  • Paris Hilton: Don’t Hate Me Because I Am Rich

I have noticed a few articles written in the last few days that mentioned how much money Paris Hilton was spending.

The articles all managed to mention her spending and the tough economy.  There is a mention of how people are without jobs and how people are starving in other countries.  She spent about $5000 in a store the other day.  Plus she bought a new car.  Here is one of the links:  Link

What is interesting to me is how the articles are written.  It appears to be that people think Paris should spend less money because other people in this country are experiencing hardship.

Does it bother you to see Paris spend so much money during difficult economic times?

  • No, not at all. Spending is good for the economy!

  • It’s her money, she’s earned it.  And she does give to charity, doesn’t she?  Besides, her spending money keeps the economy going in some way, right?

  • Nope. If she has the money, then why not? Maybe she’ll spend enough to make her family go broke.

  • no.

what bothers me is that I’m on financial aid to go to college. I’m in college because I need to support myself, but paris can afford to go to college but doesn’t need to. she never needs to work.

    I’m jealous.

  • Hey, at least SOME ONE is spending money.

  • I don’t give a care about Paris Hilton. Isn’t spending good for the economy?

  • Well, you know when rich people spend their money, it gives others jobs who make the stuff they buy. Is it silly what they spend their money on ?YES, do I care what they spend it on, NO!

  • that’s funny.  it would kind of surprise more me if she stopped spending her money.

  • I don’t care how much money she spends.

  • @writingsongsforBlair - Yeah, I’m not bothered by the fact that she spends money on luxury items. I’m jealous because she has all of the basic necessities covered (and then some) and never has to work for them. I’ll be lucky to ever own a home.

  • If I was in her shoes, I’ll do the same…only more practical.

  • kind of?

theres so many other people who deserve that money
    o___o
the pink bentley is ugly anyway.
    gross.

  • I don’t think she’d have the financial intelligence to alter her spending habits even if the economy did affect her bank account in any way.

  • It doesn’t bother me. If I had her money, I would be going on a shopping spree or three.

  • No… her spending habits don’t make mine any better or worse.

  • Sometimes I feel like that most celebrities shouldn’t spend their money when the economy is so horrible. Not just because the economy is bad but because most of them do not know how to spend their money appropriately. Most of them just think money run on tree’s. They just spend and spend on useless things like : CARS, CLOTHING, and MAKE UP.

    Spend it on useful things.

and also, If they gave to charities and organizations maybe I wouldn’t feel so horrible.

  • I don’t care what Paris Hilton does. However, if I had her money I’d be giving more of it away than I would be spending it. But then again, I know from experience what it’s like to live in real poverty. Paris’ idea of poverty is not having room service.

  • Who cares? She’s not spending tax/government money. It’s her own money, she can spend it as she pleases, regardless of what other people think.

  • eh.

sometimes it pisses me off because one dress that she bought could pay for half of my college tuition.

  • no as long as she uses some of that money to charity.  since she does.  it’s all good.  that’s her business.

  • It’s her money, not mine.

Though indulging in luxury is wrong in any era.

  • must be nice.

and that is all I have to say.

  • thats her money. she “worked” for it so she has the right to spend it as she pleases.

  • Let her spend it. Who freaking cares? She’s helping *somebody* at least by spending instead of hoarding it.

  • i think she should spend more, to help the economy. =D

  • No, It’s her parents hard earned money and she can spend it the way she wants!

  • No. :)

  • What’s she supposed to do? Go around and give it all to everyone who doesn’t have as much? I don’t give a hoot what she does with her money.

  • who’s Paris Hilton and why should I care what she does with her money?

  • No, but I really wish she’d give more of it away. She didn’t earn it, she fell backwards into it by her breeding. So many people could be helped by just a fraction of her money– and yet she spends it on a new car every few months. She buys things for herself all the time.

I don’t make NEARLY the money she does and I still donate to ASPCA, HRC, and To Write Love on Her Arms.

  • But spending a shit ton of money is GOOD for the economy… have at, Hilton.

Of course, that doesn’t mean I can’t not like her for OTHER reasons.

  • Maybe not if she actually EARNED it. Ugh. I’m not bitter though…

  • I’m more bothered that anyone feels justified in judging someone spending their money.

  • no it bothers me that we care about her at all

  • It is not technically bad for the economy, only infuriating to those of us who are somewhat FRUGAL as of late, yet we are in worse financial shape than those such as Paris.

  • Nope.

b/c when she goes broke she’ll be asking for a handout like every other washed up celebrity… it’s only a matter of time…

  • Doesn’t bother me! She’s contributing to the economy. :P

  • She seems like a nice girl and for her it’s normal.

Someone like Princess Diana was an exceptional person.

  • Actually, I think its great that she is spending. I don’t like her splurging money recklessly, but the people with money need to spend money to get the economy back on track. Its all a cycle, right? Once there is money in the cycle, things can happen. If people keep their money for fear of spending it, then there won’t be money in the vicious cycle of our economy.

  • actually, she’s being really smart.  right now is the time to spend!  it’s like a firesale out there… and plus the economy is stimulated when consumers spend.

i got $500 shoes for $160 bucks, i got an $800 suit for $350… spend away America!

  • It really doesn’t matter what Paris spends her money on. She might want to consider spending less foolishly, but it’s hers to spend, and if she runs out of money, she’ll be the sorry one. However, that’s not about to happen anytime soon.

What I think is so funny is that now, just because the economy has faltered, we are acting as though she has a sudden obligation to spend less? It’s mostly sour grapes. From my point of view, I was not any better or worse off due to some celebrity’s spending three years ago than I am today. Either way, I’m not going to get any piece of the pie. And why should I? It’s not my money. No, she didn’t really do anything to earn it, she is spoiled, etc. etc. Oh well. Move on. Besides, spending is good for the economy.

  • It is her money to spend! Tell me you all wouldn’t spend that much if you could and were accustomed to it like she is? Could her spending really help people who are poor anyway?

  • no, it’s her money. perhaps the point of the articles were instead of splurging on shopping she could spend less and donate more for the needy.but she’s paris hilton so what do you expect?you can’t stop her from shopping.

  • nah, it’s her money. she’s not the president or anything

  • Nah, not really.  I’m blessed that I’m feeling a great big impact from the economies current struggles and I consider that a great blessing.  Granted, I’m not rich, I just don’t have tons of overhead.  I think people are entitled to spend their money how they please, it annoys me more when I see someone with no money using the governments money to buy frivolous things…that’s more irresponsible then spending money that is yours to spend.  Besides, in essence isn’t she technically “boosting” the economy the more she spends?

  • No way! Your money, your call.

  • @thesecretfee - Yeah, that is true. And me being in love with clothes and shoes as I am … I’m gonna buy ‘em while they’re cheap, right? :)

I already knew how to save my pennies before, and I still do. The sucky economy didn’t hit me THAT hard that I had to make drastic changes like most.

  • hell no. in fact she’s contributing to the economy!

  • @FireMapleSong -

I can’t agree more with you. Maybe those who are angry about this shouldn’t be ranting to the rest of us, >_>

It is her money, yeah..she hardly had to do anything difficult for that money as the rest of us flounder…but it doesn’t really change my life, you know? I’d rather be focusing on stories like, “New cars with small home attached to them in the words” or…”Yurts being more affordable spurs a rise of nomadian lifestyle.”…or something.

  • Nah. It may make me green with envy as I struggle to pay bills, but it’s her money and when she spends it she’s doing her part to help keep those shops open and employing people.

  • Isn’t her new car that horrendous Pepto-Bismol pink Bentley? How much did THAT go for? Not as much as the Bentley dealership had planned, because no one would buy it at that price right now.

Well, I can get the much nicer LIGHT (Champagne-ish) pink Caddilac for free, courtesy of Mary Kay. and plus it looks a hell of a lot better than that mess. And like I said before, I don’t have to fork over a crapload of money for it.

    ~Amanda

  • I wish she would spend ALL her daddy’s money……

  • She didn’t steal that money so how she spends it is her desicion. Lol but I looking on the outside would find a million things to spend it on and say it will be more useful but i guess its how the mind works.

  • no.   we need those with money to spend it.   i don’t give a shit about her spending habits.

  • yeah because she didn’t work for it, but it’s her money all the same.

  • Ha, no. It’s her money…*shrugs*

You can’t take your money with you when you die, so why not… lol

  • Everybody is saying: i dont care its Paris Hilton she can do whatever she want with her money*

    True… but think about it

It really doesnt  it bug you when you see stuff like this ?

“In World Vision terms, $5000 would ensure that a village of 2000 people
in Africa or Asia would have clean water for the rest of their lives.”

There goes 5 expensive* dessert that Paris Hilton have

2000* people would have clean water for the REST*** of their lives

  • No, she stimulating the economy by spending money.

This is why we need over-paid celebrities in tough economic times like these.

  • She can do better with her money because helping the less fortunate gives off a better feeling than any expensive car or diamond ring.

Instead of wasting your money on things you don’t really need, help. People might respect her.

To the people saying she donates to charity; she auctions off her own belongings so other people are buying her stuff and she gets THEIR money and gives it to charity. I wouldn’t give her too much credit for that.

  • ppl r just jealous. plus spending money is aiding the economy– maybe ppl shud thank her for boosting up economy?!

  •  If she stopped spending it then people would right articles about how horrible her lack of spending is. Can’t please everyone. Spend Paris Spend.

  • No. The malls have never been so packed this past Christmas. Everyone is going on a spending spree.

  • why anyone is blinking at this is beyond me. Paris is being, well… Paris. She’s just doing what she’s always done regardless of what the real world is going through.

  • Paris is awesomeeeeee<3

  • Kind of.  It shows a complete lack of consideration for all the people in economic crisis.  I’m uninformed as to Paris Hilton’s charitable spending and charity work, but it seems like outlandish spending when she could instead be doing something to help the less fortunate is plain old retarded and selfish.  Kudos to her, she has money, but I hope she does something other than spend it on clothes that she doesn’t need and new cars to replace her 2 month old car…

  • No.

  • no.  she actually help the economy in some sort of way – the money is gonna go to the workers and the workers is gonna go spend it somewhere…

  • No, it just bothers me how stupid she is.
    Or acts, at least.
But something tells me it’s not an act.

  • Her spending habits are her own business, BUT, what little bit of money she has “earned” from flaky promotional gigs does not merit the kind of spending she blatantly shows.

She did not “earn” the millions she is heir to, the Hilton name have her that, and that is what allows her to spend as she does. She is just another Hollywood rich kid living off the legacy of her family’s name.

    sage

  • Psh. No. It’s her own money and I really don’t know why people are spazzing over it!!!

if I had money and someone told me I couldn’t buy that cookie in that shop over their, I would bear-tackle them until they dropped it >:3

    I like cookies.

  • yes, how dare she put money into the economy instead of keeping it in her bank account.. what a selfish ho.

  • I don’t care, what makes me mad is that she doesn’t actually have to work for her money! I seriously don’t think that she deserves what she has. The fact that she gives to charity means nothing, it’s merely a publicity stunt. Politics, they’re everywhere.

                                                               – rushed

  • I might be a bit jealous of her wealth, but what she chooses to do with her life affects me not at all.

  • No, it bothers me when people say, “…and how people are starving in other countries.” People are starving in this country.

  • nah. maybe it will help the economy.

whenever I have extra, I try and go to the movies or stuff like that to do my part in keeping it going.it is so sad to me that I have to work at Quiznos when I almost have a bachelor’s degree… but every day someone tells me “at least you HAVE a job!”…. it hurts to have to work twice as hard and make half as much but shit if you have it, use it.

  • meh.
    if you’re stinkin rich
i’m sure you don’t worry much about the economy.

  • Don’t care really.
But it would be nice to see her not wasting it on stupid things she doesn’t need and start helping the people who need food /homes/ etc. But we can’t expect all people to be ethical. I’m pretty sure a vast majority of us would splurge on ourselves first anyway.

  • Eh, she’s  dead inside anyway, so I’m not too bothered.

  • No but everything else about her does. Her stupidity/ her being famous for no reason/ her dabbling in movies and music while having no talent/ her being thought of as attractive when shes too thin and too ugly/ her being everywhere/her being a role model for little girls/ her being a “stupid spoiled whore” to quote southpark.

  • why the hell would it bother me? if you’ve got money, why shouldnt you spend it?
and why the hell do people care how paris hilton spends her $?

  • no…it’s her money.
just because i’m broke doesn’t mean she has to curtail her spending.

  • Not really. Let them spend. If it’s all gone, its their lose.

  • She can do whatever she wants with her money. It is her money.
It isn’t fair that people in this country are dealing with unemployment and some can’t even afford to feed their families. A lot of things aren’t fair but it doesn’t have much to do with her buying a new car.

  • I don’t care about her anyway

  • What bothers me is that she pretends to care about the plights of  the poor around the world and then goes and blows absurd amounts of money on stupid crap.

  • I don’t give a damn about Paris Hilton.  She probably doesn’t even know how bad the economy is and p.s. that photo makes her look high.

  • I don’t think people understand, you want to spend MORE money in a depression in order to start the economy back up again. If you save save save, then the sales sector will fail, the manufacturing sector will fail, etc. etc. So Paris is actually doing the economy good…

  • I don’t like her, but isn’t she now stimulating the economy? Chances are, some Paris-lovers are now going to go into those shops and buy clothes, or go buy that kinda of car, etc…keeping those workers (from the factories to the shippers to the stores themselves) in their jobs.

So, who cares how much money she’s spending? One, it’s not OUR money, and two, she is inadvertently doing something nice for the economy.

    Feel free to disagree.

  • It saddens me that there are people starving in the world, while there are others (ie- Paris Hilton) who have an overabundance, yet still can’t get enough. The thing is, people are just now noticing this, because they, themselves are experiencing hardship. Why didn’t it bother them before? There are always people experiencing financial hardships, but just now, it’s touching “normal Americans.”

  • Fuck, no, that’s part of the problem to begin with! Everybody hears “recession” and they pull out. If we kept the money in and spending, it wouldn’t be so incredibly serious.

  • Rich people spending their money helps the economy.  If they all stopped, we’d be screwed.

  • @cre13 - lol, she didn’t really earn it.

i just wish she’d get hit by a bus. she’s a waste of space.

  • No. I mean if you HAVE money to spend, by all means, spend it as you see fit.

  • she’s stimulating the economy for god’s sake. people should be overjoyed.

  • If you got it, flaunt it.

Some of us may have to work for the money we have and hoarde it like squirrels with nuts but if you don’t, why not be materialistic and vapid?

I wish I had so little concern for where my money was coming from that I could drop 5000 dollars in a shopping trip.

I’ve never even had 5000 dollars.

  • I would rather not hear about her at all.

  • Too much information is given for this riddle. The economic times and other people experience hardship is irrelevant to her spending money. It is not like she dips her hands in other people’s wallets and spending their money!!

  • although i would love to see such celebrities use their money towards charity and other such things to better humanity, i’d much rather celebrities spend their money rather than horde it.  at the very least having more money in the market will be better for failing businesses than no spending whatsoever.  perhaps celebrities, if they really want some positive coverage they may want to spend money supporting small businesses.

am i thinking incorrectly?  tell me if i am.

  • Not at all. Someone has to spend money or else we wouldn’t HAVE an economy…

If you’ve got it, spend it; you keep people employed and businesses open.

  • No,  It is her money,  she can spend it on what she likes

As long as does not come running,  when its all gone.

  • I don’t have the energy to care.

  • nope. she’s stimulating the economy in some sort of way

  • That would be weird if it bothered you that she was spending her OWN money. It’s her money, and she should be able to spend it however and whenever she wants.

  • It bothers me to see anything about her in the press.  She is a perfect example of how the elite owned mass media uses useless garbage to divert the minds of people from what is really going on in the world.  Why else does a person who has accomplished absolutely nothing in her life show up in the headlines so often?

  • I should be glad she’s still fueling the economy.

  • nope. she’s not spending the people’s money. get over it!

  • Seems like a shallow lifestyle but who am I to judge.

  • She’s probably spending her money better than the goverment anyway.

  • It bothers me how much money jhim43 does not have, not the other way around.

If I had money, at least I would buy cooler stuff.

  • She’s an Aquarius. Some Aquarians don’t really care….about much.

And then some Pisces’ are pathetic drunks and druggies.

There’s positive and negative to everything.

    P.S

    I’m a positive Pisces :P

  • not b/c she’s rich but Paris Hilton bothers me b/c she thinks she’s a Star b/c of a sex tape “accidentally released” and can party with the so-called A list like Britny..when britney was sick…but her spending money makes money and helps the economy. does it bother me that she could solve world hunger but buys 100 purses instead..but it’s a good thing that she is spending. In my humble opinion.

    Soulstar76

  • @lovestar_14 - good reponse, i am a lover too, and my name is soulstar, i loved the way you hit your point home.

    sincerely and peacefully to all,

    Soulstar

  • @soulstar76 - Oh, thanks!

    Nice to meet you :D

  • Money we can earn it …Yes ” she r rich but she alway be bad of more people feel ……………

I think she can’t earn money when she poor

becaz she only know how to use ….

    I only love she money

    but don’t like SHE SELF

  • @mkenyon719 - because she was the daughter of a billionaire and had $ given to her doesn’t mean she didn’t earn it in some form or another.  She puts up with a lot of shit (like this for example) just because of the $.  Maybe she didn’t have to work her ass off but that’s just the cards she was dealt.  I just don’t see why everyone has such a grudge against her.  Sure I’d like to “hate” people who are as rich as she and carefree about life as she but I just think about things in life that I’m rich of and she’s not.  And the world seems fair again.

  • No, it does not bother me. I am not certain what I would do with a lot of money. I would want t share some of it. I think I would will it to activities I think are worthwhile, but I do think I would spend some money on travel and a house with a view! It is hard to know with whom to share weath.

I recall a televison interview with someone who immigrated to the United States, taught school in New Jersey, invested in real estate, and made a lot of money. This fellow gave 100 million dollars to third world charities and kept about three million. He moved to British Columbia. He said his children had lived with him and knew how to become rich if that is what they wanted to do. Made sense to me.

  • Paris Hilton just bothers me in general, whatever she does.

  • No. I mean, it’d be really, REALLY nice if she would share a bit of that with me. But, I certainly don’t begrudge her the right to do what she will with her money.

  • She’s boosting the economy.

  • nah
    somewhere, somehow, far far away
    it’s helping someone

  • i would encourage her to buy more and spend more… it’s good for those out of job!

  • Yes.  I wish my daddy would hand me a nice fat check!  Not all of her money is earned by her.

  • I am amused by the folks that say, “Oh it’s ok because she gives some of HER own money to charity.  Actually spending her money does more than charity would.  People make the items she buys, so they have a job and can continue getting paid.

Personally, I don’t worry about what anyone else spends other than my customers…:D

    goinggreenaccidently.blogspot.com

  • It’s her money, who are we to say she can’t spend it, just because we don’t have as much?

The only part that bothers me is that I’m not there spending with her :P

  • hells no.. Im not a hater.

  • I think you can treat yourself from time to time if you can afford it, although I do think she’s goes over the top. I think if she gets a budget of, say, $10,000 to spend, she should donate 10% or more of it, and then use the rest as she pleases. It’s not her fault she has so much money. Paris wouldn’t be popular if it were not for us consumerists who buy her crap and watch her shows. We’re the ones making her rich [aside from being an heiress].

  • The more money Paris spends, the more she is helping the economy. She can do whatever she wants within reason. She’s not bothering anyone by spending her own money so leave her alone.

  • Why is everyone so obsessed over celebrities?

  • no, it doesn’t bother me at all. i actually encourage it. she’s feeding businesses while normal consumers are hesitating. if too much consumers are not spending, businesses are going to die then we all die!

  • It bothers me more to hear about senetors and congressmen and the CEOs of failing auto companies wasting money.

  • honestly who really cares?!?
also why is it that we as a society always care so much about what celebrities are doing and all? i could really care less about any of the celebrities out there.

  • It bothers me that people pay so much attention to how she spends her money.

  • Her richness plus her bratty character makes her your typical rich b****, yes she should try to help 3rd world countries who have almost nothing worth living for! But because of what she has become infamous for (take South Park’s ‘Stupid Spoiled Whore’ episode for example) she thinks nothing of the lesser fortunate, she’s a sugar baby who gets away with EVERYTHING! She is the idol of all preppy kids, and she is Brittney Spears x5 such as spoiled little brat who doesn’t have to do S*** for anything! Oh her biggest job is being a celebrity, WTF is so big job about celebrity other than get your face all over the media and earn a mountain load worth of tabloids. She will run the Hilton hotel company into the ground with her corporate minded self-indulgences of ‘don’t know s***’. I know plenty of rich people who didn’t waste away their luxuries and kept a good fortune as well as help the lesser fortunate. I hate Paris Hilton for her character (the usual preppy brat who is self-absorbed) not because she’s rich though the rich part gives her an excuse only to be a total b****!

  • definitely not.
plenty of people are still spending money…aka other celebrities, and people at my boarding school whose parents have like, endless funds.
really though, this economy is affecting almost everyone, i think. my mom’s practice is getting fewer visits because people can’t afford copay.
i can’t wait for the economic situation to improve, because i hate knowing that so many people are struggling as a result of it, even though i’m not one of those people. the pressure adults have right now is probably a lot.
    :/

  • @raon_pureheart - i totally agree. i mean i don’t think it’s wrong for her to spend exorbitant prices for clothes and whatnot…but i think her oblivion to the lesser fortunate IS wrong. has paris even been to a 3rd world country? i wish this woman realized how unfortunately some people are living in those countries. i wish the kids at my prep school cared more about the less fortunate also.

  • She’s saving the economy with baby steps!

  • Paris Hilton has been spending that much money if not more for a long time. You can’t expect her to just stop because other people can’t spend that much money.

  • Have her spend as much money as possible.  Put that money to use in our economy.

  • @Pawleeen -  I agree 100%, It really doesn’t bother me.

  • No, but I can’t help but wish I had a bit of that money. Especially since I’m going to start college soon…

  • no if i was her id spend too

  • Nope! :D At this time of economic hardship, spending is actually HELPING it. If anything Paris Hilton is HELPING the economy. XD

  • Kinda. It bothers me that she just has so much money to blow, and never has to work for anything.

  • i’m glad she’s spending a lot of money.  it’s an economic stimulus.  can anyone honestly say they’d spend less money in her situation?  people these days just don’t know how to be happy with what they’ve been given.

  • Do I wish she wasn’t such a vapid airhead?  Yeah.  Does it bother me that she’s spending a bunch of money?  No, she’s stimulating the economy.

  • ha, lucky girl has inherited a fortune and was able to create a line of perfume products, etc. she has the money, good for her! no one should be the judge of how she should spend her money or try to put her down because of it. (:

  • No.
Her spending extra amounts of money is good… because for the economy to get rolling, people to need spend willy-nilly.

Paris KNEW that, and is now spending extra to do her part to help the country!

  • “She worked for it?” Yeah, no she didn’t. Come on people open your eyes and see what is right there in front of you! She does not have to work for anything because she gets everything handed to her on a silver platter! Do you really think she or anyone like her really gives a rats ass about any of us who actually do work or for that matter the economy? No, they don’t and never will. They all have enough money that they will never know what it is like to have to starve or go without just the basic needs because you can’t get a job or cannot afford it. They live in a dream world.

Here are my thoughts on the matter. Instead of going out and spending gobs of money on superficial shit that they do not need, celebrities should do what is right and give that money to charities and, oh gee, I don’t know, people who really need it liek the car factory workers who lost recently lost their jobe. I am not talking about going and giving a few thousand to a charity once in a blue moon. I am talking about giving millions of dollars to more than one charity. Spending might help the economy but it takes time and lots of people doing it to work. If people cannot afford to do so they obviously won’t. It is a real slap in the face to have the asshole celebrities waving their money and wealth in front of everyone’s faces in hard economic times.  They care more about what fucking car they drive or what they wear than they do about anything that really matters.

  • Not really. It’s her money after all.

She actually came here to Australia JUST TO DO SOME SHOPPING. Makes you want to envy her eh? Or maybe not.

  • Yeah- she should give more of her money to charity instead of showing off multimillion dollar jewels and stuff.

  • I have nothing against anyone for being well-to-do.  Even though Paris Hilton has done little to earn her immense fortune, it is legally her’s.  No one should either seek to deprive her of it… or envy her for it, either.  Still, it’s a sorrowful fact that too much unearned wealth at too young an age can corrupt.  Miss Hilton is an exemplar to the truth of that.

A responsible person realizes that wealth and celebrity status (the two are rarely non-concurrent!) also brings with it added responsibility.  When one becomes prominent in society- and for whatever reason- others tend to watch them and take lessons in life from them.  The younger the celebrity and the younger the peer group, the more pronounced this effect tends to become.  Therefore, it’s naturally incumbent on the celebrity to put his/her best foot forward in public for the betterment of others.

A great many celebrities openly support this or that charity… while otherwise promoting depravity by personal example.  That is pure public relations fraud.  It is also self-deception.  You cannot buy your way to respectibility.  Nor can you lead while allowing yourself to be corrupted by your own fame and fortune.

Paris Hilton was blessed not only with fortune, but with good looks, health and, above all, a God-given opportunity to promote goodness, honor and morality to an emerging generation of young Americans.  Instead, she chose extreme and immoral self-indulgence.  It is for this, not her money, that I and others rightfully criticize her.

  • No, she is actually helping the economy by spending some of her money.  Those money keeps the retailer store in business and everyone’s job have to do with that company.  People in that article is just jealous because they can’t have what she have.  Big deal even when the economy was better most of those people can’t pay half of what she spends daily.  That article does not make Paris Hilton look bad, it just makes the people in the article look selfish.

  • no, in fact theres lots of good deals out there. im suprised that peopel fail to mention that our car industry in almost inteh crapper and shes at least helping a car dealership and picking one up. didnt you see the guy trying to move cars off of his lot by sellign em for a dollar with a first car purchase? sales are going lie crazy to keep our capitalism going. I do hope that she spends lots in the small businesses though too.

  • No.  She has the right to do as she pleases with her money.

  • During this difficult economic time, there are people who will still do their part to support the economy.  What are you and I doing, for example?  NOTHING.  She has the balls to buy a car during the automaker’s downfall.  I admire that.  I admire her for being an example.  Thank God for Paris Hilton!

  • seeing her spend less wouldn’t help ourselves in any way. it doesn’t matter. wouldn’t you spend the money if you had it?

  • Her spending actually helps the economy. Why would I dislike her for that? Fuck… America needs 100 more Paris Hiltons right now. 1000.

  • p.s. Those eprops were an accident.

  • no its her money not mine.. If I or my parents is her case, worked and built a successful empire such as their family then i would spend it, it is mine/.

  • i cant believe i missed this post!!!!! >.< it’s actually a great thing that she’s spending money!!! she’s keeping the economy afloat!!!
