They’re a different soda. You don’t say Sprite or Mountain Dew, they’re both lemon-lime soda, but they taste different, so it’s about what you’re in the mood for at the time.

COKE.. I began to love diet coke so much that I had to have on all the time. Come to find out that the poison in diet Coke was giving me a skin rash. I stop drinking soda other then one maybe a week and the rash goes away. I challange all how drink soda LOOK at the back of the bottle and type in all the words and you will find that mast of them are hazardous chemicals that cause cancer. Don’t get me wrong I love soda. But are the risks woth it?

Well, I grew up on Coke and can easily tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi
Coke rules and Pepsi sucks…heh.
Coke has a slightly more acidic taste to it, especially the canned variety. Also, Coke has a “finer” carbonation to it. It’s not as sweet and has more of the cola flavor still intact. Pepsi on the other hand, is more “coarse.” The bubbles seem bigger and more scarce. That and it’s way too sweet. There seems to be more sugar and syrup than cola.
I probably missed the entire point of this post, but in a blind taste test, I can definitely pick out Coke from Pepsi. I’m a Coca-Cola kid all the way. Pepsi always seemed like Coke’s little brother, always trying to copy their style and make themselves more “edgier” than Coke. But that’s just my two cents.

It depends. Coke and Pizza is a good combination, but Pepsi and hamburgers is a good combination too. I drink Pepsi and Coke equally the same and therefore do not prefer one or the other — it’s whatever is in the fridge at the time. I very rarely drink soda out of a can, but if I had to drink Pepsi or Coke in a glass with ice, I would choose Coke. But if I had a choice between the two if they were equally very cold, I would probably choose Pepsi because I find Pepsi more refreshing (which “refreshing” is kind of ironic because soda is just colored acid…mmm). So it really depends on the situation, but ultimately…it doesn’t really matter. They are both equally my favorite carbonated beverage.

I’m still baffled as to how anyone can drink either of these products regularly. I’ve got to have some resemblance of flavor in mine (IE Root Beer, Dr Pep, Mr Pibb) or get some satisfying feeling from drinking it (Sprite, 7Up, Sierra Mist). I’d rather have it caffiene free, if it’s gotta be Coke or Pepsi.

That is actually a very interesting question and the response can be quite telling. My response is that first of all, I generally drink water, any kind of carbonated beverage deteriorates your bones and teeth and robs you of calcium.
Secondly, I always start by asking for Dr. Pepper, and then I will pick Coke if they do not have that, however through my personal experience of life I have found it much easier to accept the Pepsi when there is no Coke without much chagrin and life has been much more pleasant since that decision.
Were we to assume they were both available at the same time in the same place, such as a free market or a private party, I would choose the coldest.

As far as Pepsi and Coca go (the colas themselves, not the related products) I find very little difference between the two [the pilagers should be here any minute now]. But! The other pepsi products on the market make me sick to my stomach, which makes me prefer CocaCola. Besides, my mother is addicted to CocaCola so that is my most common beverage.
[but if put to the test, I can drink Faygo - which I think follows more of Coke's products than Pepsi - and I absolutely adore Jones Soda. I am also becoming fond of Fuze which I would quickly drink in replacement of pop, which says a lot since I have always drank more pop/soda than is healthy]
