  • Vice President

The talk in the news is about the vice president debate between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin.

(The posting of the two photos above was not meant to be read as an endorsement for Joe Biden as vice president).

If you were running for president, who would you want to be your vice president?

    Joe Biden or Sarah Palin?

  • Joe Biden for sure.

  • I don’t care, just not Sarah Palin.

…wait, that just leaves Joe Biden x]

  • NOT Palin.  So Biden.  Even still I like Biden quite a bit, though I think my hate for Palin outweighs her being a VP anytime…

  • Is neither an option?

  • Neither. I would do their job in addition to my own and make double the money.

  • neither,,, but then neither would i run for president,,, i am running for king tho btw,,, vote mejicojohn for king of north america,,, we can straighten this mess out.

  • loll
    uhmm biden for the job
    publicity-wise would be palin

  • Eh, niether really. But I suppose I’d rather pick Biden over Palin just because Palin kind of scares me, and I’m a fairly conservative person

  • what id need would be a queen,,, palin,,,, well,,, needs to be hotter than her,,, queens have no power anyway,,, and biden,,, hahahahahahahahahahaha,,, i dont think so.

  • ill take applications,,, send naked pics,,,, uh,,, female only please.

  • I think this is a tricky way of finding out for whom we plan to vote!

    Kathi

  • I see what you did there…

  • Ah, but it IS an endorsement for Palin… sigh.

Biden. I can’t wait to see him make her look like the house plant she is on Thursday.

  • What does the VP do anyway? haha

  • Biden is a wimp! I think Palin is gonna wipe the florr with him on everything. Palin is real, Biden is fake! I still would have prefered a Thompson/Huckabee ticket, hopefully Palin will straighten McCain out on some things

  • Definately Biden. 8 |

I prefer McCain kind of over Obama but Palin just sucks pluck. :c I’m sorry.

  • @AirForceVirgin - I think it’s gonna be quite the opposite!

  • Joey the Shark, fo’ sure.

  • Silly question.. Biden. Hands down.

  • Well that depends. If I’m running for the President of the Home Owners Association or the PTA then I would want Palin.  But if I was running for President of the United States I definately would want BIDEN.

I have some debate questions for Palin:

Are you smarter than a 5th grader?
So, you think you can dance?
    What would Jesus do?
    Paper or Plastic?
    Patriot or Pinhead?

  • Frankly, neither. I would have taken Hillary.

  • @UnworthyofHisgrace - We shall see! But if it’s anything like the Katie Couric and Charles Gibson interviews… woo, I’m in for some more laughs!

  • @UnworthyofHisgrace - LEt’s be honest.  You would have preferred a Jesus/John the Baptist ticket.

  • I think you should just put a thought bubble over the head of your profile picture disclaiming that the photographs you post do not represent the views of TheTheologiansCafe blah blah blah… you know, like when TV Networks post controversial things and then quickly cover their asses, just in case.

It seems easier than repetition, although not quite as funny. :)

  • @TomasekBride - Ha! I wouldn’t call Thompson and Huckabee Jesus and John the Baptist, but hey, Jesus and John would clean house for sure  I’d just like some leaders with some morals and some actual values ya know. Leaders who are interested in the people, not their legacy

  • He chose Sarah so he could have a barbie working beside him…

  • @UnworthyofHisgrace - So, What would Jesus Do in response to the financial crisis?

  • @AirForceVirgin - I guess maybe if their questions had some importance maybe, but the questions they asked they themselves prolly had no clue exept for what they were told. Those anchors don’t find the answers themselves, they just take the word of who tells them. The Bush Doctrine…what the crap does THAT have to do with anything and plenty of other stupid questions that were asked along with the WAY they were asked. It’s SOOO obvious they are just looking for anything to trick her .Sure, ask questions that she doesn’t need to know to help run the country

  • I’m sure there’s a list somewhere… Let me get back to you.

  • @TomasekBride - Since I’m not Jesus…or God I would have no clue. If I did, I’d run for Pres. You can bet it all that God has it all planned out and there is nothing man can do about it. So I’ll vote and see how things happen. It doesn’t matter who wins the debates or the White House, there is no way to please everyone. There is always someone who gets shafted when someone else makews it big…it’s called selfishness of man, Thats something God or Christ wouldn’t have to deal with. They just speak and it’s done

  • Definitely Palin.  By the way, I liked that endorsement statement……

  • I’d choose Biden, because shooting animals from a helicopter is not honorable in any way.

  • Neither. Joe Biden would undermine me at every opportunity and constantly stick his foot in his mouth. Sarah Palin would take attention away from my own candidacy and from the issues I hope to raise with her flashy celebrity, and frankly I would like someone much smarter than her running by my side.

  • @UnworthyofHisgrace -

#1: I absolutely think their questions had importance.

#2: The anchors don’t need to know the answers: they’re not running for Vice President of the United States. She is. As a side note, most anchors are highly intelligent. They have to think on their feet to respond with follow up questions from their interviewee’s answers. I don’t see how their intelligence is relevant to the situation, though.

#3: The Bush Doctrine states that we are allowed to preemtively strike another country if we have intelligence that there will be an attack on us. That sounds pretty important for the VP of the US to know. Especially since McCain is 72 years old, and unexpected things happen to the elderly all the time.

#4: Katie Couric was trying to find out exactly how being situated geographically next to Russia helped her foreign policy experience. Because as of right now, she has none. If being situated “near” Russia gave her some, than by all means, we should give her credit. But it does not.

  • HAHAHA!  “not meant to endorse Biden” with no mention of Palin!  Classic!

As for who I would choose, since Biden can hardly form a sentence without lying I would have to go with Palin over the walking sideshow… just saying.

  • I take those pictures as an endorsement of Palin.

I would never run for President, even if I was old enough.  But hypothetically, I pick neither.  Though my political stances are pretty close to Palin’s.

I want to watch the debate.

  • @DBF21 - Don’tcha know?

  • Without a doubt, Palin. But, I would never run for president. lol

  • Biden.  I’m already a young, attractive female, AND I’m more traveled than Palin.  Plus I couldn’t stand all the obscene creationism and abortion shit.

Best take someone who contrasts me.  Biden’s fairly moderate, relatively speaking.

  • @la_faerie_joyeuse - For that matter, I’m younger AND more attractive than Palin, too.

Why aren’t I the VP nominee?

  • Palin, mostly because of her beliefs.   Not Biden because his an idiot.

  • Palin for President!

  • I’m surprised they’re letting Palin out in public.

  • @AirForceVirgin - #3 If this is a rference to Palin not knowing what the reporter meant by “Bush Doctrine”, then that is because Bush has a lot of doctrines on a lot of things.  Clarification was important to state WHICH doctrine was being addressed.

#4 The problem here is that much can’t really be said about it.  The Gov. of Alaska is privy to certain information due to it’s location and certain strategic defenses within the region.  This can’t be expounded on for obvious reasons.  While this experience may be limited in scope, it is experience all the same.

  • Biden? Anyone who knew anything would pick the lesser evil. Palin makes me want to vomit my innards with her amazing sense of not knowing anything. She represents America’s stupid side.

Hmm… That leaves us Biden fo’ sho’.

  • @Legendairy - Limited, as in, “Yeah, Russia is that way.”

  • @la_faerie_joyeuse - obscene means offensive to morality or decency…what is “obscene” about creationism and what abortion shit are you talking about?

  • @AirForceVirgin - Not exactly.  More like actual strategic knowledge and the authority to exercise some of it.

  • The one with the most experience with Foreign Affairs.

  • @siennachartreuse - So then I guess you want McCain for president and Biden as Vice?

  • @elvish_fairy - So are you saying that I am stupid?

  • @RaVnR - Maybe you could put her in a concentration camp?

  • Biden. He has done great things for Delaware and hopefully he can bring it to the national level.

  • @TomasekBride - ”UnworthyofHisgrace - So, What would Jesus Do in response to the financial crisis?”

    Who would Jesus abort?

  • No. I didn’t say that.

  • (The posting of this comment was not meant to point out that there are more than one persons depicted, and Joe Biden is merely one of them.)

  • I think that “Not Palin” is getting more votes than Biden and Palin put together…haha.

Where can I see videos of this “Not Palin” character?

  • if mccain had chosen mitt romney, i would have gone republican. palin is too young, too inexperience. when was the last time mccain let her off the leash and talk to reporters on her own??

a dream team would have been mccain and bloomberg.

  • I’ll go with Biden. Palin scares me.

  • A lying plagiarist or a rookie? that is a hard decision. But since you are voting for both a plagiarist and his boss the rookie, you should have no problems making this decision

  • @Creed_of_Kings - YOu have GOT to be an asshole.  Who would Jesus Abort?  Is that your idea of some great Christian ha ha joke?  I’m a Jew.  You know.  What Jesus really was.  Well, I am not held hostage like some of you Christians are to the inability to live and let live (kind of like Jesus did) but yet I get to become HOSTAGE to your extremist religious views/ideology if Gramps and Bambi get elected.

You make me physically ill with your question.  You should be sent to hell for that.  And I don’t even believe there is a Hell.

Shit.  IF you want an answer to that stupid-ass question.  Who should Jesus Abort???? YOU.

  • Ed Koch. Or Dennis Kucinich. Or Clay Aiken. Anyone else, really.

  • Dan, you have uninformed children as most of your sub’s.  They need their time to be Liberals, afterall it is the least taxing on their limited thought process.  Once they become productive members of our society they will realize the errors of their ways……….in answer to your question, I want Sarah Palin

  • But you are endorsing Palin? But she has cooties…
And she’s a dumb, incompetent bitch.
    That, too.

Yeah, Biden has a tendency to put his foot in his mouth, but who doesn’t?
    Just not that hoe.

  • @RdKingClassic03 - And we simple Liberal uninformed children want you to not vote.  The Jesus you asshats proclaim is a nasty SOB by your actions.  IF you represent him by your actions, words and deeds, then he must be a horrible spirit.  Don’t you realize that is how it comes across to those of us who by your ideas are “lost”?

  • Joe Biden, then I would chase after Sarah Palin in a helicopter with a rifle.

  • @TomasekBride - Thank you for proving my point……..you have no tolerance and no grasp on reality.  Please continue to spew your ignorance……and for the record, Jesus still loves you, even if you are dumb.

  • Palin without hesitation.  I’m probably voting for Obama though…

  • Definitely not the bald guy with the hair plugs and the big mouth that runs without a brain.  I’ll take the moose killer.

  • Palin

  • Biden…no contest.

  • Yet another blog entry with not even a thimble full of content.  Time stressed, Theo?

  • Biden is sexy.

  • He will destroy her. This is a ridiculous question.

  • I think Palin holds her own- she’s got about the same credentials as Teddy Roosevelt (not to mention a good number of his ideologies), more than Calvin Coolidge and definately more than Harry Truman and I’m not aware of any executive experience on Biden’s part.

that should help put things in perspective…

  • All Palin is, is a pretty face…..

    Definitely Biden.

  • Neither, thanks.  If forced to choose, I’d go with Biden.  I think he’s a nitwit, but he probably has some useful friends in the Senate.  Perhaps we could come through with some bipartisan successes, no matter how insignificant.

  • @AirForceVirgin - Agreed!  I think Palin has an IQ of 95 TOPS.  I’m surprised if she knows how to read.  She’s totally stupid, which is dangerous considering what a powerful religious fanatic she is. Anyone who says she’s smarter than Biden hasn’t seen any of his interviews or her interviews.

  • @ficklemistress - ABSOLUTELY. I plan on writing a blog the day after their debates. No doubt it will be a comedy– I’ll use her quotes!

  • My rock collection would make a more effective Vice President than Governor Palin.

The problem with Biden, is that as talkative as he is, if he were ever to get drunk, I’m sure he would blow up.

  • You have got to be kidding. No, really.

Biden, absolutely. Sister Sarah is definitely NOT qualified in any way, shape or form. Use your head, People!

  • @BeKa28 - The idea of teaching Creationism in publicly-funded science classrooms is obscene because it, quite simply, affronts everything science stands for.

And the abortion stuff?  I’m opposed to government restrictions on what I do with my own body.

  • I could be a better VP than that Piglin woman (piglin is my nickname for her). So definitely Biden.

  • To Hell with the whole lot of them.

I really cannot say this strongly enough: To Hell with all of them.

  • Given a choice between the very competent Palin and the incompetent Biden…I dunno…this is a tough one…

  • joe biden knows more than i do, so i’d let him be VP.  and i’d just sit in the chair and look pretty while he told me what to do.

oh wait.  isn’t that the current administration?

  • Those for Palin are scary people. I think men are not seeing past their………….!   (eyes)

  • PALIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • if i had to choose between those 2 it would have to be Palin.

  • “(The posting of the two photos above was not meant to be read as an endorsement for Joe Biden as vice president).”

I can see that you’re taking care to avoid further criticisms from your Christian blogger friends, but it doesn’t seem to be a problem for you to endorse Palin by posting her picture even though it’d be a crime to endorse Biden with his own.

  • Bernie Mac.

But like most things, good flies before evil dies..

  • I’m all for Sarah.

  • I cannot say.  However, I would choose the woman who would do the best job.  I mean, the person who would do the best job.

  • Biden….definately has a lot more experience.  I don’t care if Palin lives next to Canda, can see Russia from her house, or how many world leaders she meets at the UN between now and the election, none of that is going to give me faith in her or John McCain.  I think, personally, they’re both crooked politicians.  All politicians are, but they are more crooked than most.

  • Will never qualify for running as prez because I’m not a natural citizen.  Just an artificial citizen…haha

  • Isn’t that about the same as asking are you a Republican or a Democrat.

  • Well,I m not ashamed to say who I gonna vote for! I can’t wait to see Palin do her masterpiece! Yeh!!!

  • Neither. I think both of them are too disliked by the opposite parties. When running for president it is important to stay close to the middle with your views so that you get as many votes as possible. This is beneficial to McCain because despite what some people want to believe, he is much more moderate than your average republican and has views that are very distinct from those of Bush and the Bush Administration. Palin, however, is very open in her right-wing beliefs and could cause a potential threat to votes that McCain might have received if not for her being the VP. I wouldn’t want Biden either because he is incredibly left-wing. As we progress in society and as party lines are being blurred, it is more important for the majority of people to see a candidate that can identify and relate to both sides, I believe that many people will not be able to relate to either VP candidate. Overall though, I would prefer Palin.

  • Biden. Palin is an idiot.

  • Before I answer am I a single Presidential candidate or married? My decision may change with those details ;)

  • Seriously?  Have people not been watching Palin’s interviews?  Do you not see that she has no earthly idea what she’s talking about half the time?

I agree that Biden’s said some pretty silly things, too, recently, but honestly ANYONE seems better than Palin at this point.

  • Sarah Palin!!!!!!

  • I’d rather have a jar of mayonnaise for a VP than Palin.

  • Stephen Colbert for Vice President!!!!

  • I do have to say, though. I really think Obama should change his VP pick from Biden to Jar Jar Binks, just to make it a little more even. Don’t you think?

  • I would pick Biden he has just as much experience as McCain does so with Obama’s Ideas they will make a great team. I feel badly for McCain, He so wants this term and has run so many times for this office. She seemed like a great choice but it has fallen apart for them. Just because they resinate with “Christian Values”, doesn’t mean they have the right to lay claim to this office.

I would rather vote with my mind and not my heart if I knew that the other ticket might blow it, we can’t afford to, GOD FORBID something happen to McCain and end up with her trying to keep it together, that really scares me.

If something happened to Obama I feel more comfortable, with Biden running the country. Go for the best choice, Jesus doesn’t mind if we vote for the dem ticket.LOL Many Rep I have talked to feel that if the switch to the Dem vote this time the are letting down there party. I prayed about this too and thought about maybe God has raised her up like Ester, for “such a time as this”, but She is no Ester. Good luck everyone this is a tough election… I’m voting OBAMA!!!!

  • Save the Baby Humans Vote Pro-Life

  • That hairdo of hers really gets on my nerves. Can’t she just leave it down for God’s sake? At least then it’d look normal, rather than like a beehive.

  • palin. if it were palin vs. clinton, i would’ve gone for clinton. but obama’s pride won out and he didn’t pick clinton. so there! take that OBAMA!
