Giving a Woman A Ride To Her Abortion
I have always believed you should expose yourself to different situations even if you don’t agree with them.
So I have decided to give a woman a ride to an abortion. I am currently looking for a woman in need of a ride to her abortion.
I posted an add on craigslist.org. Here is the ad: “I want to give a woman a ride to an abortion. You must be 18 years of age. So if you are needing a ride, just drop me a note.“ Here is the link: Link
I am sure it will get flagged by I will keep posting.
I am not going to pass judgment or try to talk her out of it. I am simply going to listen to her thoughts and do the driving. I will wait for her to come out and we see how she feels after the abortion.
I will report back and tell you how it went.

Hmmmm. Good luck? I just hope no one thinks you’re a creepy perv or something D:
I’ll be impressed if you go through with that, and maybe more so if anyone emails you about it. That would be fascinating.
Well–I hope this will be a good lesson for you and that no one thinks you are a creep or anything.
interesting…
Wow….
I’m curious how this will turn out.
That will be very emotionally draining.
You could be risking your life.
Hey take me! I’ll get knocked up by some black guy since minorities are disproportionately targeted to be killed even before they are born!
that sounds pretty sketch to me, dan.
if i needed a ride to an abortion and i saw that on craigslist, i would probably think you were planning on killing me or some other batshit.
omg Dan.
interestingggg…and also very coincidental that I was watching an episode of nip/tuck earlier and in this episode kimber found out she was preggers but christian didnt want it. so got it aborted….
and then the procedure ended badly and now she is permanently sterilized.
That actually sounds really cool… you might want to keep in touch with the woman too, because she might feel differently about it later on than she does right after it happens. Maybe you should add on your ad that you want them to be a Xangan lol
@ShimmerBodyCream - you aren’t knocked up yet. so lets get to it. anchors aweigh, baby
@sexncookies - nip/tuck? Abortion AND booby implants. yay!
If it works it’ll be interesting but I highly doubt anyone will answer you because it does sound incredibly odd.
lol This is a great example!
i agree with brianna on this one….haha!
Wow, that’s kind of cool.
Interesting.
wow…
omg..
be careful man
@ShimmerBodyCream - <3
wow so u are okay with abortions
Great idea. =]
I think women are going to think you are a weirdo. I would. But then I wouldn’t be looking for a ride to an abortion.
@ordinary_gir1 - OMG, I didn’t even think of his safety!!
Dan, What if it’s some psycho woman who takes your car and leaves you naked on the side of the road? Will you write about that?
Happy Feast of the Holy Innocents, Dan.
I don’t know anymore whether or not to take you seriously, but I am hoping this is not serious at all. It is one thing to post something making fun of a person who died naturally, but another matter entirely to post about wanting to help in the death of a child.
I will pray for you.
Wow…..*shakes head*
If someone takes up a complete stranger’s invitation for a ride to an abortion clinic, then they are in more of a desparate situation than anyone I have ever met.
How can you give a woman a ride to get an abortion? You’re dead, remember?
Does this mean you’ve achieved your goal of helping an illegal alien into the U.S.? You probably shouldn’t answer that.
omg wow please do keep updating
@ShimmerBodyCream - hahaha loveeee niptuckkk. the best show ever.
ohh. i have never even thought of doing that.
Um, alright.
@Ancient_Scribe - Consider Dan a bit of a philosopher with a bit of sarcasm and a flare for social experiments. In regards to this, I would take him seriously in that he is putting himself in the position to give the person a ride because he is genuinely wanting to know what the person is thinking. I would not doubt he would go through with it either. After all, how often do you see him comment on his own posts? He leaves that to everyone else and seeks to aquire complete information from all sides of an issue. Not being too concerned with what people think of his sometimes unorthodox methods of learning and then communcating that knowledge just to further see what people will do with it. Does he push the envelope? Definitely. Do I always agree with his methodology? Of course not. I’m sure you already knew most of this anyway, but I thought it might use saying for the sake of those who don’t get Dan at all.
That would be very interesting.
@rebekah1191 - Even if he is or isn’t, at least he’s open-minded. More than can be said about most people.
Dan, you really have to get more original with your photo choices.
Would anything come from this though? It would be the same as giving someone a ride to the mall. Now getting a girl pregnant, THEN driving her to the abortion clinic…now that would be life changing.
@scrambledmegsntoast - ”I think women are going to think you are a weirdo. I would. But then I wouldn’t be looking for a ride to an abortion.”
Yeah– My impression mirrored Meg’s.

The Ad is suspicious on many levels. Rides with strangers are in general, undesirable. When openly advertised on Craig’s List– with all of the internets stalkers, perverts, and charalantans– it becomes suspect.
Even with geniune sincerity, and even if abortion clinic access for your state is shitty, it seems like a tough offer to take up.
Interesting. I’d be really interested to see how that turns out.
@storyslut - If someone takes up a complete stranger’s invitation for a ride to an abortion clinic, then they are in more of a desparate situation than anyone I have ever met.
Many states have passed legislation severly limiting the accessiblity of abortion clinics. Cross-state commutes may be beyond the means of some women.
Interesting… I want to know how that went.
Interesting.
I”d be scared to respond & probably think some crazy, weird, scary thing would happen.
But goodluck.
@rebekah1191 - ”I have always believed you should expose yourself to different situations even if you don’t agree with them. So I have decided to give a woman a ride to an abortion. “
Maybe I’m interpreting this wrong, but I think that says he doesn’t agree with abortion.
Ohhh, Craigslist
so she’s in the car with you. she’s already taken a photo of your driver’s license and tag number and emailed it back to her PC. she is relaxed. as relaxed as a girl can be who is about to have the life inside her ripped to shreds then vacuumed out. and your only questions are basically to ask her how she feels and generalities like that? well i would ask her point blank “what would it take right this minute for you to change your mind and keep the baby to term?” now THAT answer would produce some very positive feedback that could be useful. please be careful on this one as she might answer the ad then have a few relatives waiting to meet you as well.
you’re quite odd sometimes.
Getting a ride to an abortion sounds incredibly sketch, but good luck.
Why drive her there when you could get a wire hanger and do it yourself?
- Kunoichi
are you sure you would want to do it. i mean..the responsibility and all..
you’re going to have zero takers.
interesting, and kinda random!
omg! you do really strange things..
Your ad just sounds bad, in so many ways. I don’t think anyone will call you.
What do you hope to get out of this? A chance to talk her out of it? I’ve gone over several possibilities of WHY a person would place such an ad, and that’s the only one that’s logical.
@KrazeeKunoichi009 - Yeah, and then they could split the money that she was going to use to pay for the abortion!
Nice. LOL.
@KrazeeKunoichi009 - win.
Any woman that takes a ride from a stranger because of an ad posted on Craigslist, is just asking for trouble. If someone does take you up on the offer, there’s a good chance she’s not going to want to talk about it…..you may never hear her thoughts about anything.
If it were me and i wanted an abortion and didn’t have a ride, i’d call a cab.
1) I wonder what kind of troubled soul would actually take a ride to an abortion from a stranger from Craigslist.
2) I’ve always considered giving a ride to the abortion a sort of aiding and abetting of the act. I would not ask someone who was against it to give me a ride, and being against it myself, would not do it either.
3) If it were my friend, I would offer a ride to a pregnancy crisis center or to a doctors appointment or to an adoption agency, not to kill it.
Yeah, that’s kind of creepy. If I needed a ride to an abortion, I don’t think I’d look on Craigstlist for the help. Maybe you should just wait until you know somebody that needs that ride?
ANOTHER THOUGHT :: if you offered to PAY for the abortion, you may get some replies.
Not all experiences are good, and deliberately exposing yourself to things you think are bad is … not a good idea.
That would make you an accessory to murder in the eyes of your wrathful god.
@stardustskye - Oops! Too late.

Your craigslist ad makes you sound like a serial killer with an abortion fetish, just fyi.
maybe you should put something in the ad about not being a crazy pro-lifer – if i saw it i’d think you were going to kill me for trying to get an abortion or something
but nonetheless it’s an interesting idea
for one, its weird that you are asking for this on craigslist. do u not realize how many weird ppl are on that site? and two…. you will have to live with this for the rest of your life… think about it.
Interesting idea
Good for you, Dan! I appreciate the thought behind it. Maybe your kindness will result in her changing her mind.
@The_Female_Essence - he isn’t trying to change her mind-it’s about her emotions about what she is doing-not talking her out of it.
also, trying to talk someone out of it will do nothing but make them want to do it more-it has to be the woman’s decision completely.
@beetunes - I agree lol
@scrambledmegsntoast - I agree with u too.
I don’t really get why you want to give a woman a ride to an abortion clinic. I know you said “I have always believed you should expose yourself to different situations even if you don’t agree with them ,” but I dont get how that lead u to this.
Be safe pls, craig’s list is sketch…lol
A weird experiment.
Uhhh………
Hopefully you don’t get a psycho. Or a drug addict. Good luck!
WOW. If only everyone were open like you are. I’m not saying that I support abortions, but if everyone was willing to learn more about what they don’t agree with and seek information in an open way like that, we’d ALL be better off.
Kudos kudos and UBER kudos.
Awesome!
I had some woman approach me when she overheard me use the word “abortion” to tell me how awful it was and how she came to that realization after giving her friend a ride to the clinic. She then went on to tell me how responsible she felt….bullllllcrap.
I probably wouldn’t answer an ad like that. But I probably wouldn’t be looking for a ride to an abortion either so who knows.
Hrm, everyone has already said what I was thinking. I thoroughly enjoyed reading everyone’s reaction to your post… sometimes it’s enlightening to view the world through other people’s words.
The add sounds a little creepy. You seem like a good person.
you kind of disgust me. Seriously that comes across as completely sick. If you are that morbidly curious about abortion you couldn’t just ask someone who has had one to share personal and private information with you. Way to go hero.
Well ,make sure you have good directions, you know how you get lost.
This should be interesting.
you’re gonna get yourself killed..
This is low
I’m not surprise if someone takes up on your offer.
Some pregnant chic is going to own you and make you wear adult diapers. Then she might shoot a gun at your feet screaming “dance my puppet! dance!”
My friend had one. Before it she felt anxiety, and after she was tired and guilty…as to be expected.
@HappyLemming - I would hope one would go thru a woman’s center or a friend of friend first. Being kidnapped and given a kitchen ceaesarian or worse would be beyond the means too. Especially someone on craigslist specifically interested giving pregnant women rides. Hi Dan! lol don’t mean you.
Wow dan, seriously?
Ohmygod, Dan. That’s…really…weird.
@DarthPatriot - If that’s the case, I hope he blogs about it anyways.
That’s kind of messed up
SorryI wouldn’t have put out an ad, but maybe would have waited for someone….
whelp what if some militantly pro-life chick with a basketball under her shirt shows up and blows you’re head off, dawg
are you out of your mind? sometimes i seriously question your capability of rational judgment.
if there’s a woman who needs a ride to abortion, you are the last person that should give it to her. Don’t use others for your unnecessary and pointless experiments.
Interesting.
If you have any questions about it…you can ask me. I don’t think anyone would respond because she might think you’re going to do something to her.
I think it’s really, really shady to insert yourself into such a sensitive situation and expect this woman to share her thoughts about it with you. Don’t expect her to justify her actions to you. don’t even expect her to talk. She has no reason to.
the offer is just strange. im not a woman, but why would one entrust a total stranger (and probably a wacko) to something that is as drastic and life changing as an abortion? why would any sane woman do that???
if someone you know asks you (where she trusts you before even asking) then that’s totally different situation.
umm . . . wow! I hope no one mistakes you for a creeper.
You have a knack for meeting strangers, don’t you?
@kissmebrutally: Good effing point. While I appreciate the openmindedness involved here, don’t treat the woman like some sort of circus act. This is a horrible experience for anyone to go through and it disturbs me that you think you could go into the situation without bias or emotion.
Your obviously a risk taker and you don’t care if you get caught.
interesting . . . but I dont’ think many women would trust it.
you’re strange.
They’ve already flagged it. But I like your idea.
I don’t see anything wrong with this idea.
I like this idea, actually.
I wonder if anybody will actually agree for you to take them.
Oh well, if I ever need a lift, I know who to call!
Dan – this disappoints me greatly. It is not a joke, to that end, I have canceled my subscription to your site.
interesting.. do keep us posted if you do get a response
Its very easy to know what she’s thinking… perhaps to even it off you should also put up an add for a lift to a “one night stand” for a bloke.. Its the same thing.
In Ireland we don’t have abortion –
