We gave up on the Cardinals in the third quarter only to have one of the most exciting fourth quarters ever! Very good game.
What a game! One of the best!
I don’t know – I’ve never watched any.
It WAS close. Jesus. I was ready to throw up the last few minutes of the last quarter. I’m glad my boys still pulled through
This was pretty close. Superbowl XXV back in 1991 (Giants beat Bills 20-19) still takes the cake for me. Superbowl XXXIV (Rams beat Titans 23-16) was a better finish. Superbowl XLII was more epic with the Giants beating the previously undefeated Patriots. Arguably Superbowl XXXII (Denver beats Green Bay) was also more epic, with the Bronocs ending 13 years of NFC dominance. But this game was in the same class.

I didn’t even watch it this year. I forgot I had to floss my teeth instead.
football fan? I missed the game cause I’m preparing for my exam tomorrow. Thanks for the add.
btw did your favorite team win?
You’re such a smart ass.
I’m sad. I wanted the Cardinals to have their first win at their first go at a Superbowl. I couldn’t believe how many penalties there were! And the Steelers were kind of rude with all the punching and stuff!
God, I miss football already.
@randomneuralfirings - Yeah, when the Rams beat the Titans? LOVED that game (I’m obviously a big Rams fan). I still have the picture from the newspaper with the ball barely crossing the touchdown line hanging up in my office.
This was one of them. It is certainly the worst officiated game in the history of the Super Bowl. I’ve never seen more one-sided calls.
The halftime show was exciting.
There was never any doubt who would win the game Go Steelers!!
it was definitely a great game!! very close – i hate blow out games like last year… very fun ending! And I won my Proline, go Fitz!!
Love how you say you wish it could have been close. You can’t get much closer than 27-23…
And this sucks.. I wanted the Cards to win >_<
Pore 23 looks like he got kicked in the face…
I think it was boring …. last years was great!!! this I totally knew the Steelers were going to win. They were awesome most of the year ( damn them giants!). I have to give the Steelers’ Harrison was awesome!
@SladeTheGreyFox - Nah, Santonio’s catch was nothing compared to Tyree’s last year.
Nah, nothing like last year.
Had it gone into overtime, yes. But, it would have been better for me if the Eagles had gone and made it a Pennsylvania Bowl. State College would have been ripped in half…and there would be a riot right now.
Last year was unbelievably epic.
I’m not rooting for any team; I just felt bad for the losing one because they worked so hard and …was so close … but yet lost. I can’t stand seeing their sad faces
HELL YES. This game was so intense. I was on edge the wholeeeeeee time. Even up till the last 35 seconds I thought my team was gonna lose it, but they didn’t!
I joined in on the rioting on the Southside. It was amazing. If you live in Pittsburgh, watch WTAE. I’ll be on the news. Haha.
Oh and how could you not love/hate Harrison in this game?
He kicked ass with that run, but then made himself look like an ass with that foul. TALK ABOUT EMOTION. The number of fouls, the intense comebacks made by both teams. It had to have everyone on edge. Even if you knew in your heart the Steelers were going to win, in that last 35 seconds they could have EASILY lost it, which made it better. PLUS they won even after being ROBBED of the first touchdown Ben made. It was a freaking THRILLER.
I am a hardcore nerd. I didn’t know who won until I read this.
IMO, last year’s was kind of boring. It was basically over before the half.
This year was a little more dramatic. Which, in turn, made it more entertaining. To echo one of the earlier comments: even if you knew the Steelers were going to win, it still could have gone either way for a few moments towards the end. Regardless of the spotty officiating.
I did not watch it, I dont know what was the exciting Super Bowl since I dont watch the sport
Of course, being born and raised in southwestern PA, I’m glad for the outcome. I must confess I had lost faith when the Cards went up 23-20. It certainly was an exciting game. No one else has six! Go STILLERS!
Wow. Until I saw the title of this post on my Xanga this morning I totally forgot the Super Bowl was last night. Obviously I don’t watch football…..So what was the score?
If not it was pretty damn close.
@stillooking2find - Oh my goodness, I totally thought they were going to lose it then too. Even when we came back, I was still scared that the Cardinals were going to score in that last 35 seconds.
Wow, again? Cool dudes.
ha ha:)
I didn’t watch it.
This was a really good game, but I think that the Super Bowls in:
1991 (Bills vs. Giants – Scott Norwood’s possible game winning field goal goes wide right as time expires.)
2008 (Patriots vs. Giants – Giants deny Patriots football immortality.)
were more exciting.
Yeah… going to a school where most people are Steelers fanatics, the energy was amazing and the spirit was so strong. I had a great time watching it, and I thought the game was good.
The steelers are my damn boys. I haven’t missed a damn game they’ve been in since I’ve been ALIVE. WHAT THE HELL WHY DID I MISS THIS>?!?!?!?!?!? WHY GOD WHY

Woo-Hooo! Good for them (by the way I’m not picking sides whoever would have won I would have said “Woo-Hoo! Good for them”)
I totally was hoping for cardinals, but that was an amazing catch by the steelers (holmes)… sighs, oh well, here is to the office afterwards haha =)
Awesome game
wow. it JUST ended.
i’m fairly disappointed. wasn’t that great a game.
but i did win some money.
Last years was, hands down. My favorite number all last year was 18-1.
I found the game kinda boring this year (because of the lineup)… But the Cardinals were getting their asses kicked though.
*sigh*
I didn’t watch it.
I was gonna do a search to see who won but I decided that you would post it soon enough.
Yay Steelers!
I’m sad.
Great game, no matter who won.
That was quite a game.
last year was.
I was trapped in a room with four hardcore Cardinals fans! Needless to say they were not happy! lol
Amazing game! Close games like that stress me out, but I love it.
I liked the Patriots losing last year, but this was just about as equally exciting.
Ever? Probably not…but it was pretty freaking awesome!
*sigh* too bad.
Did you have both entries ready in Office, and have your fingers set to copy and paste? haha
Im screaming….still
This was the best Super Bowl ever. Nuff said!
I don’t care about football- 5 minutes until a new office!!
Ugh…
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz but hey my bf lyked it watta freekin jok
that was an AMAZING game! so exciting, loved it. go steelers, super legit! :]
>:/ Damn it!
Um, sure.. (yawn) Good thing for blogs, or I’d never know who won
@another_rebel_without_a_cause - True that. Giants vs New England was golden.
