Yes! it’s one of my favorite books…and from the previews it looks like they’ll stick to the book and not go off track
Nope. ^^
Not really.
YES !! it looks good I didnt read the book though
It doesn’t matter how much xanga advertises something, it doesn’t change whether or not I will see it. Rottentomatoes usually helps me decide how to spend/waste my time.
I don’t know as a movie where it seems like you should get raped and killed so you go to heaven is my cup of tea.
I’ma see the Book Of Eli. Nothin’ like the Denz killin’ some white folk.
Nope. I want to read the book before I even decide about watching it.
I loved the book, so I’m iffy. I don’t want the movie to ruin it for me.
hell no!
Meh, I may rent it sometime. It takes a lot to get me into a theater, the strange people there are so obnoxious, opening wrappers, kicking your seat, talking, etc…no thanks.
How much are they paying you?
Not really, no. Sometimes I think I might see it, but then I don’t think I actually will.
I decided not to.
I might download it… I won’t bother to see it in theaters.
No. I heard they wrecked it, that the movie isn’t true to the book, and that makes me mad.
no. i read the book, and it was good, i guess. but movies that are just overly advertised are a huge blegh to me. i’ll probably wait until the dvd comes out or something.
Now that I’ve had to look at Ads for days, I am even *less* inclined to give a shit.
uh, no.
No thanks. I haven’t read the book yet.
Nope. I’d rather read the book.
Maybe, but not while it’s in the theater. I heard they changed it quite a bit from the book…and I liked the book a lot.
no.
I know nothing about the movie and the picture fails to make it look interesting.
I guess the answer to your question is: NO!
um wtf is that
I want to read the book…
No, but I’ll check out the book if I can find it for a decent price or at the library.
Nah, Book of Eli looks a bazillion times better.
i saw it and loved it!
Yes, I read the book and was very impressed! My best friend saw it and recommended it too.
I plan to for a few reasons, but not in theatres. I plan to see it because 1. It takes place in norristown, which is about an hour away from where I live
and two, because I came across the book for free, (since i’m not one for super popular books, I read twilight before anyone else even knew about it….so that doesn’t count!!! ) So yeah. I will see it. just not now
YES why all these people H A T I N? shoot that book was amazing and it does like they will stick to the storyline….it doesn’t matter if the movie ruins the book it’s the whole the book was better anyway thing but yes i do really want to watch it.
Yes, the book was great.
Already did.
Possibly. My brother has read the book and I hope the movie ends differently….
No, but I wasn’t interested in the first place.
I want to read the book first but I will defiantly after.
Not really. Then again, I rarely go to the movies these days.
I tried to watch it last month. We (38 year old M, 15M, 13F) got about 1/3 of the way through it before losing interest.
btw, we own the book
I did. It was really good. I haven’t read the book, though, so maybe they totally did a horrible job of adapting the movie. But Peter Jackson is one of my favorite directors, and I think he did an excellent job.
@The_Pyrate_Wenches_Ramblings - I don’t agree. I think it looks like it’s gonna be completely different from the book. I don’t want to see it at all. The book was too good to ruin.
NO. I read up on the storyline and I don’t want to see it.
@afadedphotox - really? from the preview I saw…although short…it seemed similar to the book.
Nope.
@DangerouslyOblivious - If you loved the book, then the movie will be disappointing, according to my friend. I haven’t done either, but he loved the book and said the movie completely missed the point.
To answer the original question, I wouldn’t mind seeing it but I have no money.
Probably, I love movies. But I’m interested in the book as well…Though honestly, I don’t even know what it’s about. xD
Definitely. The book was one of my favorites.
I want to.. but apparently i’m the only one :3 I don’t want to go alone.
I want to read the book first but yes. Looks like something id enjoy.
No.
Yeah, I can’t wait to see it.
Sell out, but no.
Already did. It was breathtaking and incredibly well-done.
I don’t even know what it is. I just heard of it today, basically. But maybe, once I get an idea of it.
I saw it. It didn’t do justice to the book.
I might.
smeagol made a cameo in that.
Nope. I loved the book, but I think the movie looks crappy.
Saw it. It was eh.
Yes, sir I am.
@The_Pyrate_Wenches_Ramblings - they do but the director had a really hard time going from the flashbacks or suzie’s point of view to the “present”.
I loved the book but Idk if I want to see it. I dont want the movie to ruin the book for me, if that makes sense.
I already saw it. It wasn’t nearly as good as the book, but shows a pretty interesting concept of what I perceived to be the director’s view of purgatory. Do you plan to see it?
@elli_monkey - it makes sense…that’s why I don’t want to see My Sisters Keeper….the ending is so different…and I loved the book.
@phuck_diz_shiz - The movie sucks…hard. It’s already been pirated, you can find it anywhere. I saw it a month ago and I wanted to shoot myself for watching it.
I would only suck on a lovely bone.
fishy ones with cheese need not apply
I’m still trying to finish the book.
No! Are you?
I read the book, so I’m interested. I don’t have the money to see it in theaters though unless I wait until it comes to the $3 or less theaters.
When I saw that picture again, I was about to go off. I thought it was another sponsored ad or something. =P
Wait.. Dan, you didn’t get paid to post that, right? =P
I’ll probably see the movie when it comes out on dvd or something. I read the book and liked it, but everyone knows that the movies are never like the books.
But you should download Sherlock Holmes instead…bad ass movie.
Hell yeah. Xanga told me to, so I have to.
heh. yep
i actually found out about it because of xanga lol… though i know everybody’s complaining.
Yep! Never finished the book, but the movie looks interesting. I like their concept.
i want to, i read the book a few years ago.
When I watched the trailer, I was upset because I knew it was too creepy for me (I get nightmares from stuff like that) but I really wanted to see it. Actors I like are in it and the storyline was pretty captivating.
But after seeing it in my inbox everyday, my desire to see it has shriveled up like a 3-day-old melon rind, all curly at the edges and nastified. I will now NEVER see that movie, not because I don’t want the nightmares but because I’m so sick of seeing it plastered in my personal space like it’s a real person with something to say.
I didn’t even realize how much it annoyed me until you asked this. ~V
It was horribly depressing [just like the book] and… to be honest… not all that well done in my opinion. The main character, neighbor, and dad were great actors, but nothing else about the movie was too great.
Xanga’s already ruined it for me, so probably not.
No because the fake post ad is STILL on my page and irritating the hell out of me.
book was good, and I saw and liked the movie but I feel like I wouldn’t have if I didn’t read the book… the movie was a good add on for the book, but my boyfriend didn’t read the book and had a lot of questions.
I was considering it until Xanga bombarded us with their ads… Now I’m so sick of seeing it everywhere, my answer is NO.
No. I didn’t like the book that much. I read a review that said the book didn’t translate well to the screen either. Plus I’m just sick of seeing that girl’s face constantly. No.
I saw it last Saturday and did not like it. The ending sucked.
With all the ads for it on Xanga, I feel like I’ve seen it already.
I already saw it and read the book.
Both are relatively mediocre (I don’t care if the book was a bestseller). The only reason it was interesting was because of its plot, just like with Twilight. It’s not a great piece of literature.
eventually after i read the book but it will be a while.
I will read the book, first!
Lisa
I was planning on it. Been waiting for the movie to come out.
Not really, it dosen’t look that good.
Yes. It’s my favorite book, and I have read reviews that said they did well making the movie.
The book was fantastic, although I haven’t read it since it came out…but yeah, I’m definitely seeing the movie, maybe this weekend.
i saw it and i really loved it. Peter Jackson does it again!
pass.
No. Dan, have you turned traitor on me!?
I saw it already, it’s very good. But you must read the book to understand a lot of it.
nope x.x
great book, great movie!!
The book is fabulous. I’m always skeptical to see a movie after I have read a book, but it really does seem like it follows the book well. Plus, the bad guy gives me the same chill and fits the EXACT image of how I always pictured him… I vote to see the movie
I’ve seen it twice already. The book was better (like always) but I loved the movie. Deffinitly worth seeing!
I read the book a few years ago and highly recommend. I hope the movie will be just as good. It’s a must read!
Saw it.. they BUTCHERED the book
Will write review in a day or so
No
seen it. it wasnt as good as the book, but what film ever is…?
The trailer looked interesting!
I saw it two weeks ago. I loved it. I plan on taking my friend to see it in the 1.50 theatre.
LOL no! I feel like I’ve watched it already.
@IllTroubadour - you can get it paperback – don’t confuse with trade-paper, which is more expensive – for 7 bucks at most bookstores.
Good God, no! I don’t need to see another “ghost solves their own murder” story.
No.
Yes ,I am. Think they will feature this?
No, I’m not. For all its ads and everything, I still don’t really get what its about it. And, what I do see really doesn’t impress me all that much. So, at the moment, I don’t plan to watch it. However, that doesn’t mean I never well. If some day in the future someone comes over and is like, “hey lets watch this, its awesome!” and I have nothing else to do, then I would probably watch it. :p
I read the book. I’m interested in how the screenplay was written- but I will wait until I can rent it.
lol, why Dan? why? Haven’t we had enough of the Lovely Bones around here?!
I saw the movie the day after it opened. I had also read the book before I saw it, and they didn’t screw too much up. I liked it.
I want to. It’s one of my favorite books!
Never heard of it. No, I don’t plan to see it.
one of my friends who liked the book and who loves Mark Wahlberg (who plays the dad of the main character), said the movie was really disappointing. I also read it and now I’m not interested, especially since I thought Mark Wahlberg would make a poor fit for the role of the dad.

- Kunoichi
@Mr_Jin - got a link to a good pirated version of it ?
I’ve never heard of it.
all this advertising on xanga is actually turning me off from the idea.
it sucked!
What? There’s an upcoming movie called “The Lovely Bones”?
i was but since they made her a wannabe xanga elite and pasted her bitch ass all over xanga: fuck NO. NOT NOW.
seen it, blind side was better
