Now I know all the Mendywong haters are going to come out and speak against the credibility of the award because she was only on xanga for 10 days when the vote was conducted.  But people have to realize that there was so much drama and fighting on xanga before she came along.  And she spoke a message of peace.

I have a friend on xanga that is a new mother.

She has mentioned in a post or two that she was interested to go out with her husband.  She wanted to get a babysitter.  She mentioned that $10 an hour felt a little expensive for watching one child.  Here is her site:  Shamrocklover

I actually thought that amount was a little low.  It was my understanding that if you had someone out for a few hours, you should give the person $50 just to make it worth their time.

The Supreme Court will hear a case and decide if dog fighting videos are covered under free speech.

A man was arrested, convicted and given a three year prison term for selling videos of dog fights.  There was a law in place that “‘prohibits the knowing creation, sale, or possession of a depiction of a live animal being intentionally maimed, mutilated, tortured, wounded, or killed’ for commercial gain.”  Here is the link:  Link

Some are concerned that the conviction steps on free speech.  The man claims he was selling the videos to make people aware of what was going on.

I was reading a post today and I noticed that in either the post or the comment section someone said it was hypocritical to ask people to send topless photos to them and yet be a Christian.

I thought it was an odd statement because in my view God created Adam and Eve naked.  I have never seen a command that said a person had to be clothed.  So it appears to me that the nudity issue is pretty much a cultural issue not a Biblical one.

Last week Trunthepaige started off a conversation about race and rape.

In listening to all the discussion, I didn’t see the topic of spousal rape come up.  Spousal rape is when a person rapes the person they are married to.

I was just reading a wiki entry that claimed that the Western World was slow to consider rape at a crime because of Christianity. 

The Bible teaches:

“Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
