Motherhood and Hotness
In my last post, I showed photos of women and asked everyone to say who was the hottest woman. This is part of the comment I received from VaneDave:
“So my vote would go to mrsprosa since she is a fellow New York hottie and she can recite Tribe Called Quest lyrics, but she is holding her baby in the pic. That detracts from her hotness.“

I picked the first one because I thought it gave the best full view of her face. I actually was concerned I was giving her an unfair advantage holding the child because I thought that would get her more votes.
In my opinion, a woman who has a child, cares about that child and has maternal instincts has her hotness factor go up by ten times. I think it is a turn-off when a woman acts like her children are a burden and an interruption to her life.

I agree with you Dan…it can actually increase attractiveness in my opinion also. Maybe it’s that level of confidence and self sacrifice that makes it so…well…attractive.

I don’t think it detracts from her physical appearance, but the fact that she has a child would make me less attracted to her overall. I don’t want to have to deal with a kid, you know?
I dont know but she looks TOTALLY different in the picture with her bb then she does in any of the other pictures i’ve seen of her.. she’s a milf.. I’d do her.

yeah because that would mean she was already taken for the most part. i would think that if i saw a guy with a child.
It’s not the matter of a hot girl acting like her children are a burden or whatnot. It’s just that mothers and hotness just don’t click. MILFs are shown without their babies, whom are wholesome and innocent. So, having a baby within a picture with the question of ‘Who’s the hottest?’ does heavily detract her from that definition of being ‘hot’, in my opinion.
She is very hot, though, in her other pictures.
@edlives - Attractiveness comes in various different forms. I think ‘hotness’ is just one of the many sub-categories. I personally don’t believe that babies can possibly add on to that sort of attractiveness. Cute, yes, charming, yes, but not hot.
I do think a child detracts from a woman’s hotness — because I don’t want to date a mother. I, personally, do not want the responsibility of a child, and so any potential girlfriends (or boyfriends, for that matter) lose points when they’ve got a kid.
LOL. I wondered why Vanedave wrote that, and mentioned it to him….But in all honesty, I do believe men (& women sometimes) view “Moms” as less appealing as women who dont have children. I actually wrote about it in a post once titled “Can Mothers be sexy?” I actually feel more “Hotttt” Than I ever have after having my babies! So there, Society!

I think the baby is a distraction but it in NO WAY takes away from her beauty. If anyone makes the argument that it does…then I could see that they were possibly more in tune to the baby. I’ve come to notice people rarely see me in a room if my kids are in the room also.

Yes, I think it does. I noticed something while walking past workers with a child at my hand. When with a child it’s like you are invisible.
I guess it depends on what the person rating the hotness is hoping for… or fantasizing about.
@mrsprosa - Kids are definitely not hot to a 19 year old guy lol. But I suspect you wouldn’t really be trying to attract my attention anyway, so it doesn’t really matter!
Naw. Kids are awesome. Definitely a plus. But possibly more so if it’s a guy with a kid. Chicks dig a dude who’s good with anklebiters. As a dude who’s great with anklebiters, I hope that’s the case, anyway!
I don’t think it takes away from her looks at all. I think she is gorgeous. And a child just adds to it. It giver her an air of confidence. I think so anyways.
Well, it’s a personal thing. I really don’t like children very much… And I highly doubt that I will ever be responsible enough to have one, so I think it does sort of detract from the hotness… But, that’s just me.

I think a girl could be hot with a baby, cute is definitely a factor.
If a woman is a mother and shows good maternal instincts, her attractiveness goes way up. However, mothers tend to also be married and unavailable, so when I see a woman with kids I tend to not make a move no matter how hot she is.

I find some moms attractive. I like a competent mother. It’s kids I’m not so keen on.

In the case of this lady she has that mommy glow and seems genuinely happy so I’d argue it makes her even more attractive

What do women think about when they see a guy with a kid?
They probably think one of 2 things:
That guy’s a dad
That guy is good with kids.
What men think when we see a woman with a kid:

See how one is negative, and the other is positive?
Women like seeing men with kids, it shows that they care about not only the kid, but the woman as well, whereas guys see a kid as a cockblock, because essentially to a guy who’s trying to date a mom, that’s probably what the kid is.
Due to how society is, it is nothing special to see a mom with a kid. But guys usually aren’t good with kids, so seeing a guy with one, is sort of an “image enhancer” so to speak.

i think that judging by ‘hotness’ is generally a bad idea.if we’re judging looks, we should use other words [beautiful, pretty, gorgeous, cute, adorable, etc.].calling someone ‘hot’ makes it sound like all you want them for is sex.

it’s easier to do when you’re not reminded that a woman is a mother. she might still be hot, but you can only let your mind wander so far with it… i mean… the kid is IN the picture.

Not to say that I don’t love my children…. but they are what I guess I would call “beautiful interruptions”.
Children are sticky and scare me. So, yes. I would NEVER, EVER date or screw a girl/guy with a kid. Unless it was with my mate who MADE aforementioned kid with me.

She’s a loving mother. It matters not if I think she is hot or not. That matter is settled between her and her husband.
The one thing that destroys my infatuation with a woman is finding out she is married, divorced, or has a child. Why waste energy deciding hot or not issues with married women? I grew up in a single-parent home, and I remember what my mom’s friends were like: not that hot. One or two of them were cute, but that was that. They also had kids. nuff said.
Hot or Not is just a fantasy. Who wants to deal with real life when rating women (or men) in this manner.
And I really do hate the concept behind “MILF.” It has no class.
I think it depends on the type of guy and where they are in their lives. If a guy is at an age or a place where family is appealing, it will probably make her more hot. A young guy out to chase only tail, not so much.
i think it’s because women with babies are seen as motherly, nurturing, loving, caring, soft, gentle, etc.
none of these really collide with ‘hotness’ ..

she is more attractive in the first photo. the child doesn’t interfere, but i’m a mom. =) the last two are just over-exaggerated efforts to be sexy. she does not need to pose that way. she IS beautiful but posing that way isn’t flattering at all.

I was just confused on the way that you worded what you said. Because I think all mothers have at one time had “one of those days”.

It depends on the woman. Age, definitely. Like… if you’re a 17 year old guy, are you gonna be more attracted to the 17 year old with the baby, or the one without?
I just think that mothers who take photos of themselves like that are shameful.
I don’t think just seeing her with a kid makes her less physically attractive, but I can see why I guy might be a less likely to feel attracted to her because if she has a kid, she’s either taken or a single mother. He probably doesn’t want to go for a woman who is already taken, and most guys realize a kid would change the dynamic of the relationship.
If I see a guy out with his kids and it looks like he’s having fun with them, I’ll think that’s really cool, but I’m not going to get a crush on him until I know for sure the kids aren’t his. I don’t want to be a homewrecker and I’m not ready to be an instant mother.
@venomous_poison - what’s wrong with her pictures? They look pretty normal to me. It’s not like she’s posing for a Playboy pinup poster.
What if the little boy in the picture was a cousin, or a friend’s child instead of her own? Then would she be hot?
