No. Actually, I’m almost done with my Christmas shopping. I did most of it online, anyway.
Online shopping! Its no secret that retailers have changed their approach this year because of stampedes and losses.
in just a second,,, mafia wars is having a sale on attack and defense items,,, was supposed to start at 12:01 pacific time today,,, im there dude,,,,,
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Psh, fuck no. I’m not in the business of getting trampled by morons in shopping malls buying presents for people they don’t care about whom won’t care about the presents they receive.
The upcoming holidays are about love, not gifts. People seem to be forgetting that.
No way! I have bills to pay…
*sigh*
I have to be pushed, cattle prodded just to go and buy groceries every week. Going to a mall or downtown shopping – highly unlikely. I’ll just send the help.
No freaking way.
Heck no! I’m scared to death to go to a store period on black friday!!!
Food shopping yes
(since we always go to the sales mainly after Christmas in the UK) we wait to the Boxing Day Sales (26th December) or 27th December.
Not on your life.
nope, no money no shopping.
Does grocery shopping in Canada count?
I work today. I’ll be the girl ringing up a ton of shit.
nope
Nope, I slept in…Although my friend had to get up at 2am for work today
No such thing as Black Friday in Canada. I’d never put myself through that shit, haha.
yep, my stock of cereal is almost finished
Yes I am and it isn’t because I want to but I kinda have to, though since there is sales going on I might do some xmas shopping since I can’t afford to spend tons of money. LOL
Nope. I’m not crazy.
I work today. But I work in the evening so I’m hoping it dies down a little, though if not that’s okay. I just don’t want to have to break up catfights.
Just got back!
Hell to the no!
I’ve done that madness once in my lifetime, and trust me…once was enough!
Why is there mad shopping in the US on Black Fridays?
I’m from Hong Kong so i have no idea whats going on….?
Heck no!
No way. I don’t do well shopping with large amounts of people.
I’m a poor college student, so no.
nope..
Hell no, I went last year and it was insane. There were lines for hours and moms fighting over toys. Stupid.
Nope.
nope. My brother told me that wii’s were on sale for $100 at wal-mart today, so we were gonna go. but he was wrong.
Nope! Actually…I guess I did, a little. I stopped into the adult XXX store on my way in to work.
I did not go shopping today. In fact, in honor of Black Friday, I slept in.
Nope. But I am tomorrow! To get a new christmas sweater for my friends & I ‘Tacky Christmas Sweater Party’. LOL Value villiage here I come!
Nope – working.
No way in hell.
I did a little. Didn’t have alot of money and didn’t have time or patience for full out shopping today. I didn’t even shop today because it’s black friday…it’s ’cause I knew I wouldn’t be able to for another week and I’m behind on presents and the whole family works at stores. >_>
been there, done that
Maybe online.
I did. I go only for fun to watch how idiotic some people can be. Surprisingly, this attitude allows me to always get the things that are on my list.
I went to Target/Wal-Mart/K-Mart. I went through the checkout line in Target faster (with approximately 150 people ahead of me) than either WM or KM, where there were only 5 and 6 people ahead of me respectively. No exaggerations there. Retail fail.
I’ve got my bat
I did, I went to a book store and a fabric store. They weren’t too crowded, and it was nice.
No. I am going shopping tomorrow; for groceries.
no. I’m working, selling shit to the shoppers of today.
Nope. I am an old-fashioned homemade gift kind of girl (except for kids). I can’t stand holiday madness. This is my least favorite time of the year. January can’t get her quick enough.
@ImperialDoctrinesOfTheNewWorld - Those are the two places I would LOVE to go to today – not for killer deals, but because those are my two favorite stores to go to and it would be nice to get out of the house. But I’m terrified since both stores are located right in the heart of the shopping madness (surrounded by Target, Wal-Mart, malls, Best Buy, etc.). Traffic is at a stand still from what I heard.
@DirtyAndShaken - Wow that sounds insane. Traffic is a moving parking lot (if that makes sense) in my area. The stores I went to are about 5 miles from the mall, and everybody just bypassed those and went straight to the mall. Try going tomorrow, people will be exhausted from the food and shopping.
I was woken up at 6 am, but was only out an hour. I was back to bed before 7:30. We only went to Sam’s Club and I spent 25 dollars. I’m looking at doing some online shopping.
I was, I do it ever year but when my aunt showed up late I didn’t want to go. I might go with my mom later, but I’m really shopping for myself.
I did, I went to walmart, and even with the coordinated lines the walmart staff organized, people still managed to be idiots. I was happy to have gotten Dragon Age and Left for dead 2 at Best buy too. Haha, they still had some left?! I might stroll on down to radio shack to see if they have any more wii remote chargers.
you couldn’t even PAY me to go shopping on Black Friday. my condolences to everyone who has the misfortune to work (retail) today.
it’s almost noon, and I’m going back to sleep after eating a bit of rice and some lavender bread(yay for being slightly hungover) lol
Sigh…. my youngest was heading out and I didn’t want her to go alone. So one store and back to bed I went. No $$, no need, and no tolerance for that madness anymore
nope. no money
no
NO WAY. I’m staying home today.
@x_harrii - There are always REALLY big sales on the day after Thanksgiving. It’s an American tradition of sorts. The actual name of the day comes from the stock market: to be “in the black” means that Wall Street has gained money (meaning stocks are up) on that day. This is what stock traders want, as the influx of money during Black Friday will (hopefully) stimulate the markets and ultimately, the economy.
I went for the first time… I got 3 dvds and 4 pairs of cheapy hand gloves.
Black Friday is really a hype though.
no
AW, HELL NO.
nope. my bf did some online shopping on amazon though.
Nope! I’m actually selling things to the crazy 4am shoppers, and making money off their spending! yea!!
I just got back a couple of hours ago. Nice long nap after! And I still have cash left :] I need it to buy my concert outfit since none of my dress pants fit anymore ]:
Feed the poor… wait… wrong photo caption. I’m a last minute shopper.
nope…doing yard work today…and saturday…and maybe even sunday….
By the time I woke up my sisters and mom were done with shopping.
No…I went to the movies.
LOL look at those suckers. Internet ftw.
I helped my 6 and 8 year old put a gingerbread house together from a kit and spent the rest of the day cleaning up powdered sugar and dishes. I would have rather gone shopping. hehe
Most are no’s because everyone is at Xanga! Or online shopping.
If only we had this in Canada…
eBay
This is for anyone who works in retail:
FUCK YOU PEOPLE who turn into animals over sales. Fuck you people who will throw stacks of clothing across a sales floor like because its Black Friday, you’re allowed to act like a fucking monkey. I work at Old Navy.I worked 12-7(stayed til 7:45 pm) on Thanksgiving day. They catered in Chicken Parm for us… very nice but not the same. I had to be there by 4:30 but wound up pulling an all nighter, then coming in for 2:45am and more than 50 people were lined up outside the store. I then got shoved, pushed, had to fold the same table a zillion times… but that didnt bother me. it was when I got trapped in a corner in the fitting room and the only way I could get the items of clothing and me out was to twist my back so bad that I slipped a disk, and instead of sleeping after my shift, spent hours in the worker’s comp provided doctor’s office, only to wind up having work restrictions for a week and an MRI needed.thank you, black friday lovers, for making this day suck for retail workers around the country.
I meant to start it by saying, this is speaking for any (most) of us who work in retail***
I went shopping, wasn’t too bad actually got a bunch of really good movies for $3 and $5 and lots of seasons of my favorite shows… hahah i mean my BROTHER’S favorite shows… yeah i got them for him… It was definitely worth it!
