No. I kissed someone who smoked once. It was revolting to me.
no
Never! xP
No. Ever licked an ashtray? That’s probably what kissing someone who smokes tastes like.
Unless they smoke pot.
hahahaa kids.
Both my parents smoke so I grew up knowing never to judge someone because they smoke. I would still date them, because I liked them for them. However I would try my hardest to get them to stop.
of course. it may be a disgusting habit, but toss poon away because of rot breath? just no kissing. and come over naked so i don’t smell the clothes. and don’t breathe so i don’t have to listen to wheezing. and don’t smile so i don’t see yellow teeth. on second thought, NO!
I only date inactive smokers.
I always said there was no frickin’ way. But I ended up dating someone who I didn’t know smoked because it was right after New Years’ and his resolution was to quit, so he hadn’t been smoking for the first few times we hung out. Then he picked it up again, saying he was trying to quit, but hadn’t been able to yet. By then, I was already hooked on him, and he spent the rest of our relationship “quitting.”
I don’t have an addictive personality at all, so I’ve never understood why smokers don’t just frickin’ QUIT. I have little respect for people with little will power, and it was a constant argument for us.
i can’t find a date period.
I’ll date anyone who will accept a date offer from me.
i have.
Their habits maybe bad to me, but I dont look at it, there is more to a relationship then how their breath smells. *shrugs*
i have before
not going on a date with someone just because they smoke seems like a really dumb reason to not go on a date with them. IMO there are many other important things to consider when deciding on whether or not to go on a date. anyways, i’m married now so don’t have to worry about the dating thing, but when i was dating i didn’t descriminate if they smoked.
I’m going to say I’d prefer not to–but I don’t know. . .
No. And Dan, that pregnant lady smoking disturbs me. Eh
I did. It wasn’t too bad, I just told him not to smoke before we hung out or went on a date. I did kiss him once after he smoked, but it really wasn’t all that gross.
people have their addictions, their vice. at the time I was into heavy drinking, so I couldn’t say much to him about his smoking.
I don’t see why not.
yeah, it’s no big deal.
I have, but I wouldn’t again.
i actually find that most of these comments surprise me. i personally do not smoke and jokingly tease my boyfriend for his habit, but i wouldnt even judge someone’s date-a-bility based on if they were a smoker or not. it really is not a big deal until children are involved, i think.
nope, it’s a huuuuuuge turnoff.
Doubtful.
No. I like my men minty fresh.
well i occasionally smoke but I’m not addicted or anything, I dated a heavy smoker for about a year.. and honestly it’s no picnic. He’s the one who started to get me to smoke and he was always trying to bum change off of me so he can buy a pack.. and worst of all.. it tasted kind of gross during oral sex.. YES smoking does affect how it tastes. So no i will NOT date a smoker ever again. And I’m done smoking myself for good! I wouldn’t want my new guy I’m dating to have to deal with me the way I had to deal with my ex.
Depends on how much they smoked. As long as it wasnt all the time. I dont mind a cig a day or something though.
It’s certainly not on my wish list.
I have, but he claims he wants to stop. Damn you army stereotypes for being true.
What do you mean actively?
I married him… we both smoked at the time. Now only he does and it’s gross.
I would if I didn’t know that they smoked. For any other reason, I wouldn’t. Unless I really, really, REALLY loved him.
Yeah. Who am I to judge.
Sure. Would I keep dating her after she tries to quit and gets fat? Nope
nope
mMmm not likely.
I doubt it. It kind of turns me off.
i always said no. but my husband started smoking about 6 months ago. he won’t quit, and I hate it.
Yes indeed, it’s not a deal breaker.
Nope. It’s one of those things that I couldn’t get past. I tried that once, and just the constant smell (and taste when kissing them) was too gross. It’s not a moral issue, it’s just yick.
… Maybe… ;D
Not sure. Definitely not a whiny one that was always complaining about smokers’ rights.
I don’t date, but even so, one of my requirements would be non-smoker.
I have before. Of course I’d prefer someone that didn’t smoke, but it’s not necessarily a deal breaker.
Well I don’t plan on dating, but I don’t even know anyone (more than an acquaintance) who smokes.
I probably would not though . . . I don’t want my husband dying of lung cancer. And the smell is positively revolting.
I’m currently dating a smoker. We smoke together! We share cigs I guess it’s just not that big of a deal to us. We just do everything together
I couldn’t do it. Cigarette smell makes me gag.
I have dated guys who smoked before. I don’t mind it. I just chose not to.
Been there, done that. NBD.
Dan…I am shocked you haven’t touched what went on in Pittsburgh today
That picture’s silly.
And no. No no no no.
yeah no problem. smoked weed? even better
Nope. I can’t stand the smell of smoke.
Well, I am actively smoking, as I am currently on fire again. Apparently being on fire is a turn off. Who knew. I really should see a doctor about catching on fire all the time.
I have dated smokers, but my current boyfriend completely hates it. Now that I’m dating him, I don’t think I could ever go back…
His breath is too nice!
It’s not the most attractive thing, but it really doesn’t bother me too much.
By the way, WTF is up with the picture of a pregnant lady smoking? That’s wrong….
i’ve dated smokers b4… its ehhh alright i guess
Maybe.
NO!
Ergh. In all likelihood, no.
i wouldn’t.
and thank you
Not knowingly.
i wouldn’t let something that petty get in the way of what could be a great relationship. no one is perfect. and not all smokers taste like an ashtray.
not a chance
I might date them, but I wouldn’t kiss them, so they probably wouldn’t want to date me. My now husband smoke occasionally when we started dating. He quit pretty soon after we hooked up because he likes kissing.
I have. Now, though, I date guys who stay away from cigarettes but don’t have problems with weed. [Unless I really, really like the guy or whatever] I sort of think cigarettes are sexy.
nooooope
Nope.
Never tried it before… I don’t know if I would… probably not. And I’ve never smoked a ciggie either. Done plenty of second-hand smoking, though. Not on purpose.
No. It’s disgusting. It smells awful. It makes you look retarded, it make you ugly, and it makes you sick. I don’t need to get sick too.
I’m an active smoker, and so is my date.
I’d like to say no considering my father died of lung ca, but I have been interested in someone who smoked. Attraction makes you excuse some things.
Ah.
here is where I have a bit of an issue. My boyfriend has brought up that he has wanted to smoke.and near the end of july / beginning of august he informed me he had his first cig. Now, he knows how i feel about smoking, so of course i went off about it.I wasn’t very happy, especially because [ to me ] his reasoning for it was not justifying all the cons about smoking.normally i wouldn’t be so bugged about it, but the fact that he knew how i felt made me pretty mad. There were a few times after that first incident where he would inform me that he had infact had another cig.Same as before I went off, because i felt like he was being respectful of how i felt about it. Finally one night, i told him straightup i didn’t want him getting into such a bad and pointless habit. He assured me he would try not to smoke anymore, and as far as i know he hasn’t. He wasn’t even that far into the habit [ not heavily addicted, i actually think he only smoked a total of 5 times tops ] and he still is telling me there are days when all he can think about is having a smoke. Imagine how hard it would be to quit after getting heavily addicted and NEEDING a smoke constantly throughout the day. Personally, I can’t imagine having something so insignificant having such a huge impact on my life, and almost taking control of it.Nothing could justify smoking enough to make me want to start into that.
Smoke isn’t good for health , everybody knows, so why should we smoke ?
No. It is gross and smelly.
yes, briefly… it was rather icky. still sometimes I can’t help be attracted to a smoker, due to their personality or charisma. unfortunately this has happened 3-4 times over the past 15-20yrs.
No way even though if she was the type I would date.
I guess so, but I would tell them not too.
NO!
No.
When I first met my fiance he smoked, but he stopped for me.
Nope.
No way in hell. I kissed a guy once that smoked. Nastiest fucking thing ever.
I thought I wouldn’t. But my fella smokes.
nope. Smoking disturbs me.
Yes.
No.
of course not.
Nope!
Never.
I have. But the guy I’m dating now doesn’t.
Since developping my intense hatred for smoking, I decided I could never marry a smoker. But I met someone who smoked, and realised that sometimes, you can’t stick to all the “check-list”, because you will want someone so much that even if they do that one thing you can’t stand… you can handle it. It isn’t going to work out with him, but he taught me that maybe I shouldn’t be so sure. Of course, I’d prefer a non-smoker… for his own health and that of my future kids, if I have them.
Nope.
Never!!! I can’t stand the smell.
I wouldn’t say absolutely not to this because i have, being a kid it happens alot but i’m not a huge fan of it. i kissed a boy the other day who smokes on the regular and since i’ve quit completely it totally repulsed me. it made ME want to brush my teeth
not if they smoked in the house but it mostly depends on the person
My boyfriend started smoking shortly after we began dating five years ago…it hasn’t stopped me from wanting to be with him…
Sure. But she better be hot.

I smoke cigars and a pipe, and my girlfriend has never complained about it. (She actually likes the smell of the cigars and the tobacco I buy.) Then again, she’s Dutch.
I am sensitive to cigarette smoke, so if I did date someone who smoked, there would have to be some ground rules…
my husband smokes a pack to a pack and a half a day…i can’t stand it but i guess i have to deal with it =/
