I am getting ready now! I go to a Vineyard (non-denominational).
The church I go to is non-denominational.
non-denominational university chapel. It’s amazing. I just cant find my shoes.
Its an Evangelical Free Church
one where you could smoke pot in the back room.
Lutheran…but my daughter is sick, so we’re home.
I’m pagan. I don’t go to church. If I have to go for family things it’s usually Catholic.
The most atheistic church I can find.
If I were going today I may end up anywhere. I visit a large variety of churches of many denominations. I work with people of many religions through my volunteer outreach and I like to go wherever I am invited to go. I have found that it is the people.that make the worship wonderful not the religion……….~Echo
non denominational

naw,,,
thats not really a church,,,,
Realistically, it would be an Evangelical Christian church, because that’s the main church in this town. If such a church existed here, I would attend a Unitarian Universalist church.
But really, being an atheist, I would not want to attend any church.
You mean if I had to go to a church, which one would I choose?
I would go to one of the churches of the United Church of Canada (don’t know what your equivalent would be) - the one where a friend of mine is the Pastor, so he could make jokes about (a) it obviously being the end of the world, and (b) how anyone sitting near me should watch out for lightning strikes.
If I were there right now, it would be The Salvation Army – but I am home with sick kiddos – which is thus canceling our special activities for today, because as youth pastor, I am not there to enroll our newest young person, who is actually my own son, one of the sick kids.
In half an hour. Chinese Independent Baptist Church
The gayest church there is!
General Christian – nothing fire and brimstone. No more of those – ever. My husband is Church of Christ but we don’t have any locally. I would try that with him, but I tend to have a personal relationship with God. Not a fan of the man-made aspects of religion. I’m also a practicing Buddhist and that doesn’t usually bode well with the Church.
Catholic.
My usual church is a Friends Church. I didn’t go today because i have Biology to study for.
Naturally I’m on xanga instead… *shameface*
I would be going to temple on Saturday, thank you very much.
Just kidding. I was one grandparent away from being Jewish. Mom’s dad was. Shalom!
However, seeing as I was raised among my dad’s family, which are all very Roman Catholic, I would probably be dragged to mass. However, my dad stopped practicing a while ago and he and I both want to investigate the local UU church some time to see what it’s all about.
General baptist or non denominational evangelical, although it’s great to visit churches that are different than what you’re used to. I always find it a really interesting experience to visit a catholic or eastern orthodox church once in a while. It gives you a new perspective.
We visited an Assemblies of God church this morning and I came home with a headache
H- The church of christ R- I don’t go I dislike church Me- Im in a church all the time!
Im with some friends, so we all answered
All the churches I enter these days are Catholic and are for some family event, but I’m not. If I was going to go to something that converged with some of my own personal beliefs, it would probably be Buddhist or Shinto, although I only have limited knowledge of either of them.
I would go to a babtist church. Because it’s the closest
I wasn’t raised with any particular religion but as you can tell I am Buddhist. I go with my older foster brother and his wife to either a Catholic and Methodist Church when I visit them. I like the routine of it all.
One with a singles group.
And a kids church.
That’s what I’m trying to figure out.
This morning I went to a baptist church. Usually I go to pentecostal.
A Catholic one. I’ll probably hit up the evening mass, though.
@huginn - The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster? I thought that was on Friday and you have to dress like a pirate.
My church doesn’t let me dress like a pirate.
Catholic
United Methodist. I’m visiting my aunt and uncle this weekend and I don’t go to church when I’m at their house because they are Primitive Baptist and their church freaks me out a tad.
I was raised Southern Baptist.
If I had gone to church? (which starts in 2 minutes…) I’d go to United Methodist.
Unitarian Universalist
I was raised SB, so to answer your question, that’s where I would be. But I don’t do that anymore, so the Church of Me and My Family Spending Our Day Together.
If I had my ways I’d be in the synagogue on saturday, but as it is I will be attending a “sunday church” tonight…the only religious thing I did this morning was read and pray….and also do my homework.
There’s this place on the other side of interstate 35 where really sexy nuns wear easily-removable velcro habits and spank you with rulers, does that count?
by type do you mean religion? or style?
i’ll worship in a traditional setting this am
Southern Baptist
It is interdenominational. I believe the church started off full gospel baptist but is really more interdenominational than anything.
Southern Baptist, here too.
Missouri Synod Lutheran
If I went it would be a non-denominational.
New York City Church Of God~~
Mosque.
One that serves real wine instead of grape juice for communion…
In all honesty, if I were to go to church today it would be a non-denominational thing.
The church of Christ
Already went…Assemblies of God!
I’d really love to visit the places of worship of as many different religions as I can. I’m fascinated.
buddhist. Raised catholic and I’m a deist, but I’ve been to a buddhist temple before and it’s very interesting and enlightening.
Presbyterian.
Baptist.
Morningstar Christian Fellowship Church, to be exact. It’s a big multi-cultural church in Scarborough. Very friendly, with about 1000 people on a Sunday morning (2 services)
i wud go to synagogue but the closist one izzan hourz drive & driving on shabbat izza not so gud thang so for the less thanna handfulla jewz in town we get together once a month on shabbat & study tanakh together home skool judaism in the wild west
oh yeah & for thoze of us who do pray we do so privately in our own homez
I went to a First Christian church. Used to go to a Baptist church. I don’t think people should be defined by the church they attend though; I believe in the Bible as God’s Word and that’s what should be important.
I think a home church is the most Biblical though, and would like to go to one, but my dad wants us to go to the one we do now.
I don’t believe in “the church.” I believe in God.
I did go to church this morning, and I went to a Southern Baptist church.
Tonight, I will be going to a non-denominational. I was christened Presbyterian, raised SBC, went to a community church during my early youth; an Independent Baptist church in my later youth; nowhere at all for several years; both a Lutheran church and a Catholic church during college, sporadically; a Reformed Baptist church on and off for a couple of years; and now I’m here.
Presbyterian (PCA)
@GunStarHero1988 - It’s supposedly non-denominational. (Actually “Assembly of God” is like a denomination in and of itself. lol.) Believes the “gifts” are still available and working. Oh… and the Pentecost.
I go assembly because it’s the least religious one that I’ve experienced (if you find a good one) and they have the best youth group ministries with tons of stuff to get involved in.
I go to a different church almost every Sunday though. haha Sometimes I’ll go to a very gospel style church with loud music and upbeat choirs, or I’ll go to a contemporary church that’s hoppin!, rarely I’ll go to a catholic, or… some doctrine church.
shrugs it’s good worship. lol.
I really can’t stand denominations. I’ve found two amazing churches though in New Jersey. It’s a bit of a drive for me, however, it’s so worth it.
Same place I’ve been going for 14 years now – a non-denominational evangelical Christian. But I belong to the First United Bapticostal Brethbyterian Methodiscopal Apogelic Evangelstolic Nazaristic Faithaholic Charismental Fundamatic Holy Spirit Filled Fanatic Church of God in Christ Our Lord – where all God’s children will harmonize and sing of one accord.
It was a good service this morning.
If I was required to go to church, I’d go to a Unitarian Universalist church.
I missed church this morning, but I go to a non-denominational charismatic renewal church. I grew up Southern Baptist, but these days I’m in the Charismatic renewal movement.
I’m not of any religion, but I attend an Evangelical church.
catholic.
or maybe Pagan, because I’m technically Atheist
I went to church this AM where I am a member and sing in choir. It’s ELCA Lutheran.
I was baptized as a teenager in Baptist church (against my agnostic dad’s wishes). I joke that it was way of rebelling as an adolescent. Later, I found that I get more out of a liturgical type of worship service, so I chose to worship with Lutherans.
I’m not into “religion”, I’m into “that which is spiritual”. I think the nature/character of a congregation is more important than denomination.
Blessings ‘n cheers
I’d be going to calvery chapel, a nondenomenational church…
i go to Southern Baptist but we are Charismatic Sourthern baptist i Love The Lord but am not married to any denomination
One that preaches the gospel and loves on others.
WOOOO Methodist but I didn’t go.
I went to a presbyterian church today. Same as always:)
This morning I went to the good ol’ fashioned American Church of $$$. I call it “work” for short.
I wish I could’ve gone to church instead, but in the AC$ hierarchy I am a mere peon, and my superior made it clear that because business is best on Sundays, I have to work Sundays. Or not work there at all. There are plenty of people just waiting to take my job. And I have bills.
Catholic. In Spanish.

I’m a non-denominational girl.

I go to a Baptist church; attended this morning.
I went to the Church of Bed this morning, prayed to the God of Sleep, and woke up to the sounds of my daughter giggling. Doesn’t get any more holy then that.
Right now I am attending a small Assembly of God church. I used to attend a home-church.
@abcxunt - oh no. I am queen of it. Some things just are sacred to me.
@afireinside_me - well, i didn’t mean anything by it. i respect people who do follow their beliefs.
