I usually bought a test when I was a day or two late. . .Except once I think I stocked up at the dollar store, so I’d have them on hand.
Now that Papa Bear’s been “fixed,” I don’t have the impulse to go get one if I’m a day late.

If I don’t have it for another two weeks, then I am going to go get it checked. I am having all of the physical symptoms like cramps and everything and mood swings, I’m just not bleeding. This happened to my cousin and she had to go to a specialist and they did a sonogram of everything. Of course she was having sex so she thought she was, but she wasn’t. So I’m really hoping I have it soon because pap tests are sooo embarrassing. And I really don’t want to get probed. But if I have a period, I’ll be thankful. I’m pretty sure it’s me stopping the birth control. But it’s possible that it could be genetics if this is the type of thing that could be genetically transferred. My mom would have periods for 3 weeks and off one. But she was infertile. So I have no idea. She doesn’t get why I’m wishing for one. Lol. But I really like my periods. It bugs me when I don’t have them. So I want it. I just have to wait two weeks because that is when my cousin is back in town and I would feel more comfortable if she went with me.

It partially depends on the person. With my first pregnancy, I was on birth-control, got pregnant, did not miss a period so it was a big shocker for me when I found out I was pregnant after I had the miscarrage.
But with my son, I had taken one test a week because I was trying to get pregnant and I was missing periods after periods. ( i have up to 4 a year most of the time). Some women do not produce the hormone needed to activate the litmus in the test. I sure as hell didnt. I found out I was pregnant when I was 3 months along. The doctors had me down at 2 months…..mainly because they would not listen to me.
I would say, if the person is regular and not on BC, a week after her missed period. A week because sometimes stress can cause her to be late. If she is one that is not regular,and not trying, she needs to see a doctor for blood tests and possibly getting on the pill. If she is trying, I would say, once a month and continue to have fun tryin.
