  • President Obama and Black Support

A poll was taken recently that suggest that President Obama’s approval is dropping.

President Obama has 50% of the country approving of his performance while 49% disapprove.  That means the country is evenly split.

What is interesting is that after six months of being president, President Obama has a 97% approval rating of black voters.  Here is the link:  Link

Do you think black people will support President Obama no matter what he does as president?

  • I didn’t vote for him, but that whole “lesser of two evils” thing is starting to show. Big time.
They’re all the same; that’s why I vote independant.

  • A large majority will, with blind allegiance.

  • Some will, some won’t. Though I think it’s more to do with political party still.

Such is the problem with partisan politics. Politicians and their constituents will vote their party lines on everything, they won’t vote for an individual. FYI: I’m a registered Democrat, and I voted Libertarian this presidential election. Hahaha.

  • was this another Fox News report?

  • My analysis of him remains though: with initials like BO, you knew he was going to stink. ROFL.

  • Yes they will. Not sure I blame them in some ways. they have good reasons to be proud of him, and they do not want want him to fail. Sadly they are going to be disappointed.

  • yes. i will always remember. in high school. there was one black girl that tried out for cheerleader. and she sucked ass. she sucked at the jumps. couldn’t do any flips. but she made it through. why?? for the same reason as obama became president. sad that though this country thinks we are moving in a positive direction. we are taking steps back. we actually just voted someone president just because of his color. not based on his views and how he claimed he would help the country. people are so damn DUMB and BLIND! WAKE UP IDIOTS!

(now im not saying there is anything wrong with a black president/cheerleader. but they shouldn’t be put into that spot just based on color)

  • yes.

On top of that…..Every single black person  I work with and clients who I make conversation with ……..said they dont care what he does, they are just proud a black guy is president. I asked them this last night

  • From what I’ve seen so far… yes.

  • I still think that he could announce that he is going to personally murder every black starting with his wife and kids and ending with himself and he’d still have strong black support.

  • Even my black boss at work, who disapproved of nearly everything Bush did, still supports Obama when he does the same stuff.  It’s face-palming really.

  • its just really irritating to me. i keep seeing the previews for *being black in America part 2* what about being white in America? what about white history month???? why is it not a hate crime when a black person beats a white person to a bloody pulp? why are there more scholarships out there for you if you are black? why can a white person be called cracker..or whatever the hell else names people have. but you use a bad name against a black person and its like WOW! that was so wrong..you crossed the line. why can black people use those names to each other and its cool. they are in rap songs. but no..you can not use them unless you are black….i could go on forever

  • The majority of them, I figure so.

  • “Do you think black people will support President Obama no matter what he does as president?”

–Not all, but the same ones who were ready to accuse any non-blacks of racism for expressing an interest in not voting for Obama. -_-;; The more vocal of the bunch, unfortunately.

  • Why do you assume its in SPITE of what he does? Did you ever think people might approve of him for what he has done so far despite their race?

  • im disappointed in him now. it’s heartbreaking, really =[

  • @oOBuBBLes711Oo - That doesn’t mean all black people think the same way, don’t be dumb.

  • People are different.

  • With statistics like that being as far as they are from the national average statistics…I would say yes, it does seem that a majority of them will.

  • @kkraziemoonn - Yeah i knowwwww, people are ignorant either way.

  • @BunnyParfait - hahahahhaha. Dont be mad bc  youre black. Oh wait, too late.

  • @oOBuBBLes711Oo - I’m Arab, chink. =]

  • Yes and that’s the only reason he won. More black people decided to vote this time. I see why they did so, but that’s a stupid reason to vote someone in.

  • @BunnyParfait - Even worse!!!!!! Yikes!
Im Proud to be of asian decent, thanks! Chink, Chino, China, rice eater, egg roll.
I dont care, we’re smart, we’re pretty, we have good valules, we do well ANYWHERE we go whether its business, medical field, fashion……….there is no stigma tied to asian women. Wow!

  • @oOBuBBLes711Oo - /facepalm. Fail.

  • @kkraziemoonn - double standards are the best…NOT. And if you say anything like that (like you did you’ll get called racist.

  • probably, hell………..he’s promising everything for nothing !   i personally feel that i should work for all this shit that he wants to give me. and,  i believe my money is MY money, and i’ll spend it as i damn well please. i do not need government advice.

  • I would support Obama no matter what – If I were black.
I would hate Obmama no matter what – if I watched Fox News everyday.

  • @weakerlink - ya know, it’s time to just get real. everything or every opinion is NOT racist.  it’s what assholes make of it, and it’s making me sick.  maybe it’s time for the  N. A. A .W. P. !    HOLY SHIT !!   O M G   DID I JUST DO A RACIST BRAIN FART ?

  • @kkraziemoonn - ”yes. i will always remember. in high school.
there was one black girl that tried out for cheerleader. and she sucked
ass. she sucked at the jumps. couldn’t do any flips. but she made it
through. why?? for the same reason as obama became president.”

Somehow there is a big piece missing to this story.
And pretty much all the white people I know voted for Obama as well. Granted most of my friends are from college and they tend to be a more liberal crowd, but their race is pretty irrelevant and contradictory to what you’re saying.

  • @oOBuBBLes711Oo - What’s so bad about being an Arab?

I’m 3/4 Lebanese. I don’t see a problem with it. We have yummy food. :]

  • @kkraziemoonn - Why are you ass hurt your nation is trying to make up for the 400+ years of ignorance people had to go through without a choice? Is it because you don’t strive for that much in life? Its no one else’ fault you didn’t get far. And none of that is relevant to Obama’s election, chill your country ass out.

  • @abcdefgaby - She’s one of those dumb asians that thinks they’re better than everyone because they eat with sticks. :]

  • @BunnyParfait - Hahah, probably. She sounds like a stuck up little bitch.

  • @BunnyParfait - aren’t you tired of being retarded?

  • @AFS90 - aren’t you tired of lacking creativity?

  • @abcdefgaby - naturally haha. to think if a guy gets tricked into sleeping with her she might reproduce and raise her child to fear dating children of other races. just like every asian mother i’ve encountered when i dated their sons :’D

i just take comfort in knowing she’ll die eventually <:

  • @BunnyParfait - hey, you forgot your signature emoticon. what’s your purpose besides starting fights with everyone who doesn’t agree with you on here?

  • @AFS90 - Says the person that just called me a sand nigger that needs to pick up a welfare check? Has sucking cock all your life been fulfilling enough for you that you have to feign ignorance at your own failures? :’D funneh.

  • @BunnyParfait - I wouldn’t be too surprised if she did. All the Asian people I know are really open-minded about everything, so I’ve never had to experience that.

I love how people feel comfortable saying whatever ignorant-filled bullshit they want when they hide behind their computer screen.

  • @BunnyParfait - i don’t start fights with everyone i disagree with, only retards with dry, sandy vaginas. :]

  • @abcdefgaby - Oh definitely, if the bitch said it to me in person it’d be over. :]

  • @AFS90 - what would a fag like you know about vaginas? oh, other than your own that is. :]

  • @BunnyParfait - I know enough that yours is full of sand and hatred for the white man.

  • @AFS90 - a fag like you would never be near my vagina. even if you were straight. not because you’re white, but because i have standards. so really you’re clueless. <:

  • @BunnyParfait - Hahah, I know right? It’s like the second you give people a computer with internet access, they feel free to say all the stupid shit they can’t say in person, because they’re afraid of getting their asses beat.

  • @BunnyParfait - no man has ever been near your vagina, you dried up bitch.

  • @abcdefgaby - LOL of course. like AS90 over here. well known troll. racist and gay at the same time if that even makes logical sense. obviously a punk ass bitch who would get his ass kicked by pretty much anyone.

  • @abcdefgaby - Im sorry, youre right. Arabs are not lower than blacks. Yall are smart as well….and are an addition  to life. Yall dont multiply and divide all over the nation relying on the govt, AND, yall have good food.

@BunnyParfait - typical black girl. That attitude is WHY yall are at the bottom of the food chain. At least be like Obama and portray to have some intelligence. But what can I say…blacks come with attitude and ghettoness that cannot be cured no matter where they go…even in Paris blacks act like you. Its a shame…its a curse..its………..how it is. Sigh. I told you its going to be ok….but I recant my statement, for you, its Not going to be ok.

  • @AFS90 - actually a few have. as well as a few women. jealous?

  • lol….even black guys dont wanna date black girls. Hahahahhahahahahahha. Awwwwwww.

  • @oOBuBBLes711Oo - awe is squinty eyes trying to defend herself even more through the internet? go back to your rice patty mulan no one gives two shits about ignorant fucks like you XD

ps: your men have small penises. its why i stopped fucking them. <:

  • @oOBuBBLes711Oo - i’m dating a black guy actually. o_o hm. who are you dating? OH NO ONE because even asians are ashamed of you. <:

  • @BunnyParfait - not a creature on earth is jealous. so now you’re an angry, black dyke. perfect. that explains everything.

  • @BunnyParfait - Hahahah. What I want to know is how someone can call Arabs “sand niggers”, when a bunch of them (like me) are almost as pale as an albino dude?

@oOBuBBLes711Oo - She isn’t even black though? And even though your way of making generalizations about ethnicities makes you sound extremely ignorant, thanks.

  • @AFS90 - ah you’re one of those people that are illiterate. i’m not seeing how i’m black; i’m arab. .. and a dyke is a lesbian. not a bisexual like myself. faggot. <:

  • @abcdefgaby - especially considering 1. not all middle eastern countries are covered in sand, and 2. the word nigger is a derogatory word for those stolen from the OTHER side of africa.

if anything these bitches are the “niggers” since my people enslaved them. :’D

  • @BunnyParfait - you look pretty fucking black to me, you dumb dyke-nigger.

  • @AFS90 - and you look like you would burn well on a stake oh unoriginal one. :’D

  • @kkraziemoonn - “what about being white in America?”
Almost every TV show is about being white in America.

    “what about white history month????”
Turn on the History channel. White history practically 24 hours a day.

“why is it not a hate crime when a black person beats a white person to a bloody pulp?”
It still is if they do it because the guy is white.

“why are there more scholarships out there for you if you are black?”
Because our capitalist system coupled with America’s slowness to instill equal rights have resulted in a shit ton of poor people who were formerly second class citizens. Imagine a running race where certain people are allowed to train for it, and certain people are not. Of course the people who were not allowed to train will be at a great disadvantage.

“why can a white person be called cracker..or whatever the hell else names people have. but you use a bad name against a black person and its like WOW! that was so wrong..”
Because that was what white people called black people when black people were their slaves. “Cracker” is just an insult. “Nigger” implies the racial dominance of white people and the inferiority of black people. It is intended to hurt deeply.

“why can black people use those names to each other and its cool.”
It’s not cool most of the time. When it first became “cool,” it was the black community’s attempt to take the word and strip it of its power, to redefine it. It has been, for the most part, unsuccessful at that. Most rappers who say it now don’t seem to care about the significance of why they do it. It’s still a hurtful word, with centuries of history that have only recently begun to turn around.

  • @BunnyParfait - Hah, seriously. People are fucking idiots.

Also… a gay kid is calling someone a dyke. Uhm… am I the only one here that senses the irony?

  • @BunnyParfait - Baby, Im pretty thats why you noticed my profile pic in the comments to reply…… My eyes ARE what guys love. Like I told you, I cannot find a single thing bad about asians. So continue all you want but I know you wish you were me. Or…any other race besides what you are. lolololololol.  Awwww. I feel bad for even saying that. Ooops.
Trust me when I say…if black guys had a choice to choose any other race other than black girls…they would. Yall are their Last Resort. Deny it all you want….its the truth and will always be the truth.

@abcdefgaby - Do you not see that black bitches nappy hair and the nose of a wild gorilla? I know she tried to cut it out, photograph herself where she can hide most of it (the naps)…but you can still see it. Ignorance? Na honey, its called__I dont give a crap about black bitches. They have no value here except to bring entertainment to our lives…..but…who needs that? Its not vital to life.

…sigh….ok enough talking to children. I gotta get my beauty sleep so I can go to to work and saves lives.

  • @Iobot - THANK YOU. Finally someone of intelligence. :’D

  • @BunnyParfait - oh, well I’m only emulating your originality.

  • @abcdefgaby - LOL He clearly has no sense of reality just like fat bubbles over there. I don’t even bother to read her comments, they spew off rice crust and ignorance.

  • @AFS90 - not quite, you don’t seem to have the ability. :]

  • @oOBuBBLes711Oo - I would sit here and dissect what you just said to point out how absolutely stupid you sound. But I don’t feel like wasting my precious time.

@BunnyParfait - Again, holy eff do these people sound stupid.

Seriously. I’m sure if one of them was to actually go up to a black person and say this. Well… let’s just say it wouldn’t be pretty.

  • @oOBuBBLes711Oo - A lot of men love Asian women because of the negative stereotype that they are more inclined towards servitude and inferiority than other women. It is the fantasy that they are more loyal and thus easily controlled.

Also, they drive so slow that they could never run you over for cheating.

  • @kkraziemoonn - …we are taking steps back. we actually just voted someone president just because of his color. not based on his views and how he claimed he would help the country. people are so damn DUMB and BLIND! WAKE UP IDIOTS!

Listen, bitch– you may not realize this, but many voted for President Obama for reasons extending beyond his lovely skin tone. If you want “dumb and blind,” I suggest you try this experiment:

Take a sharpen pencil and repeatedly stab your right eye. The pain would wash away your stupidity.

  • @BunnyParfait - i’d prefer not to hit my head against a wall until I achieve your level of intelligence and originality.

  • @abcdefgaby - They’re cowards. And the asian chick really needs to get off her high horse because in America they aren’t exactly seen as first class citizens.

I wonder how ass hurt she would be if she knew that all these people that are part black and part asian typically come from poor Asian families that were building the railroads in America, and couldn’t bring their Asian wives with them so they got Black wives instead. Hm.

I have Japanese blood in me and I’m not nearly as ignorant as she is XD

  • @AFS90 - no no sweetie, its called finishing high school and going to collegeeee. then you go and get married…oh wait you can’t. You’re a fag and no one wants to marry you anyway. <:

  • @Iobot - I want to kiss you.  Awesome relpy.

  • @BunnyParfait - Hah, srsly.

I don’t get why people can’t see that there’s good and bad in everything.

  • @BunnyParfait - Vocational school isn’t really considered college, bitch. Where was it, DeVry or ITT-Tech where you received your education?

  • @abcdefgaby - Because they’re stupid and don’t want to take the time to educate themselves. Some people like staying in their own little dream world of opium and rainbows.

    … Oops. :x

  • @AFS90 - Well first it was University of Maryland, but then I added on NC State. Its a better school for engineering really. And soon I’ll be going for my Business degree, but I haven’t chosen the school yet. My grandpa is really pushing for American U, because that’s where he went but I don’t know.

Then again you’re a fag loser, what would you know about education?

  • @BunnyParfait - @oOBuBBLes711Oo – I’m Arab, chink. =]

You’re also a cunt who employs Xanga as a therapeutic sandbox. =]

(With an emoticon, I too can get away with using bad words)

  • @CelestialTeapot - Says the troll who always loses arguments. =D I was wondering when you’d pipe in your undesired opinion. :]

  • @BunnyParfait - They just need to put on their big-girl panties and get the fuck over it.

  • @abcdefgaby - Agreed. :D

  • @BunnyParfait - Um, I don’t really give a shit where you went. Did you check off nigger in your application?

  • @AFS90 - No I checked “other” seeing as I’m mixed. Also I don’t believe I saw such an ignorant word on a college application.

Be sure to tell them in the “please describe yourself” section that you’re a fag that gets no action. =D

  • @BunnyParfait - mixed as in half-nigger half-cunt?

  • Dear people of Xanga:

This is the internet. You are all arguing over the internet. Please step back, and take a look at how pathetic this really is.

    Kthxbai.

    OH, and one more thing:
@BunnyParfait - You’re pretty much one of my new favorite people ever. Just sayin’.

  • @AFS90 - No I’m half Egyptian, a quarter Russian and a quarter Japanese actually. I think its about time you douched your vag, stuck a tampon up there and went to bed with your bottle kiddo. Its wayyyy past your bed time. =]

    @abcdefgaby - awe shucks i like you too. :’D <3

  • @oOBuBBLes711Oo - Even worse!!!!!!
Wow!

Gawd, you’re fucking horrible. Ethnic pride and appreciation is cool, but when you trump your skin-tone in ironic racial caricature, you deserved to be kicked your soap box and be rhetorically dissected like a sad little guinea pig.

Fuck you for caricaturizing “Asians” in your pissing contest. Fuck you for dipping down and dragging your own face through this racial sewage. I honestly hope you’re not the racist you let on.

  • @BunnyParfait - looks like the cunt gene is dominant. i’m glad you acquired a new friend. maybe she’ll eat that sand out of your cunt.

  • @AFS90 - No one will be putting their mouth anywhere on you, especially while you’re on the rag shit muncher. <:

  • @BunnyParfait - Says the troll who always loses arguments. =D

You must have hit your head. You’re now self-gesturing in the third person.

I was wondering when you’d pipe in your undesired opinion. :]

You’re a shit-faced malcontent. I doubt you’d find any comment amenable to your abominable taste.

  • @CelestialTeapot - /yawn. :3

  • @BunnyParfait - <—- mentally deficient

  • @BunnyParfait - fortunately, it’s impossible for me to be on the rag. unfortunately for everyone on this planet, it appears that you’ll continue to be on the rag indefinitely.

  • @CelestialTeapot - <— desperately crying for attention.

  • @AFS90 - Actually if I was on the rag indefinitely I would die, and it looks like I’m still alive. Also I don’t get periods so often anymore because of a wonderful pill. =]

  • @BunnyParfait - Wow. You’re mother fucking brilliant with origniality.

You munch up ideas like a bitch eating her own shit.

  • @CelestialTeapot - /yawn. :3

  • @BunnyParfait - <—– stupidity at work. (look for the vacant-minded copy/paste)

  • @BunnyParfait - sadly, that’s true. though, no one really knows how you replenish your daily blood loss. are you on the pill due to a court order?

  • @CelestialTeapot - /yawn. :3

  • @AFS90 - No there’s actually no law against pms-ing. Even though I think there should be. You’d be in jail in no time. And I take the pill because I’m anemic and my periods were lasting for like eight days at a time, which isn’t good for an anemic. So -shrugs-. I’m happily period free. :D

  • @BunnyParfait - ok, so you’re a dumb, black, anemic dyke? did I leave anything out?

  • @AFS90 - Just the part of you having a tiny penis and your father beating you for being a fag while screaming “I have no son” as he shuns you from his family and leaves your faggy glory to burn in a fire like you should die but then you escaped somehow with the help of a magical unicorn and fall in love with a rough trick named Jim.

    =]

  • @BunnyParfait - what does that have to do with you, though?

  • @AFS90 - I started the fire. =]

  • @BunnyParfait - <— gurgles diarrhea

  • @CelestialTeapot - man you’re boring. :

  • @BunnyParfait - looks like you weren’t successful, but that’s a repeating theme in your life.

  • @AFS90 - Yeah I was never really good at starting fires, should have used more gasoline.

  • @BunnyParfait - But seriously— out of the secular bunch who patrols atheistic and Christian entries, you’re by far the worst.

You never muster anything more than a trolly lunge of angry white noise. I really doubt that you have the patience or coherence to frame a proper argument. I understand if you comment and reply as some emotional outlet, but that this is all that you’re capable of— well, that’s fucking sad.

  • @CelestialTeapot - you’re still boring me. :

  • Post-racial society – lmao

  • @BunnyParfait - ^_^

  • @CelestialTeapot - yay does this mean you’ll say something interesting? :D

  • @BunnyParfait - Not to you, cunt. =P

  • @CelestialTeapot - awe shucks. P:

  • No, not all. I think a lot of them will yes because even before the election a lot spoke of how they dreamed of a black president.

I hate being lumped into my age group because it’s my age group that put him in power. We tend to think in way the exaggerates everything. We’re starry-eyed mama’s children lusting for action and change that we won’t ever come close to understanding. We got glassy-eyed knowing it would be our generation credited with the success of the first black president. We weren’t being color blind, we were blinded by color. And it’s that same irritating blind allegiance that I see so much of in the black community. I don’t care that he’s black. I don’t like him cause he’s dumb.

I just wish more people could get the mud slung election and propaganda out of their eyes so they can see clearly exactly what is going on.

P.S. I have no political party because I hate most politicians in general.

  • It’s comment threads like this that make me wonder why we still procreate.

  • @BunnyParfait - Better luck next time. ^_^

    Sleep tight.

  • @CelestialTeapot - :D will do.

  • No, black people aren’t stupid.  Would white people support George W. Bush no matter what he did?  What a stupid question.  Black people- and all people of color- will support him because they agree with him.  It doesn’t matter what color you are; if you only support someone because of their image, what people tell you to believe, or what color they are…then you’re a fool.  There are poeple who do that…black or white.

And his ratings, as far as I know, aren’t going down.  He’s a great president.

  • I support president obama he is trying to make a change and at least he admits there are going to be changes and decisions that the american people are just not going to agree with but the same can be said for every president who has been in office. but i do believe not because I am black but he is trying to make change I know it does not look like much but you have to give it time and 6 months is not enough time to make a decision on him right now.

  • Hah! It’s about time someone brought up this issue. I think for awhile, yes he will. I also think at some point, he’s going to screw up to a point where he will lose most black supporters, and it will start becoming “well he’s half white.”

  • @CelestialTeapot - awww, jealous?       teehee.=D      Its great being me….and Vietnamese. I win at life

  • A lot of them will.

  • Yes.

Just like how Republicans supported Bush no matter what he did.

And look what Bush did to this economy….

President Obama has a lot of cleaning up to do and he has my support. We can’t expect him to clean up 8 years worth of a mess in the first six months, first year, or the first two (we probably won’t see the results we want until his second term ). President Obama has vehemently expressed that it will take a long time and it will probably get worse before it gets better. Everything that has happened within the last 8 years is none of President’s Obama’s fault…clearly there’s much work to be done. Let the man breathe.

  • Do you think black people will support President Obama no matter what he does as president?

Many black people will. Many black people won’t. Black people don’t act as a singular entity.

There are also many non-black people who will support Obama no matter what. Every popular public figure has their fair share of fanatics, like the fans who killed themselves when Michael Jackson died, or the ones who still think it made perfect sense to send our military might to Iraq in response to 9/11.

  • yes.

beautiful what this country’s becoming, eh?

  • Haven’t you heard Al Sharpton? Blacks can’t be racists, b/c you need power to be a racist. Oh wait… didn’t a black man just become president?

  • YES, a 97% approval rating cannot be issue based.

  • @oOBuBBLes711Oo - awww, jealous?       teehee.=D      Its great being me….and Vietnamese. I win at life

I’m Chinese-American, but just from that, you nor anybody else should be able to conclude shit about my life. If anything, judging by your shitty-ass sentence constructions and your racial miming you’re not making holistic work of life– not where there’s “English,” “reading,” “comprehension,”  “civics,” and “history.”

  • @oOBuBBLes711Oo - “Me so racist. Me give you bad time. Two dolla for racial disparagement. Two dolla! Two dolla!”

  • @kkraziemoonn - I didn’t vote for Obama because he was black. His color had nothing to do with it.

  • i’m still willing to give him a chance, i think he’s just learning the ropes.

i think it is ignorant to try and guess what one race will do over another; though i also think it would be ignorant of african-americans to support him blindly.

  • He’d have to pull a Michael Jackson to scare em’ all away: “AHH!! He’s a cracka now, run!!!!”

  • Yes.  I live in Atlanta with a high black population, so a good portion of our friends and co-workers are black, and most are pretty loud and proud and blatant about their support for Obama simply because he is black.  Most of our co-workers couldn’t tell you one single thing about his policies, what he has or hasn’t done or anything that’s in the pipeline, they are just thrilled that it isn’t an ‘old white man’ in office.

  • I think a lot of people will.  Mainly because they don’t want to believe that he really hasn’t done much yet.
I don’t, however, think it will be only blacks.
I know plenty of white people who still think he’s the savior.
They want to believe he’s doing something great, giving us this promised change, although I haven’t seen it yet.
No one wants to realize we might not get the change we were promised, so of course they’re going to support him.
    But hey, that’s just me.

  • @Luvlystarr - Um, no.  Not all Republicans supported Bush no matter what he did, especially when he supported and pushed the first bailout bill through.  A good portion of people I know, to include myself, have completely denounced the Republican party waaaaaay back when Bush was still in office (but you won’t hear anything about that on CNN or mainstream media).  Obama is doing the SAME thing Bush did, but worse and on a larger scale – spend, spend, spend.  No one expects him to clean up the ’8 year mess’, but we should at least expect him to stop adding to the trash pile.

  • @StartxWearingxPurple - I have to agree.  I don’t think the blind support will come ONLY from the black community.  I think people have been hanging on so long for that promised ‘change’ that there will be a lot of denail.  There is a lot of change going on, but I don’t think the end result is going come close to the fantasy that so many had.  There was so much hatred for Bush, it was easier to go completely in the other direction.  Emotion totally ran this election.

  • @DirtyAndShaken - Sure if you say so. We’ll see.

  • Maybe?  I don’t know.

  • Do men like Megan Fox even when she sucks as an actor?

  • I don think African-American support of President Obama is no different than the Evangelical Christian support of President George W. Bush or the Catholic support of President Kennedy. The Mormon approval rating of former Governor Romney in MA or that from the Indian-population of LA for Governor Jindal is probably similarily skewed.

It is unspectacular for members of a minority group to be more appreciative and understanding of one of their own. The implicit understanding is that the Obama’s, Bush’s, Kennedy’s, Romeny’s, and Jindal’s would lean towards the issues and the policies of their home communities.

On face, it’s racism; but more substantively, it’s self-interest.

  • The trolls beat the hell out of each other on this one

  • Pretty much. We will give him the benefit of the doubt. Lol.  He overcame a lot to get there, he’d have to do something pretty drastic to lose my support. Hey, just being honest.*

(*Note: I DO NOT speak for all black people. Just me.)

    Peace.

  • No, of course not.

  • TheTheologiansCafe  is such an instigator!  You all are feeding his addiction on starting Xanga wars.  Whatever you disagree on with Obama, stand up, take action, and write to your congressmen.  This is crazy.

  • I voted for Obama because he was articulate about the issues that concerned my generation and he seemed eager to get on the ball prior to getting into the White House. Unfortunately, he inherited a much larger shitload which I don’t think he’ll be able to fix in one term. I’m still observing as to whether I’ll vote for him again. I suppose it also depends on his opponent. I do vote for the lesser of two evils. If I wanted to throw my vote away, I wouldn’t bother to walk all that way to the voting poll.

As for your question about the voting preference of Black people, I think majority-wise, yes, they will vote for Obama. Of couse, so will the younger generation because this president has more in common with us. Obama relates more with us than any previous president has tried.

  • Sadly, yes. Since his election was racially driven by the public, it only goes to show that it’d be racially driven when he’s in office. I couldn’t hazard a real guess as to how many are supporting him based on his race; but I know of plenty near me who are supporting him based on his being “black”. If being “black” means being of mixed race, then yeah.

@oOBuBBLes711Oo - Wow, way to be a racist. Moron.

@BunnyParfait - Epic lawlz! Rock on!

  • @animecrazedfool - She does suck alright.

  • @Schristian - XD exactly.

  • Hi Dan, I don’t come here that often, but had to answer this. What has the president done wrong to deserve this? He has been working feverishly to right this nation from it’s disasterous course, plotted by others. The republicans (not all), but most want an off-white america and hate and dispise people of color, they especially hate the color green. I consider this president a man of great honor and hope those decent republicans see what a sub-species that party has become and change parties. Sorry to see “sad and shy” leave.

  • wow….some of these comments are hilarious!

  • no, to assume so is to label all black americans as ignoramuses.

most black voters are democrats. this is why most black americans support barack obama. most democrats still support obama. i live in one of the most liberal areas in the country, and people still love obama here.

assumptions are really dumb and annoying.

  • @errolmartins - It’s really about the many mistakes and overspending Obama is making. It’s not only Republicans that are starting to become restless and upset with Obama.

According to the Rasmussen Reports, Obama’s approval with Democrats has slipped since his inauguration to 58%; where it was at 79% at his inauguration (citation).

  • @mrsprosa - QUIET! No one listens to bad mothers! -wags finger-

  • I’d hope not, but who knows. I can’t make such assumptions.

And for the record, your plugz do not get on my nerves.

  • @CelestialTeapot - You’ve obviously never read anything by “In_Reason_I_Trust” then.

  • no
    i dont think so .

  • It’s a big possibility.  When it comes to Obama, I feel sort of bad for him.  He is genuinely trying to do some good in this country.  He had so much on his plate when he came into office.  When there is a cluster fuck to deal with, things aren’t going to change over night.  Sure, we may disagree with certain things, but that is common.  Tell me what president had complete support of all the American people?

  • @Schristian - I think Hector makes more of an attempt to engage the substance of the Christian entry or comment. Even if he snears and brings out his sledge hammer, it’s to the understanding that there’s an underlying rebuttal that he’s too annoyed or too impatient to pull out.

Our loveable Buddhist seems to go straight to the name-calling. She makes it a policy to beat down Christians solely with her disdainful disses.

  • @CelestialTeapot - Again, that’s exactly the way Hector runs his arguments. I’ve never really read any of her rants, so I can’t really comment. But I’ve dealt with Hector long enough to easily say that the majority of his arguments revolve around his disdain and hatred of anyone who has a religious belief. Going so far as to actually DEMAND religion be eradicated.

  • @Schristian - Haha. Yeah. but he actually critqiues and parodies elements of Christianity. It doesn’t make for roboust debate with Christians, but I think it serves a niche.

With Bunny Parfait, there ain’t no substainative base for her disdain (at least, not one that I can gather). I don’t particuarily dislike her, but I can’t help but be annoyed by her comments from time to time.

  • I had no idea there were so many young racist children on here. How did this happen? And why don’t you delete these people from your friend list? Ignorance is rampant I feel sorry for these kids if they grow up and keep this mentality.

  • @CelestialTeapot - Hm, then maybe we’re talking about a different guy here. I’ve rarely, if ever, seen an intelligent, or satirical comment or entry from him. He essentially uses Bill O’Reilly tactics to try to force his views on everyone else; and usually makes an ass out of himself.

  • Oh come on who cares, these BS polls just perpetuate stereotypes. Lets be honest there are people who are going to support him no matter what he does and there are people who are going to criticize everything he does regardless of his successes, but turning it into a racial issue disgusts me

  • @MonkeeAramda - I had the same reaction. The failure of public education was never so apparent.

  • @Iobot - I blame the parents personally, public education can only be expected to do so much. If this is how the kids talk imagine how mom and dad must talk around the dinner table.

  • @CelestialTeapot - Hm? My name is in a cunt’s mouth? Oh right. I actually don’t target certain groups of people, I hate most people. The farther you go into your journey as a Buddhist the more annoyed you get with other people’s stupidity. =]

  • @BunnyParfait - Hm? My name is in a cunt’s mouth?

Wouldn’t have guessed that your cunt self-entertained in semantic taste.

Oh right. I actually don’t target certain groups of people,

    Right.

The farther you go into your journey as a Buddhist the more annoyed you get with other people’s stupidity. =]

Pity that your sight can’t turn inwardly.

  • @CelestialTeapot - Its cute how you obsess over me, but you’re just not my type. =]

  • I had to skip past the childishness that’s gone on above, so this may have been mentioned, but you seem to be suggesting that “blacks” are more concerned with the President’s skin color than with his performance and that this is a bad thing.  It seems to me that you’re suggesting that we should behave like we live in a post-racist society and that we should judge all by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

I think that way too, to an extent.  But the fact is that we still live in a society where a black man can be arrested for not showing a white police officer an amount of deference that the white police officer deems.  As long as we let white assholes wear a badge, who can blame a black for wanting a black in the highest office no matter his performance?

The same thing that happened to the black Harvard professor on his own doorstep would never ever ever happen to you or me.  Never ever ever ever.

  • @BunnyParfait - Great to know.

  • I don’t think his support has changed at all!! He won the Popular vote in the election 51-49%. It’s just he had a “landslide” victory just the way the electoral college system works. Yeah, unfortunately, “blind allegiance” does kind of cover it. Regardless of how awesome or crappy a candidate of any election is, there will always be a number of people who are for someone just for one reason. People voted for Hillary because she’s a woman, among other examples. Comes with large groups of people voting for someone in general I guess…

  • AB – SO – LUTELY!!! The same goes for the WHITE BO supporters.  Heard a black co-worker say nearly that exact thing. “I don’t care where he goes or what he does, we finally got a black man in the White House. That’s all I care about.” This same man told me he thought Joe LIEBERMAN was doing a great job as VP.

  • yea

honestly, I don’t think black voters even know what he’s doing, so they can’t even disagree since they don’t know what’s going on. They just think, Oh it’s Obama’s idea? then I support it……….

I’m starting to really hate his guts!

  • @Schristian - If president Obama was white, he wouldn’t recieve any opposition or critism. If you look at the clucky christain coilition, religous right, silent majority, (no wonder they were silent) they are 98% off-white. All of the econimists agree that this money had to be spent. The reason he’s getting flack at this time is because of health care which most off-whites already have and don’t care about the rest.

  • @kkraziemoonn - I really hate to say this, but, you need a serious history and reality check.
I could go on and on with you, but I will try and sum this up as much as possible.
Unfortunately, you would never truly understand because of your environment.
Now, growing up, and in all your history books, what did you see? The history of America right? How was this country made? By the rejects of British society who thought one dimensionally. Of course that’s not what the history books exactly say, but looking at pictures, that is what we are made to think. When in reality, this country is built by people who were brought here without consent, who for centuries had to prove to white people that they were human too, and should not be treated as animals because they spoke differently, looked differently and believed differently. Sounds familiar? If not, look at the last few years of history with discrimination of people.
Have you ever heard the term “History repeats itself?”
Now the reason those scholarships are there are to give “minorities” an opportunity to attend schools that in the past have not accepted them. Its not just black people that have scholarships, just about all races have their own scholarships for their people.
Black history month used to be only a week. But after a fight it became a month. And since when you open history books, and you aren’t taught about how all different races built this country, black people wanted to be recognized for what we have done too, since our ancestors built this country just as much as any white person is given the most credit for.
With the rappers…well, you can’t judge ALL black people on what rappers say. I don’t think ALL white people are how Jeff Foxworthy describes them in his stand up. So to say we use a certain word to each other is not true. I know more people that are against using that word than using it.
I hope this enlightened you, and if you ever feel you have any questions you are more than welcome to ask me. I have a lot of friends that aren’t black that don’t understand a lot of things, and ask me to explain it to them without being too offended.

  • @errolmartins - Actually, once again you’re wrong. Bush was overspending during his stay in office, and received TONS of opposition from both parties. But it’s nice to know you’re ill-educated on the matter. Just a good show for the racist overtone of your argument. Obama is making mistakes, major ones. He’s being held accountable, just like EVERY PRESIDENT HAS. To say that him being white would entail NO opposition is to seperate yourself from reality; and admit to being blatantly racist.

    But nice try.

    @BunnyParfait - I don’t think that’s what Buddhism is about.

  • @BunnyParfait - nope..there isnt anything missing..that’s the story..

  • you guys have way too much time on your hands.. get a job or do something productive.. man

  • Not all black people are Democrats, so no, not all black people will follow him regardless.

  • @BunnyParfait - why are we still trying to make up for it??? we didn’t have anything to do with it. and the black people who are alive today didn’t have anything to do with it.  why are we still having to try and make up for the mistakes that happened so many years ago??? its ridiculous. as long as we stay in this way of thinking. we will always be held back and always be a much more racist country than if we would just move forward. if your family killed my great great grandmother. i wouldn’t expect for you to have to be kissing my ass today. i always think its HILARIOUS when people add stuff into their response that has nothing to do with what we are talking about. because they really don’t have anything to say. they are just pathetic attempts at trashing someone… stuff like

**Is it because you don’t strive for that much in life? Its no one else’ fault you didn’t get far.**

as if you know me at all…lol.

yes..its has everything to do with the election. if he was white instead of black. with the views that he has…he would have lost.

  • i think obama needs all the support he can get, he became president during a tough time

  • @CelestialTeapot - @AFS90 - @BunnyParfait -@oOBuBBLes711Oo - You’ve all heard the one about the commonalities between winning an argument on teh interwebz and the winning the special olympics, right?

PS: Thx for the rec, Bunny–you rock socks.

    @abcdefgaby - Agreed.

  • @theacematt2 - I wasn’t really arguing anything, though.

  • @theacematt2 - Yeah. Being a contestent in the special olympics would give me warrent for slitting your throat and then getting away with murder.

In debate, the most I can muster are rhetorical poundings to your self-confindence.

  • @Iobot -

**Almost every TV show is about being white in America.**

bull shit. every show on tv today is a mix of all races..

**Turn on the History channel. White history practically 24 hours a day.**

lie. it shows the history of everything under the sun.

**It still is if they do it because the guy is white.**

yes. maybe. but it doesn’t matter if a white person did it because the dude stole something from him. and it had nothing to do with race. its still looked at as a hate crime.

there are just as more poor white people as there are poor black people. just as many black people as white people can get into college. when you go into stores. restaurants. anything. its a mix of every different race. white people have it just as hard these days.

if that word was so hurtful. they wouldn’t want it said at all. instead its used everywhere in everyday conversations. and everyone grows up singing it in rap songs. its everywhere. but white people..keep it outta your mouths! that to me. sounds racist.

  • no. I don’t support a great many of his decisions. “Approval” however is hard to say. I think he’s doing better than the former President but that just puts him about in line as your average President so far and I think NONE of them have done a particularly good job. I only think Obama is doing more toward promoting policies that I believe in than his opponent would have or any other republican candidate is likely to. And I base that on the words i’ve heard most candidates versus the actions of Obama.  But there were certainly other Democratic candidates I would have supported more than Obama had they been selected.

So I can only say I don’t approve of President Obama’s  performance so if I were called in such a survey I’d say no.  But I do support him in that I think he is *more* right than a majority of his obstructionist opposition and critiques.

Being black has something to do with it but it’s not nearly all of it. If it were Michael Steal would be more popular and Chris Brown wouldn’t be on the frying pan right now.  But if you listen to the entire speech Obama gave to the NAACP you can see clearly he’s telling them EXACTLY what they want to hear and in the style that they want to hear it. He sounded very much like a preacher in the style of Martin Luther King. That’s a huge part of why they support him. The fact that he has advocated policies that involve a better wealth distribution is a big part of it too.

  • @CelestialTeapot - ooo..struck a nerve did i. lol. you look like an idiot yourself getting so worked up. he had the most ridiculous views. that people would usually stand up and fight against. he is NOT a good president and i could have told you that before he even got up there.

so look bitch. im not racist. and thats why it irritates me. he won because he was black. thats racist.

  • @kkraziemoonn - bull shit. every show on tv today is a mix of all races..

The sprinkling of token blacks, asians, and hispanics hardly qualifies as a represenative mix. But even more significantly, show production are driven towards the White demographics.

And it makes sense! As the racial majority, Caucasian-Americans are the natural target audience.

**Turn on the History channel. White history practically 24 hours a day.**

lie. it shows the history of everything under the sun.

I bet you’ve taken world history in high school. I bet you were too stupid to realize how the “world history” was presented with an Euro- and Ameri-centrism.

Statistics tell us that compared to Caucasian-Americans, African-Americans live disproptionately under the poverty line. Yes– poverty is a colorblind plight, but it just so happens that historical injustices and present socio-economic factors have left African-American families disproptionately inpoverished.

  • @kkraziemoonn - …he [Obama] had the most ridiculous views. that people would usually stand up and fight against. he is NOT a good president and i could have told you that before he even got up there…

In the replied comment, your articulation didn’t extend beyond “Black people are stupid for supporting Obama!” If you wanted to elevate commentary above the muck of ostensible racism, you should bother elaborating your points.

so look bitch. im not racist. and thats why it irritates me. he won because he was black. thats racist.

Sure. The predominately Caucasian constituency voting for Barack Obama in the Presidential Election was racist.

As for African-American support, they normally tend Democratic. There was only a small discrepancy between the low 90%-ish support for Clinton, Gore, Kerry and the mid 90%-ish support for Obama.

  • @CocoSoulBeauty007 - lol..no..i really don’t

i don’t know what school you went to. or what books you looked at. but we read/watched movies about the history of everyone.  history sure does repeat itself. but the racism today is towards white people. black history month is looked at as..wow..they deserve this whole month. for all the things their great great whatevers went through. equal rights! but if they had a white history month. people would be like. what are the kkk running this channel. whats with this racist white history month shit. im tired of having to live in a country where we are still making up for stuff that happened so long ago. its making for a very racist place.

  • @CelestialTeapot - did i use that word? no i don’t think i said that..and first off you response had nothing to do with the piece of my writing you posted above it. i said no where that black people are stupid. don’t try and put ridiculous stuff like that in my mouth. ever. i would never say anything like that. and i didn’t say that they were the only ones who voted for him just based on color. get that straight. no matter which way you try and put it. it was a election completly based on do you want the white guy or the black guy to win.

  • @kkraziemoonn - did i use that word? no i don’t think i said that..and first off you response had nothing to do with the piece of my writing you posted above it.

The quotations was meant to indicate an imprecise paraphrasing. But you did indicate the meaning. From an earlier comment of your’s:

“…we actually just voted someone president just because of his color. not based on his views and how he claimed he would help the country. people are so damn DUMB and BLIND! WAKE UP IDIOTS! “

    ———————————–

and i didn’t say that they were the only ones who voted for him just based on color.

By extension of the context of this entry– that Obama’s approval rating amongst Blacks is 97%–  you’re making an implicit condemnation of Blacks.

  • **The sprinkling of token blacks, asians, and hispanics hardly qualifies as a represenative mix.**

what channels are you watching? you must not watch much tv.

**I bet you’ve taken world history in
high school. I bet you were too stupid to realize how the “world
history” was presented with an Euro- and Ameri-centrism.**

lol. gotta love people that add in personal stuff into their response as if they know anything about you.. *thumbs up*

  • @CelestialTeapot - **By extension of the context of this
entry– that Obama’s approval rating amongst Blacks is 97%–  you’re
making an implicit condemnation of Blacks.**

no no no..don’t think so. i said the people who voted for him based on color were being dumb blind idiots.

  • @kkraziemoonn - we’re not trying to make up for what happened in the past. It’s about learning from the mistakes of the past and moving forward.
Nobody would say its racist for white history month. That is what is taught in every school around the country. American history is taught based upon white history. That is why there is black history month to recognize the accomplishments of black people when throughout the rest of the year they aren’t. Its not about just what our ancestors went through. It’s so much more than that. And unfortunately, you don’t know that, because all you see is what was taught to you.
I’m not angry, or faulting you for it, I’m trying to give you another perspective of things.
Racism is not towards white people. It’s white people, who feel that black people are given such the upper hand, when really, its not like that at all. It’s very much alive, and I have experienced it growing up and recently. Until people stop looking at things about color, there are going to still be racism. Getting rid of what steps there are to help blacks is not the answer, because look how the world was when blacks didn’t have scholarships to go to college. There are plenty of scholarships I don’t qualify for based on my color and religion, but i’m not protesting those, it’s for everyone to have a chance.
It’s sooo much happening that you and I don’t see on tv. Hell, I lived through a lot of what people before me fought for me not to go through. And if you don’t see it, you don’t know about it, therefore makes you feel that things aren’t fair for everyone.
To say you’re tired of making up for what happened in the past is disheartening. Civil Rights have only been in place for a lil over 40 years. Nobody deserves to be treated that way. that’s hundreds of years of oppression and discrimination. When one of your friends does somethign to you that is hurtful, how long does it take you to truly forgive them? Imagine someone you don’t know doing something hurtful to you for a extreme period of time? I’m still fighting for my rights as a person, black and female, that you would never go through because you are white.
A lot of what you are saying are assumptions, just because you see certain people doing or saying certain things does not represent the race as a whole. And if you really knew the defition of that certain word, and why certain black people say it and how they say it, it would make more sense to why those individuals don’t like white people saying it.
I dunno why white people call each other Honkeys, don’t really care, and I don’t call my white friends that.
Watching BET wont give you a good perspective of all black people, nor do I expect MTV to do that for me for white people.
One day, really sit down at your computer, and google different states, then look at their small towns, and read thier newspaper articles. Some wont even have online newspapers. But hopefuly you will see what is really going on in this country still.
Don’t forget, America is majority white, so Obama has a lot of white supporters who agree with him. Look at the current cabinet, look at the majority party. Look at the senate, its not all about race.

    PeAce Love Soul

  • @kkraziemoonn - also my young friend, that is entirely your opinion that you are entitled to. People are here trying to give you an answer to what you are saying.
I know more white people that felt the same way about Bush when he was president. And it wasn’t about race.
Oh yeah, just so you don’t think I’m radical/biast/racist, I’m a registered liberal, and my granddad is white, makin my dad biracial, and me quadracial. We’re not gonna go into what my mom is. I’m just as American as, well, whatever people deem being American.

    PeAce Love Soul

  • no. I think that once the kool aid wears off they will see he is a real guy that can make mistakes and is a politician.
Eventually everyone will start to hold him accountable.
He talked a good game to get where he is but he has to perform.

Not the color of his skin…..the content of his character.

  • @kkraziemoonn - CT is a punk bitch and all but you have clearly lost this one. Give it up kiddo.

  • @theacematt2 - That should be an emoticon. New idea to implement XD

  • @kkraziemoonn - ”why are we still trying to make up for it???
we didn’t have anything to do with it. and the black people who are
alive today didn’t have anything to do with it.  why are we still
having to try and make up for the mistakes that happened so many years
    ago???”

For one people still deal with the racist attitudes today and while we may be equal on the name calling (though I’m pretty sure its still worse for minorities considering most people in this country are white) minorities are still being held back from important things like getting into good schools, getting better job opportunities, etc. You’re white so you probably won’t get that. *shrugs* Your ignorance isn’t going to change reality, time to crawl out from under your little rock.

“yes..its has everything to do with the
election. if he was white instead of black. with the views that he
    has…he would have lost.”

Most black people voted for him because most black people are *gasp* DEMOCRATS. And Obama is very similar to Bush in a lot of ways; are you trying to tell me that Obama got elected for his race while Bush didn’t get elected for his religion/race/etc? Because if Obama got elected by a majority of white and black people alike and that’s racism, if that’s what you’re really trying to say then you have no idea how politics work and you’re an idiot for sure. =x

  • @BunnyParfait - Buddhism is about enlightenment; so it really bears no prevelance to what you were talking about. That being: “The farther you go into your journey as a Buddhist the more annoyed you get with other people’s stupidity”

That’s definitely not how Buddhism works. And please, don’t go off on me. I’ve done my research and delving into Buddhist writings. It’s a peaceful, enlightened way of living.

That isn’t to say one WON’T ever become annoyed; but Buddhism teaches to NOT act out of anger, but out of peace and wisdom. Hence why I could never be a full-on Buddhist. I love making stupid people cry

Though I have to say, their “terrorists” are far more frightening than Islamic terrorists. Lighting oneself on fire out of protest? Holeeeee shit.

  • @Schristian - Sweetie no offense, but I never said that getting annoyed was how Buddhism works. And I don’t think I need a non Buddhist telling me that. I personally get more annoyed and emotionally strained by many aspects of the world throughout my journey, not just people. And you don’t even know my motives whenever I comment. If you knew anything about Buddhism you’d know one of our goals is to not be attached to worldly views. Most of the time I play devil’s advocate to get people to think about their beliefs.

And there are no “Buddhist terrorists.” Lighting yourself on fire doesn’t terrorize anyone while it is quite freakishly humorous.

  • Why do you always have questions about black people?  the answer is yes.

  • See 97% of Black people are so dumb and lazy that they’ll welcome Universal Health Care

  • yes, without a doubt

  • @BunnyParfait - you apparently have not gone through the comments to see how many people agreed with what all i have been saying..

  • @kkraziemoonn - Basically no one considered you didn’t say much and ranted off topic?

  • @BunnyParfait - Then do explain what you meant by: “The farther you go into your journey as a Buddhist the more annoyed you get with other people’s stupidity”

And just because I’m not practising it does not mean I might not have some bit of wisdom or insight into it that you may not know about. I really, REALLY dislike when people use the phrase “from someone who’s not a ____”, because it insinuates that that person has less insight into the subject.

You’re right, I don’t know your motives, which is why I haven’t been a prick, but rather trying to engage you on the topic in a mature, adult manner. I found flaw in your statement that I mentioned twice, and was just pointing it out. That’s all.

I know there are no Buddhist terrorists. That’s why “terrorist” is in quotes.
They’re still far more psychologically frightening than actual terrorists. Then again, maybe not; since a Buddhist takes only their own life, while an Islamic takes themself and many others…

  • @Schristian - ”Then do explain what you meant by: “The
farther you go into your journey as a Buddhist the more annoyed you get
    with other people’s stupidity”"

The more enlightened about the world you are, the more frustrating it is to be around people who don’t share that same enlightenment. Think about throwing a Christian in an Atheist society, or vice versa.

And its not that I meant to say you knew NOTHING about Buddhism, plenty of my friends do. Its just that if you’re not practicing you won’t have any idea what the actual experience is like.

And I would probably never light myself on fire, even if it was just for the experience. I saw that on Jackass once and it didn’t end well. =O

  • @CocoSoulBeauty007 - I’m a firm believer that BET is single-handedly destroying all progression for blacks/african americans. Just like WE, Oxygen, and Lifetime are single-handedly setting the Women’s Rights Movement back a few 1000 years…. Though the latter’s programming is starting to trend away from the formula of: “Men = suck; women = heros” that I’ve seen so much of in “women’s programming”. Sexism much?! -_-

People like kkraziemoonn are too entrenched in their own bigotry and racism to understand reality. It’s best to just hit them in the back of the head repeatedly with a whiffle bat.

  • @BunnyParfait - Well, I do have Buddhist values in my belief system. If you’re referring to meditation, then yes, I’ve never experienced it. Unfortunately, my brain is overloaded with trying to process things at a nominal rate…

But, again, the phrase really isn’t a valid one (no offense), because to me, happiness and enlightenment are universal feelings. Just because one may not understand the CAUSE of happiness/enlightenment doesn’t mean one wouldn’t understand the experience itself :)

Do you believe in Karma and reincarnation too?

My buddy Semo wants to light me on fire, just once. Hell, if I keep going at the rate I am currently, I might as well just set myself on fire and spare the world from my goddamn tantrums.

  • @Schristian - If you set yourself on fire just tape it for us to see. And yes I’m a very firm believer in karma and reincarnation. However a lot of people misunderstand the two concepts. I trust you know how they work outside of the stereotypes.

    But seriously. Video. o_o

  • @BunnyParfait - Of course I do. Psh. Don’t start underestimating me, woman.

Though I feel my views on them are slightly different than that of the typical Buddhist.

    http://schristian.xanga.com/685351472/zeusianism-religion-philosophy-what/

  • @Schristian - Ah, I agree with the ascension of knowledge and spirit. Releasing an inner Buddha is as close to godlike that I can imagine. A big question is whether or not reincarnation continues even after this process is complete. A lot of Buddhists believe it does. I quite frankly am still torn on the issue.

  • @BunnyParfait - I think life’s too vast to go through it only once :)

  • @Schristian - Definitely. I can’t wait for my new start even though I’ll be mostly unaware of it. xD

  • @BunnyParfait - yes racism still goes on a ton. and lots of it comes from black people. not just white people. and still making up for what happened so long ago and not putting it the past and just moving forward is what keeps racism so alive. look around sweetheart the country is a mix of every race. black people are not still being held back from colleges and jobs. that’s a LIE. and its still carrying these thoughts around that also causes racism. you think stuff is still around that isnt. you wont let it go.

**Your ignorance isn’t going to change reality, time to crawl out from under your little rock.**

lol..youre too funny. as if your little smart ass comments are going to bother me.

obama is not a lot like bush….

im sure some people did vote somewhat based on religion. and obviously not race seeing as there were only white guys running..smart one.

see you need to maybe keep up with what i was trying to say. i didnt
say the fact that they voted for a black guy is wrong. i dont think
that at all. however. he had horrible views. everyone knew he was gonna
be a damn horrible president. if both men were white. he would not have
won…because he isnt the best man for the job. but the fact that he
did win. even though he wasnt the best. means he was voted into the
    spot based on color.

and youre the idiot hunny. get your shit straight before you try and come at me..you should have stopped a few comments back.

  • @BunnyParfait - i have been on this exact topic the whole entire time. say something that makes sense.

  • @kkraziemoonn - Ignoring the lessons of your past makes you doomed to repeat your mistakes. And in case you didn’t notice it DIDN’T happen that long ago. Where the fuck have you been?

“black people are not still being held back
from colleges and jobs. that’s a LIE. and its still carrying these
thoughts around that also causes racism. you think stuff is still
around that isnt. you wont let it go.”

Uhm excuse you dumb bitch? I get called the worst things on a REGULAR. Many RACIST things. And people even tell us to lie on our college apps about our race to get INTO college. You clearly don’t know shit about it.

” he had horrible views. everyone knew he was gonna
    be a damn horrible president.”

Everyone as in who? The landslide majority that voted for him? Right. You’re just trying to pass off your opinion as fact. LAWL.

” i have been on this exact topic the whole entire time. say something that makes sense.”

The topic is Obama and his election and somehow you’re going into white history month and black people getting scholarships into schools. SO on topic. Fuck tard.

  • I am Australian and of part Aboriginal descent and part English, Dutch, German,Russian, Jewish I understand my surname has links with American people as well. I was happy to see Obama president and I guess like other countries inhabitants felt this was a good thing. In Australia only a minority of Australian Indigenous have been elected for Federal or State politics. That said, Aboriginal descendants whom do vote usually vote for their own kind. Indigenous rights would not have been recognised if not for the 1967 Referendum to the Australian Constitution giving Aboriginal people the right to vote. I had no rights in Australia until I was 6 years old.

  • @BunnyParfait -

    i
didn’t say we should ignore the past. i didn’t even say we shouldn’t
learn about it and know everything that happened. i did however say we
should stop dwelling in the past and spending all our time trying to
make up for something none of us had anything to do with. its time to
move forward. being stuck in the problems of the past is only making
    for one very racist country.

    **Uhm excuse you dumb bitch?**
    you
know how ridiculous you make yourself look when you come at me like
this. all you are doing is making it very obvious that i got to you.

    many
people get called many things. everyday. from religious to fat to racist remarks. white people get called names too…every
race talks trash. its not cool. but its life…kinda like how you just
called me a bitch..but o..it wasn’t racist. so it was alright for you
to do that..right? *people* what *people*

**Everyone as in who? The landslide majority that voted for him?**

    yes..them.
which is exactly what i have been talking about this whole time. though
he has ridiculous views. and wouldn’t make for a good president. he
still won. because people wanted a change. wanted a black guy for
president. you following? or should i slow down for you? i didn’t say
it wasn’t ok with me to have a black president. i said it wasnt ok for
a man to be voted up there based on his skin color even though he wasnt
    best for the job.

no no no..the topic is race issues… **Do
you think black people will support President Obama no matter what he
does as president?**  as in…do you think black people will supports
him no matter how much he messes up simply because hes black…pay
    attention…

  • Black people are not more or less stupid than anyone else.

  • Hmm, that’s a difficult question. Probably not. I mean, if he decided to shoot nuclear missiles at Hawaii, we’d all be against him, right?

  • @ehowton - this question is not in any way debating whether they are stupid or not. all that was being asked was…do you think that black people will stick by him no matter how much he screws up because he is the first black president.

  • @kkraziemoonn - Yes, I understand this completely and utterly, and in fact answered accordingly.  To state the same thing from a different perspective, only someone void of intelligence would ‘stick by’ someone in that position ‘no matter how much’ they screwed up based on racial preferences, and I don’t believe an entire demographic would do so.

  • @kkraziemoonn - You’re a little too dumb so just so you know I’m not gonna read this. xD

  • @BunnyParfait - lol.. i know you read it..but what you mean is. you give up. you have nothing to say back. everything i said made perfect sense. and that was your final attempt at attacking me because you think it makes you look cool…just fyi. you have not had a good response to anything i have said.
you think you sound smart when in reality you just come off as a punky shit talker. all your name calling..personal attacks. are only added in to make up for your lack of anything smart to say.  i kinda feel bad for you.

  • @kkraziemoonn - /yawn.

  • @BunnyParfait - are you like five?

  • Do you read all of the comments?

  • I think many people of the black community will continue to support Obama, through his good judgements and his mistakes. I do think, though, that people should give some of his changes a chance. We won’t see an immediate change. But I do understand that some people are wary of the change that will occur. Now, if the country is sent into the darkest of depts, I can see more black people changing their opinions.

  • Yes, yes, YES. It is exposing the racism of blacks.  They don’t care who he is or what he does, he is black and that is all they need to know.

  • Affirmative action in the White House?  Naaaaaah.

Black people, in my opinion, deserve better than Obama. And have plenty better to offer.

  • No.  As a black man I do not think “Blacks” will stand by him regardless of mistakes he will make.  I haven’t the slightest inclination to follow anyone unconditionally and irrationally.

I disagree with the general way our government is run, regardless of who is the president.
President of the united states, is an overrated, underpowered job.

It’s silly and rude, to imply that an entire group of people who are only connected by the color of their skin will support this president because he shares that trait.
That’s what it means, to say that “blacks” will support “blacks”.

People are individuals, and have individual reasoning.
Some folks connect with others through similar experiences.  Often people project their ideals onto a public figure.  When it comes to politics, some people choose to blindly support party lines.  There is also the possibility that a person is attractive based on their actions and character.

These are some of the reasons why someone – whether black or not – would retain approval of a politician.

  • For Obama voters to disapprove of him is just stupid. He’s done exactly what he said he would do. When they disapprove that, they are really disapproving themselves.

  • @esfdyx - agreed. He took office at a very turbulent time, even stating it would take a LONG time before things started to get better. There will always be policies that people do not agree on that come out of the office no matter the president. I think most people expected him to clap his hands and suddenly everything would be fixed or they would agree with everything that happened.

  • @Genki - Agreed. History was made, but history still has to be written. I don’t think we will blindly follow him to hell. There are limits (I hope and pray) we would stop at. I hope people that say yes, blacks will follow him no matter what he does, have been to all 50 states (plus Puerto Rico) and gauged the Obama in EACH individual black community before they say something like that. It’s like me saying all Christians voted for Bush in 2000, overstated and offensive. Not to mention rude.

So yes, I guess I do take offense to people saying this. That’s judging me and you don’t know me. End of reply.

  • @oOBuBBLes711Oo - wow shut the fuck up, seriously. we’re all human, and *gasp* we’re all EQUAL to one another. you claim that you are so much better, but your words are proving otherwise. :) you don’t seem very “smart” either, just by reading what you’ve typed. you fail, stop trying.

@AFS90 - you disgust me with your hatred. ugh, how immature and ignorant can you be?
