahaha!
I thought your title said “erection”
Are you kidding me? This is just getting started. It’s like the playoffs!
Yes. After Hilary dropped out, I could care less.
Not really.
I just want to know more about Biden and Palin, to be honest. I know very little.
YES
Yes and I loive in SOuth Africa
Elections are fine. I’m just sick of Barack Hussein Obama Jr. and his lies.
Eternally. And it’s been what, 4 days since Palin was announced as VP nominee? And I’m already tired of her name.
Republican John McCain, whose running mate disclosed that her unmarried 17-year-old daughter is pregnant, has opposed proposals to spend federal money on teen-pregnancy prevention programs and voted to require poor teen mothers to stay in school or lose their benefits.
What a freakin shame………
I am sick of blogs about the election, but I know it’s only going to get worse.
Very much so. But more tired of family members, friends and co workers wanting to debate.
It might help if you quit talking about it…I expect full coverage of the Canadian Federal election.
Oh my gosh, yes. I can’t wait until this is all over. I don’t want to hear about it, talk about it, think about it, I just want it done.
I like that her daughter is pregnant. I mean, I don’t like that she is a teen and pregnant before she is married, but I like that it adds a little girly drama to the election rather than just all that normal political stuff ( boring!)
I’m sick of never having a candidate worth voting for.
I’m sick of everyone always pretending that there’s any meaningful difference between the Democrats & Republicans.
I’m sick of everyone using the terms Democrat & Republican when, if they had an ounce of intelectual honesty, they’d call themselves Socialists & Communists.
Yes! And a half!
Yep yep.
No, I’m excited and looking forward to a new presidential team. I think the stock market will go up because of people’s illusions, and I will get out of that ridiculous form of gambling once it does. I just hope I can do so before the total destruction that this country is headed for.
yeah .. and i am not even american
I am very sick of it. I’m also very sick of that woman’s policies already. I’m not so sick of her face, though…
I’ve been sick of it since it started.
I’m absolutely sick and tired of it. I can’t wait for this nonsense to be over!
YES!
It’s easy to become tired of the election due to early coverage and overcoverage by the media. The primary system, in general, has devolved into a media event. That’s why the national conventions have become (likewise) Hollywood productions rather than a serious gathering of delegates aimed at forwarding a platform and choosing candidates for high office. The issues have already been decided via circus. And, resultingly, the campaigning never really stops.
This is bad because it discourages citizen participation. Good citizens DO get tired of all the frenzied and (often) biased reporting nonstop. They become disgusted with the scandalmongering and drop out. This leaves the more radical, distructive and/or indigent elements with a greater voice, because they will turn out in greater percentages.
That’s why I’m in favor of scrapping the primary system entirely and returning to the more responsible and dignified system we had before… grassroots citizen participation starting in the precinct conventions and working up.
@JimiRy - It’s not just because Obama is (HALF) Black, it’s also because Hillary Clinton is a WOMAN! I don’t think that race OR gender should make a person more qualified for such a position, because in the end a person should be judged on an individual basis, not by what demographic they belong to.
@mrcolorful - Of course you’re racist. I’m racist too, apparently. Just because I don’t believe in giving people hand outs because of their race/religion/gender/etc. A person is a PERSON, no matter what they look like on the outside, and ALL people should be held to the same standards. A person should be the very best they can be, no matter who they are or where they come from. Black, White, Red, Purple, to me it’s all the same. Black people and White people are still PEOPLE, and THAT is what should really matter.
And you’re right about the media. That’s why I don’t watch much TV…I get most of my news from Fox Radio.
@slowlydisappearingforever - maybe those girls should have kept their legs crossed! This girl made a choice, and now she has more choices to make because of that. She could have remained abstinent, or at least used protection. She chose to forgo those options, and now she is going to have to deal with the choices she has made. I applaud her, however, for choosing to keep her baby and raise it properly.
Aye. I don’t watch TV, and even then..D:
YES
I’m not even American and it absolutely bombards our media
You know how federal elections are in Canada? There is currently talk that in about 5 weeks time we might be hitting the polls. There will be a couple of weeks of heavy political coverage and like that we have a new Prime Minister.. none of this election BS that lasts well over a year
@xxmissbettyxx - Yeah, its sad that we are considered racist for thinking everyone should be held to the same standards.
It irritates me that Obama is using Martin Luther King Jr. as a talking point because from everything that I know about MLK Jr. he would be much more on our side in this debate. He worked for equality not for the coddling of blacks.
Nahh. It gives people things to talk/argue/complain about. They can even talk about how they don’t want to talk about it!
Is that a picture of Stephen Harper?
yes, seeing that you’ve posted this picture quite a lot. Hahaha
Also, claiming that you don’t trust the media, then declaring in the same breath that you only trust FOX radio, is just… beyond irony.
i’ve been sick of it since the first people started running…at that time i was working in a political call center.
Yes.
Ive always been sick of it!
yes . i`m absolutely sick of the media watching over the candiates like hawks . who CARES if palin`s daughter is pregnant ? isn`t there other underage teenage girls getting pregnant ? and ooh , palin`s husband got arrested ! it was 22 years ago !
well , there was my rant . i`m going to go watch cnn and see if there`s anything on about the candidates now . . .
If there was actually a point in electing, I would be sick of it. Considering the proven fact that at least 33 of the American Presidents have been related DIRECTLY to the British Royal Family, including the last five, there isn’t much purpose in voting. It’s education (un-education) that pisses me off.
I hope they start discussing issues. Really. Like, what about the looming Social Security crisis, on top of the tons of annual national debt currently being racked up, and the tons of interest we have to pay every year.

@mrcolorful - NBC endorses Obama! Runs away*
This election is scary.
I don’t claim to know everything, but jeebus, there are some kids on Xanga who took a political science class or two and think they know everything.
I wish the Olympics were on again.
In fact, I wish we could just decides who wins with a good old trampoline jumping competition. Maybe a power-walking race.
yes!
@JimiRy -
SUB-QUESTION:
Are you sick of Dan posting pictures of John McCain’s running mate because he wants to bang her?
that’s a hell yes! how many pictures can u put of her? no offense, but she’s not that HOT.
I only just started paying any attention… no thanks to YOU! LOL… This sums up my feelings pretty well.
I get tired of talk radio hosts yakking for days on end about the same topic without any new information coming to light. But I’m still interested in the campaigns.
@mrcolorful - mm! not so much.
YES, ugh.
Yes. Good God, can it be November now?
Yes.
for a while.
I NEVER like elections, simply because it’s all a bunch of bull talk by both sides…I was being very nice in the way I described it!
yep. so tired of hearing about it!
Oh yes. There’s too much negativity, I’ll still vote, but I refuse to smile while doing so. lol Boo!
Looks like a rhetorical question.
@TearsKeepAFalling - It’s the new Paris.
@DrugInducedDuck - LOL
Hahaha
@xxmissbettyxx - I see you missed my sarcasm.
Holy God, yes.
Not quite.
